Good facilities. Everything quite visible from the front portion. Great connectivity offcourse. Free buses just start from the entry. Quite loaded when we visited during Easter.

They have sorted out the toilets. Now free as they should be. Good to have a water bottle refilling station too. They have staff scanning tickets to keep traffic moving and help get you to your train. Big improvements made that encourage train use.

Lovely venue and exceptionally clean; in fact I'm rather impressed. Staff are professional but approachable and that's a good balance. Cost wise eeeek rather on the pricey side but no different to any other train station establishment that hikes prices up. Considering they offer a great service and are clearly proud of their housekeeping and decor I didn't mind to much about the cost. They serve maltsmiths so us fellow IPA drinkers are catered for. Hooooray. Great atmosphere and everything feels like it's managed well.

Not enough Parking for Cars. Same entrance for Taxis Parivate Hire and Cars. Always busy and traffic jam. Only 10 minutes free for pick and dropp but other facilities are good apart from Parking

The glasses and glass bottles smelled like mould. It felt unsanitary to drink

Back after a long time. Noticed some renovations. Less crowded. Good implementation of social distancing measures. New one way directions in place. Not all stores open. Could not find a trash bin!!

I just wanted to compliment the conductor of my train to Birmingham New street today(19/12/21 - 12.27) what a great cheerful journey thanks to his beautiful announcements. 5 stars to this conductor! A Christmas bonus is deserved 🎄😂✨

Fantastic friendly staff , nice welcoming cozy bar , but the prices are ridiculous !! £7 for a pint , it isn’t London , Jesus wept !!!!

It’s a very convenient place. You have a wide variety of food options, restaurants and shops. However, sometimes it’s busy so make sure you come early to buy the things you need.
I’ve never encountered a problem with my trips. Everything was scheduled on time. But there are few issues I wish they get addressed.
1. There are no bins.
2. The seats are really small in number in comparison to the size of the travelers.
3. More toilets please.

Great place to have a meal while waiting for your train

Ben our server was very friendly and the food was lovely

Quality of food no better than any Wetherspoon's. Just a complete rip off because of the location.

Departure board is confusing. Too big perhaps. It is a really big station. You could spend half your day in this station alome in Manchester due to many shops around. Cleanliness is ok.

Credit card payment require OTP it will be better if no need for OTP

A great train station with plenty of restaurants and cafes to go to while waiting for your train; Costa, Carluccio's, TGIF, etc.

Great speed of delivery and just what we needed

Kayleigh was very polite and courteous.

I just wanted to compliment the street cleaners around Piccadilly train station..
There wasn't one bit of litter to be seen and staff were walking around, brush and shovel at the ready.
These guys do a fantastic job, but don't get enough recognition from the public.
It makes a massive difference when the streets are so clean.

Fantastic staff, very welcoming

I was walking an old lady who was blind to a train on platform 5. It was a cross country train. I helped her up the step onto the train. With her half way in the train door automatically closed on her knocking her to the ground where she now lay. A staff member ambled over. I asked the staff member for help. The lady eho was blind said she was fine but i thought she was in shock having just been knocked off a train by the train door and was not fine. I had my own train to catch on a different platform. I asked the staff member for help and she refused to help. If i had been knocked from a train and fallen to the ground and not able to see then i would seek reassurance. I am deeply disappointed by the staff member and the lack of help from another staff member at the barrier. The station itself is nice but the service today was despicable

Indeed, MPS is the heart of Manchester's economy activities, flooded with hotels, retail stores, offices, bars, pubs and night clubs, restaurants, bus 🚉 , tram 🚉, train 🚉 , supermarkets..... One stop location, multiple business ventures!

Huge thank you to Thomas and his team who helped me with my bag, not only between platforms but onto my connecting train on 17/01/19. It was unexpected and very much appreciated! Hope the team realise how a simple thing like that made such a difference to my journey that day. Just hope this feedback reaches them as the only other contact for feedback seems to be regarding complaints these days. So this should be a nice change. Must say the toilets were also exceptionally clean that day ☺️ Keep up the good work!
J. S.
Very clean and shiny. Lots of shops and eateries. Clean toilets. Balcony. Clear sign posts around the station making it easy to navigate. And although it was busy, still plenty of room to manoeuvre. Staff are friendly, welcoming and informative.
Beautiful sculptured and painted pillars on the platforms amid the modern station waiting departure area. Both lifts and escalators near the taxi and car drop off area.

Good but expensive

Clean professional station, helpful staff but the tickets are too expensive

Stopped for a pint of moretti. Lovely staff and nice and tidy place

Reasonable environment but shocking that passengers are charged to use toilet.Does not happen at airport.
Have now seen sense and toilets free.Well done for changing.

Good selection of coffee shops and a Sainsburys. Easy to find train and collect tickets. I like to purchase sandwich from Greggs outside (as much more reasonable than the sandwiches on offer in the station) but always quite busy! Station always very busy and some of the people around the station best to be wary of (like any train station!)
C. G.
Enjoyed as refreshing stop
P. T.
Great coffee

That are good shops and facilities in the main foyer including seating if your train happens to be late. Keep dry and away from wind and rain. There plenty of screens advising of departure and arrivals.
Manchester Piccadilly one of the major train commute hubs in the city.
S. K.
Generally an alright station. Could do with a bit of an upgrade as it's lacking capacity and gets really busy at peak times. There are a good selection of shops. Be warned, the staff at platform 13/14 will shout at you should you dare cross the 'red line'...
R. W.
1st time using this station. It was huge but great shops and restaurant places. Lots of information boards to see. Its a 20p coin for the toilets and there is a change machine if u dont have 1. The trams run to the station but had never been before and ended up walking to the hotel. Suppose i could of asked for help but didnt lol
N. C.
Decent enough station. Staff could be a bit more knowledgeable though. I had to get a connection to Stockport and I was delayed from Preston to Manchester, and staff had no idea of times and platform etc. Clean place though. I've been in worse stations.
H. M.
It’s a nice station, but why the hell are there hardly any bins? You find yourself having to leave your rubbish on seats because you don’t want to put used coffee cups in your bag incase some of it spills. I know that sounds like first world problems, but it’s true!
U. U.
Pleasant station with clear trains information and directions, lots of seating, clean toilets and some food outlets. Shame there is no rubbish bins around at all.
İ. T. G.
Food court has wide enough variety. Signposting is good for most of the time. However, lifts are hard to find for some platforms. Signposts are weak sometimes.
S. L.
Called into the station earlier today to pick up tickets for a forthcoming trip to London. We were given help to retrieve the the tickets by a male member of staff by the name of Kurty (Curty). What an absolutely lovely guy, the epitome of Customer service. He was so helpful, chatty and informative. I mentioned to him about the tribute to WW1 soldiers outside the station entrance and he took us to platform 10 to show us the the small monument there. We had a chat about local pubs, then shook hands and left. Hope we see him again when we return to catch our train.

Ben was fantastic 👏🏾

Ben was great!

I live in Manchester use this station all the time. Got to say one employee (Scott) lovely lad 5*s for customer service and lovely manners. Usually see him at platform 14. Needs a pay rise! Absolute G my boyfriend agrees 😂💯

Great
S. R.
It is an impressive and functional central station, but it does not offer secure or dry cycle storage which ought to be a standard.
A.
So far as train stations go, Manchester is nice. Large place with really good facilities. Lots of options for food/drink and conveniently located. Everywhere is well signposted so it's easy to get to the metro, buses and taxis
D. M.
I will give this train station 5 out of 5. First of, this train station has a KFC in it. I am from Chorley, if you want KFC when at Chorley train station. you have to leave the train station, then walk 5 minutes down the road. Which means I get soaked on, because I never remember to bring my umbrella for when it is due to rain. I regret buying that umbrella, just a waste of cash. Piccadilly train station is close to the town centre, just a 5-10 minute walk. Which is great if say you want to apply for a job in Manchester to get out of the small town you currently live/work in. Manchester Piccadilly train station have a nice cafe upstairs. If you get a seat upstairs, you get to watch all the busy people walk along, doing their thang. Also if you was brave, it would be a great preaching spot, so many people by to preach to. At this railway station, you can get beer or 10. Obviously singing and chanting football songs is not as fun when you are sober, so its much better to annoy every single person on the train when drunk so stuck up on beer before you get on the train. Otherwise those drunken lets all have a sing song people, might realise that they are being annoying and disruptive to everyone.
Edit, this train station no longer has a kfc. Colonel Sanders has forsaken the train station

One of the best stations on the UK rail network. Large, updated with modern design that creates an airport like experience.
A network rail run station, trains are operated by Virgin Trains, Arriva, Northern and Transpennine to all over the UK.
Frequent trains to Manchester airport from just 15 mins.
Wide range of shops and food outlets, though a bar selling real ales/craft ales would be improvement!
The Virgin Trains 1st Class lounge provides a calm first floor area overlooking the station with complimentary hot/cold drinks and snacks-the lounge dragons keep stringent guard though any valid 1st class Virgin Trains ticket should be accepted.
Try the Piccadilly Tap for real ale/craft beer if you're looking for that and have a spare 30 mins-4 mins from the main entrance.

Let's test the power of Facebook.
Due to a heavy traffic on the 11th of october in the morning, my sister and brother in law missed their train from Picadilly. A woman, saw that they didn't speak English, she helped them to get the next train, took them to the train when it was time, spoke to the ticket inspector and he told them where to get off. A man also let my sister borrow his phone, so she was able to let us know what had happened. My sister and brother in law have reached their destination 👏👏
If you are those people, I want to say a massive thank you. You have been extremely kind. Thank you, thank you, thank you xxx
Hope this message reach them!!

A lovely gentleman working helped us find our platform, walked us there and even came back found us on the train and showed us the route on his phone with time we would be arriving. Superb service. Thurs. 29th, Aug.

I live In Liverpool and often get the train down here. Definitely needs stoppers to Liverpool and some way of getting there better. 2 trains a hour on a Sunday which sucks because it is my only free day. Love the class 319 from there but only on a weekday? Would rather go to Oxford road because it's not busy, it's closer to better things (uni, hospital and busses to Trafford centre) also a VERY busy station when a busy train arrives (every 5 seconds) and such a messy timetable! Look at the timetable and find:
London Euston plat, 6
Buxton plat 4
Liverpool lime street plat 14
Nottingham plat 13
Like just tell me properly!
Looking at a departure board like the size of a finger with like 1000000 departures and platforms it is not neat and therefore it makes you fail miserably at going to the right platform! Departure board said northern to Liverpool platform 13 so I get on the train and end up in Blackpool! Awful and too cramped. Another reason why I pick ockie road is because it has a extra 2 stoppers a hour making it easier and more trains there! If you come from Liverpool, Scotland, southport, Blackpool, Nottingham or Scarborough I say you should go to Oxford road!!

The train station used to be a complete dump up until around 5 years ago. However, I like it a lot better following the refurbishment

(Translated) I leave Liverpool to London Euston on the 3:50 am train via avanti west coast. The trip says that it has a connection to the liverpool bus manchester piccadilly london euston. That bus ticket is included in the fare or must be paid by one. I ask because there is an alert when looking for such a connection and I don't know if the distance for the transfer from where you arrive to take the other train to London Euston at that time is far away.
