What a fantastic company. The whole process from order to delivery was seamless and I was kept up to date at all points. John Ryan even gave expert advice on what bed would be best suited to me and boy were they right. I have never had such a good nights sleep in my life and my only regret is not discovering this company sooner. The price was very reasonable especially considering the quality of the bed. For the same money I could have bought from mainstream vendors but their beds were not a patch on the bed I got. They also gave me guidance on how to look after the bed with information I did not know. For example leaving the mattress open to air for 24 to 48 hours before using and other very helpful tips. The delivery company they used was also first class with polite and helpful driver and assistant. I cannot praise this company highly enough.

I am very happy with the King-size Artisan Naturals mattress I ordered. After just over two months, I can say it is exactly what I was looking for to replace my outgoing thirteen year old single mattress. The quality of the mattress is fantastic, even down to the small details like the precise and tidy stitching or sturdy handles; which on a king-size, you will definitely be using! In terms of choosing a mattress, you do have to take a small gamble as you don't have any way to test it before committing but using the resources available on the website and speaking to the staff after you start your order, you can definitely make an informed decision on which mattress you want. Delivery was straight-forward too, even with it needing to be delivered to a completely different address due to moving house prior to receiving the mattress. It was great that the old mattress I was using could be taken away and disposed of in an environmentally friendly way too. After just over two months with my new mattress, I know it was the right choice and haven't felt it needed any time to settle in as it has been wonderfully comfortable every time I have slept on it. Overall, an excellent experience all round and I will gladly suggest John Ryan by Design to anyone who might be looking for a new mattress!

I was nervous about buying on-line, with no opportunity to try out, but I had several conversations with staff before making the order, and they were all very helpful. The John Ryan website is also very informative. I was keen to have good motion isolation, as my wife fidgets, so we went for the zip and link option. The mattresses are deep and heavy, so, as well as providing good motion isolation, the zip and link option makes them easier to turn. I would think turning a normal king size mattress must be quite difficult. The bed and mattress arrived ahead of time, all in perfect condition. We have had the bed for a couple of months now. It is extremely comfortable and luxurious. For us, medium tension is just right, firm enough, but you also sink in a little bit to give that touch of luxury. Overall, we could not be more pleased and we would thoroughly recommend John Ryan. They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for!

Can't say enough good things about this company. They deserve their excellent reviews and reputation. We chose an Artisan bespoke mattress and gave it a try. Delivery was super prompt. Although well made and substantial, unfortunately we just didn't get on with the mattress. Return to John Ryan was as painless as purchase and delivery, 100% brilliant. Fully refunded. It should not be underestimated what a quality mattress can do for you. Looking at the different types of mattresses on offer was confusing, the price ranged from affordable to eye watering and the thought of buying online without being able to 'test' it was daunting. I then found John Ryan by Design and called them. A discussion about our sleeping habits, health needs and requirements led to a recommendation of the Origins Pocket 1500 Mattress King Size, Medium (1500 spring). Wow they got out our needs spot on. It was one of their cheaper mattresses, but the quality and comfort is outstanding. John Ryan recommends trying the mattress for a month before considering returning it. After just one night we made the decision, it was staying. It is extremely comfortable, feels luxurious and expensive and looks like it will last for a very long time. Their customer service, no quibble returns policy and quality products make it a no brainer

Fantastic bed and superb service with friendly staff from a company. The bed I ordered was to soft for me, I phoned John Ryan and within two minutes a firmer bed was ordered. It’s the best sleep I’ve had in years for my wife and I. (We ordered a Split Super King medium/firm.) A company which understands the customer experience and service! Highly recommended!

The service from Ian at John Ryan felt personalised and was first class. Ian answered my numerous questions patiently without referring me to an online Q&A. The advice on which would be the most suitable mattress for myself and my husband was practical no nonsense. It was reassuring to receive follow up calls 'after' the order had been placed. Delivery of the mattress was prompt and very well co-ordinated. We both love the mattress for the quality and comfort and natural materials. I bought my King size Artisan naturals mattress a month ago. It's amazing.The mattress is so comfortable,I have gone from being up in the night with aches and pains to sleeping the whole night through. I was pretty much sure that I had bought the right mattress because I'd read everything on the website about other mattresses and the composition. So, I ordered and crossed my fingers.I need not have worried ,a lady called me from the company almost immediately to check with me that I had made the right purchase. The company also kept me in touch with lead times and the delivery drivers were on time, polite and helpful.

We came across John Ryan when we were thinking of replacing our old mattress and were tempted by a promotion by Premier Inn. We found a very helpful review by John Ryan on their website which drew attention to possible shortcomings with the hotel type mattress. This put us on to John Ryan’s own beds. Their website and advice was extremely clear and helpful and their mattresses very reasonably priced. The purchase process was quite easy although a telephone conversation/payment was required as their system didn’t seem to cope with the new banking verification procedures. That didn’t particularly matter as the telephone conversation was friendly and helpful. Delivery and notification of delivery was good. The mattress is really good and just what we had hoped for.

I prefer a medium support mattress, and my husband prefers firmer support. So it's always tricky to find something that works for both of us. I dont like memory foam, too hot, wanted something breathable. After much deliberation we ordered the Origins zip link king size, 1500 one side and 2000 the other. It's perfect. Its not too soft for me or too hard for him. At last, we are both happy. The quality is excellent, the customer service and email response very quick (thanks Michaela), can't fault them.
