M. C.What a lovely venue. Good facilities. Great stage, super little balcony giving a cracking view of the stage. Went to watch & photograph a band tonight called Cranberry Flick. They were really good, bit of blues, rock & roll and lots of Christmas hits. You can't beat live music.

Lovely staff, clean toilets and good car parks.

Staff are friendly and well organised.
The seating seems very crammed together unfortunately. I am 6'2 and my knees were hitting the chair in front of me. We also found we were sat shoulder to shoulder to the people in the seats next to us.
There are large men's and women's toilets available so there wasn't much of a queue for either during the interval & afterwards.

D. H.Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. I didn't even know this place existed, and thats coming from a dedicated theatre goer. The cast are amateur but you wouldn't know it, the scenery, bar and the well furnished theatre is great. There is plenty of parking near by and you will not be disappointed by the performance and the price of the tickets. Have a gamble and take a really good night out at this fantastic venue

J. R.Attended a concert of Pirates of Penzance as a friend was in the chorus. What a super venue. Bar and coffee bar available prior to performance was comfortable and well stocked prices were phenomenal. The theatre lends itself to small productions not sure how many it seats but it was comfortable and had everything needed for an enjoyable show. Will certainly return and parking could not have been easier I saw at least 2 car parks within a couple of minutes walk of the theatre.

B.Went for the first time last night to see the pantomime 'Beauty and the beast'. It was great! We all had a fab evening. Not great for people with mobility issues though.
K. F.Lovely little theatre offering a range of amateur shows throughout the year. The theatre is accessible clean and fairly modern. You are able to purchase basic snacks and drinks from the little cafe during show times. Tiered seating means that you are able to see the shows clearly.
R. E.A great little theatre. I've performed there a couple or three times. This was my first time in the audience. Excellent tiered seating, you'll always have an unrestricted view. The temperature control in the auditorium could be a little better. Other than that, lovely!
T. D.Good theatre. Great productions, don't hang around if you intend booking, as most shows sell out fairly quickly. A definite asset to Long Eaton, beats having to go to Nottingham or Derby for stage entertainment! Well priced tickets. Saturday coffee morning worth a visit, too.

A. S.This place goes from strength to strength. Now it has a lovely new entrance foyer, bar, toilets. The seating isn't cramped. You can see wherever you sit in the house. Entertainment very varied caters for most tastes. Parking easily available on nearby carparks usually free for evening performances. Tickets available for most shows online. Very good website.
C. T.A great little community theatre in Long Eaton, with productions on nearly every week. It's a really welcoming, community atmosphere, with a lovely new foyer and basic bar. It's great to support local theatre groups which perform there regularly. I particularly like the tradition of getting an ice cream in the interval, since they're only £1!

Recently upgraded and the design is amazing, I can't wait until the summer months when the new outdoor area can be utilised fully during the intervals.

A. G.A lovely local amateur theatre which has gotten a great make-over recently and now offers a pretty bar area.
For visitors: There is parking nearby which is free in the evening. Be sure to order your interval drinks at the bar to speed up the process. But since there's usually not too many people you will get to the bar fairly quickly anyway.
For amateur companies: There are four purpose built changing rooms back-stage (three smaller ones with space for about 5 people each and a big one for about 15). In the wings and back-stage there is some space available for props and set pieces but it can be quite a tight squeeze. The stage is spacious and suitable for amateur productions. Unfortunately the theatre is missing an orchestra pit so the band will be located in front of the raised stage. I have also seen a production recently where the band was in a side room and the MD projected on a screen in the back of the auditorium.
J. A.Wow! lived in Sawley for 16 years driven past the place countless times but never been in until Saturday evening and it's brilliant. From being greated at the door by very polite gentleman in suit and bow tie to the little bar area and facilities were great. The play itself was brilliant had me gripped from beginning to end while the seats were comfortable enough the legroom was better than other similar venues I've been to. Been to Derby and Nottingham theatres msny times but this is my new favorite with the added bonus of 10 minutes from home with free (after 6pm) parking across the road and very reasonable prices inside we can't wait to come back. Only regret is we'd not been before lol😀

j. k.A great little theatre with around 130 seats. Perfect for watching small stage shows with up and coming actors. Very reasonably priced with a small bar too.

J. P.Quite recently modernised this is a great little local theatre with a busy list of bookings. Seating about180 in comfort the stage is bigger than you might expect and there are 4 good sized dressing rooms above the stage area. This does mean plenty of exercise in a week's run! Cosy foyer and a reasonably priced bar complete the package.
D. J.The Duchess Theatre puts on productions in conjunction with several local performance groups and over the years I've seen some outstanding performances... Two of my favourites have been 'Little Shop Of Horrors' and 'Spamalot'. They were really well performed and made us laugh out loud, the performers were every bit as good as those in the West End.
The Duchess Theatre itself has been recently refurbished and now has a swanky new foyer and bar area, which sells drinks at a fair price - a boon for during performance intervals.
It's well worth a visit, it's great value for money... All in all, it's a lovely little theatre in the heart of Long Eaton that puts on superb shows at a decent price.
A. D.Superb performance from KristianThomas company of Evita. Fantastic show, singing and dancing from all the company including the youth company. Great set and lightning as well. Only drawback was if you're seated in the back row and you're tall sometimes the lights get in the way

O. L.Went to the Duchess Theatre Monday to see the musical Grease, brilliant performance by all involved. A small but cosy theatre with an excellent bar and coffee counter,parking is across the road but a bit limited.
D. S.Excellent venue for entertaining shows. Thoroughly enjoyed the Young Performers' performance of Dick Whittington. Venue has cafe and toilets in new refurbishment. Parking is in local Council car parks adjacent and opposite the theatre.
d. h.This is everything a community theatre should be. Warm, friendly and entertaining. The totally voluntary staff bring the place to life to showcase the best of local am dram societies. Quite simply put. Go and enjoy it.
