Great rooms, really well put together, and a lovely venue with a small bar area too. Just the right level of hints from our host Stuart. Really enjoyed the Finest Hour game, excellent theming and good logical puzzles.

Team JACED This was a Christmas present for the kids from a year ago ! Due to covid we finally got it booked. The 5 of us had an absolutely great time. It was better than we expected. Brilliant rooms and props and excellent staff. We would highly recommend Blackbeard's treasure as a starter one as we did.

Shay set us up and was super friendly and polite. She even took our photo at the end where we got to hold prop swords. We did The Fourth Samurai room and enjoyed it immensely. The room was very cleverly done and each puzzle had a logical progression to the next one, which isn't always the case in some escape rooms. I really enjoyed the use of sound effects to let you know something had unlocked somewhere.

Decided to come here under recommendation from a friend. Our group of 5 decided to do "Our Finest Hour", and this was an incredible first look into the world of Escape Rooms for me! Stuart was incredibly friendly, and did an excellent job as the game master, giving us a gentle nudge when we were stuck. The room itself had an amazing atmosphere, and was very immersive. Great times were had by all, and I will definitely be returning to try other rooms.

First time doing an escape room and i’m glad I chose Escape Hunt Birmingham central and the Our Finest Hour room. Based on WW2 and Britain against the Nazis. From the vibe of the rooms to the workers, specifically Justin who was very welcoming and accommodating from when we entered to when we left. He gave us useful clues and took some photos for us once we had completed the room. Thank you very much!!!!!! He really created a great atmosphere. Cant wait for the next escape ✌🏼

My friend and I went to the Doctor Who Worlds Collide game. We are both Doctor Who finds and it was great to feel immersed in that world. There is no prior knowledge of the show required though. Our games master was Xavier. He really enhanced our experience of the game. He was friendly and helpful, making sure we had a great time. He was on hand throughout the game to help us by giving a gentle prod when we started to veer off track. It really helped so we didn’t lose valuable minutes. We managed to escape in 52 minutes, which I was really pleased about. Xavier was on hand then to ask for our feedback and continue to improve our experience by taking as many photos as we wanted. It was a brilliant experience and a great fun day out. A big thanks to Xavier for making it so much fun.

An hour of fun and laughter. Booked the Fourth Samurai game. Group of 5 as a birthday treat. Staff very friendly, Disabled friendly, lift available. Only cons for me were the voiced clues were quite low voiced, could do with raising the volume a little more. The lighting was dimmed at the start which made it quite difficult to see around and get clues or complete task. Otherwise I would fully recommend it and will be visiting again.

Visited over the weekend. Did the our finest hour room, was absolutely amazing despite not getting to escape but was told for our first ever escape room we did well. Had an amazing experience and our game master Luke did an amazing job at staying in character and helping us out when we needed. We did The Fourth Samurai this time and it was probably one of the best rooms we've done, a lot of fun and just the right level of difficulty to be challenged but not frustrated. Went for Doctor Who Worlds Collide, gamesmasters were Luke & Shannon. Was a well set up room, and kept us figuring things out right up to the end. Just the right amount of hints, enough to grease the wheels, and a nice and immersive supportive voice to help. Overall, would definitely come back for another or recommend to anyone else.

We visited here for the first time for our grandsons, 13th birthday. We chose Blackbeards adventure. Having never done an escape room before, it was nothing like we expected it to be, however, we had great fun. We managed to finish in 53.06 minutes and that was our objective. We will definitely visit again and give the staff a well deserved 10/10 from start to finish they made the whole experience enjoyable

The day was Sunday, the time was 12 noon, and the place was Birmingham Central. The egg community descended upon Escape Hunt ready for a challenge. Once we got past the initial barrier of the front door, all that was between us and victory was two flights of stairs. The stats: 10 eggs, 2 escape rooms, 60 minutes. Our valiant Game Master, Keith (with a smiley face) welcomed us and explained the proceedings. Keith even joined in with the choral singing of "egg, egg, egg" etc. Needless to say the escape room was a tremendous success, with one and a half wars successfully avoided between the two groups. Not bad for an hour's work. Our peacekeeping efforts finished, we had a lovely chat with Keith and then hit the streets of Birmingham once more with our new codebreaking skills. It would have been lovely to be given the drinks that we asked for at the start of our experience, when we asked we were told we'd be offered them shortly and then the escape room was prepared and staff told us it was better to have them at the end. Nevermind, we were still happy eggs.

This was our second time visiting Escape Hunt, the first being just before Covid and just like the first time, our experience was brilliant! Our Games Master? was the wonderful Tig! He was fantastic and really brought the room to life! We played the pirate one the first time and this time we played The Fourth Samurai! We really enjoyed it and Tig's comedic timing made it all the better! Unfortunately we didn't escape, but we got so so close! Tig was kind enough to go through the room with us after our time ran out and told us where we did well and how we compared to others percentage wise too. He offered us a discount to play another room but unfortunately we had other commitments later in the day or we would totally have played another! We would 100% recommend coming to play here - we would have come sooner but you know- the dreaded c word 😪 Thank you for a fantastic game and thank you so much, Tig! 🥰

Never done or attempted an escape room before and wasn't quite sure what to expect. However when I arrived and met our GamesMaster Robert who was friendly chap who explained what the overall objective was and gave us a quick rundown on what to do if there was any problems. When it came to entering the room itself Robert really helped to get us into the pirate theme of the room with a wonderful pirate accent telling us the backstory of the room. And this accent didn't stop when he gave us the occasional hint when we got stumped on what to do next. When it comes to the room itself it was setup properly with the whole place feeling like you were in the area its set around nicely. The fact the puzzles were not always immediately obvious meant we had to search thoroughly and think about what we had to do. There is some puzzles included to throw you off the scent as well which I found made you think harder about if the puzzle would help towards the goal or not. There is a way to get help if you require which was included within the rooms backstory. The feeling of pressure when the games master tells you that you only have too much time left really added to the suspense and made us doubt if we were actually going to complete the room. Luckily we did with only 40 seconds left to spare. Overall a great time out with friends or family that I would highly recommend.

Myself, Mum and Two sisters loved our Escape room!!!!!Its engaging and fun, there is never a moment you aren't looking for clues or scratching your head trying to figure it out! Actors were all so amazing, and really set the scene. I think we had 2 seconds left to escape, cannot recommend enough, such a buzz.

Very well designed and thought out escape room. We did the 'worlds collide' room. The puzzles were challenging but not so difficult to make it frustrating. Staff were very professional and friendly. They put a lot of effort into making the whole experience really fun. The waiting area is cosy and comfy with a well stocked bar. Still quite expensive at £30 pp though.

All of the clues were really fun to crack and thankfully we had someone to guide us through when we were totally stuck. Will definitely return to Escape Hunt!!!! Would like to mention Reece, who helped us throughout our hour and was extremely friendly. He showed us how to complete the final tasks at the end and made the experience very special for us. Took on the Dr Who/ Cybermen themed room. Although we didn't manage to escape, it was a joy to see the kids using their inquisitive minds to solve puzzles/ clues. Justin was our Games Master on the day and was a great host. Will definitely visit again.

As far as escape room first experiences go, this was… fantastic. If you're looking for an escape room experience, this is a great choice. I did Blackbeard's Treasure with two friends and it was the perfect balance of challenging, fun, and intuitive. You've got a Games Master who can see and hear you and provide clues in a fun, in-character kind of way. Keeps you immersed, keeps it fun. Shoutout to Luke, our GM who made our experience even more enjoyable and engaging. Management if you're reading this, give him a nice Christmas bonus or something 👍 Staff were friendly, facilities were nice, I'm honestly not sure I can think of anything bad. As I said, a great choice for everyone looking at this kind of experience.

Best escape room I've done so far, the Japanese theming for the last samurai was great with a mix or practical thinking and puzzle solving. Keith looked after us and the clue he gave was subtle enough to help but wasn't on the nose. Look forward to coming back!

This was our first time in an escape room. The game lasted an hour and the concierge was brilliant at her role. We played the Samurai game which was quite entertaining and kept us thinking throughout the experience. This is a good activity for team building and is fun if you like solving puzzles. We are already planning on booking into the other games they have there. I personally would enjoy a longer than 1 hour escape room, but the rest of our team thought it was the right length. The hour whizzed past with the amount of activities we had to work through and nobody in our party of 6 ever found themselves with nothing to do. Well done Escape Hunt!! On a side note if you are travelling by car, there is an extremely reasonably priced NCP car park (especially in the weekend) very close by.

Really enjoyed visiting Escape Hunt again, we have been twice now and both times we have left feeling very satisfied with our visit. On entering all the Covid-19 rules are in place and adhered to which made us feel safe. I am disabled in a wheelchair but there is a lift that can be used to access the nice wide reception room above. The reception room and the escape rooms are brilliantly themed and attention to detail on the rooms is great. Outside each room there is a locked box to put phones or any other items in as no phones or filming equipment are allowed inside the rooms to prevent spoiling the mystery of the puzzles within. This seemed very secure and we were happy to leave our belongings in the box. The rooms are well thought out. We have visited two now and both tested us and were alot of fun. The staff are really nice and helpful, and make sure that your visit goes really well. They explain everything and are at hand if you get stuck (like we did often!) 😂 There are toilets, including disabled, which are nice and clean and have good facilities, and a small bar to have drinks before or after your game if desired. Overall a really great time, we highly recommend coming to this place and we will be back to tackle another room soon.

So this Thursday, my wife and I decided to put our teamwork to the test. After all, teamwork makes the dream work! I think the first thing to mention because it's the big elephant in the room, the COVID precautions used are fantastic! It's clear to see that Escape Hunt is taking the safety of their guests and employees very seriously, which is great to see. And now to the experience itself. We got ourselves booked into Our Finest Hour. This was my second go at an escape room and my wife's first. Our Game Master was Phoebe, and from the moment we walked in she made us feel welcomed and excited to get started. And the way she was able to come across as HQ, with a flair for dramatics and 1940s pizzazz, definitely made the experience entertaining from start to finish! The room itself was a lot of fun, indeed a challenge in parts (especially when it came to the colour puzzle!). We thankfully managed to scrape out alive with a mere 1:26 left on the clock. It was also lovely that Phoebe was just as excited and thrilled that we had made it; it did feel like she was part of our team! All in all, it was a great evening from start to finish, and my wife and I agreed it was the most fun date night we've had ever because you're getting to use your brain. So I highly recommend Escape Hunt. Please give it a go! You'll have a blast and enjoy it a whole lot. We're already planning on tackling a few more rooms soon and maybe even getting our kids involved on the fun! Thanks, Escape Hunt. And huge thanks to Phoebe!

We took part in the Magic Portal outdoor adenture. We got in almost 10000 steps walking round Birmingham City centre with a pad and bag of items we would need for the quest. The quest was well done, having to wander to the next point on the map and then either answer riddles with or without pack items, looking at virtual items and interacting with a sleeping goblin. We did get quite a few funny looks when we were circling round virtual items on the floor in the middle of the street and walking round with the quest music but it was great fun and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Dived into Our Finest Hour last week, and had an excellent time; our host Luke explained how things worked for this one (much more puzzle based than others!) and I'm proud to say that we completed it with just under 10 minutes left, and made it onto the scoreboard! The props, layout and mix of puzzles was excellent, we managed to stump ourselves once or twice by trying to be too clever (damn those nazis!) but it was thoroughly enjoyable. I really can't say enough about how good the themes are at Escape Hunt (we've also done The Fourth Samurai there!) Chin up chaps, we'll bring the codes home!

Great select of rooms! Staff are great and brilliant at acting out the story for the room your are in. I am not sure if all rooms are like this but for the room I was in, we were led in to the room with our eyes closed while the story was explained which was definitely interesting. The waiting area is very nice and equipped with small games to help pass time when waiting. Electronic devices are locked in wooden crates outside rooms to prevent cheating. My visit here with some friends was definitely fun and I would certainly recommend it to anyone!

I've been to other escape rooms but this was my first visit to Escape Hunt. I went with three others to the Worlds Collide room (which is a Doctor Who theme). It was awesome. Having the game master able to see via CCTV and offer clues was really helpful (although he did say that the three clues he gave weren't many compared to other groups). Our game master was Robin, who was really friendly and helpful. I plan on doing that room again with my son, and I'd also love to try out some of the other rooms.

What a great experience! I had heard that escape rooms were fun but I never knew how much fun I would have. Went with my wife here today and did a room called 'The Fourth Samurai' and it was fantastic. So much so we went back in the afternoon to do the Dr Who room. We just completed the first room with a little assistance and didn't quite finish the 2nd one but even then I had a great time. Both staff who ran our rooms, Robin and Ford were both fantastic! Played the Worlds Collide room, was quite inventive and interesting in its puzzles. The room had no combination locks (which was a good change of pace) and relied a lot on arranging objects in specific locations rather trying to figure out number combinations. The Worlds Collide room was well decorated, a combination of staff input and prerecorded materials helped build a sense of immersion in the world in which the room was themed after. Very impressed, very satisfied with the experience. Would do another escape room there.

What a superb evening we had, some first timers and some who had had 1 or 2 other escape rooms. Firstly, parking is just around the corner at Londonderry or High Street Birmingham. Londonderry is a bit cheaper per hour and 24hrs. No spoilers for the rooms themselves but we were a party of 16, 3 rooms and with two scenarios. The place is well decorated, unlike the first place I went to which is a run down property that the landlord is cashing in on. Drinks are available, soft and alcoholic, well decorated and for the competitive ones there are two rooms exactly the same so you can challenge each other, to see which team gets out first. Big shout out to Ford, our games master, he is great in character and gentle guidance when we were flummoxed. Great day/evening out. Will be back.

My friends and I were visiting Birmingham in August for a convention, and whilst we were killing time, we decided to do an escape room. We had 12 participants, so we had to be split into 2 groups, but I feel that made the overall experience more enjoyable, as we had a lot to talk about afterwards. When we arrived, we were greeted by game masters with sparkling personalities. My group, escaping "The Fourth Samurai" was lead by Shems, and it sounded like she was having immense fun guiding us to the room, and giving us exposition. A great storyteller, to say the least. Whilst I will not spoil anything about the puzzles in the room, I will say that they were all rather creative and fun to figure out (some a bit easier than others, but I feel like that gave us some breathing room between harder puzzles). The next time I come to Birmingham, I'll be sure to check out Escape Hunt again, and see if I can beat a different room, in a better time!

I surprised my wife for her birthday with going along to an escape rooms for the first time. I was a little worried as neither of us had done one before, I thought both of us would get stuck pretty quickly and with only two of us it would be too difficult but thought it would be a good laugh. I shouldn't have worried as we both had a fab time. We did the Fourth Samurai escape room with our games master being Layma. The room was excellent in details and clues but not too hard that you didn't have idea what to do next and not too easy that you could just walk through it without thinking. We were helped a little by our fab games-master Layma at the right points either when we asked or were so wrong it would have ruined our enjoyment if we had continued on this track. Would totally recommend and will most likely be returning to try out one of the other rooms on offer at a later date.

I have done a lot of escape rooms in my time, and this is near the top. We did the ww2 room and finished with 10 minutes to spare. It was very immersive and the clues were very good. Everyone there was friendly, but the dim lighting and dark pannelled furniture gave it a mysterious vibe. I liked this, because it fitted in with the theme and felt professional. We got to take pictures afterwards with a reasonable amount of props and signs, and got put on Facebook, meaning we have become internet famous. They also served nice drinks.

I booked the finest hour game and events room for a birthday, the game was enjoyed by all and the venue is very nice but i wouldn't book an event with them again because of the unfriendliness and unhelpfulness of staff, although we had booked the package a while in advance, there was no one person designated to help on the day, we kept having to grab staff members to ask them for everything, poor communication from staff meant things were disjointed and delayed on the day which was disappointing as we had spent the best part of £300 for what I felt was a second class service.They did the absolute minimum to ensure the event was organised. One lady in particular(don't know her name as she didn't introduce herself but was dressed as a pirate as it was halloween) was acting like everything was too much trouble for her- bad attitude with us but seemed very friendly with other customers which makes me question if people with personal prejudices should be in a customer service role? Had the party not been for 16 year olds I would have felt embarrassed for the lack of organisation by the team at escape hunt but as it was they didnt notice as they were enjoying each others company.
