Such friendly caring staff. I had an eye test, which was very comprehensive and was recommended to get my colesterol level checked. I needed new glasses and wanted light frames. I got very good advise on types of frames which would be suitable. I got better service than I could have expected.

On time with only a minor wait. Limited other customers so not crowded at all. Comprehensive eye test. Attempt to upsell more detailed retinal scan for £10 which doesn’t feel right. Friendly pleasant staff. Choice of frames in store bit limited. So overall good but need some sales policy rethink and better stock of frames.

Looked after so well today firstly by Ellis who helped me choosing spectacles, I was early for my examination. He then began with some test on machines such as testing pressure in eyes. He was a pleasant member of staff. I then met Kristian, my Optician. I had a thorough eye test . I was treated very well, not rushed in anyway. Kristian was a friendly , polite and competent Optician. Lastly I met Denise who finalised my appointment with measuring me for my spectacles. Denise spent time with me to get everything right, she was such a caring professional person. My whole experience with Vision Express was 5stars. Will definitely use them from now on.

The service here has decline over the years that I have used the store. Which is a real shame. I was kept waiting some time as the advisor was more interested in his phone call. He could have acknowledged my presence and indicated that he would be with me as soon as possible but no. Didn’t even look up. Was kept waiting to see the optometrist as well. The advisor helping me with picking new frames was friendly which was something. Lastly I very much object to fact that they are now charging extra for the test that can detect early signs of glaucoma. This used to be included in the charge of an eye test but now it is an additional 10 pounds. Meaning people like me on low income and universal credit can’t get it as it not covered by the nhs eye test. Shame that they have decided to put profit ahead of ensuring equal access to eye health.

Denise who dealt with the choice and correct fitting of frames was super helpful and I look forward to picking up my new glasses next week. Also the optician who tested my eyes was cheerful and also very informative about the condition of my eyes.

Although I visited for an eye test I also had a problem with my eye which I asked the staff to look at. The optician was fantastic, very thorough and explained I need to go to A&E for assessment/treatment. She provided me with a very comprehensive letter for the hospital staff which helped them with my treatment

Eye test and Aftercare DENISE is FANTASTIC. However, head office have sent my glasses somewhere else and Maidstone have my order and Head office don't appear to know where my frames and lenses are. Which to be fair isn't the first time. I cannot fault DENISE at all. She's been fantastic at trying to get the glasses to the store. Its a shame they got rid of the lab as used to be able to get glasses made up pretty much same day.

Had a lovely experience with vision express for my trial of contact lenses after a very bad experience from specsavers. Sean was very lovely and made sure I was listened to and did everything to solve my worries. I am looking forward to order my contact lenses after my trial.

I think the sales assistant was called Hannah. She was very helpful and took lots of time with me whilst I was indecisive about my new glasses. She explained how it all worked with varifocals and listened well to the problems I'd had previously with an independent. Very good service. This would have been 5 stars however I took one off as the phone rang continually and the staff were all busy so it couldn't be answered. Seemed short staffed.

I would've given 5 star review for the service but unfortunately the way Vision Express handled my order was unsatisfactory. I rang the store before I went for my appointment as I really liked one of the frames and wanted to find out if they have it on stock as the website states in store only. I spoke to a gentleman who informed that they haven't but can order it for me, but it will take up to 20 days. So I asked at my appointment if they got it which they haven't. A week later I rang back again, still no frame, but they ordered it again. Then a week later I rang again, still no frame, but the lady I spoke to promised that someone will follow it up and ring me back, unfortunately no one did. Then I decided to ring customer service to find out if someone could tell me if this frame still available or not. The lady at CS couldn't tell me but advised that she'll email the store and ask them to call me. This hasn't happened either so I gave up and decided to go to Specsavers. Shame as this could've been a 5 star review if someone would've responded to me.

Excellent service with helpful and attentive staff. The optometrist was more than happy to go over my results and offer some sound advice. Their range of rims is extensive for all budgets. Certainly no pressure to spend more than you want to. Plus their glasses are well made and last a long time. Wouldn't change opticians for anything. Can't speak highly enough.
