Reviews of Alhambra Theatre
L. C.
Lovely Theatre, love the historic building and bits of historic items that are still in place around the theatre. But fear not is a well equipped and great views from pretty much all seats. A wonderful venue in Fife for live stage shows. Very excited to get back to live shows.
T. T.
Best Theatre in the town and near by areas want to relax and Comedy must visit for coming shows
C. B.
Great theatre, really good shows for a wide variety of tastes of top acts and lesser known upcoming artists. Seating is comfortable with good legroom. Plenty of parking nearby, with plenty of car parks and street parking available within easy walking distance. Staff are really helpful.
A. G.
Great classy venue. Good stage, most seating has a great view. Choose a show and go. The renovations during Covid were excellent improvements to access and sympathetic to the feel of the building
C. B.
Was a good night out. Disabled toilets were good.
Few minor issues person I was with was a wheelchair user despite telling them at box office no wheelchair seat offered but we made the most of it
2.50 for a tin of irn bru
3.50 for a small ice cream is a bit steep could use better spoons
51 quid for two tickets for a panto is a joke no discount for concessions.
All that in mind still had a great night
N. T.
What a fantastic show! Watched Lord of the Dance a few weeks ago and I was totally blown away. What a lovely theatre, amazing staff and great performance!
C. G.
Number one Elvis Impersonator Ben Portsmouth took care of business for the 100 year anniversary of the Dunfermline Alhambra Theatre.
J. K. M.
Proclaimers last night and many visits over the years. Absolutely needs more bar staff, spent a large amount of time waiting on pints being poured with staff standing still. 40 mins of chaos to get some drinks. Did calm down as the night went on but worst service I've experienced in a long time. Detracting from what was otherwise an excellent evening.
C. M.
A great venue for concerts, whether music or comedy. Not a large cattle shed, so you can actually see what you've paid for. Been here quite a few times and will be back.
S. K.
Fantastic evening with my son Graham at Noel Fitzpatrick Show ! Informative , amusing , such lovely caring stories of kittens/cats/puppies/dogs what more could one ask ! A belated Birthday treat !
A. M.
An amazing theatre, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The panto was hilarious for all ages. Will definitely be looking to see what else is on here in the future!
C. F.
Fantastic theatre which shows some quality acts. The panto this year was really funny and the kids loved it. Would highly recommend
F. B.
Very nice theatre, great view from the circle.
J. C.
Another fantastic night at alhambra at beauty and the beast, always enjoy a good show there, prices are a bit extortionate for juice and sweets, but I suppose it's the only way of keeping the theatre open all in all a great night.
M. B.
Definitely an improvement now the seats have been upgraded, though legroom isn't great. Always seem to be audience issues, so it's never a fantastic experience.
N. C.
We were there to see Jimmy Carr who was brilliant, staff were friendly and just a lovely theatre (been here several times), would highly recommend.
V. A.
This was our first visit. The venue is excellent and the show, One night with Queen, was extraordinary.
T. M.
The venue was too warm. There is no leg room. Uncomfortable for a long show. (Show was fab, though!)
M. L.
This theater always looks very festive and glamorous with all the lights. The staff is very lovely and helpful. We've seen Cinderella and it was great fun for young and old.
J. A.
Absolutely loved the show the staff were great and friendly very welcoming
M. C.
Excellent Venue. Skerryvore amazing. Seats good. Friendly staff. Parking opposite side of the road or park in side streets on the weekend. Good facilities and bar.
R. S.
Went to very good Sarah Millican show, my first visit to Alhambra. Lights, sound, seats all pretty good. Gents' toilet was really shabby, way down a narrow staircase, so the whole thing is marked down. But will go back for other good shows.
S. R.
Great venue, seen a few comics and acts here over the years and loved it each time. Great access and exit in to the theatre . Plenty of leg room and good wide aisles. Staff are super helpful and friendly too.
S. L.
Absolutely loved this venue..was there to see Queen 10 outa 10
S. “. C.
Fantastic theatre plenty of room. Would rather see a show here, than go to Glasgow or Edinburgh. Not so far to travel. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
D. R.
Nice venue for all types of shows. Decent seating, not cramped like a few places, great staff and bar is not to crowded. Prefer this to the bigger Edinburgh theatres.
M. R.
Pantomime Beauty and the Beast excellent cast great enjoyable evening, staff were pleasant and friendly.
G. D.
Great theatre, plenty of leg room between seats, bar at back of seating area was very expensive though
J. G.
Amazing atmosphere in the theatre.A top class show, easy access to toilets and bars
N. B.
My dad and I went to see the Elvis tribute.. It was absolutely amazing. The venue is beautiful.
L. B.
Performed here recently, really welcoming staff and absolutely beautiful theatre. Hopefully will get to come back again soon x
B. C.
Attended for the RHCP concert, new seats are good but now floor is very slippery especially as many drink get split after they are left on the floor and knocked over! I was also disappointed the staff did nothing about the vapers smoking throughout the show, however that would appear good news for vapers, I'm not a fan of the cloud of reek which is emitted from one.
E. W.
Took 6 grandchildren to Panto. All enjoyed. Good fun
K. J.
Great show easy entrance.need a little more knee room though.
e. m.
Well maintained old fashioned theatre.
Comfy seats, large stage and first class acoustics.
5 stars!
S. M. E.
Was nice. Had a bar, staff were cool. Nice seats. I liked it. I was absolutely glonchy so no idea if my experience was accurate to the quality of the establishment but I'd go back. 5 starrrrsss
j. q.
Great little theatre.went to see Simon and Garfunkel story. well staffed, easy parking, really enjoyable.
V. B.
First time at the panto and it was fantastic!! So much fun and great family entertainment
P. Y.
Great family pantomime. Excellent vintage theatre highly recommended.
A. M.
Show was amazing, staff are lovely, the only thing that i was disappointed with was that their card machine wasn't working so those of us who had no cash couldn't pay. They said they hoped it would be fixed before/during the first half of the show but failed to notify us if that happened and I didn't want to go out again and wait in line again if i was to be told it still wasn't working. We should have been notified before waiting in line that it was only cash payments and then an announcement made to let us know when the card payment machines were fixed.
p. m.
lovely theatre and staff 😀
K. C.
Fabulous venue. Beautiful interior and under superb management.
S. J.
Lovely old worldie theatre. The staff, atmosphere were excellent. The panto ok but sound not great and many "gags" for adults only. Kids happiest when able to join in, bangs going off or light changes. Happy 100 year anniversary. Beautiful theatre.
R. C.
Was at The Alhambra theatre to see Eddie Reader. What a wonderful night but I enjoyed the atmosphere of the theatre while I was waiting for the curtain to go up . The other thing was the background music was of all the Scottish singers and bands that you played. Well done .
D. T.
Excellent venue .great friendly staff
w. g.
Show was good. Staff friendly. Toilets need updating, cleanish. The seats. Wot to say. If yr tall u will get cramps. The space between u and the seats in front is very small. Not that comfortable. But the place is clean
M. M.
Loved the atmosphere ,looking forward to coming back this year
s. l. b.
What a nice theatre, loved the show and staff were very friendly, only issue was no running water in the disabled loo otherwise great place.
S. H.
Saw Jive Talkin here last wk. Great show. Drinks not cheap but tickets more than reasonable for the show the band were amazing. Definitely go again
I. F.
Great theatre, and an amazing show. Beauty and the beast was brilliant.
D. R.
Lovely old theatre .
We seen the excellent Simon & Garfunkel story there. Great sound.
J. A.
Great fun with my wife and granddaughter at pantomime good day out.
j. l.
Attended a concert at this venue 10/2/22 great atmosphere at this auditorium. Fantastic old building certainly adds to the overall feel. Staff were polite and courteous, no hesitation recommending the Alhambra. 😊
s. n.
Venue was clean, and well organised staff were polite and helpful. A good venue for shows etc
H. D.
Always provides a great atmosphere for the gigs I have attended there. Great sound quality while feeling closer to the band than many modern venues allow.
G. S.
Quaint well proportioned theatre conveniently placed in the city centre of Dunfermline.
T. D.
Excellent little theatre, parking within a couple of minutes of show with comfy seating, even an ice cream vendor at intermission 🍦 and the show with Alan Carr was brilliant, a very talented chap who despite his own personal troubles, managed to bring even that into his show and made us laugh.
J. E.
Show ASDSsummer extravaganza was excellent the children gave their all well done loved it toilets a bit tight to get in and out ,seat it the theatre very hard but other wise enjoyed the show 👍
A. W.
Staff brilliant. Atmosphere amazing, great night
M. M.
Thoroughly enjoyed Beauty and the Beast! 🎶💃
C. F.
We had a lovely eve, staff excellent will B back
J. P.
Very comfortable theatre and a great panto
M. B.
Great night at the Alhambra at the Peat and Diesel concert only issue was the length of time it took to get served at the bar but it certainly didn't spoil oor night
G. C.
Funny show but Adam Kay. Well organised staff, lovely small theatre.
A. F.
The Alhambra theatre is a fantastic place to take in a show from live bands to musical's to their summer school shows for kids.
It's bar is a bit pricey, but that is normal for this kind of establishment.
R. B.
Great old theatre. Recently refurbished with new seats etc. Good view of the stage, even from the back row.
D. W.
Great venue. The acoustics are very good.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
The bar prices are a bit steep.
B. P.
How good is it to get back to attending theatres, they have not wasted the past 2 years, new comfy chairs , the gig we attended was postponed from 2020 worth the wait.
a. r.
Brilliant night watching Skerryvore, supported by Cameron Barnes from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Norrie MacIver lead singer of Skippinish.. Staff at the Alhambra were amazing, very helpful, welcoming and helped to produce a night I will never forget! 5* all round!!
C. R.
As always alhambra is a nice venue, the band were fantastic, would go back time and time again to see illegal eagles perform, great atmosphere, great energy, great night out
c. m.
#girlsnightout #goodfriends
Great theatre, good seats and not to high that you are sitting in the gods :-( ....but very very warm with no air conditioning and a theatre full = not very comfortable experience...couldn't wait to leave:-(((
m. m.
Old school intement venue well suited to big bands
v. g. (.
Fab show, Lord of the Dance but the circle was closed & we had really good seats booked & ended up in not so great seats.
B. R.
My first time at the Alhambra found it to be a lovely theatre and staff were very nice. I would definitely go back or recommend to friends and family. 👍
D. K.
Peat and diesel were great. The venue is great though more bar staff would help. It was a particularly thirsty crowd!!
G. A.
Another great Panto kids and adults all Happy
H. C.
Nice old theatre good facilities staff helpful
A. M.
Fabulous night out to see Jason Manford. Great seats loads of leg room and staff gotveveryone in and out the venue quickly and safely. Highly recommended
I. a. T.
Went to see Alan Carr. What a lovely nostalgic building. We were in the upper circle. Don't book seats past row F as there the original seats and are very uncomfortable and broken looking. The people behind us were big fattys and had no leg room which they constantly complained about, we had no seats in front and splayed our legs out and hung our jackets over the rail.
There is a Monteray Jack's underneath that you can book pre show for yer denner as they say in fife.
C. D. R.
Beautiful theatre! One of the classics brought back to life! Clean, beautiful, well appointed dressing rooms! Friendly and helpful crew!
G. M.
Nice theatre , great place for the kids dance show I was at.
Great experience for all the dancers
A. J.
Went here to watch Marti Pellow,it was a brilliant night out,he hasn't lost it,still knows how to entertain, the venue itself was full to the rafters and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves ,the bar area was busy ,but the queue went down quickly,we had a great view of the stage.
M.
The seats felt so insecure, everytime someone in the row sat down everybodies seat swayed quite violently.
Other than that, the theatre was fine
K. W.
Excellent performance venue and it has a great history behind it. It was refurbished 11 years ago from when it was a bingo hall.
Very high ceiling and great acoustics. Great view from the upper circle. Only issue is access to the upper circle seats in the auditorium are via very steep stairs. Okay for me, but for the older generation it becomes a bit of a challenge and they feel unsafe because of the height. Seat legroom is all a little restrictive.
J. N.
Been here several times, always had a Great view wherever I have been seated.
We saw Eddie Reader who was brilliant
All the staff were very pleasant helpful
A. C.
Gary Mullen as Freddie Mercury was fantastic. If you haven't seen him, it's a must.
Good to be in the Alhambra again, the place is looking great.
A. M.
Great venue seats are well set out and a good view of the stage from all angles queues could be better managed and seating for performance could start sooner but overall a good experience
I. M.
Been in the Alhambra a few times now. Parking in local car parks near venue. It could do with a wee bit of work but good view and sound.
D. Q.
Great wee gem of a theatre. Nice bar, though Fosters on draught! Can surely pick a better beer.
A. A.
Seen Lord of the dance at this theatre.
Loved the show and the theatre. Very quaint in a lovely town
B. F.
Friendly helpful staff, plenty of bars and toilets in different areas. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
C. B.
Such a lovely theatre, comfortable seats too, we saw Jive Talkin' they were awesome 🤗
A. L.
The Alhamba is a beautiful theatre, seating is so comfortable with plenty leg room. The show I went to see was brilliant, will definately return for more great entertainment.
A. F.
Fantastic night out here recently. Bar staff are really friendly and obliging.
M. D.
Lovely old fashioned style theatre, very pleasant to see a show at. Good acoustics and wonderful atmosphere.
S.
Small theatre, lovely inside but was not 100% impressed with the seating. The leg room was awful so much so that it made me very uncomfortable towards the end of the show. The positioning of the seats in respect of viewing the stage was awesome...no restricted viewing (unless someone stood up for a toilet break) but the seats were definitely way too close to the seats in front. Other than that....brilliant night was had.
C. F.
Great performance venue. Gets some surprisingly big names as well as amateur companies. Hopefully the balcony will get the updated seating soon that the stalls have benefitted from - then I might increase my rating!
H. A.
Really good theatre, with plenty leg room when sitting.
Staff are lovely as well.
C. L.
Here tonight to see skerryvore. Staff were lovely and polite, bar prices very reasonable for a theatre.
A. R.
Excellent venue, easy to park across the street, friendly staff. Highly recommend.
H. G.
Older theater but good place for comedy. Speedy service at the bar during the interval and quick exit at the end of the show.
T. i.
Loved every experience here. I've attended multiple shows and never disappointed
I. F.
Great place to go for a show or a concert
C. J.
Good atmosphere, good sound. Bar could be a little faster though although they are trying their best.
d. j.
It's a lovely theatre, it was a show by John Bishop, really funny as was the supporting act. It gets 5 stars from me.
S. S.
Beautifully refurbished in original style. Comfortable and all stalls afford a good view of the stage. Only problem was everyone tried to exit by the main door and there was quite a crush. Once the other exits were opened things flowed more freely.
J. H.
Lovely little theatre, easily found and accessible to all.
Friendly staff. Good place for all the family.
G. C.
Nice old theatre. Good acoustics. Seating not up to much, pretty tight for knee room and seat backs to short.
Dougie McLean the legend was fantastic, some entertainer.
Skerivore, absolutely awesome.
D.
A pretty little theatre that seems to get some fab acts. We went to see KT Tunstall there, great show, but we're in the Circle.
The issues is that the seats are very close to the row in front. There is barely enough space for your feet and you can't move your legs for the whole.performance.
C. W.
Lovely theatre, well placed to local amenities either for a pre-show drink or a meal. Surprisingly plenty of leg room and comfortable seating, seats are fitted with cup holders which although simple a great idea. Well worth a visit to a good show
A. B.
Great little theatre. Been many times now. Always friendly staff, great atmosphere and comfy seats too !
I. B.
Great venue, steeped in history, nice facilities friendly staff
L. B.
Lovely theatre and well organised. Just been to see cinderella. Was absolutely fabulous. What a show. Great entertainment. Well put together
J. F.
Beautiful theatre .
classy
I. S.
Had to get up about 20 time to let people past, the usher kept sending them along our row didn't matter where they were sitting above or below us, why they didn't direct people to the stairs is beyond me, my friend went to have a word with ushers she was told the row we were in is usually empty. Price of drinks was atrocious. Show was brilliant, MENOPAUSE MUSICAL.
M. B.
Beautiful old fashioned theatre. There is a pun next door but theatre has a large bar at back of stalls. The only one down side was lack of women's toilets had to stand in rather large cue and only 3 cubicles but had a great time.
L. G.
Went to see the Hairy Bikers at this beautiful theatre. Fantastic night, they had chosen the Alhambra as the last night of their tour. Having been in Edinburgh and Glasgow on the days beforehand.
Lovely theatre, pictures of many varied artists going back decades hang on the walls up the stairs and in the bar.
N. F.
The show was amazing however the seats are not the most comfortable and have very little space. Bathrooms were not equipt to the best standard as many had no toilet roll in them. However staff were friendly and helpful and it's a beautiful theatre
S. T.
Very good helpful staff at venue too very happy to help you
d. k.
Beautiful and quaint little theatre. Not the best accessibility due to where it's built but the theatre is fine. Overall a stunning building providing a great night to enjoy your chosen act.
J. S.
Really enjoyed janey godley show, theatre was clean and tidy, staff all lovely and helpful amd friendly, look forward to next visit in December.
J. B.
An audience with Simon Reeve was excellent. However the seats are dreadful. Great view but the leg room even for an average height female such as myself is appalling. The old original seats need to be replaced ASAP if future audiences are to keep returning to shows at The Alhambra.
R. B.
Great concert, Red Hot Chilli Piper's. Venue was typical older theatre with very steep seating and tightly packed levels. But the atmosphere was excellent, the sound system good and our views were excellent. Queues for toilets, ladies and gents, were around 15 mins and bar had limited choices but overall a good experience. If you want nearby parking get there a little earlier but there are car parks within 10 mins walk.
L. W.
Good show. Comfortable seats
K. D.
Great theatre. Upstairs leg room is awful though, not as bad as Edinburgh Playhouse Balcony.
J. K.
Great night out watching Ben Fogle.
L. L.
Good venue. Seen Just Beatles here realy good. Theatre has been beautifully restored. Seating comfortable. Easy parking nearby. First time here wI'll definitely be back.
A. L.
Loved every minute of the show ❤
L. S.
Most recent visit was to see jack and the beanstalk at Christmas. Easily accessible and concession prices didn't break the bank either.
I've been to this venue for different events bith seated and standing, also in the stall and balcony and have never had issues with space or comfort
R.
Great theatre experience !
D. S.
Nice theatre, great seats. Always a good line up of acts.
K. P.
Good shows, cheaper than going to Edinburgh for a theatre night and the standard of performance is really good.
We've been to two shows in 3 weeks it's that good.
Book early to get your tickets.
We went to see Meatloaf tribute and spent the whole night dancing and drinking, such a laugh.
K. W.
Beautiful theatre. One of my favourites! Only comment I would make is that the ladies toilet cubicles are tiny! It's a tight squeeze, even for the slimmest people. The doors almost touch the toilet as you open them, and manoeuvring round it to get in and out is a bit tricky. An elderly lady (no disabilities) got stuck, and needed assistance to get out. There is one separate disabled WC, which is obviously much bigger. However, apart from this, it's a stunningly beautiful theatre, with lots of original, fascinating features, and comfortable seats!
d. w.
I've been to Alhambra theatre on many occasions and it is absolutely brilliant from comedians to concerts to children 's entertainment. Myself and my family always have a good time whether we' re sitting in the stalls or the upper circle.
D. B.
Superb theatre featuring top acts.
In centre of Dunfermline with plenty of restaurants and parking.
J. S.
Comfortable seats with a great view....
Only reason it isnt 5 stars, not one person even checked our tickets!!
G. P.
Brilliant for gigs with great class acts. Hope this stays as a attraction for the Fife area
N. B.
Nice old style theatre and enjoyed the panto but the toilets need some serious improvements. There were only 2 at the rear of the stalls and neither were working or functioning properly at the interval and there was a large queue of parents with kids. A bit fractious
B. L.
Went to see Janey Godley and she was fantastic if she was on tonight I would go back again great comedian never stop laughing 😃
C. S.
Adam Kay was brilliant. Staff were very kind letting us in early out of the cold and showing us where we were sat.
K. W.
Beautiful old theatre. Great sound. Only wee moan is upstairs circle very steep and as I use walking stick it was quite difficult. Book early if wanting downstairs.
K. B.
Had a great time the Tina Turner Tribute was fabulous
S.
Incredible theatre. The place looks like just opened in the old English days. Everything is clean and the acoustics are lovely. Definitely a good place to swing by and have a nice evening.
L. D.
Loved my night here seeing Sarah millican friendly staff
B. G.
Went to see the BGEES tribute act who were great.
S. M. L. D.
Hard not to like this place. Yeah the seats are old and a tight squeeze to get to...but! Theres a proper atmosphere in here. Ive only been a couple of times but it's quite the venue. Hasnt had millions spent on it to drag it into the 21st century....guess it never will. It brings a sense of occasion. Worth a look.
R. D.
I visited with my family for a pre-christmas/ lockdown Cinderella. It was a magical stolen moment in a small and friendly but impressive theatre.
K. D.
Have seen the Moscow State Ballet and Mousetrap here - what a fabulous wee place on our doorstep, we are so lucky. Some great acts are calling in here which is a real bonus and it's great to see a full house - good to know they have lots of local support. Back for Calendar Girls in Feb...can't wait !
A. T.
Lovely theatre. Not sure why the seating is missing in the front half of the balcony. Hopefully it's only temporary.
L. E.
Went to see The Dolls Dragged Up , brilliant show, nice theatre, really need to invest in more toilets , 2 toilets for a theatre full of women! Prices at the bar extorniate, £32 for 4 double vodka n cola! Ridiculous! No more money being spent at that bar!
S. P.
Really nice old fashioned theatre. We watched one night with queen, epic show👍
A.
Great night. Very helpful staff..
I. G.
Theatre feels fairly intimate, decent view of the stage from most seats. Close to the train station. Some of the seats are very tight especially if you are tall.
R. T.
Loved the show
C. S.
It's great having a theatre on your doorstep & a variety of choice.
M. M.
The theatre is looking great. The event we attended was so well managed and organised. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a great atmosphere and the sound was amazing.
N. S.
Attended concerts at Alhambra over last three weekends. Enjoyed the experience, beautiful venue, nice people to help you to your seats. Everything very civilised and well organised, no complaints.
A. D.
Came here to see Madam Butterfly performed by one of the Russian state companies. Well, they played to a great crowd, Fife is clearly a most cultured place. The house was packed, and it was lovely to see a traditional version performed much like it would have been in at the turn of the century - Although I do wonder when Madam B makes her appearance if the Brits just see Gilbert and Sullivan and Katicia the Daughter in law elect in Tittypoo!!!
But it was worth the trip over here, this really is a gem of a theatre and I am quite jealous of Dunfermliners having this as their local. Beautifully restored, wonderfully comfortable, prices for such quality and views quite incredible! Oh and friendly staff and theeee most sassy bar gals in the Kingdom, hammered out every G&T or prosecco in a flash with a large dose of their caustic wit. I cannot wait to come back here.
D. S.
It's not quaint like many old theatres but the seating is comfortable and well-spaced. The toilets are clean but very old-fashioned.
F. V.
Went to see the Red Hot Chilli Pipers..its a great venue to visit with great facilities and I had a great time.
C. L.
Great show in a amazing building. The Alhambra has so much history! I feel the history really shows in the decor. Resonable prices and comfortable chairs. Will definitely be going back.
I. C.
Saw wonderful Frank Turner here. Great size, great atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. Not to mention the cloak room is only £1 per item, a bargain compared to the Corn Exchange (etc).
K. U.
Great venue for A night in Nash ville. Think the radiators should have been switched off at mid interval as 2nd half of show was compulsive to dance to and it got too hot towards the end
K.
Been 2 a few shows here, lovely theater!
W. H.
Not the largest theatre but always an enjoyable night out
M. F.
Bit dated. Sticky floor. Broken seats. Numbering system for seats is terrible. Far too hot when the place is full! Can't pay by card at the bar! Only good thing about this place is the acts you go to see.
S. G.
Fab retro theatre, a bit tired but still great. Staff were lovely also. Jive Talkin' brought us here and we will definitely be back.
E. R. (.
Awesome venue for concerts, which should be used more.
C. M.
Warm welcome. Nothing too much trouble. Good visibility of stage even when people in front were standing up. Have been a few times and will keep visiting.
H. K.
Pantomime was absolutely amazing 👏 😍
K. M.
Been here several times, great staff, great shows
M. M.
A great local theatre with a wide-ranging programme of shows - music artistes & tribute bands, musicals, ballet, opera, comedy, panto, drama and more.
Licensed bar in the auditorium!
Loads of parking nearby.
Handy for bars & restaurants for pre- or post-theatre drinks/meals.
F. Q. O.
Lovely old theatre. Plenty of loos. Lovely bar
P. T. (. T.
Great venue. Old fashioned theatre feel to it. Floor standing on a slope so can see at the back. Great acoustics. Comfy padded seating
L. H.
Such a good venue without having to go over the bridge. You feel near the stage no matter where you are. I have attended a seating and standing events here. Bar at the back also.
D. B.
A lovely old style theatre which includes a bar at the back of the theatre itself.
Steeped in history am with top quality shows and nice staff.
Recommended
M. T.
Haven't been lately but I rate this place highly. Brilliant staff and great theatre.
M. M.
A great theatre, a real asset to the town of Dunfermline. Very impressive inside. Best memory was seeing the Proclaimers here when a packed house were up singing and dancing.
B. S.
Great to get out again and be part of an audience! Really comfortable seats!
B. H.
A really good local venue. Lots of great entertainment 👍 😀 👌
L.
Alhambra is a great place to go for a show, been here loads, this time being with work for our pre school graduation, great day had by everyone attending and children thoroughly enjoyed performing on the big stage.
f. l.
Love this venue. Apart from long long long queue at the bar it is awesome. Lovely old building and intimate atmosphere for all types of entertainment.
P. L.
Lots of great shows all year round but double booking seems to be a bit of an issue with this venue
Some seats are impossible to see properly from if you are below average height
Drinks etc are extortionate but what can you expect
This venue brings a lot of great shows to Dunfermline though which we would otherwise have to trek to Edinburgh etc to see.
A very important part of Dunfermline.
M. B.
This is a great wee theatre. Renovated a few years back and has a great acoustics. Well worth going to a venue here. You find a programme of events online
M. B.
Really beautiful theatre and the show, Firedance was spectacular.
D. A.
It was a amazing friendly staff
M. N.
Good to get out to concerts once again.will go back easy access
B. F.
Went to see the illegal eagles last night, what a show what an atmosphere and what a place. Drinks were a little on the pricey side but I suppose everywhere needs to try and make a penny these days haha the water was cheap.
N. K.
Fun place very modern
L. S.
Great new seating and bar at the back stalls. They need to sort out the box office - is it inside or outside? The current signage is useless.
W. S.
Great evenings entertainment, charming venue...
S. B.
Great wee theatre to pop my musical cherry. Limelight studios' Shrek was also a hit!

Fantastic wee theatre with helpful cheerie staff and s great audience. Only slight disappointment was an inadequate sound system. Soul Legends night Saturday 26-01-19

Another great show

Went to the Bowie Experience which was 5 stars. As for the Alhambra, when did they start searching handbags, ? When they starting charging extortionate bar prices. £5.15 for a pint of beer in a plastic glass. This is Dunfermline not down town metroplis. Canny Fifers will stop going.
M. W.
Great old theatre with excellent entertainment
K. R.
Sound is good but seating upstairs aren't for anyone over 5ft 10 & the drinks are expensive compared to other venues

C. S.

L. G.
We had a lovely afternoon the theatre was very clean and warm staff were very nice and I would recommend the venue.
d. b.
Great view from the circle and thoroughly enjoyed the show, not sure if there was a lift as I couldn't see any signs and there wasn't really anyone about to ask (that wasn't busy) so I had to struggle up a ton of stairs which only agravated my already painful leg also leaving the theatre was traumatic as people were just pushing and shoving and I felt I might fall if it wasn't for the bannister rail...good job there wasn't a fire or there might have been a good few fatalities.
B. D.
went to see John Bishop tonight, very very good ,
M. C.
Fantastic venue, great range of shows to suit everyone, fab night out
