Reviews of One Garden Brighton
H. M.
My fave place. Gardens are very peaceful, full of amazing flowers and inspirational planting schemes. It's an unbelievable transformation of this once dilapidated area. I've found some beautiful local artwork and some good value plants from the market and sampled many a delicious morsel from the kitchen! The people here are lovely and so helpful; they also make great coffee. I hope this place stays with us forever. It's Brighton's new gem 💎!

Visited for second time and how it has grown and improved! Even in this weather, some lovely herbaceous borders with interesting planting. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, willing to stop, discuss and advise.
The marketplace is well stocked, some things not seen elsewhere. The range of own produce is good and quality.
Catering was busy, good range of veggie, vegan options and own kitchens produce - a real home made feel.
Toilets spotless, maybe need more on busy day. My partner was allowed to use the students' facility when rest were busy
Definitely will be back and highly recommend

For a garden its actually not too bad. Dog friendly and nice enough area to walk around. What let's it down is there is not really any information regarding what is being grown or what's occurring. Plenty of signs advertising to buy the plant at the shop on site, but nothing states what each plant is..
The coffer shop on site is a little on the steep side so was easier to walk to main Stanmer village coffee shop
P. S.
Booked a table for my mum’s birthday, first time we’ve been to the restaurant but well aware how lovely the gardens and coffee shop is so knew it was going to be a nice day out.
Expectations well and truly met!
New Summer Menu has just been launched and what a cracker it is, super fresh, something for everyone, packed full of flavour and tasty as you like!
Also service wise, shout out to the fabulous Esther. She’s an absolute credit to the team; couldn’t have been lovely if she tried.
Nothing was too much, super friendly, funny.. definitely hang on to her!

Lovely gardens with a wide variety of flowers shrubs etc. Also has a shop with a variety of local products including cheeses gin soft drinks wine and lots more and a Café We went to the Park to do yoga and forest bathing activity and came across the garden as we got there early. Also a beautiful old church and small village at the other end of the park. Decided to come back and have a look at one garden before going home. Lovely park and garden easily spend the day there weather permitting

Brilliant .. Plumpton has done a wonderful job.
Today was beautiful and we went for lunch.
Parking plentiful but you have to use Paybyphone to pay for it.
TIP. download app before you go... code for location is 805806..you will be it's easy but you may need patience. Single issues.
Lots of areas to walk the walled garden is amazing. Coffee places and a lovely restaurant area. Home grown produce reasonable price. good service.
I had Farmhouse Brioche bun
My sister had Tomato Bruschetta. Both very nice and plentiful..
Recommend booking table if a large party or special occasion.
Shop very interesting with local produce. Food item..condiments. sauces..beers.. soft drinks . Plumptons wine and champagne. Recommend it..The beauty of it is it's an ever changing picture.. Cant wait to go again.

Great place to relax, have a coffee and wonder through the grounds.
B. B.
Really lovely setting, the gardens and nursery are great as you can see what plants look like in full bloom before you buy them. Had breakfast in the One Kitchen which was nice, however a vege breakfast option would be good, as it is all just meat for the main breakfast. Would also be good if you can let your staff accept tips when people are paying by card. The service was great, however it's sad that you're not able to reward the team for that, especially with the cost of living being what it is.
F. B.
Beautifully kept garden with shop (sells plants too), café and restaurant. Large variety of shrubs and ornamental plants. Well worth a visit
W. V.
Lovely gardens to walk around in. The shop and cafe were also very nice. Plenty of plant based options.
My gripe is lack of proper seating in the gardens. All they have is benches with no backs and you cannot sit for long. I want wanted to sit and eat and drink my purchases in the garden and smell the flowers but a bench with no back is so uncomfortable.
A. W.
I have been here for food three times now. The menu changes seasonally and the food is beautiful! This time I had brought my Grandmother who is extremely fussy, the staff went out of their way to make her a ham sandwich as she said she couldn't eat anything else! The staff are lovely and the environment is stunning
A. J.
Stanmer Estate with a complete new feel and look. Interesting museum and better parking facilities. One garden is well worth a visit, smart restaurant and good wheelchair accessibility.
J. C.
Clean and delightful. Interesting shop, beautiful flowers. Good competition for and contrasting style with the equally excellent Stanmer Tea Rooms. And then there's posh Stanmer House and the kiosk when you come in to the park.
L. W.
This site is very interesting, it is part of Stanmer park in north Brighton. There are two cafes
and a shop available with gardening items. Car parking is available. There is an enclosed area which is for Students from Plumpton college. A few yards along the road is the entrance to Sussex University.
A very interesting area.
P. F.
A lovely lunch at One Garden. Really tasty food with plenty of seasonal vegan and veggie options as well as meat & fish. Attentive and friendly service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, thank you!
S. P.
What a fabulous way to take a break during your weekend dog walk. Lovely coffee in a calm and relaxed garden with plenty of fabulous dog lovers to hang out with
S. I. B. S. S.
Lovely oasis of calm and beauty close to Brighton and Lewes. Great cafe and restaurant, stylish buildings and gardens, inspiring plants. Good walks in the area.
N. K.
An extremely friendly waitress who dealt with everyone with a smile was let down by the portion size which lacked generosity and was a little dry. An extra few beans, sauce and a full slice of toast would have done the trick. The cappuccino was spot on - such a shame you can no longer sit in the restaurant (even during quiet times) to enjoy a cappuccino and slice of cake out of a ceramic mug. You are forced to the cafe with the only option of a takeaway cup which are still not widely recycled or have a large carbon footprint to do so.

We visited one garden thos morning and actually enjoyed walking round the garden. Free parking for blue badge holders is great too. But we went to the resturant to order lunch and we were shown to a table outside - about 2 seconds later as soon as we were given the menus the girl came back to take oyr orders, we had to ask for more time as we'd barely had chance too look. Once we did look we noticed the options were weird on offer, other than a burger i wouldn't eat anything else on that menu and i'm not that fussy at all - it was an odd combo of food you are offering in some cases! We then waited 10mins after making up our minds what we'd like to eat and no one bothered to come back to take our order - so we judt got up and left. Your staff looked surprised but honestly if you don't want to take the order then the customer will just go elsewhere - simple as that. Its so rude to just ignore waiting customers - not professional at all. We did have a drink if your one garden cafe, but when my dad went to order in the shop the staff were so rude to him he very so nearly walked out of there too. I have to say we had a lovely lunch in a pub on the way home nearby who were very very happy to take our business. Please train your staff in how to give good customer service, then hopefully customers like us won't walk out!
B. L.
Nice gardens, meals a bit pricy for what you get but nice though, not much in the chose of alcohol but that was due to them closing for the winter, but that's where the toilets are as the usual ones are shut, guess people will have to go behind a tree and hope no-one is watching.
m. W.
Went for my first meal on bank holiday Monday with my husband after walking our dogs. I wasn't overly excited about the menu and reluctantly went for the burger. When we arrived I asked for a small dog bowl and some water for myself and aperol spritz and a beer for my husband. It was reasonably busy with a few empty tables. The water and drinks seemed like they weren't coming any time soon. After 10 minutes I had to ask again for water for the dogs. They had bowls but they were not replenished and dirty. I asked again for the water and the young man apologised and went off to get it. Finally the drinks came and we ordered the burgers. My Aperol spritz was very average, definitely heavy on the soda water and at £9.50 a glass was poor. The food came 20 minutes later and the fries were very hot and fresh and unfortunately the burger was luke warm. Tasty but not good enough. Fyi we had booked our table the day before. At £44.90 you'll not see us again for food I'm afraid. Shame as I love the flower gardens. And the area is beautiful. But it's just too expensive for what it is.
M. F.
A beautifully tranquil place to visit, which bursts into colour each Spring. Also has an indoor shop that sells some excellent (and delicious!) foods, as well as luxury items e.g chocolates, candles etc.
A. K.
Fabulous peaceful place to just wander around enjoying the many plants they have here . There are also toilets and 2 lovely cafes to enjoy a drink and something to eat .
M. W.
There's a little elves trail and it was wonderful! Took my toddler there for her first trail to get into the festive spirit and she absolutely loved it!
S. W. (.
What an excellent use of what might otherwise ended up a ruined walled garden.
Great produce and imaginative use of the surroundings, made even more worthwhile as it being part of the Plumpton Agricultural college.
C. M.
Lovely breakfast.Small note - Web page said 0930 opening and we booked a table but when we arrived we were told 1000.We were sat down by the manager anyway after initially being told by another member of staff that we couldn't have booked. All was well, however perhaps One Garden could check web site details.
O. E.
Amazing place, to eat, to see, to be and feel great.
Quiet, you feel the calm of nature and you can taste it at their restaurant, which does vegan too
A. H.
Nice place to visit in the woods of Stanmer Park, a nice cafe and garden centre with public facilities. Highly recommended
c.
Great place to visit with family and friends. Lots to see and do with a great cafe/restaurant. Highly recommended!
J. L.
Great place for a wander round
Dogs welcome so nice to have them with you
Restaurant good but a little expensive
Food good staff polite
C. W.
Lovely visit to One Garden on a sunny Sunday ☀️😎 Had a beer from their homemade pallet bar which is stuffed full of herb plants from the garden (the bar, not the beer). Great if you want to add it to your Pimms 🍹 Also had my first toffee apple ice cream which was very tasty 😋
C. P.
A lovely garden and cafe with a selection of baked goods, fresh vegetables, plant store and farmers market feel.
I’d recommend visiting with Stanmer walks, cafes and shops too - as the One Garden is smaller than I expected (not a bad thing!)
Would recommend to anyone and was a lovely way to spend the morning.
J. B.
Cycled up here. It was beautiful. Loved looking at all the different flowers and reading up on all the facts.
D. B.
just gorgeous shame that we didn't bring a picnic as the cafe was very busy
S. F. K.
There’s so beautiful garden and a college
W. M.
Great place to visit, walks are good, dog friendly and fair disabled access.
N.
Lovely food, great setting. Only complaint would be that the staff aren’t very helpful… we had to ask to order and weren’t told of the children’s menu etc.
L. P.
Lovely garden with restaurant a little market (food and plants) public toilets and a few different courses as part of Plumpton collage that are situated there (Agriculture, wine and a few others) Sometimes the garden puts on events (Jubilee weekend back in June) as one to mention as it was really good.
B.
Awesome! Very beautiful and food&drinks so delicious! Thankyou!
P. B.
This is such a lush revamp. The staff are all lovely and approachable, I think the organisation always has a friendly feel. So pretty now, so much to see and so much to do.
A. A. D. S.
Fantastic day out for the whole family; Park, woods, gardens, restaurant and cafe, everything absolutely phenomenal and brilliant gluten free options too
T. W.
Lovely gardens and plants. Parking is a reasonable price. Not much choice for vegans at the cafe.
I.
A nice garden to go to with a cafe in Stanmer Park. I would recommend it if you ever visit the park. 👍👍👍👍👍
S. B.
Very nice café although have to book as currently only serving meals outside. Friendly staff, nice setting and good range of plants with small farm shop
S. W.
Fab grounds food different and exciting tasteful, yummy. Staff very congenial, friendly. Can't wait to go back.
V. D.
What a great place to walk, browse and have a coffee with the best jam doughnuts in Brighton.
E. P.
Beautiful setting for a wedding reception. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was fabulous.
D. Q.
Good food, small portions. Terrible service, staff ranged from indifferent at best to aggressive at worst. Won't be back
T. G. (.
A great improvement, if perhaps a bit too trendy. Stunning arrangements and stanmer is a jewel in Brighton's crown
U. G.
We had a lovely run around Stanmer this morning followed by a bit of brunch and coffee. Great service and enjoyed the food too.
D. T.
Really good garden centre, with park like planting, food shop, cafe and restaurant. Car parking at rear. Ideal for all the family. Must visit in conjunction with the rest of Stanmer village, manor house cafe and museum that has stall holder craft products. Well done to B&HC and Plumpton College for delivering this.
M. B.
Very nice area with 2 places to eat n drink.
M. L.
Lovely place, well worth a visit. Good cafe, well priced,.nice clean facilities.
M. W. P.
A great place to walk. I am unwell at the moment, so only 2 miles for me this visit, but as my strength returns, there are far bigger walks to be had. In fields and woodland. I certainly intend to explore some more.
There are coffee shops and I think a restaurant, plus a decent garden centre and plenty of parking. This is charged, but the amounts are perfectly reasonable.
J. G.
Gardens are stunning. Food is ok and coffee is ok . Staff are friendly
G. S.
Fantastic walled garden, decent coffee and miles of beautiful woodland walks.
L.
Fantastic garden and fresh produce hidden away on the outskirts of Brighton deffo worth a visit
J. W.
Beautiful gardens, thoughtfully planted. Easy to walk around with lovely coffee shop and deli.
L. T.
Fabulous! The tearoom was lovely. Staff extremely pleasant. The gardens are really beautiful.
T. M.
Great day out, took an elderly relative and she had a lovely time as it is flat for walking, also enjoyed the café.
L. M.
Really lovely shop for nice food and plants. The cakes looked amazing although I refrained! Nice outdoor area to eat in or carry to the grassy area.
I will be back for some cake another day.
W. H.
Service was spectacular. We were a lot but they coped with good humour and smiles. Thanks
E. R.
I'd not been to Stanmer Park since before Covid and couldn't actually believe how One Garden seemed to have sprung from nowhere! The garden itself is absolutely beautiful and my visit being September, the late summer plants were vibrant. The cafe is an added bonus as the setting is fabulous and the food extremely good, albeit not cheap. The portion sizes were generous though and the staff exceptional. It felt like a day out to a National Trust place but without the entrance fee. I'll be back soon!
A. B.
A tranquil oasis of greenery on the edge of town. The food at the cafe here has always been above average but the menu has taken a big step up recently.
O. R.
What a brilliant project! The design is wonderful and the cafe and plant sales looked excellent. We arrived a bit too late to get the full benefit of the place, but we will be back.
H. W.
Could have more interesting gardens although we enjoyed what we experienced
E. B.
First visit loved it food was good. Well knowledge staff defo worth a visit can book a table had 🦆salad, sliced apple n lot more very tasty don't know how to add picture
L. B.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful gardens to walk around. Nursery to explore and foodhall
N. B. (.
Lovely place. Coffee in the shop seems a bit costly.
M. D.
Very nice venue, however such a shame about car park whilst putting on event. Would be amazing if could arrange bigger area and cater for gluten free kids
A. B.
Loved this place.
2 places to eat, cute little gift shop.
Some amazing plants, flowers. Loved the vibe.
I wouldn’t spend all day here but so close to the fields for a lovely walk.
Can’t wait to re visit next summer when things have grown and bloomed!
A. P.
Absolutely stunning gardens and fantastic restaurant a beautiful hidden gem we worth a visit
J. W.
A great idea and well thought and layed out. Still very new though so will be even better when the gardens mature for a while. The sensibly priced eatery has a good choice of food and we were impressed. Beware parking has to be paid for!
J. L.
Took my eight month old Beddlington Whippet to the Plumpton College dog groomers at One Garden and couldn't have been happier! Amazing staff, great result and reasonable price
C. B.
Lovely place to visit with a nice place to sit.
Great cakes too.
M. P.
Hidden treasure of a garden. Not a lot to see in winter but will go back in spring. Nicely layer our walled garden and tea room.
It is free to enter bur you have to pay for parking.
S. P.
Cafe, excellent garden and Garden centre. Beautiful planting and lovely set up in the middle of the best parkland in Brighton.
It should be a lot busier than it is. But I'm not complaining 🤗
M. C.
Really nice spot in Stammer Park, operated by Plumpton College. They had renovated and derelict walled garden into a fantastic space with a cafe, local produce and plant shop and a lovely lawned area to hang about on.
R. A.
An amazing restoration to this lovely historic walled garden. A wealth of plants and flowers. So peaceful and relaxing to wander around, grab a coffee and soak up the sun. So many bees enjoying the fruits of an immense amount of work to bring this area to life again.
R. G.
Beautiful plantings in the borders, very professional.
Good place for lunch; the staff, all young, very enthusiastic, very helpful. Good to see that lively but respectful attitude. One even chased us down the road to give us a water bottle we'd left behind. What more can one ask? Will go back.
A. T.
Fabulous ! So well looked after and the cafes are excellent- a great place to spend a while😀😀
A. T.
It's so beautiful. I can't believe it was created so quickly with so few people during lockdown. Incredible!
C. L.
Beautiful place. Food fab. Staff more than helpful.
J. S.
Have visited here a few times and had always had an excellent experience, unfortunately today was not so positive. One of the draws of the restaurant for me has been their selection of vegan options. Today there was just one main, which had run out (it was only about 1:15) so I was left with just soup. We ordered and sat outside and they said they'd bring the coffee out. After about 15 mins I went in to ask where it was to be told it was lined up to be made. It did then come quite quickly. In the meantime it started to rain, so we asked they could pull across the outside canopy. We were told it would automatically come across when it sensed it was wet enough. In the meantime we waited further for our food, getting wet but as we had paid we couldn't walk away and inside was full. Our food arrived eventually, we had then been there 40 mins. The food was nice but the whole experience wasn't a positive one and we really do hope it was a one off.
A. S.
If you're in Stanmer Park this place is certainly worth a visit although check times for opening, food service etc. Would recommend booking. The food choice is reasonably limited but everything served is delicious. Option to sit indoors or outdoors with lovely views of the walled garden. They even do dog ice cream for your 4-legged friends which went down very well with our cocker spaniel.
K. M.
Great garden, red roaster coffee and a very nice lunch ch in the restaurant. Reasonable parking as well
M. R.
Such a great place to spend Easter with kids. Delicious veggie food available. Lots of space to run about and toilets clean.
Z. T.
It was amazing. Took some guys I work with done there and they absolutely love it.
P. J.
A new and peaceful garden opened near Stanmer park. It's great for walks, general relaxation and also food and shopping for plants and produce. There are some very nice walkways with a little fountain. A car park is nearby or its accessible by bus, also access to very clean toilets.
Inside you will be able to walk around the outside gardens sitting on the grass and viewing all the various types of plants and seeing which ones are available to purchase for yourself in the shop nearby. The shop has plenty of plants and also a local market where you can buy high quality food produce.
The only drawback to this is how new it is, therefore the plants and flowers have not that much time to grow, but you can see in a few months or next year it will be full of life and colour.
S. H.
Gorgeous gardens and Cafe, welcoming and warm staff. Some mind blowingly beautiful flowers. Great open spaces for kids and lots of seating options for all generations. Enjoy!
J. N.
Really lovely place to spend an hour or so on a weekend.
J. F.
Beautiful surrounding and environment. Food is very good albeit not cheap. The only issue, it started to rain and we were outside and I asked for th awning to be extended. Unfortunately, they have a sensor that makes them go retract when it rains! Bit of a design fault if you cannot overide it! Shame.
M. X.
Seems to have gone downhill since my last visit. Very average pub style food is now what they offer. At quite expensive prices. My £15 burger tastes like a Wetherspoons offering.
P. F.
Beautiful walled garden drinks & food available in a great setting.
O. E.
A brilliant day out! The gardens were amazing and cleverly themed, had a fantastic lunch at the One Kitchen which was very fairly priced and hosted helpful and welcoming staff. Consider this a hidden paradise in Brighton.
P. G.
Worth a visit if you are in Stanmer Park. Coffee from cafe is OK.
K. P.
A great little coffee stop but………why on earth close at 3 o’clock (last orders 2.30) when there are literally 10s of people walking around wanting refreshments???!!
Absolutely ridiculous but unfortunately so typically English.
You have a facility but you don’t capitalise on making a return and offering a service to the public.
T. T.
Very nice flowery garden and little plant nursery. Nice as part of the so many things to do at Stanmer. Beans on Toast for £10 though… so maybe eat before you come.
C. S.
A wonderful addition to Stanmmer Park. Bright, modern cafe with seating in and outside. Perfect for a hot chocolate and cake while looking out on the lovely gardens. The staff are super friendly too!!
D. B.
Beautiful setting on the edge of stanmer park with a wonderful shop full of amazing foods from sussex producers. So glad I could buy some of the best sausages and bacon I've ever tasted at their kitchen site right next door in the market, dry cured and free range # Amazing !
G. L.
Lovely gardens. Nice place to have lunch.
C. M.
This place is a fantastic addition to Brighton's attractions and makes a visit to Stanmer Park all the more worthwhile. Beautiful setting to while away an afternoon with great food and local produce. The plant nursery is also excellent. We visited on the bank holiday weekend when they had love music and some popup stalls as well, an even better time to visit and hopefully they organise that more frequently 👌
K. F.
Fantastic place. If you haven't been, you are really missing out. Huge choice of plants and shrubs. Local produce and great selection of gifts.
C. E.
Beautiful garden with walks all around. Parking is a bit pricey but worth it for the adventure.
Food is AMAZING. I was very impressed, it was defienaltly more than cafe food.
S. S.
Went to the one garden restaurant amazing tasty food .Great staff friendly its the place to be.
J. W.
Nice new addition to the local Brighton area. Not massive in geographical size but lovely f9r a stroll and a tea or coffee.
Some areas are closed either as not ready or due to vandalism, signs could do with reflecting this earlier in the walk.
Good plant nursery with produce from plumpton college.
R. d. P.
Very beautiful and interesting large Walled gardens. Fresh food market and delicatessen. Good restaurant serving excellent well priced food with great cakes. Fascinating history. Well worth more than one visit.
A. D.
Nicely laid out newly planted garden. Themed beds and borders (e.g. shade plants in one, fruit bushes in another). Excellent coffee in the cafe! Good selection of quality plants for sale.
a. G.
One of the best places to spend some good time
K. S.
Great place for an art fair and lovely garden centre.
R. I.
The restaurant was very clean and tidy although the menu was very limited. The service good and quality of food excellent. We have been there before and will do so again in the future. Car parking was good.
K. H.
Beautiful place to wonder around the walled garden, a bite to eat in the restaurant and a browse in the produce shop. Loved it.
J.
Calm relaxing atmosphere. Loads of fruit trees and plants on display. There's a cafe which looks like it'll be lovely when restrictions permit it to open...
When we visited there was a Thai food van selling fresh Thai food too!
D. B.
This was a great place to visit. The plants are fantastic and it has a really good cafe and deli. The courgette, baji salad was brilliant, very tasty and filling!
P. S.
Such a nice space to be, last time I was here there was nothing going on at all, great food and drinks, the artists museum nearby is definitely worth a look too.
One of the better green areas in Brighton.
R. J. M.
Very good cafe, coffee a bit pricey
O. I.
Has turned Stanmer Park into a magnet for young families, which has to be a good thing. Good coffee, nice modern dining room, although the food varies in quality.
S. L.
Very pleasant, enjoyable, lovely grounds
e. a.
These gardens at STANMER PARK have been updated and redesigned over the last 2 years, the cafe is excellent for a quick snack with shaded out side tables, very helpful if the weather is sunny as it was when I was there .
There is also a restaurant with a good lunchtime menu, booking is advised . The gardens with the large range of flowers and shrubs are extensive with new polly tunnels that add to those interested in horticulture. Stammer park covers a very lage area ...if you like walking and exploring its for you ! Ps. Its also dog friendly. Edo
z. r.
WOW WOW WOW the scones Are amazing. I Have just come after Eco therapie for a Hot chocolate and the lady gave me a lavender scone to try. It was amazing. The staff are very friendly and polite . I will be back next week. p.s The garden is beautiful 😍
c.
Lovely gardens and fab coffee.
R. J.
Wonderful addition to Stanmer park. A garden created around where the old councils park dept green houses used to sit. This is now run as a satellite of Plumpton College as both classrooms and practical base for students and a peaceful garden with a wonderful cafe and shop. The shop as well as selling a variety of gourmet treats also sells a large selection of outdoor plants grown by the horticultural students of Plumpton College.
K. B.
It a lovely place to eat with beautiful surroundings
s. p.
It's going to be a delightful spot when it's filled out a bit. We visited in April and it was very nice. Enjoyed lunch sitting on the lawn (no inside seating due to Covid regs) which was excellent, although they could maybe do with reviewing how orders are placed. Still its early days and they are getting to grips with it. I would recommend the Lamb Pitta Meze, go for a long walk and then a nice cup of tea in Stanmer House. Oh and download the parking app rather than try and use the machines, it's paybyphone.
K. C.
Very new has great potential once it's better known. I have mentioned to many friends who are not aware it's there. Prices for coffee etc. are good. They need to advertise particularly when dining in is allowed.
A. D.
We love One Garden Cafe at Stanmer , such a beautiful space , lots of outdoor seating, worth booking if you want a table indoors , dog friendly, super helpful staff and yummy food and drink .
Well done Plumpton Collage students and staff for all their hard work .
G. B.
The gardens are part of Plumpton college and have been laid out very nicely. Nice toilets and places to get a coffee and food
What I did find very very disappointing was dogs welcome but kept on short leads? No facilities for the dogs to get a drink
There are amble places for dogs to have a drink but I asked several dog owners and they didn’t know where they were and in the places for humans to get a drink and something to eat no place for a dog to have a drink
I can only think that plunpton college and Brighton council are anti dogs !!!?
M. K.
Pleasant plant nursery which I believe is attached to Plumpton college in some way and possibly as a consequence the plants are good value. The little farm shop has a small, well chosen range and the cafe is good. Gardens themselves are a bit of suntrap and well maintained. I think a sound way to bookend a day at Stanmer rather than a destination itself.
A. E.
@OneKitchen staff were so kind and sensitive to food intolerances/issues of our group. I can't thank them enough and highly rate their approach. Kindness shining through in their first few days of service was very appreciated 😌and the food was delicious too! Proper job on the cream tea 💚
F. W.
Absolutely love it here.
Food in the market is rustic, tasty and reasonably priced.
I've visited again as I enjoyed it so much.
The garden is beautiful

This place is fabulous and fascinating. Beautiful plants in the setting of a traditional and genuinely old walled garden. Nice cafe and restaurant. A beautiful place to be.
P. C.
Totally revamped Garden Centre with café and ornamental gardens. Very enjoyable visit. The Car Parking has to be paid for which may come as a shock to some! £1.50 an hour.
M. W.
An interesting find in a beautiful setting. Yet to inspect the menu or the shop, but there's plenty of promise & potential. Looking forward to my next visit.
P. T.

Very nice surroundings, cafe has good range including veggie and vegan, prices slightly high. The shop as you might expect for this kind of venue has some silly prices.

R. B.
Found this hidden treasure yesterday took husband today, families having fun being together don't really want to recommend to much so it doesn't become spoilt and over growded but if you do stumble across it I'm sure it will soon become one of your favourite place's to visit ( car parking charges are realistic )
A.

One Gardens gardens are small but lovely. They always have something seasonal on. There's a shop /small cafe - busy and not much food variety and more upmarket café - more choice but a moody unfriendly manager /worker..
I like to visit the Gardens and go for walks in the surrounding forest area.
