Jim has been doing jobs for a good few years now for us including routine boiler servicing as well as carrying out other work from fixing a leaky toilet, hot water valve, capping gas fire and installing a new nest system. I know Jimmy personally ,but this is the first time he's done any work for me. We arranged a date and time over the phone. The day before he was due to visit, he contacted me after having a job cancellation. Can he come and take a quick look at the gas fire? Yes, of course,so he came inspected the gas fire. Discovered that a new part was needed. He ordered the part that day. Returned on the next day as arranged previously, with the new part to fit. Jim came out to investigate a leak we had under our kitchen sink just before Christmas. He was very responsive when I contacted him and as it was not an emergency he provided advice on how to manage the problem until he could visit. Jim arrived promptly on the day and time we'd scheduled, was respectful of our home and was working in a COVID safe way which was appreciated due to vulnerable members of our household. Jim worked quickly to diagnose the problem and talked me through what the issues were and the steps he would take to try and fix things. He worked cleanly and managed to resolve the leak for us. We found Jim to be very friendly, well priced and his work to be of a high quality. We've already booked him to come back and fix some other issues we are having in our bathroom and to replace our kitchen tap. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jim if you want a reliable and knowledgeable plumber.

Jim managed to visit my property after squeezing me into his already schedule. He wore a face covering being covid aware. He examined the shower unit extremely thoroughly and advised I may need a new shower mixer unit given its 20 year plus age. I must admit other people have told me this. Jim gave me avenues of guidance, which I am grateful for even though he couldn't repair the shower there and then. Thanks Jim 🙂

After having a few other companies not showing interest in assisting me with my issue I contacted Jim off the back of a recommendation in a local Facebook group. Jim was extremely accomodating and put my mind at ease and was open about his availability. After arranging a time he was held up at his previous appointment and kept me updated as to his timeline, this meant there was a period where I was unavailable to which Jim was more than accommodating and assured me that if he arrived before I returned home he would be able to wait. Whilst dealing with the issue he was quick to establish and explain the problem and the steps required to resolve whilst also outlining a plan for if the fix was not successful, this 'backup' happily wasn't required. He worked hard to ensure he completed within the agreed timescale whilst not rushing the work he was doing. I cannot recommend Jim highly enough as everything about how he conducted himself was exemplary, including his handling of COVID safety.

Our boiler sounded like a jumbo jet setting off in the early hours of this morning, no hot water or heating 😰. We rang James later this morning and he came round to see what the problem was, he fixed it promptly and efficiently. Thank you James, we've heating and hot water on this cold miserable day. I rang Jim for my mother-in-law's boiler service. Jim gave us a date and range before to check we were still ok. He turned up on time and did a great job. The boiler needed a part ordering. He ordered it immediately and kept my mother-in-law in the loop with the delivery and arranged a time for coming back. Jim came back with the new part and completed the job. The boiler was serviced and we have his number for the annual service! We will definitely use Jim again. Highly recommended.

A massive thanks to Jim spurr from Gastech . I can't praise the guy enough . I phoned Jim on a Saturday and he came round at the earliest opportunity he could on Sunday morning . My bolier had been playing up but some how started working just before he got here . He didn't even charge me for coming round , which when I think about it how many plumbers would do that ? Anyway later that day my boiler failed again . The next day when I finished work he came round after working all day himself and within an hour had the boiler up and running for me again . It turns out it was an earth wire that was causing the flame to fail . This was the second plumbing emergency I've had that Jim has sorted out for me . Jim is a good honest lad who knows his trade and is willing to answer any questions you have for him . He is excellent value and I would not use any other plumber now . Thanks Jim .

Contacted Jim for a boiler service which was completed to a very high level. Price quoted was the price paid despite it being a trickier and more time consuming job than originally anticipated.
