Eye test for was carried our 2 children. That was fine and carried out the way it was expected. The sales of the glasses was a little disappointing however. We did not receive a call advising that our glasses were due for collection. We chased but no one answered and was notified via a pre recorded message that our number was logged and we would be receiving a call back. We did not. So we just ended up returning ourselves to pick up the glasses. If not for that probably would have given 5 Star.

When I received my glasses last week they were really wonky and not sitting straight i really wasn't happy with them, I went back yesterday and saw a lovely gentlemen named Jack who helped adjust them correctly and made me really happy. Thank you Jack.

Had an excellent eye test and contact lenses test. I'm afraid I forgot the name of the optician I had for my eye test. But the contact lenses optician Shin was brilliant. She made me feel at ease and was so kind and helpful. So did the other optician so I'm so sorry I forgot her name. The other staff members were good and I'm pleased with my new lenses and glasses.

My glasses broke. Staff were very helpful. They looked for alternative frames in the shop and on other locations convenient to me. They were happy to put the lenses in my old frames that were the same free of charge and with a smile. Thank you.

Normally I have had a fantastic experience at this Specsavers, but recently not so much. After 4 attempts to ring them throughout my working day today, I finally got a phone call back. I was told there were no appointments available for 3 weeks. The latest I was told I could have would be 3pm as an adult. Sadly, currently in my line of work I don't get the option of working from home or flexibility during the day. This gave me no other options than Saturday's which are fully booked. Whilst I understand you can only offer certain times to children, this had never been an issue before and I have happily had appointments at 430pm, where I have had permission to leave early from work if I come in early. I apologise for my shocked and sarcastic tone down the phone when I was told this, but when did this change and what about people who work full time jobs? Surely all appointments should be first come first serve? I was finally able to work an alternative of a 9am appointment on a working day, which would work with my shifts. I was wondering when the circumstances changed that blocked out certain appointments for certain ages groups?

Although nice and tidy, I would say their frames and lenses are too expensive. Staff very helpful and understanding throughout.

Very helpful, fully wheelchair accessible however is quite a small options and wheelchair users who have a bigger sized chair may struggle to move around the testing areas and opticians room. Staff were very helpful and understanding.

Brilliant service by the manager - I think her name was Hayleigh. Couldn't be more helpful if she tried. I couldn't believe how interested and nice she was and how nothing was too much trouble for her. I would return to the store simply because of her. The rest of the staff were brilliant as well.

Called in to have the arm on my glasses tightened. All went well. Shop was busy and had to wait just inside the door. Not a lot of space for customers to queue with one lady waiting outside.

I had a wonderful experience when I attended my appointments for contact lenses. It was the first time I had contact lenses and I would like to mention here Rick which was so thorough in explaining everything about the contact lenses in a very professional yet friendly manner. I felt ever so comfortable in the way he was explaining in very small details which made me feel confident in wearing my contact lenses. As wearing them for the first time this was a totally new experience for me and he totally understood that. There would be so many names to mention but I wouldn't remember them all. Hayleigh escorted me upstairs for my appointment and she's been so kind, making conversation and reassuring me but all the staff have always been very attentive and always smiling (which make you feel comfortable band welcome). I had my glasses from the same branch and I've always been treated with respect , professionalism and kindness. Thank you for doing such a great job. Catalina

The staff here are brilliant, good customer service and fast. Highly recommend. Very helpful, and never a test with bad breath. The manageress has helped me every time with no trouble as my prescription is not the easiest.

I just wanted to say how pleased I am with the service at Specsavers Shirley. I had a problem with some glasses I bought late last year and Nathan sorted it all out without any fuss and with total customer service as his priority. I now have the new glasses and will definitely be going back there. Many thanks Nathan and Specsavers!

Had my wax removed from ears very professional,, if I waited for hospital appointment it was earliest 9 wks or longer, which is not acceptable so had very little choice but to pay £50 so we'll done specsavers for offering this service
