My whole experience was great here. The food was surprisingly tasty! I was expecting a average dining experience due to the venue being a cinema but there’s a kitchen and very nice decor that captures both the warmth and Christmas mood. We had a bit of everything. The nachos were the perfect side dish, the Mac and cheese had a unique taste but we still enjoyed it. I’d say the best thing I had here was the hot chocolate. On top of everything there were short clips, films and trailers showing in the dining area from a projector which I thought was a nice touch.

We stumbled across this place during a recent visit to Fort William and we loved it so much that we returned the next day! The decor is intriguing, the staff friendly and efficient, the coffee is amazing and the cream tea is not to be missed! We return on the following day to the cinema and I was so happy that Audio Description was available for me as a visually impaired customer. The screening of Top Gun Maverick was excellent, especially in the luxury seats, accompanied by the very reasonably priced, fresh popcorn. After the film we just had to try something else from the menu; we highly recommend the pizzas and hot dogs. We can’t wait to return on our next holiday to Scotland.

Great wee cinema in Fort William. Went to see Jurassic World while the rain poured down outside. Very comfortable seats. My only negative is that the large popcorn was pretty small. I'm used to a big tub at my nearby cinemas.

Great decor, and friendly helpful staff. We had 2 pizzas and fries between 4. Ordered these just minutes before the kitchen was due to close at 9pm and so glad we got them. Food was absolutely great. Delicious thin stone baked pizzas full of toppings. Drinks are also great. I had a perfectly made french martini. We went here with no plan and I would absolutely visit again. Interested to try the actual cinema which shows new films, same as the bigger cinemas. Really cool place.

Really friendly and welcoming staff. Relaxed atmosphere with craft beers and great pizza, I had the salmon pizza which had massive chunks of really fresh tasting tender salmon and a lovely creamy sauce, was quite rich but excellent and cooked perfectly. The seats in the screens were really comfortable and the salted popcorn was basically perfect.

A clean and fast service restaurant that serves delicious pizza! We were there on a Sunday, almost everywhere else were closed. Although they were busy, the service was efficient. Empty tables were quickly clean for new customers to sit in. Serving staffs are courteous and friendly.

Really good food in a beautiful restaurant attached to what looks like a great little cinema. Excellent pizza, local beers, plenty of space. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area, particularly if it's an indoors kind of day.

Cafe Review: I enjoyed the freshly made Pizzas, the initial quick service and the cosy and clean restaurant/cafe. It was more expensive than you would expect and it was a struggle to order after your initial order without calling out a server directly. The same goes for paying for your meal where I opted to go directly to the checkout to avoid a long wait.

The Café Bar is a modern, beautiful and cozy place. We had Lentil soup and chip and they were brilliant. The soup was very creamy and delicious😋🤤 We met the owner and he was very friendly and welcoming and the staff were very nice and polite👍🏻 Definitely recommend 100%

Brilliant local venue. The pizzas are good! Went here after the service of accession in Fort William made a nice afternoon- nice comfortable cinema, not too big. Has that home comfortable feeling. Love the stack of logs next to the stove and the history documentary shoeing on the wall as you eat. This Docu' gives you a real sense of Lochaber and the history behind the place. The seats in the cinema itself are very Comfortable! And the staff are pleasant. We'll done Highland cinema!

Very clean friendly helpful staff, dog friendly, it was early for us so only had the soup of the day but it was very tasty. The waitress, brought some water for our dog, without being asked..its the little things that always make the difference.

I only popped in for a cup of tea. This is NOT just a cafe, this is a lovely restaurant with great service, food and a wide selection of whiskies too. The pizza and salad were excellent, very generous portions and really tasty. I would definitely come back.

First visit to the Highland Cinema - very impressed and will definitely be back. The whole place has a real quality look and feel, the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t try the café this time but it looked great and we’ll certainly try it next time we visit. The whole experience is way above any corporate multiplex and what big screen cinema should be.

This was such a cute cinema! We had a drink before our showing and it was a lovely atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and they were bringing water bowls for all the dogs after their hikes. The cinema was really cosy and comfortable. We didn't get any snacks but saw they were reasonably priced.

A lovely cosy cinema, very new and well presented. Perfect for a rainy day activity in Fort William. Good prices for popcorn and drinks and the toilets are a thing of beauty. Only one star taken off because the girl at reception couldn't have been less welcoming. Everyone else seemed fine, maybe she was just having a bad day.

Fantastic, high quality addition to the town centre, great to see! Stopped by for lunch and a film and was not disappointed. Soup and pizzas delicious, good choice of artisan beers and friendly service. Cinema screens smart and well presented, the unique car style seat at the front is a fun addition (although like a real sports car, was not exactly the comfiest!). Highly recommended.

What a wonderful experience we had at the Highland Cinema. From the second we entered this wonderful venue, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Inside the cinema, the seating was luxurious and very comfortable and the sound was perfect. After watching No Time to Die, we decided to have a bite to eat and what a lovely treat that was; lovely lentil soup & a fab pizza. The owner served us our lunch and told us about his passion for his home town and how he has enjoyed providing the local people with this magical cinema. What a place, wonderful!

We loved our trip to the Highland Cinema. We were up visiting and stopped off on a family member's recommendation. Lovely cocktails and fabulous food plus a beautiful setting. The interior is beautifully done - with an open fire fantastic artwork. The food was really good with lots of locally sourced ingredients - we had the salami pizza and some of the tapas style plates (beer cheese, crispy squid, and nachos) - great value for money with good size portions. The staff were all friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend!

Travelling from North Scotland, everyone hungry. Didn't have a booking and thought this place looked good. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and even with our dog with us they were very accommodating. Pizzas were really good with good size kids pizzas too. They even brought a water bowl for the dog. Nothing about here was bad, exceeded expectations, staff really really good, food really really good, setting really really good. Reasonably priced too.

The lights were slightly dimmed for a cosey atmosphere, there was a short film on the wall to have a watch of here and there and the music was relaxing, over all we enjoyed our visit. We had 3 small plates to start and share and a pizza. The pizza was really good, I had gluten free base and vegan cheese and it was to die for! I can't have dairy so missing cheese is a bit part of my life but this cheese deffo hit the spot! They had super fancy hand wash and moisturizer too.. 👸 Would recommend

This is a very nice small cinema, had all the confectionary you could want to take in the cinema with you, at usual cinema prices. By that I mean it's cheaper to go to a sport market and buy them there too take in with you. Everyone does it. There is a restaurant attached to it also

Fabulous from start to finish. Spontaneous visit whilst in Fort William, our highlight so far. Drinks in front of a roaring fire was a great start, cinema had great sound, best popcorn ever that was great value too. A cracking bond film played second fiddle to a great overall experience rounded off with Scottish themed tapas in the bar, pizza was very tasty washed down with a locally brewed pint. It's must visit for anyone passing through and anyone local you are very fortunate to have this on your doorstep.

We ate here after our hotel staff recommended it. We were dubious as didnt imagine going to a cinema for a meal but we were blown away by the quality - better than most restaurants. There was a film on a projector of the history in the Highlands which was such a nice touch. The staff were attentive, but only when needed. We turned up with 2 famished children having been caught out by several other restaurants being closed due to staff shortages. We had to wait for a table but the friendly service was quick and brilliant. Tbey too were short stagges but the team were superb. Good pizzas hit the spot. To top it all there was an old black and white railway documentary projected onto the wall, and having just come off the Jacobite, it was a fitting end to our day. Highly recommended.

We live in the Fort but, due to the obvious, this was our first visit to the the Highland Cinema. No Time To Die on screen 1; treat!!! The screens are small but yet perfectly formed and therefore the picture quality is far superior to your run of the mill chain cinema. Speaker quality is also top notch, seats comfy and ambiance spot on. Had a table booked for afters; prompt and friendly service, finger lickingly good pizza/sweet potato fries. Log burner in the background and cinefilm footage of the local area adds to the atmosphere. One of the best for any film fan looking for the complete night out (local draft quenches a thirst too!).

We were recommended this spot for food, so can’t comment on the cinema itself. The food was fantastic, as was the extensive drink menu. Had a lovely prosecco mocktail. Service was absolutely appalling and we wouldn’t visit again because of it, which is a shame.

Came in twice during our week holiday in Fort William, when having a look in the town. The cheese board and the tapas were lovely! Presentation was good as well! Sat outside at the front as we had out dog, but dogs can sit inside also, which is a nice change as most places don't allow dogs. Toilets were very clean! After seeing the handwash in the toilets, turns out you can buy it in Fort William just a few shops down or at the soap company. Nice to see them using local businesses. Only downside, which is no fault of the cinema, is the guy singing directly opposite in the square...abit tone deaf, would be nice if he could be moved somewhere else, ruins the atmosphere of such a nice lunch.

Just went in for a hot drink and to get out of the weather. OK coffee, chocolate covered cakey thing just fell apart. However the show stealer is definitely the great selection of old local B+W films, collated and projected on a rolling basis above the cafe wall. So entertaining that I mostly forgot about my structurally deficient cake!

Normally we would go to a posh restaurant to celebrate but, as we all know, there is nothing normal about this year! Really comfortable seats in the cinema and excellent wood-fired pizzas in the restaurant made for a lovely day.

Cocktails and a show! What more could you ask for? Coming out of the restrictions, it was wonderful to be able to go to the cinema again, even if it was to watch Godzilla vs Kong. The Highland Cinema has obviously gone through great lengths to make it covid-friendly with plenty of hand sanitisers everywhere and dividers between tables in the cafe. We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside on Saturday evening in the sun for a few drinks, which we had daquiris, an old fashioned, white russian and an extremely strong Long Highland Iced (only for the brave!!). You are allowed to take drinks into the cinema with you (in plastic cups) and so we were able to enjoy ours from extremely comfortable seats. If you don't mind paying a few £'s more then I would highly recommend the Luxury seats. The staff were lovely and very helpful! Overall, an extremely pleasant evening.

Subtitles! I was so pleasantly surprised about the high level of cooperation in putting on subtitled shows so that I could access the cinema too, I really appreciate it! Also, good food in the café front-of-house, the house white 🍷 can be recommended, comfy seats, and clean.

A perfect little 2 screen cinema with choice of deluxe super comfy chairs. The restaurant ambiance is excellent and food locally sourced excellently cooked and presented! The portions are also sizeable ! I visited today (20th October 2020) with my wife and grandkids - the ghillie seafood platter was standout quality !! An excellent day out. This is an superb addition to the town - ticks all the boxes! This would fair well against any boutique cinema in a bigger city. Definitely worth a visit. We will certainly make it a regular stop when in Fort William.

A superb new Fort William venue for visitors and locals. The building design and local detailing explain the local culture to visitors and new locals alike.This is certainly not corporate city Cine-world and all the better for that! The venue works as a modern cinema to see films from other cultures within Highland Culture. The main cinema has a sense of space with very comfortable seats and a clear view of the screen. The sound system is very clear.The quirky Lotus Elan seat option evokes the idea of a drive in cinema. Even the adverts are local and add interest! The staff were all helpful and toilets were spotless with a quirky design. The cinema and bookshop are a bit like a " Nevis Range" moment for Fort William 30 years ago when Ian Sykes delivered his big outdoor vision for the town - so well done Angus MacDonald for delivering your quality indoor vision for Fort William. We are certainly going to be regular locals at the Highland Cinema.

Stopped off in Fort William on way to the West - Saturday 3pm wanting tea and cake - all the cafes were closed until finding Highland cinema with cafe - busy but loads of staff wandering round with pads doing not much - one person actually prepping food and drinks - asked for tea and cake - tea was good but sold out of cake except one piece of sickly choc covered coconut ice - why no cake ? - then when we left passed a tray of flapjack on the counter - walked further up the High Street to find an open Costa which i normally avoid but wished had found it sooner
