H. M.Thorne summer festival was so much fun with exciting new people. Art therapy went a long way and the women loved the henna art.

a. G.Lovely small park. Good for taking the Dog out. Nice cafe there to and maureen and her staff ate great and friendly. . My husband Gary and Myself helped with putting flowers in the park with friends of Thorne memorial park. We Love this park and hope people love the flowers etc.

D. R.The memorial railway is really good, miniature steam and diesel engines with carriages for children and adults to have a ride on. Makes for a great day out for all the family.
The park itself, is in dire need of help!!!!
The pathways are extremely uneven making it difficult to get round with prams and wheelchairs.
Litter is thrown everywhere, broken glass and split cans left in the children's play area, and bins (where provided) are not routinely emptied...

R. C.Unfortunately the railway isn't open at the moment . The little cafe is open on reduced hours I think. The pond could do with regular cleaning and aerating. It could be a really nice place with some t.l.c. and tidying up. People feed the ducks to much bread which gets left and fouls the water. It's much better to feed them proper bird food. The park does suffer from mindless vandelism as well. We still enjoy a walk round it tho.
D. A.Very clean, many ducks and other wildlife to see on the lake. Very good for kids to play including good equipment for rides. Good cafe with hot food and drinks. Enjoyable especially for younger children.
k. r.Not a great deal to do here, but the kids love to feed the ducks. A very small play area for kids upto about 7yrs of age. It gets very muddy if its rained but my kids always seem to enjoy coming so hence the five stars. Theres a small cafe in the grounds

The variety of shows to watch was lovely.
The young ladies from the dance group were really professional, all in time the enthusiasm was uplifting.
The singers were really enjoyable. The dog show was good 😊
The cowboys were entertaining.
Good selection of fun fair rides. Cant comment on the prices as none were ridden.
Burgers were lovely ( hubby had one). Plenty to eat / drink.
Good selection of tombola stands, items to purchase. Really enjoyed my time there
J. H.A nice park with a lake,bandstand,childrens play area and a miniture railway. It has paths all around making it a pleasant place to walk your dog.
