What a venue to throw a party. We were asked by our client to throw a summer of 69 themed party at the BT tower and it was very exciting. The venue is of course very unique and the fact it does a full 360 revolution whilst you are dancing away is a USP to say the least. The venue staff were perfect. Everyone of them were amazing and we could not of wanted it any better. We cannot wait to be back here planning events for our clients.

Absolutely brilliant day taking my kids to see Santa. Stunning views from the top and a chance to be on a revolving floor feels like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity I'm so glad I just got to be part of it. Every staff member in the building seems to be full of cheer and did an excellent job. If I ever get a chance to go back I will because the views are stunning.
J.
Amazing views of London and some interesting films to watch downstairs in the auditorium.
Visiting the tower is by invite only but I was lucky enough to win a competition through BT to go.
The lift to get to the revolving floor 34 was quick.
It takes about 25 mins to go 360 degrees. We went round twice before but was switched off.

A spectacular icon of twentieth century communications technology. While the iconic dishes have mostly gone nowadays (that technology has moved on), the building still towers over Fitzrovia. The tower itself isn't open to the public but there are several special open days and opportunities during the year, so seize the chance to go up if you can, the views from the top are simply spectacular.
A. B.
Cool looking tower, impossible to visit tho. (Unless you know people)
K. A.
The BT Tower is a communications tower located in Fitzrovia, London, owned by BT Group. It has been previously known as the GPO Tower, the Post Office Tower and the Telecom Tower. The main structure is 177 metres (581 ft) high, with a further section of aerial rigging bringing the total height to 191 metres (627 ft). Its Post Office code was YTOW.

One of the best quirky high up attractions in London.
It’s a little run down but good fun getting up in the speedy (over 1,000 feet a minute) lift. From the hospitality floor, up high, there’s an amazing view of the city with lots of handy signs so you know where everything is.
If you’re lucky they’ll set the floor to move so you’ll literally be rotating around! 🙃
S. P.
Iconic building. Not open to public though. Bit run down in the immediate area but nicer places near by. I enjoyed seeiing it close up.

If you ever get the opportunity to go out BT Tower, grab it with both hands because it's not often you'll get the chance.
I was able to visit during the annual Open House London event and the views are breathtaking. I've been to many spots where you can great views of London skyline. But this is the only one where you can get it in busy central London. In that way, it's quite unique.
Expect airport-style security but once you're through, you'll be guided past the mini BT Tower exhibition that explains all about its history and then to lifts to the top.
The top is modern and gone are any features that once made it a restaurant. The BT Tower does revolve but at a slow 5 miles per hour, you'll barely notice it until you look at the floor. It's an amazing 360-degree view of London. You can see the City, Wembley, Battersea. You name it, you'll see it.
Sometimes, biscuits and refreshments are generously provided. There's not much else to do but the views are worth it alone. You can easily spend one hour here marvelling at the views.
Highly recommended and as I say, grab that chance to visit with both hands when you get it.
C. B.
One of the best views in London if you're lucky enough to get invited up.
Gives a whole different perspective of the London skyline due it's location away from nearly every other tall building.
Also the fact the whole viewing gallery revolves is awesome.
Hazy day, but the pictures from my phone give an idea....
j. p.
BT Tower isn't normally open to the public, but if you're lucky enough to be invited to one of the occasional public events there, you'll love the amazing view from the revolving reception area 30 or so floors above London.
A. D.
Nice landmark but it’s hard to get access to get up there
P. M.
It is closed to the public.
J. B.
Breathtaking views from a privileged position, 158m above ground level on the revolving 34th floor
G. P.
If your lucky enough to go, go.. The views from the revolving restaurant (not open to the public) gives great 360 views of London

Incredible if you get the opportunity to go up there, highest floor rotates 360 degrees and all
M. S.
Fantastic venue for a business meeting always wanted to take a trip up the most iconic building in London,
The speed from the bottom to the top is unreal lad true experience in its self.
M. H.
Magical ,what a great evening, very lucky to go up the BT tower what an icon. Sit back and wait as the as you rotate 360 degree's to look out at fantastic London at night .
J. J.
It was lovely to get to go up the BT tower on the open house weekend. It was a great chance to head up to the revolving floor and get a view out over London.
L. S.
It's not open to the public because of massive security implications. It was an IRA target not too long ago ... people died.
K. S.
I was lucky enough to have lunch in the revolving restaurant at the top of the tower. Amazing.
D. T.
This is one of the most famous landmarks in London. It’s location was once considered secret and want on maps. It is easy to find however!
At one point it was called the GPO tower.
L. Y.
Amazing tower
The best is to go to the floor where you can have a panoramic view of the city
Better choose a sunny and non foggy day
Really worth it
M. م.
Always displaying up to date messages relevant to whatever events are undergoing in London!
C. W.
Very interesting place to be, will definitely be visiting again soon.
S. I.
Not open to the public, but if you get an invitation make sure you go!
T. D.
Very pleased I managed to visit this fantastic London landmark. The views are incredible!!
K. W.
Excellent view from the 34th floor of the BT TOWER. Shame it's not open every week.
T. R. P.
Walked by on a Saturday morning and it was closed to the public. However, it appears to be a elegant bit of 1960's architecture in London.
I. E.
Fantastic corporate experience. Highly recommended if you have the chance to visit.
J. B.
Very 60s with its revolving floor. Great views across Central London and what a history it has.
b. s.
Left to own divides so took myself to 34 floor of by tower London lucky boy
A. K.
Beautifully kept building with amazing London views. Polite customer engaging staff throughout which includes but is not limited to catering, AV crew, and security. The restaurant rotates. You will need to get special permission to visit this venue as it is no longer a publicly open attraction but reservations may be made for private functions.
P. S.
Its definitely a tower owned by BT!
S. B.
BT Tower is my place of work. Iconic building unfortunately not open to the public.
S. V.
Great experience and amazing views!
P.
Great building to visit, security is tight as you would expect for a major UK land mark.
The post boxes on display are great and the views from the observation deck are exceptional, if you get a chance for a tour go for it, you will not be disappointed...... oh, and the high speed lifts are great lol
M. B.
Amazing visit, views fantastic even in the rain, a delicious dinner and splendid event
R. C.
Came here for a function. The lift zooms you up 34 floors to the revolving restaurant in double quick time. The view is incredible and once the restaurant starts moving it gives a great all round panorama of London without getting out of your seat. The food was small plates, but lots of them. Very nice, would love to visit again.
H. B.
Amazing views, great and friendly staff. Easy to get to with only a mile to walk from the nearest tube station. The fact you can be so high up in the sky and the building you are on revolves is seriously impressive. If you get the chance to go then do, you won't regret it.
J. D.
Even though it's largely redundant as for it's original role (a hub for microwave communications in a cold war era), BT Tower still is an iconic member the London skyline...
M. H.
It’s a revolving tower surrounded by lower buildings, what’s not to love? The shard and others may be taller but for me the BT tower has unparalleled views as you’re looking down on everything around you. It’s great to see how many flats now have roof gardens now, plus the strange shapes of buildings and blocks that you never glean from the street level
W. W.
Currently closed to the public (long preceding London shuttering itself during the coronavirus pandemic) if you get the opportunity to go inside and up the BT Tower, grab it with both hands and don't let go!
The tower opened in 1964 and was the tallest in the United Kingdom from 1964 to 1980. It formerly hosted a restaurant at the top but this has been closed to the public since 1980. It isn't easy to get inside but I was able to visit during the annual Open House London event and the views are breathtaking. I've been to many spots where you can great views of London skyline. But this is the only one where you can get it in busy central London. In that way, it's quite unique.
If you do get the chance to visit expect enhanced airport-style security (installed after a terrorist attack in 1971) but once you're through, you'll be guided past the mini BT Tower exhibition that explains all about its history and then to lifts to the top.
m. f.
Spectacular place to eat and watch the sunset overlooking London
S. G.
Great views, lovely food. Excellent place to meet.
D. R.
Here for a work related matter, very fortunate with the weather
C. M.
I came for a conference run by the Marie Collins Foundation on 23rd June 2017 and, although the conference was very good, to have an hour and a half lunch in this fantastic venue, topped off the experience. The view was stunning, they rotated the viewing tower and the food and service was excellent. For a lunch time experience, this was truly amazing and thanks to all the staff who looked after us. I am going to try and come to another Conference in july, just to experience this again!!! Fabulous
E. S.
One of the best iconic buildings not only in London but in UK in general. Amazing view at the top and one of the hardest that you could ticked on your bucket list as it's already closed to the general public. So grab the opportunity to visit whenever you'll be given a chance. The revolving restaurant or the rotating floor is the highlight plus the very fast and smooth lift service. And the bonus is the faultless and super friendly staff.
M. B.
Amazing venue, incredible views and fantastic food.
M. A.
Interesting utilitarian tower that dominates the Fitzrovia cityscape.
G. C.
This is one of those iconic buildings that is just part of the wallpaper of life in London, visible froma long way away from many parts of town. You can catch glimpses of it if you're in the west end. That dude it isn't a tourist attraction per se. They no longer offer a dining experience. Good for a couple of quick snaps.
E. R.
I guess a lot of people who visit London would not miss this building, which is understandable given its size and prominence. However after I have been there, I do not think it justifies the hype, so bottom-line go there only if you have nothing else to do or if it is a rainy day.
Of course your mileage might vary.
A. L.
It's a wonderful view when you get to the top, aided by the slowly rotating room at the top. The lift is super fast.
I din't think it's a tourist attraction though as you'd need to be invited through BT.
J. S.
Absolutely amazing views! Only open to the public on Open House Weekend in September, and then only by ballot. But if you're one of the lucky few then definitely go for it!
K. G.
An iconic London building. As it's usually closed to the public, you'll have to grab an opportunity to visit whenever it arises! The views of the city are spectacular of course, and the rotating floor is just the icing on the cake. A well-loved part of the skyline.
b. b.
Got a chance to check out the top of the tower and the super fast elevator during our exclusive tour for the STEM competition winners. It was amazing and there is probbably the best view of London from that tower.
N. S.
Was lucky enough to attend a private event at the top of the BT Tower...what a gorgeous building! Beautifully maintained and very techno-forward. I enjoyed a smooth elevator ride to the top and absolutely delicious catered food at the revolving section at the top of the tower -- with spectcular views!! I'm convinced this is the best place in London to get the best (not to mention 360 degree) view of the city! My advice: go at sunset, and you get to see the skyline by day and night!
G. P.
This icon tower is a must-see up close, which is forever London !!
C. J.
What a place,
The BT Tower is NOT generally open to the public but there are special function and corporate events throughout the year.
The revolving restaurant turns once every 22 minutes and gives panoramic views of London from 155 metres on the 34 floor.
The lifts travel at 1400 feet per minute and when installed were the fastest in Europe.
Someone asked where the green slate at the entrance comes from and I can tell you after I checked it out online that it comes from only one mine in the lake district.
When the rotation stops the sway on the tower is aproximatly 13 inches and you can feel it.
T. R.
One of the most iconic buildings in London it is clear why it is so well loved. The BT Tower is a big part of not just London's history but the UK as a whole and if you have the opportunity to visit inside then take it!
The views are unparalleled with gorgeous views of Regents Park and the city. With floor to ceiling windows it is a fantastic place to take photographs.
When you arrive remember to take photo ID and dress as if you're going to an airport as you will be frisked!
The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating - it's a wonderful way to spend an evening.
B. G.
Another fantastic event from the Google Team! The exhibition centre at the base of the tower gives a brief overview of the tower and it's history. A brief talk from a representative from BT about when the tower was first built and why it was shrouded in secrecy for 10 years. One speedy lift ride up, you are rewarded with a fantastic view across the whole of London! Great food and drink at the top and the only aspect which let this down was the service from the staff. Some were a little sensitive about where we could take pictures from but overall a great experience.
D. N.
Lucky to get a trip to the top recently. Entrance area is very corporate, presumably used for loads of BT marketing events. Quick lift to 35th floor gets you into revolving section. Amazing views over London.
Nothing else on display at the top on the day we visited, but it still used for events, and other stuff as required by BT.
K. P.
Always wanted to go there but didn't got time to visit. This photo was clicked by me when there was a news of a boy's birth in royal family.
S. D.
I had the privilege of being on the top of the tower and the view on London is amazing. Not the highest building in London, but due to its central position you can see all the important landmarks that the city has to offer. And the floor rotates. Sick. :)
M. L. F.
It’s been closed to the general public for over 30 years but for one night only London’s City Experts were allowed to take a trip up inside the iconic BT Tower! London is an amazing city with so much to see that it only becomes even more incredible with height. There are a lot of places you can do this in the city from the London Eye to Monument to the Shard but getting to go somewhere that is usually off-limits is an even bigger thrill!
Whizzing up to the top at a whopping 600 feet per minute (not even close to the elevators top speed of 1400 feet) we braced ourselves as we exited the lift to some of the most amazing views of the city I have ever seen. I almost forgot to grab a welcome drink I was so excited! I didn’t know which way to look! Naturally I gravitated towards the East and Canary Wharf as that’s my side of the city. (Isn’t it odd how we choose a side when you move to London?) Watching the city light up was so incredibly magical and my favourite part of the evening.
S. D.
Well what can I say?
Great views from the top, but first you have to get there by a fast lift that goes at 80mph. A few thousand feet up and you arrive at the old revolving restaurant deck. You now need to revolve around to see the views of London, and what sight's they bring! You get to see everything in London, and you notice buildings and old railway and tube stations.
Alas though, BT doesn't many tours of the BT Tower anymore. But let me tell you, oh what an experience it is to be up in the clouds over London.
G. I.
A great way to get a panoramic view over London ( the restaurant revolves). The nearby buildings have the appearance of miniatures. Food. Drinks.
E. S.
Amazing experience. View are amazing. BT where great hosts.
K. L.
Spectacular panoramic views of London, and wait until you feel it rotating!
Managed to come here with the Google City Experts crew recently, and it was a unique experience to enjoy food in what was for a long while the tallest structure in London.
Lots o' history, and very calming to be up so high.
S. D.
Very good went to it for a grotto and everybody was dressed as elves apart from santa of course 😁,also got to go up the top of the tower with this (floor 34) and the outside of it was moving so got to see all view of London from sitting down.
A. f.
Amazing place, staff were fab as was the food
M. M.
Wonderful view in every direction.
j. e.
Iconic location. I was surprised to learn that the iconic revolving restaurant is no longer open to the public but invite only! Feel extra privileged and the views are amazing!
A. B.
A fantastic experience. Amazing views of our wonderful city with 360 degree views. The sunshine and champagne only added to this amazing experience for the family. So pleased to be able to be part of the 50th Celebrations.
V. C.
We went as part of an evening event. The entrance is on the north (Maple St) side. Security staff were very friendly (airport style entry) and there was a free cloakroom. There is a lift that whisked us up to the 34th floor. Here we had amazing night-time views of London from floor-to-ceiling glass panels, even more impressive from this part of London where there are no other comparable high-rise buildings. Even better the 34th floor is the revolving section of the tower so one can take a seat and watch the cityscape move. The bar staff were friendly and the canapes were excellent (especially the chicken pie and macarons)
m. t.
Amazing views over all of central London
I. S.
Amazing views of London. The rotating top was great.
R. M.
I wish I could give this place 10 stars! What a manificent event! The views are breathtaking and the revolving floor was a fun experience. It's a pity it's no open to the public any longer. Day or night it's a fabulous venue for events of any kind.
A. N.
Great day out ! Fun attraction! Made our weekend complete! Architectural gem of Birmingham. We had a wonderful Saturday observing a historic landmark of Birmingham.

Lovely treat with the grandchildren this Christmas.
Amazing experience.
S. H.
My office - so I'm going to be biased... 😁
K. Z.
Interesting place. The top floor has a great view of London (assuming it's a sunny day), so if it's ever open (usually for BT sponsored events), take the chance to go.
S. M.
I did not go up the tower, no reason, but had no time for it to be honest, I was in the area for other reasons, but I did take couple of photos of it on the mobile phone to say I've been there.
L. E.
Best experience and clear views on the day
L. L. T. B.
Unique views over London. If you ever have the chance to visit this place, TAKE IT
R. B. -. E. k.
I do regret when Westminster Cable TV were around, back then were owned by BT.
Remember I got invited up but could not go, so the guy I worked with Kieron went with his wife and told me it was an exhilarating experience. So I really missed out there.
I was pleased to see them light it up with the French tricolour colours after the French terrorist incident of late last year. I can see it from where I work and the London Eye did the same and it all looked magnificent from a roof up in Wardour Street.
Iconic and you can see the BT Tower from all directions and could even see it when I am cycling in to work from different angles.. simply magnificent.
Z. R.
Oh my goodness. The revolving floor was so awesome. You sit down and watch London move around in front of you. It was fun to guess what different buildings were
c.
Amazing view of the city. wifi was decent
s. l.
Used to work for them and got up there twice, once climbing the stairs for charity. Rare honour to go, largely unspoilt views as few tall buildings nearby.
G. F.
An iconic building with incredible views across London. I went up as part of a business presentation, not sure how accessible it is to the general public. Check the website.
M. u. N.
19 th tallest building in London
J. H.
It was great driving around London at this time as there are not many people or cars about, pure heaven for a courier 🤣🤣
M. A. W.
This tower used to be the G.P.O. Tower and there is a public restaurant at the top which used to rotate but following terrorism in London the restaurant was closed down.
B.T, Royal.Mail, Post Office Counters and Parcel Force were all part of one single company called the G.P.O. but following the election of Margaret Thatcher's government, BT was sold off and shares were offered to the public. The Post Office was opened up to competition to compete against rival delivery companies like Post Mangold, the Dutch equivalent of the Post Office so it beefed up its efficiency to maintain its share of the market.
P. I.
Iconic part of London's skyline with a rotating resteraunt bar near the top. An excellent place to work with a good community.
S. U. M.
Entry to the building is by two high-speed lifts which travel at 7 metres per second (15.7 mph), reaching the top of the building in under 30 seconds.
M. K.
Very difficult to get to the top. You either need to know someone with the inside invitation clearance or join some special event. Either way - the view in the revolving venue is totally worth it.
n. m.
Brilliant views but not open to public, was a spec ial invitation, this is a view money can't buy, if you ever get an opportunity to get entrance would recommend it
G. L. M.
What we can say about the bt tower? #iconic #londonskylight #middleoftheworld #londonlandmark
J. D.
If you get an opportunity to visit, well worth it. It's definitely unique and it's fun to watch the view as the room revolves.
a. r.

a. m.
Brilliant experience if you ever get the opportunity. Amazing views of London from the revolving restaurant on the 34th floor.

P. C.
Fastest lift in the UK, what more can you say?!?

Cool tower but nothing special about it, surrondings are central but run down
K. K.
I’ve always looked up to this amazing iconic building in Birmingham. It is the brum skyline. It’s an absolute must see if you visit the city.

L. H.

Very central and a very good landmark
I. B.
Fantastic experience with Audacious.co.uk launch. A fantastic mobile phone service for people who need clearer calls whether they have hearing loss or not.
C. M.
A fantastic location which rarely allows visitors to access. If you are lucky enough to be allowed in for whatever reason you will be greeted with magnificent views of the cityscape.
D. P.
OK I was expecting better than this but alright and would be good for next time improving this area and need restaurant on top too
S. F.
Got to make an exclusive visit to the London BT tower with the Google City Experts team and loved it, stunning views of the city with a 360 degree revolving floor, a must see and great place to watch the sun go down over London

Absolutely fantastic huge wow factor when you walk out from the lift amazing experience
B. O.
Worth a trip but only if you have arranged access as BT client, guest, etc. Not open to public. Great views

Fantastic time with spectacular views of London via the revolving restaurant.
A. B.
Went here for a private charity function, as its not an open venue... revolving restaurant and views are amazing in this iconic building.
M. S.
Fascinating place to go when they have one of their rare open events.
Awful soulless concrete monstrosity to work in.
R. N.
The view of the city is great. It's the only high place in the area you can get the view of central.
G. G.
Great views
C. G.

It's the BT Tower. What can you say. A icon of London and a landmark that can be seen for miles around. Unfortunately you cannot go to the revolving dining room at the top anymore.
D. K.
Great 🗼

What an amazing example of construction
O. P.
The BT Tower, despite being somehow outdated from the architectural standpoint, remains iconic within the London landmark. Despite its resolving restaurant and impressive height, I feel compelled to highlight the tower display or the infoband, for its social role, not just for announcing the births of princes and princess. Rather, it is for other more important messages displayed across the City such as those of encouragement and gratitude, dedicated to NHS frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Well done! Now, the infoband occupies the 36th and 37th floors and is made up of 529,750 LEDs (that’s right!) that are arranged in 177 vertical strips!
A. O.
Closed to public unfortunately 😏
