Reviews of Greyhope Beach
Wonderful area to take in the huge views north past Aberdeen as far as the area round Peterhead past the windmills off the Balmedie coast
Very isolated and tranquil place to watch the waves crashing against the rocks. You also get a nice view of the city. Great place to watch the sunset from on a clear night.
Stunning views out to sea and over to Aberdeen.
Amazing views. Great place for Sunday relaxation. Free on site parking nearby.
A nice place for a trip out of town. All in all, not far from the center and you will experience peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of the city. Well, maybe I exaggerated the silence because the waves crashing on the shore don't do it silently, but it's the kind of silence we want when relaxing. It's a good idea to walk towards Nigg Bay and then further along the coast. there you will find rugged cliffs and secluded beaches. Of course, the cliffs are not huge at all. 20m but they are still impressive. It is better not to walk on the very edge because it is overgrown with grass and quite slippery even on a sunny, warm day. A fall from such heights is unlikely to end happily, especially since the cliffs are rocky and do not end with deep water, but with rocks protruding above its surface. In some places you can go down to the water line, but you have to be careful with the waves, which may get you wet. If you're lucky, maybe you'll see dolphins? :)
