Albany funerals was chosen to arrange the funeral of my husband, and following that a Memorial Service two years later with over 160 people attending. Every detail was arranged down to perfection with constant liaison and reassurance. Jo was professional, understanding, and efficient in making sure all our requests were carried out down to the finest detail. Each stage of events was dealt with sympathy and understanding, including liaison with the Church, order of service, hymns, flowers, photos and slides, then following that the arrangement of the Wake and Catering. Jo took the pressure and worry away, and went above and beyond to make sure the days were perfect and ran smoothly, fulfilling the wishes of my husbands instructions of what he wanted at his funeral! I can not recommend this company highly enough. Thank you Jo and all your team for everything you did, I am truly grateful. Veronica Knight

Albany funerals we so helpful from the first phone call. We wanted to have the funeral for our son as soon as possible and many other funeral houses were very unhelpful but Albany pulled out all the stops and gave us a funeral that was perfect. We had looked into using Co-op funerals but were very disappointed with the restrictions and constant talk of money. Albany does everything and even more than it promises to. I have nothing but high praise for they way Matthew and his colleagues professionally and sensitively performed their duties to give my mum Barbara the send off she deserved. I managed with their help and their great patience to have the funeral I wanted for my mum. Nothing was too much trouble even when I kept changing my mind. I was so impressed with the way Albany Funerals dealt with the arrangements for the funeral of my mother. From the moment they arrived on the day she died and the care and compassion they showed not only me, but also my mother. They dealt with everything with grace, style and dignity. There were no rushed conversations, no feeling as though you needed to hurry with the arrangements. Everything was exactly as we needed it to be. Suggestions were made as to the content of the service without being pushy and celebrants suggested who were just perfect in every way. The personal touch of having the person that you first meet following the death being the last person you see at the end of the service gives the personal touch. Thank you Jim. When my husband suddenly and unexpectedly died in November, I was at a loss of where to turn. I was recommended Albany by a couple of friends, a choice I never regretted. From the first meeting I had with Angela, I felt at ease that they were the best choice to look after my husband and take him on his final journey. Angela was so kind, compassionate, and understanding. Over a cup of tea, she asked questions about my husband and the sort of service I wanted for him. She recommended a celebrant who was perfect. The service was spot on and all I could have hoped for to give my husband the send-off he deserved in the difficult times due to the lockdown restrictions. On the day, Matthew and his team performed their duties with dignity and discretion. Earlier this year I had the sadly lost my mum, a close friend recommended Albany funerals. I can not pass on this recommendation with enough credit, they were very accommodating, and met our every need. I received numerous comments on how well the service and day proceeded. this is a genuine feedback.Albany have recently looked after my beloved wife of 50 years.they were really understanding at such a difficult time and provided everything needed even letting the coffin bearers wear bright ties rather than the usual black !! ther pricing was honest without any pressure to buy extras.use them rather than the big countrywide firms who only seem interested in your money without any sympathy.today Jim came down to my house to arrange the ashes return and spent a long time showing me various items including one they did not usually supply. this is another example of how caring they are to help people through such a difficult time

I lost my husband just on a year ago, and at that time, the care and compassion shown by Matthew and his team can never be given high enough praise, especially as it was a time of great sorrow for me after 20 years together. The dignity and respect shown to both me and my late Eric was without doubt of the highest. Eric was given the funeral he wanted - very small, private and intimate - in the Albany Chapel of Rest. In September 2018, Albany held their "Wall of Remembrance" event at a local village hall, and that was very poignant for me as it was 6 months to the day of Eric's passing. Almost on the 1st anniversary of Eric's death, I will be attending my first Coffee Morning at Albany. These events show they care about not only lost loved ones, but also those left behind, and help them cope with the loss. I was lucky to find such wonderful people to help me.Thank you again to Matthew and team, I will never forget your kindness.

I the last 3 months, sadly we have had to call on the services of Albany. The team are amazing, I think service like this is hard to come by in this modern corporate world. To have this family run business able to provide you with this level of contact and personalisation was a refreshing change. They where always at the end of the phone to answer questions and explain the processes and legal jargon. I never had to chase them, call backs were never more than a few minutes, with an apology and an explanation at to why the call was not answered immediately. You get to know all the staff on a first name basis and you can see that it is so important to them you get to send off your loved one in the manor you desired. I will no doubt be taking them up on there remembrance and celebration events. Will only use Albany from this point on.

Before we had to arrange the funeral for my dad we found it really difficult to know who we could trust with arranging his funeral. I had a few recommendations for Albany and we couldn’t have been more happy with his day. Every aspect of organising the funeral, the perfect celebrant choice and aftercare was faultless and I would be confident to recommend them to anyone.
