All of the lovely staff at Ian Watts genuinely care, and at a time when kindness, understanding and a good service is so important we found them to be absolutely faultless. From the moment we had to make the difficult step into their offices we found everyone so welcoming and kind. Because of delays at the hospital we had multiple hurdles to face but Ben was brilliant and helped us so much to get everything on track. On the day of the funeral everyone involved was so respectful and dignified and they helped make the service truly beautiful. Since the funeral, they have been in contact several times to see how we are and even sent a lovely message on what would have been my Dad's birthday. It is these lovely touches that make us, as a family, so glad we chose them to take care of my dear Dad and we will be forever grateful to them for everything they did. Really cannot recommend them highly enough

Ian Watts & Sons where a great team. Always helpful, very accommodating anytime of the day and had an exceptional caring service. Had delays at the hospital which Ben, Tara & Jo helped address to enable us to get my Dad transferred into their care. Fully supported through all stages and the setting they have felt very relaxing with a home from home feel to it. You never felt rushed when you were there. My Dad was treated with the upmost respect and care. Tara gave my Dad the final farewell that he deserved and all the Team supported us on the day. Really cannot recommend them highly enough.

Nothing was to much trouble, we never felt rushed or pushed in to a decision and we were given enough time and information to make the difficult decisions. They added lots of personal touches and treated mum with outstanding care and respect. As a family we felt supported throughout. Ben and Joanne were outstanding and they actually made us feel like mum was someone they also knew in the way they spoke and the care they took. Nothing was to much trouble and their service allowed us to give mum the final farewell she deserved.

Ian watts & son Caldicot recently carried out the funeral of a very close family member. The way this funeral was to be carried out was slightly unusual and very important to us . Ben who is in charge at Caldicot was quite incredible , he was sensitive, caring, and extremely professional. He immediately put my husband and I at ease . The consummate professional. The lovely Tara who is the Celebrant at Caldicot was amazing , a really lovely young lady who took so much trouble to get the reading absolutely right for us . She is a star . At 29 I could never have predicted that I'd have to arrange a funeral for my beloved mum. I didn't know where to even begin. Like most people I took to the internet to have a look at directors in my area and to read reviews, if there were any. From the minute I stepped foot in Ian Watts & Son I was treated with such kindness and respect. They kept me up to date when transferring mum into their care and made sure all mine and my mums wishes were met. I had jewellery made, which they arranged and made it as pain free as possible for me. Mum wasn't a religious lady so we went with Ian Watts & Son Funeral Celebrant Tara, who did a fantastic job. I'd highly recommend her services too. So many people commented on what a wonderful service my mum had, it was tailored to be all about her life, as it should be. Mums pink coffin was above and beyond my expectations too. My Dad was so blown away that he has expressed when his time comes he would also want to be in their care. Not only did we have to deal with our beloved mum dying but we were under pressure due to the lockdown for Covid in March I was blown away with the level of support , generosity and kindness at such a difficult time . I also currently live in Dubai and needed to get back before they locked down . I can not articulate the stress on top of the grief . Jo was amazing . Did everything I literally only had to focus on mum . Ben was so professional and kind and promised to look after mum post the move from hospital to chapel of rest. And Ian was such a gentleman on the day , even opening my car door for me ! My husband died very suddenly in April 2018. It has taken me until now to be able to put into words the way I felt from the minute I met Jo Hume. I had no previous experience of organising a funeral. My husband had already chosen Ian Watts and son and left clear instruction's about how his funeral should be. Jo came to my home and made all of his wishes a reality and a few more besides. It is not appropriate to call a funeral things like wonderful. But it was so amazing that it helped me to move on. Everything the venue, music, priest, readers,flowers were amazing and exactly what Edwin would have wanted. Everyone who attended was overwhelmed by the day and said they had never been to a funeral of that standard. Carried out with.such love respect and dignity. I felt like I was held throughout those days and the support goes on. With a service at Christmas and recent bereavement coffee morning offering guidance from cruise. I will never forget what Ian Watts and son and Jo did for me and my family at that terrible time.

Even though having never used Ian Watts & Son in a professional capacity Jo Hume is a very dear friend of mine (and of my mother) and I know her to be a very kind and caring person. When my mother passed away on the 23rd June it was a very easy decision for myself and my sisters to ask Jo and Martin to organise her funeral. What will stay in my mind is the kindness and compassion shown not only to my family at a terrible time in our lives, but most importantly the respect shown to my mother. Nothing was too much trouble and I believe that the personal touch is what makes Jo & Martin exceptional in what they do. My mother adored owls and they went the extra mile of providing us with owl brooches / badges and even wore them themselves in a mark of respect to my mother. The respect that Martin showed to my mother and my family was incredible, the family car picked up myself and my sisters at three separate locations and on each stop Martin walked in front of the hearse and even stopped outside my mothers home for a couple of minutes for us. Not once did we feel that we were rushed and indeed at the crematorium he advised us we could stay as long as we needed to. Jo arranged, with our agreement, for Preben Anderson to carry out the service, who was also exceptional. It was a beautiful service made even more special to us in that he made it all about my mother and her relationship with us, her family. He also allowed the congregation time to listen in full to our chosen music so that everyone could appreciate the words and even gave some facts about owls that were totally in keeping with the respect he also showed to my mother. In fact everyone we spoke to afterwards said that it was a lovely service. Whilst I appreciate that it must have been difficult for Jo as she cared deeply for my mother, she was professional at all times. From the moment that she took my mother into her care I knew she would be in safe hands. Jo also did a couple of readings for us in the service which were done with poise and elegance. I truly believe that my mother would be so proud of us for the service we gave her and we could not have done that without Jo and Martin. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ian Watts & Son to anyone who finds themselves in the unfortunate event of having to arrange a funeral.

Following the sad loss of my mother over the Christmas period we contacted Ian Watts &son at Caldicot. This proved to be the best decision we could have made at this awful time for my family. The whole experience of losing some close to you, suddenly and unexpectedly is a test for any person. I was totally gob smacked by the trauma. So arranging funerals can be the last thing on anyone's mind when faced with this type of trauma. We went to one funeral directors and they wanted to charge nearly £7500 for a very basic funeral. We were directed to Ian Watts and sons where the cost was over half the price. Jo is a fantastic person, who lovingly takes pride in her job, she's constantly reassuring.
