I needed someone to diagnose a fault with my boiler losing pressure all the time. The engineer arrived promptly and quickly identified the fault, talking me through the issue and why it was occurring by showing me the faults. This gave me confidence that i was only paying for parts i needed and nothing more. He gave a clear breakdown of the parts needed and arranged to return and fit them.
The engineer was polite at all times, meticulous in his work and left the place he had been working clean and tidy before leaving.
I will be using them again to service the boiler and wouldn't hesitate to contact them should i have an issue in the future. I would recommend to anyone who wants to deal with a company and engineers they can trust.

Boiler service on behalf of British gas conducted by Liam. Called ahead to advise on arrival time. On arrival he wore his face covering, not a legal requirement anymore but I respect him for that as its still guidance. He popped on his shoe covering too. Told me everything he was doing and gave a comprehensive debrief when finished. Liam was very polite and well mannered, he also put up with being presented with a ball from my dog frequently to which Liam obliged !!. Nothing negative to warrant a drop in 5 star rating. Boiler service carried out on behalf of British gas.
The engineer posted a service time in the morning which was kept despite British gas advising us it had been postponed again. A quick call to the engineer reassured us all was still ok. He was very thorough, tidied everything on completion and advised us clearly of system status. He also advised us of possible preventative measures to ensure system stayed ok. Polite and knowledgeable.
Just wish British gas themselves could get their house in order. Well done O'Brien's.

New Boiler Fitted.
Great service - Jack and his apprentice Aidan communicated in advance of the booking and throughout the day kept me up to date, arrived on time and worked diligently, they were courteous, cleaned up after themselves and completed the job to a high satisfaction.
I was also pleased with the planning i.e. Parts arriving the day before, cadence on site looking checking the gas, Electrician on hand when required and all this was done in a day.
Would highly recommend S.O’Brien to a family or friend

My heating stopped working on Sunday, i called S O'Brien's who confirmed they would get somebody out to me on the following day. They turned up on Monday morning, fixed my heating and hot water and got my boiler working again. My boiler is around 15 years old, and has been serviced annually by British Gas via one of their Service Plans, each year the engineer taking just over an hour to complete the job. This year BG outsourced my service to S O'Brien Heating Solutions and the work took just over 15 minutes. I'm awarding 3 stars as the engineer from S O'B was great at communicating why he was late, he was polite and appeared very efficient, but I am unsure as to how he managed to do the work in around a quarter the time which British Gas usually take, hence just 3 stars.

A very trustworthy, family run business. Our boiler had broken down in the midst of freezing temperatures and heavy snow. As a family of five and at home with three children during lockdown restrictions we were worried we wouldn’t be able to get an engineer to assess the issue let alone fix the problem but we couldn’t be happier with the service we received from S O’Briens team. An engineer arrived quickly and we were instantly put at ease as he knew what the problem was straight away. He was friendly, approachable and very professional. He made an appointment for as soon as possible and had the part fitted by the next day by Jack who again was very professional and reassuring. We can’t thank the team enough and will be recommending them to friends and family.

Central heating service on behalf of British Gas, booked for between 12 and 6pm, Phone call from Tim at 7.45am asking if he could come sooner, he arrived by 8.05am. Polite, respectful, wearing a mask and opened a window. Quick and efficient service. Didn’t try to sell me a new boiler, didn’t tell me that parts for my boiler are obsolete and didn’t give me the hard sell on Hive, unlike BG. Also checked my flu which BG always refuse to do as it means opening the loft hatch and getting ladders. Brilliant service, thanks

We contacted S OBrian to fit us a RDC box for our house as we didn't trust other people local to us .Previously we had an electrical " trip out "and had no lights for 2 days . Legal and general sorted it by sending S o Brian who fixed the problem within a few hours and turned the lights on .Following this excellent work we decided to have them fit a new metal RDC box.Rob attended an fitted the new box in good time making the house safe and sound ,Tied all the ends and fitted the box with little problem .i would definitely recommend this company and the price of £600 for a professional and thorough job well done .im just waiting for our certificates[yes you get them as well] thanks S Obrian and ROB .
