Reviews of Barons Court Theatre

Waiting for the proverbial curtain to go up. Booking tickets was really easy and it looked a though you could also buy tickets at the door, (although that meant literally at the door into the theatre space).

Lovely, small, cozy theatre beneath a funky bar. I went to see one of my favourite cabaret magicians, Dee Riley, and it was a fabulously magical night 💃🌈⚡️

Saw « Maybe I do…? » by Cova Camblors and it was so friendly. Such a nice intimate space but big enough to be comfortable. Great tech too.

One of the oldest pub theatre in London. Looks very spooky dangeoun.

This theatre is pretty close to West Kensington station. Literally, across the road. The theatre is pretty small in size (40-45 seats) but quite cozy. The place is really good for short and casual performances. There is a pub upstairs. The interior of the toilet (women's) was quite quirky and clean. The only minus point was the stench which surrounded the place. Probably it was because the day I visited was rainy. Not sure. Overall a good experience.

Good pub, nice food, good atmosphere, friendly, efficient staff, good theatre space downstairs. Loved it.

Loved the play we saw here, super pub above it too.

Very nice cosy theatre hidden in the cellars of a pub! Came to see Sex Magick and enjoyed the production thoroughly! :)

Great pub! Range of drinks extensive choice! Fun atmospheris basement theatre but.
..depends on the play. Brilliant and enthusiastic acting but dubious inaccessible play wriuing. In fact almost completely indecipherable! Horrendously crippling seats!

If you're a bit confused by the reviews, that's because this is a tiny theatre (apparently 57 seats but feels like half of that) in the basement of The Curtains Up pub. The pub is a lively gastropub. Stairs inside lead down to the toilets and to this little cellar with seating around a small performance space. The box office is a person checking tickets as you enter the doorway. Seating is not allocated so do queue. There are about 3 rows of a few seats on 2 sides of the stage. We saw 'Jack and I' a comic Victorian detective caper about the hunt for Jack the Ripper. It was good fun but the highlight was sitting in such a unique venue - perfect for this play.

Forgetting that I fell asleep at the play which wasn't great - they have a lovely theatre in the basement, small and quirky - this pub has a good vibe, it's between two stations and has a good menu.

Went for a friends birthday dinner, food was decent while price were higher than I expected. Cutlery and glasses were very dirty and for some reason they had very little beer on tap.

Its worth going to this pub in West Kensington because of the tiny gem theatre it hides downstairs: the Barons Court Theatre. The pub is lively, with big, comfortable chairs and pillows. It is the only nice pub around when coming out of West Kensington or barons Court station, so come here if you are coming from there. It is very lively most nights of the week especially on friday and saturdays. The staff is young and friendly
