I strongly advise this Specsavers branch (at RG2 8HA) to anybody who is looking for a very professional, caring and polite people. You will find more than you could imagine. I had a comprehensive eye test at a convenient price and found a frame fits me very well. People are very kind. Must go and see.

I accompanied my mother for her eye test today. All of the staff without exception were outstandingly helpful. They were attentive and gave clear explanations and helpful advice. We left feeling confident that Mum had been thoroughly and expertly examined and assisted to choose appropriate glasses for comfort and to optimise her vision.

Fantastic service yesterday! I usually use Boots opticians and was a little dubious to whether a small shop would have a good selection of glasses to try on. The optician testing my eyes was very helpful and listened to all of my concerns without rushing me through the appointment. The assistant downstairs didn't rush me either despite the floor being busier and gave me an honest opinion that you sometimes need with spending a money on something that could look very wrong in hindsight. Ihad a really good experience at this store and location made it so much easier for. Hope this helps.

I attended this place and found my parking was so easy. Admittingly I was on my mobilty scooter and it was 8am in the morning. Anyway I went inside for my appointment and was greeted by warm , welcoming smiles. I had my eyes tested and they were worse than I had thought . This required me to get new glasses, so I had seen the glasses online and I decided to buy them. The whole experience was superb . I ordered my new pair and am currently waiting for them to come .

Where do I start with this review... I am overwhelmed with the kindness and care of the entire process. I took my son for a routine eye test. He is currently awaiting assessment for autism and ADHD and hasn't mentioned any issues with eyes so I presumed there would be no problems. The optometrist Sanjeev talked to Noah, explained everything he was doing and was extremely patient. We were both very surprised to learn that Noah had a very, very weak eye. Sanjeev explained to me what it was, how I can help Noah and he went above and beyond writing a letter for me to give to Noah's school so that they could help him and explaining what further help I could ask the school to provide. Sanjeev gave me so much Information about how I can best support Noah. With a short encounter he has had had a huge positive impact on Noah's education. Next, Noah was helped by Luke. Luke was patient with Noah wanting to try on every pair of glasses in existence! He maintained good social distancing, he kept the touched glasses separate and ensured all safety protocols would be in place. He listened to what Noah wanted and talked about the best fittings. Keven did the final collection/fitting with Noah's glasses. He made Noah feel confident, he made sure they fit properly, he took the time to listen to Noah and reassured Noah that he looked cool. He made Noah feel like a little adult, giving him a choice of cases and asking if he would like a bag. He made Noah feel important And when we got to the car he said "mum, he said I look cool" with a very huge smile on his face. Small acts of kindness have huge impacts on people's lives. Although on the surface this was just good eye exam and collection service with good standards of hygiene and polite and kind staff... Underneath that, they have built confidence, listened to someone who often is not heard, taken the time to explain to a worried and some what lost mum what she can do to help And overall have given my son a huge boost. Thank you all so much.

A welcoming place with friendly staffs and great facility. The parking is a bit restricted and the spaces are shared amongst the other traders in the precinct. I had an Audiology appointment and was seen by a consultant in an Optometrist’s room. It was a very small room upstairs with equipment that looked very dated!

I always have a lovely experience at this specsavers branch! Mostly because of their lovely staff and happy to help attitude! They happily refitted two pairs of glasses for me today because after a year they had become slightly loose. They also cleaned them without me asking and spent a lot of time with me when I had popped by with no appointment. Special thanks to the lovely man who looks like Gareth bale! I can’t remember his name unfortunately but he is always so so smiley and happy to help whenever I am in there so thank you to him.

I recently had a new pair of varifocal glasses made as my long distance vision had deteriorated. I first had an eye test which went well. Then a very helpful young man advised me on the type of glasses I needed to accommodate my prescription. I had to wait 2 weeks for my new glasses to be ready which is not too bad but when they arrived, I found that although I could see so much more clearly driving and watching television, I couldn't see my computer screen or prints on paperwork. So I was reduced to wearing my old glasses for work and my new to get to work and back. Not ideal and not the point of varifocals. When I complained, I was told to persevere and that my eyes would adapt!!! I am not convinced as after a week of trying, all I get is pain in my eyes.

This will sound racist but it 8s not meant that way at all, it's just because I can't remember 9 or 10 names. Young asian looking lady who did my machine test, excellent, empathic and a treasure. Very thin Muslim lady optician (ophthalmologist?) extremely professional but a little bit too sharp. 3 white girls working behind the counter a sheer disgrace. I watched 5 customers in a row before me have to interrupt their conversations one by one and one of them had a manager's badge on. Disgusting but do try it yourself if you feel you need to. Go to Broad Street or, better still, go to Boots.
