To date, and the two doctors I have dealt with, they have been exceptional. Their level of detail to understanding of the situation and treatment required to try and assist you in the right direction of recovery is great. The receptionist/s also are really good, they call you up to inform you of any changes, reminder of appointments. Highly recommended.

Have been coming here for a few months now for some knee issues and have been seeing Annette. She has always been very accommodating and listens to the problems and seeks to assist in resolving. Phoned The Medical as my husband had a back problem. He was given an immediate appointment with Luis, one of the Chiropractors. My husband found him to be extremely friendly and professional, also very knowledgeable about the treatment required for the problem. After several sessions (far fewer than previous other places) the problem was resolved. Booked myself in straight after a calf injury after google searching on my laptop. Found the service very easy too book and professional on arrival. I received high quality and professional advice and enjoyed the online recovery programme from my physio Richard. Always felt that myself as the patient came first and my recovery. I never felt pressured to book countless physio sessions in blocks but tailored the approach and took things step by step with how I got on. Would recommend to friends, colleagues or family in future.

I went to see Annette following a pregnancy that left me very weak and achy. She listened to what was wrong and we worked out an excersise and stretch plan that has really made a difference. She knew how to tweak them so I felt comfortable but still did them right. The service from the reception staff was also warm and friendly at all times. I’d definitely recommend to anyone!

My first experience of any sort of back related problems and after seeing Luis at the medical he has after the first couple of visits managed to hit on all the effected areas and treat to give me a comfortable working life again. All very pleasant people and make you feel very welcome and comfortable every visit. Highly recommend by myself.

I have been attending the medical clinic at Downend for about 3 years. I have seen different Chiropractors and sometimes Psyio's for sports related injuries. It turns out, the best method for me is a maintenance session with Dr Luis Tobenas (Chiropractor) about once every 5-6 weeks. They are all very well trained and have excellent bedside manner. They will treat the whole neck/back in one session with numerous methods including Acupuncture, massage and manipulation. There is no hard sell or bait and switch tactics, very good team, very honest and friendly. I would highly recommend.

Very good physiotherapist! My wife visited this clinic to get her achillis and feet strengthened. After a few sessions, she found very good improvement. She also felt that her physiotherapist Richard was very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting way forward. Definitely recommend this clinic

A good place for either a physio, massage or chiropractic treatment. Vouchers offered, and easy to get to, although parking can be very difficult to find at busy times. A negative is that they do have an overly high turnover of staff, and the costs could be better value for money.

This was my first time visiting the Medical or a chiropractor, I was seeing Luis Tobenas for a lower back pain, 3 visits later my back was at it's best that I totally forgot I had any pain there. Had major sciatica issues, three treatments later Louis had me sorted. I could not even put socks on without a major issue.Could not get in and out of a Vehicles.He had me back to normal with acupuncture and massaging sessions.Highly recommended.

I'm currently being treated for Plantar fasciitis by Luis. Each treatment; massage, manipulation and acupuncture, has improved the flexibility in my foot and has steadily reduced the pain I'm experiencing in my heel. Despite Luis saying Plantar fasciitis is hard to treat, it is getting better! So a huge thank YOU! I've also learnt that doing as I'm told; icing my foot twice a day and using the stretching exercises Luis showed me, helps the healing process too.

I‘d like to highly recommend THE Medical. Since December 2016 Dr Danielle Canty has been treating my chronic neck and shoulder pain. This was as a result of permanent injuries from a road accident, which had worsened dramatically as a result of osteoarthritis developing. Following initial assessment, THE arranged for an MRI scan which took place within a week after which a treatment plan was put in place straight away. The initial twice weekly sessions really helped with the pain straight away and I was soon able to work and sleep much better. Before this I was completely reliant on very strong painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs to be able to barely function. I was at the stage where I could no longer exercise because of the pain and feared that I would have to give up work. Now, just six months later, I am down to a monthly maintenance session and use THE’s recommended exercises and pain relief regime in between, knowing that I can always book an extra treatment session without having to wait if I need to. The reason I chose THE Medical is because they are CQC approved and come highly recommended, as well as being located conveniently to where I live. My previous NHS treatment relied on medication, steroid injections and a very long wait for surgery which in itself would have reduced my mobility and quality of life. Danielle has helped me with a range of treatment, including chiropractic and acupuncture. I am amazed at how a more conservative treatment approach has produced such rapid results. My fitness and energy levels are improving more and more by the month and my career and overall quality of life are back where I want them to be as well.

Swapped from another local chiropractor as I felt it was a case of come in, crack back, book the next appointment so my problems didn't go away. At The Medical there is more focus on what is causing the problem and resolving it so you actually get better. Which will ultimately be a better value treatment course.
