Lovely outdoor venue. So informative and you get to see a new world of birds. Tickets are affordable. Can buy at the door or online. They do daily flight shows which lasts roughly 30min. Phenomenal to see the owls in their natural habitat and state. The entire venue plus reading the information can take a good 1 and 1/2 hours. The attention to detail at this place is so amazing. You can take a photo with an owl at an additional cost. Keepers are happy to speak and share about the owls. They do so much work in helping owls in the local space and around the world. Different sections to suit the different type of birds natural habitat. Hands on interactive learning for kids. Paved paths for wheelchairs or buggies. Venue is on the grounds of public parks so there is a playground, gold course, space for dogs and cafe. Truly impressed

Absolutely amazing little place. When you first get there you don't think it looks that big, but the amount of birds and owls they actually have is phenomenal. The enclosures are kind of on the small side but all of the birds seemed happy enough. They do daily indoor flying displays too which are 100% worth going to, they definitely made my day. All of the keepers are very friendly and happy to talk to you and tell you about the owls. Small play area, cafe, shop, and public toilets just outside. Definitely well worth a visit
M. B.
Great place to visit. The owls seem well looked after and everywhere was clean. The flying display was great and it was very informative. Kids loved it. All the staff were friendly. Definitely recommend visiting.

Had a lovely time here! Loads of owls to see and the informative talk was also great, we learned loads! At first glance, looks like a small place and we thought we'd be done in half an hour but ended up spending 2 hours here. Really really enjoyed our day out, highly recommend
J. B.
We had a great time here. The flying display was informative and an opportunity to see the birds up close. The staff were very passionate about the owls and shared lots of facts and anecdotes about the birds, including conservation work.
P. J.
What a fantastic day we've had at the Scottish owl centre, full of wonderfulness and variety.
Fantastic for family and all ages, a well stocked gift shop too.
Can't wait to return.

Amazing Collection of Owls , make sure you squeeze in the meet the owls experience and the flying show. Learnt some fascinating facts about owls. Did you know not all owls are nocturnal? One owl has been known to kill a human!
A. S.
A lovely centre with amazing birds! The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable, everyone is willing to chat and answer questions. We weren't able to make the show, but look forward to seeing it next time.

Great sanctuary. Saw a lot of owls, which was exciting. The show was nice too. The only thing that was off-putting was the bathrooms, which are the park bathrooms so they're not a part of the owl centre. The park bathrooms, if you're interested, have no toilet seat and it's a weird experience. The owl centre, on the other hand, is so fun and unique. Will definitely be back!

Very educational place for all things Owls, with a wide variety of species on view and a flying display experience that has you up close with different birds. A great place for kids and adults alike. Set in a Country Park, with a Cafe, plenty parking and also a Golf Course and Driving Range in the same setting.

What a lovely place to visit, many owls I have never seen, which was great. Suitable for all ages, reasonable price, sadly with an autistic child we only lasted an hour, oh and there is a mega slide for the kids.
M. J.
It is amazing place to go to, I really recommend to arrive early to take a part in meeting some of the owls and see flying display which shows how much care and bond keepers have with the owls.
E. H.
Wonderful to see so many different species of owls. Lots of information available from staff. Really enjoyed the flying display.

After passing the sign for this many times on the way to Edinburgh i was so excited to finally visit. I recommend people to get there for the first owl flight show and then stay for the second showing too as there may be different owls flying. The cafe closed earlier than i was expecting so make sure you get to that in the afternoon before the second flying show. There is also a nice undercover area to sit and eat your own sandwiches and loads of park area outside to go and explore. I'd say young children might get a little bored of the walking and struggle to see the owls in their habitats but older kids 7+ will be a good age to enjoy it.

This was the Highlight of our tour to Scotland. The staff is extremely comitted and the owl encounter was an unforgettable experience for our son Thank you so much to Trystan for sharing His compassion for these wonderful animals with us
A. D.
Very interesting place been meaning to go for sometime always passed by going other places but made a point in going on Tuesday and we'll worth the visit beautiful owls from all over enjoyed the flying display hosted by Nicole and Tristan separate times very informative if your tall duck as I had my hair brushed for me by a couple of owls lol staff very friendly and have time to chat and very knowledgeable about all the owls highly recommend.

We took our two grandchildren aged 3 and 4. Great outside play area. The children enjoyed this and seeing the owls in the centre. There's a small cafe, the staff there were very helpful but none wearing masks and no social distancing. There's picnic benches outside the cafe. The actual talk and flying of the owls takes place inside. Girl brings out three owls one at a time. She knew her stuff but the actual talk was aimed at older kids or adults, way over the head of younger ones. I enjoyed it but had to leave with grandchildren after first two owls as it was too long for them. There's also a small shop on the way into the Centre, the staff throughout the whole place are lovely and very helpful.
I've taken one star off because of toilets. There were three ladies toilets in the whole place, one was out of use. They are obviously not checked at any stage during the day and were a mess. There were quite a few large groups of Sumner schemes there too all using two toilets. I would advise taking wipes into loos with you.
M. M.
A fantastic day out that’s worth every penny! The range of owls is amazing with well built enclosures. Easy to see most of the owls (one or two were nesting in the box) and fun layout with a playground/picnic area in the center.
The flying displays is the crown to this wonderful place. Thoroughly enjoyed learning about the owls from a talented keeper who had the owl flying over the audience. Incredible experience. Will definitely be back!
c. c.
So many beautiful owls to see! The talk and flying show are both fascinating and presented by knowledgeable and friendly experts. Can't wait to go again 🦉👍❤

The Scottish Owl Centre is a must visit!
They have such a large variation of owls on display, with such wildly different backgrounds and life styles.
The head keeper was out in the centre with the small owl pictured (named Groot) and was more than happy to stop and chat and answer our questions. All the members of staff here are so friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. I learned so much during my visit.
The flying show was absolutely amazing. There is something breathtaking about being able to see these owl flying right by/over you, and eating their favourite foods. I fully intend on going back again, it was such a joyful experience!
I highly recommend making a visit here, it is worth the short travel from both Edinburgh and Glasgow!
Once again thank you to the kind staff who really made our day.
S. B.
Absolutely amazing place. So many different species of owls. Once you've paid, you can come & go as you please which is brilliant as younger kids can get bored after a while. There's an included flying display of the owls which for some younger kids might be scary as they can fly over your head. The lady doing the flying show was really informative & we found it super interesting. Really impressed with the place & our kids loved it.
C. H.
Highly recommend visiting, I had a great couple of hours seeing all the owls and taking photos of them. Loads of information on them as you go round and in the learning centre part, never knew there were so many different breeds of owl! They appear to be really well looked after and content. Don't miss the flying display, really informative and great opportunity to take videos and photos. I thought it was very reasonably priced as well. If you wanted to make it a full day out there's a cafe outside or take a picnic into the park where there's lots of walks and a kids play area too.
t. w. g.
Had a fantastic time at the scottish owl centre. They had an owl flying display. There are many different species of owl at the centre too.
J. K.
This place is amazing! We were lucky enough to be there for the flying show. We learned sooo much about owls that we decided to put up a nesting box for them. Beautiful, stunning birds.
D. T.
Great place full of many unusual species. Really great value tickets. Easy to access and excellent knowledgeable and friendly staff.
S. M.
Great place! Staff are friendly, engaging and educational. We visited on the Queen's funeral bank holiday and were really pleased the Owl Centre was open. Great play facilities inside and lots of interactive activities for kids.
There's also a great play area at the park outside, so it could easily be an all-day visit. Looking forward to going back and trying the nearby café. Owl teddies are a bit pricey but it's a captive market. Admission and owl handling great value.
P. G.
Informative staff, friendly. The flying display is worth a visit, amazing to see birds that are rare, flying in front of your eyes.
K. B.
Great day out with the kids, age 11 and 15, worth every penny. The flying displays were brilliant and very informative
S. G.
We enjoyed our visit. The flying display was outstanding. We had close-up views of owls, accompanied with a really informative narrative about the owls. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very receptive to questions.
I recommend that you visit the centre.
A.
The Scottish owl center is such a pleasantly fun day out. There are so many different types of owls to see, with a couple of owl shows running throughout the day. And the staff are ready to teach you all about their lovely owls.
Wasn't busy visiting on a weekday in October.
A. C.
Wide variety of owls. The focus on education and conservation is very good. Helpful and informative staff.
S. T.
A fantastic day out even with current limitations in place. Huge variety of owls to see. Play park for the kids. Flying display is 10/10 and very educational. Little cafe is open and loads of adorable ornaments in the gift shop. Highly recommended!
A. M.
It was so great. So so many cute owls and the background knowledge and the friendly staff there is incredible! A must for everyone who wants to learn about these unique and stunning creatures!
K. G.
Fantastic Place. Amazing Owls. My son loves it. The show is brilliant. Well worth it. Expect to be here for about 2 to 3 hours. All for a good cause
B. R.
Great place with fantastic collection of owls. Don't miss the flying display as it is very informative and entertaining. Being in an enclosed space with an owl free flying close over head was magic!
L. F.
Visited Saturday and had the best time! The staff are so lovely and really welcoming. The display was really informative and fun to watch. So much to see and do. My boys loved it! Highly recommended for a day out. The cafe was really great too. The staff were equally lovely and the cake was delicious!
C. W.
One word Amazing been to a lot of wildlife/conservation places and this one gets top Mark's staff is amazing and so are the owls. The flight exhibits are cool and informative. The diversity of owls is second to none saw so many species it was a truly amazing experience and a highlight of our trip.
I. M.
Second visit here. Really good especially if you have kids. Such beautiful creatures. Staff are friendly and we went in to see the flying display at 13.30 (there is another one at 15.30, check website). Staff member was very informative and amusing. Cafe is good, tea, coffee and soft drinks and cakes/biscuits.
N.
The centre itself is a bit out of the way but once you're there it's pretty amazing. The selection of owls here is vast and there's plenty of information provided about each one. There are frequent flying shows and the host provides interesting facts about each bird in the show. Pricing is very reasonable considering you can look around for as long as you want, come and go as you please and access the flying show all day.
If you are going the be prepared to take a lot of photos.
L. F.
Excellent place to visit, especially with kids, flight display was good, but if your children are 3 & under they may get irritable between the birds flying around and the keeper talking. Excellent value for money, definitely recommend this place.
C. A.
Had a good day at the Scottish Owl Centre. It's a little hard to find which part is the centre when you enter. Decent amount of disabled parking.
The flying displays that happen during the year are one of the best parts. The volunteer who gave the talk/show was amazing and so enthusiastic. You can also pay to get a framed photo taken with an owl (£6) or take a photo yourself (£4). I would have happily paid £6 just to get to hold the owl. Lulu the owl was very sweet.
I think a nice addition in the future would be an audio guide to listen to the descriptions as you walk around, this would help the visually impaired.
The on-site cafe was decent, if a little expensive.
C. W.
The Owlrey is so much fun and educational for anyone interested in birds. The staff were super friendly and passionate about their owls and the flying displays were amazing. Also a great little cafe for a bite to eat and a biscuit. Would definatley recommend.
J. M.
good place for a family trip, staff very friendly, large playground next to the center, we will definitely come back to this owl center
T.
Lovely day out. Flying displays amazing handler makes sure that everyone gets a good view of the birds and are very friendly and knowledgeable.
Opportunity for pictures holding an owl as well
N. G.
Really enjoyed this place. It was a recommendation to come here from my Dad as something to do while travelling down to the lake district. It was really easy to find. Extremely reasonably priced and all the staff were very friendly. There was a talk at 11.30 which we arrived just in time for and we all learned so much about owls. There was a flying display in the afternoon but due to us travelling we weren't able to stay for this.
The place was really clean and tidy and there was lots of information about all owls. The tickets last all day too, so we were able to leave and come back later if we wanted to. There was plenty of areas around the centre including a coffee shop, toilets and a play park with picnic benches. There was also a golf course.
We will definitely come back again in the future.
A. H.
We had a lovely afternoon at the Owl Centre! Many of the owls were nesting so we had to approach the aviaries quietly. The weather was spitting rain a bit so it wasn't busy at all. Loved it. Definitely best to go when its quiet.
Saw the flying demonstration as well. The host spoke well and had lots of information to share about the two owls. A little disappointing that there were only two -- would love to have seen more in action but understandable given the time of year!
Only real downside were the toilets. No actual toilets in the facility -- have to use the public ones outside. They were the strangest public toilets I've ever been in. Hard to describe, you just need to experience them for yourself.
J. C.
Excellent day out. Highly recommend.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Indoor flying display allows birds to fly in all weather conditions.
Café supplies excellent meals, teas, coffee and cakes.
S.
I love this place, I spend there like 3 hours just by myself. I realise they have some searching game for kids, however I didn't liked them crazy yelling and running around. However the owls and display is lovely.
J. B.
Kids loved seeing the Owls. The owl slide was also a favourite. We enjoyed the flying display too.
G. T.
Very interesting place to see you will not be not let down there is over a 100 different Owls to see and they do a flying show 4 times a day.

Organised 1 hour owl handling experience as a birthday present for someone. Well worth the money. It's a private experience which makes a nice change to other places where you might share the time with others in a small group. You can have spectators for around £11: they see the owls just as closely and can take photos, you just don't hold them as the 'experiencer' of your party does. You hold 3 owls at the beginning, and then fly three more in the indoor arena. The keeper provides information, shares stories, answers any questions. We had a lovely time. I'd recommend it.
C. F.
We visited on a snowy day, and watched a flight display. Even as a childless couple it was a great date; it's fun to get in touch with the wonder of childhood as an adult and to get to see majestic owls up close. I felt like I was in Diagon Alley, visiting Eelop's Owl Emporium before packing up for Hogwarts!
C.
An absolutely fantastic collection of beautiful birds and lovely staff. A great day out for anyone with an interest in animals. Their informative and engaging live shows will leave you feeling well entertained! Great day out.
D. M.
A lot of work been done here, needs abit more work but definitely getting there, worth going for the bird displays, same as most animal places you go to the staff are excellent with the animals but have no social skills with people, apart from Ruth who was one of the helpers
A. M.
Great afternoon, the flying displays are brilliant. Informative, and close up flying.
My 2yo was loving how close they were to us
K. S.
Wow what a fantastic little place. I say little, you can spend the whole day there. The owls are so well looked after and their enclosures are adapted to their natural environment. The flying displays are spectacular. The staff are super friendly and approachable. Highly recommend a visit.
M. M.
Great for all. Loads of variety but small enough for my 3 Yr old to walk round wwithout any problems.
Knowledgeable and helpful staff.
We will be back.
o.
Many owls. Show . One of best 8,5£ what I spend. Bring your friends and family. Children's will be happy at this place.
C. Z. (.
Great place to visit, full of gorgeous owls. The flying display was fantastic. Buggy and wheelchair accessible.
J. M.
Beautiful birds and well informed staff. Zoos are always a little sad. Could they get bigger enclosures?
N. C.
I really liked this place , there where so many owls that I never heard of and I definitely learned something there , it was very fun!!!
The owls where so cute😄
R. P.
Had a good morning looking around and meeting the owls, unfortunately we missed the flight displays. There's quite a few species to see and a couple of non-owls also. There's a small playground (owl shaped) area inside, a small gift shop and a cafe on the other side of the courtyard. It is wheelchair and pushchair accessible though.
G. N.
Been to Polkemmet Park many times but never thought to visit the Owl Centre. This time we specifically went to visit and glad we did. Great value and so many owls to see. The flying display was also very interesting. Would have stayed longer had it not been winter. Will definitely be back when the weather improves.
L. M.
Fantastic place to visit. Great day out for my grandsons birthday.
M. S.
Great experience, owl habitats very spacious and well maintained. Would definitely visit again.
C. P.
Excellent experience. We booked the private guide. Well worth it.
M. H.
Great day out here only reason I dropped a star was the cafe had closed down so nowhere to get a drink or something to eat. Was told hopefully new owners soon for the cafe.
I. B.
A wee treat for the owl mad 3yr old, totally loved the educational bits and also the birds. Enjoyed the play park next door too. Sadly the cafe was closed 🙄 But overall a great value day out.
A. B.
Great place to visit for young and old.

A lovely and interesting place, great place for kids and very knowledgeable employees. Everybody was very friendly and the owls are just gorgeous to look at anyway.
V. W.
Didn't know what to expect it was great staff so friendly. Plenty of owls and the owl display was great.
M. N.
Definitely a place to visit. More species of owl here than anywhere in Brittain.
M. O.
Beautiful birds, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Would easily go again. Great day out
C. E.
Great variety of owls, with suitable and safe enclosures for their safety. The live show I saw was stunning and and keepers are very knowledgeable about the owls they have on site.
150 owls with information about each one , explaining the conservation issues and what is being done to help out
Highly recommend!!
c. w.
A great day out! Reasonably priced for what you see..the flying show was great too, very informative, great to learn more about these fascinating birds. Would have been nice if the Courtyard Cafe had been open,I'm sure they would have had a busy day. Girl at reception was a great help, also nice and friendly and welcoming..Recommend this place and will definately return.
c. s.
My 8 Yr old loved this place.....and still talks about it!!!(must be good then)
B. B.
Absolutely magical visit to see these most majestic birds, will definately return again and again
D. S.
A good variety of owls, photo op and an owl show. I love owls so I did enjoy my visit, but I was disappointed in the overall cleanliness/vibe/environment of the place. Wish they'd make it nicer. It has the potential to be a top notch tourist attraction.
J. K.
Great job being done by the staff and volunteers.
The owls are all in good shape and are very well presented.
The demonstration is both informative and entertaining.
C. I.
Brilliant loads of owls and they do a flying display nice cafe and plenty toilet facilities and they have a shop to buy ornaments tshirts of owls and posters
S. S.
Fantastic day out, over 100 Owls to see each one has it's own information board also the staff are really friendly, highly recommend the flying demonstration, the young girl was very informative, looking to buy a season ticket, well worth the money.
C. M.
A great collection of owls from around the world. The staff are knowledgeable and passionate about the owls and the flying display was informative and fun with one of the big owls.
A let down however is the 1 minute per child of holding an owl whilst you take a picture is £4 per child! Charging once per family would have been fair - see how world of wings in Cumbernauld do it.
Unfortunately having been charged so much for this marred the experience for us and means we will not be back in a long time nor recommending which is a real shame.
R. W.
Brilliant. Great for kids and without kids. Highlight was the owl show.
Y. M.
An awesome day out. Very conscious about making it covid friendly. Great for the kids and adults alike.
B. A.
Lovely place and there are great displays
D. N.
Excellent place to visit, very easy to find.
There are so many owls (and other birds) spread out all of different sizes.
The flight show was really good to see, they explained how they are part of a larger breeding program to help boost numbers, and gave lots of useful information!
We will be back.
S. F.
Was fascinating & staff were very knowledgeable. Loved seeing so many different owls from around the world
S. T.
Amazing :) definitely worth to pay a visit, lots of owls, very kind and informative staff, nice place. Children friendly, family friendly.
T. B.
Smaller than i was expecting. And the cages were smaller than I would have liked. But the birds seem to be well loved by the people running the place and they do have quite a few birds here!
It was a good afternoon out for the family. The flying display are done in a small indoor room and we only got to see 2 birds which was a bit of a disappointment but the lady was good to listen to and seemed very knowledgeable.
l. c.
Lots of different types of owl's,
Knowlege + facts with good close ups for taking pictures, Relaxed atmosphere
C. P.
A fantastic setting for a birthday party. My 7 year old and her 12 friends had such a good time. The private flying display was a real hit. We all had a good time despite the rainy weather and hope to be back soon. Thank you, Owl Centre for your calm presence and knowledgeable staff.
T. P.
Such an amazing place with so many beautiful birds. Kids loved it :)
B. J.
I absolutely love it. Great place for families. It is run by people with passion for owls and you can feel it. Lots of owls to admire and also you can see flying owls over your head. Great experience
J. W.
A First Class day out. This is a major conservation project - as many species of owl as you're likely to find in any collection in the world. Most of them are cared for as far as possible unconditioned by human contact; a few are hand-reared for flying displays. Staff are dedicated, deeply knowledgeable, and great to talk to. Two flying displays a day, indoors so they can't get rained off. Good friendly and inexpensive cafe. Educational. As far from Disney-style wild-life exploitation as you can imagine. Excellent for kids.
E. H.
The flying shows are absolute stunners! Excellent collection of owls and lots of information to be learnt about these beautiful creatures. Keen walkers and nature lovers will surely admire this place. Shame we never managed to try the cafe as it was closed when we visited. The staff and volunteers transmit their enthusiasm very well. Very approachable and you could see they absolutely love what they do. The play area was good but we feel it could do with more options to keep little ones entertained. Plenty of parking spaces available. Great place.
E. G.
Great place, and a huge variety of Owls to see. The show is great and very Informative.Watch out for the swooping Owls during the show, they like to fly close to your head! Lots of parking and great cafe too. Staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Great day out for adults and kids.
a. m.
This was a great experience. The talks and displays are really interesting and educational.
U. S.
Lovely place for an afternoon especially with children. The variety of owl species really impressive. Display of flying and a professional commentary really enjoyable. Never realised that owl fly so fast and silent. You can see that employees love the place and birds feel well cared. Highly recommended.
K. B.
Really fascinating to see and hear about the different species of owls. Staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. Great family day
T. C.
It's a great centre and Head Keeper was very informative! You could see that he loves his job! The owls are super cute! I'm in love with little Poncho! :D Loved the flying display for the owls!! Great day out as you can have picnics and walk around Polkemmet park!
P. S.
Flying display is excellent, a must see, when u visit.
M. C.
Loved it good we day out show was really good to highly recommend
A. M.
Great fun lots of owls and staff were so friendly
J. B.
Great day out for all the family. Up close and personal with these wonderful creatures. Flying show was fabulous and informative.
S. M.
Was a good morning out would find it difficult to spend anymore than an hour or 2 here. My only complaint would be the talks were spaced to far apart after listening to the first talk and continuing to walk round and see the rest of the owls there was still 2 hours until the next flying display. But still an enjoyable hour out and the children enjoyed learning about the owls.
T. D.
This place is fantastic. To see so many fantastic and exotic owls and their equally fantastic carers who are passionate and enthusiastic is really uplifting to see.
To have such a world renowned and important centre in the heart of Scotland is very inspiring.
The facility is minimalistic but not wasteful. All the money goes to the animals. There are constant improvements every time I visit. New paths. Decorations. Enclosures.
The country park it is situated in is very well maintained with a nice wee cafe for food and drinks. The cafe is a little on the expensive side. But is good enough for what it is.
The flying displays are the highlight of a visit. Seeing a lovely variety of ambassador owls is fun and educational. Makes for some great photo opportunities too!
D. D.
Loved the Centre, so many owls to see and we saw a flying display. I sponsor a barn owl there so it was good to see him. There is also a play area near by so all in all a great day out for the family at a very reasonable price.
H.
Loved it, under 3's go free and my 2 year old had a ball. We went Friday afternoon and missed a big school group so it was pretty quiet. I was amazed at the size and variety of owls. I had no idea. The talk at 1.30pm and flying show was great next time so next time we will try catch the 11.30am one which is more interactive I believe.
Afterwards we went to the play park next door which is great for kids still happy to enjoy swings etc and the cafe was lovely, super friendly and helpful and not expensive. Thumbs up from us.
C. M.
Fascinating and action packed bird of prey show. The young lady (sorry didn't catch her name) was extremely knowledgeable and definitely knew her stuff. She then went on to take charge of the public having photos taken with the owls and then we saw her on reception on the way out! Multitasking at its finest! Beautiful owls in the rest of the sanctuary and a great place for children and adults to learn about this species.
B. T.
If you're a fan of owls (or birds) it's well worth a few hours to spend here. Most of the owls are visible and some are active so it's great to look around. The flying display was well made, both entertaining and full of interesting facts about owls.
C. F.
Loved my visit to the Owl Centre, the talks were informative with displays of flying.
R. S.
Visiting the Scottish Owl Centre was like a dream come true. Seeing the flying display and all the birds was absolutely wonderful. The staff were knowledgable, helpful and they so obviously love what they do. The Centre was also very disabled-friendly, as everything was on the level, and the disabled parking was close to the entrance.
I will definitely visit again, as soon as I can: it's not only an uplifting experience, it's also educational and the admission price is extremely good value.
Highly recommended!
S. B.
Absolute gem of a place. Who'd have thought there were that many breeds of owls, and all in one place, and all so well looked after.!
An amazing day out and one that we'll certainly be doing again. Cannot fault it, and there's a handy wee cafe opposite plus an amazing Park just outside!! Highly recommended whatever the weather.
G. T.
Fantastic centre with a wide variety of owls and a few other birds. Many of them were breeding, with eggs or young in their enclosure so they're well looked after. Definitely worth a visit, and the flying display is worth seeing too.
e. s.
Lovely place to visit, and the people are too
P. H.
Awesome! So many owls to admire. Great day out and plenty to see and do
S. S.
This exhibit was a great and quite informative. The staff knows a great deal about the owls and it is easy to tell how much they care. I wasn't in this beautiful country for long but the Owl Centre was a must for us before we left. The owls seemed happy and healthy. I hope to see this Centre continue working to help creatures in need.
J. L.
Lovely space. Really recommend the flying show!
G. M.
Great for all very educational my kids loved it
A. M.
Wonderful day out. At £8.50 for an adult ticket, it's pretty cheap too.
The Scottish owl centre has a huge variety of owls, and their flying shows are super. I learned loads about the conservation efforts, different species and had a really good day out.
Their displays are in an indoor barn, but most of the centre is outdoor based. Take a warm and waterproof jacket!
G. C.
Always an enjoyable visit, time passed by to quickly, the indoor flight area can get rather hot in the summer but good to see the owls flying so close.plenty if owls to see and some of them are rather strange looking
B. (. R.
The small facility is quite calm (on a week-day), and the staff is nice and very helpful. The enclosures seem small but the birds relatively happy.
Good for animal enthusiasts or owl lovers. Would definitively advise going on a week-day during school times if you are not afraid of the calm so you have all the time to talk with the trainers and staff.
P. M.
We had a brilliant afternoon today at the Scottish Owl Centre. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. The owl encounter was well worth it, meeting 5 owls and hearing all about them (photos galore!). Even if you don't opt for the encounter, the centre is well worth the visit to see the many owls they house, the flying display and you can pay a small amount to have your photo taken with an owl at the end of the display. I would highly recommend to owl / animal lovers, a great afternoon out.
R. A.
Great variety of owls, well kept, and keepers really know their stuff
g. e.
Brilliant staff good day out for kids dogs bowling green grass golf and ofcourse the owls
C. B.
It was very good. The only downside was the weather which was cold and wet - not as forecast. Unfortunately the cafe was closed so we could not get hot drinks and there was nowhere warm to sit. Hopefully the cafe will open soon. Would like to visit on a warm day. The owl talk and display was excellent but we were too cold to wait for the second one.
L. S.
A little bit out of the way, but that's good for the Owls. Lovely place with great staff - the flying displays are excellent and you can tell the people working there really care for the Owls, and love what they do. Well worth a visit - good for kids too, and plenty of space to play and sit in the park afterwards if the weather is right for it.
B. I.
Great place to visit! Lot's of different types of species, a cafe if you need to sit and have a drink. Staff very polite. I would say go at a time when they have their flying shows because they help you learn and understand more about owls and get right involved even flying above your heads, standing on a bench nexts to you etc
C. M.
Fab day out for all the family owls so well cared for 😄 staff so friendly and informative.
S. D.
Great place if you like owls with a massive variety of species.
E. C.
Even if not on traditional tourist guides and routes, this venue is worth a visit. The place is small with a cozy cafe but there are a lot of stars to see... a huge variety of owls. Really fun and there's also a big park for children and, if you are into it, a golf course just outside
C. N.
Absolutely loved it! Would definitely go back!
L. A.
Beautiful owls and a great centre you can see how much the staff love the birds

C. Q.
Great selection. Knowledgeable staff and the displays are awesome
A. C.
Such a great place. Amazing array of owls and fantastic talks
M. A.
I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of species of owls available, however I felt the larger owls enclosures were small and no room for them to fly.
The Kookaburras tried to fly and caught beak in fencing so I feel expansion is required. I would come again and would hope to see improvement which I appreciate all takes funding. Possibly the coffe shop will be open next time I come too which would have been useful for the adults and my granddaughter.
H. M.
So many different species, wow! I took a 7 year old who is obsessed so she loved it. Watching the owl flying and being fed was abit scary (for me!) but worthwhile. Cute shop, nice cafe and really good park onsite so well worth the trip
K. N.
The flying show was very informative and there are a large variety of owls well displayed in various habitats. We enjoyed the visit.

Nice attraction. Plenty of owls. Think it undersells itself. Nice little cafe nearby. Play park outside is huge but overrun with chavs. Only take your little one to the play park if you wish to have them learn new 'words'. Only place I've ever heard a mum tell her kid "Come here you little c**t"
M. Y.
