I attended a 2 day course at this venue. It makes a great change from the usual corporate venues, it is very light and airy with a great selection of local art adorning the walls. It’s easy to get to and staff are very friendly and accommodating. One thing to mention is the catering is vegan, which won’t be everybodies cup of tea but personally I thought it was really tasty. If you don’t like vegan food there’s lots of other food places within a 5-10 mins walk.

A versatile space in the centre of town for anything and everything. My visit was to participate in a workshop on #CitizenScience, in this case a project monitoring air quality in Nottingham. This is exactly the kind of participatory democracy and activism with a credible outcome that the internet enables. Physical spaces remain incredibly important in an era of online connections, and it's great to have this space as one of those in Nottingham which facilitates it. Aside from that, it's also a cafe attracting a considered and eclectic crowd, and it's one of my regular stops on my Saturday morning caffeine crawl. There is an open kitchen with a wide selection of salads and warm dishes, usually with a decent selection of food alongside non-vegan options. The staff are laid back and the atmosphere is relaxed; there's table service and if the staff do occasionally forget that you've ordered, they also seem to forget whether you've paid or not, so there's a certain balance at work here. The outside area is a peaceful sun trap in summer, and this year's heatwave has seen it well utilised. There's some urban art and a string of microbusinesses in the courtyard and this gives the whole place the boho feel that it clearly cultivates. This is a hidden little gem, and while you won't find the food, the venue or the service Michelen standard, you'll certainly have an authentic, sincere and warm experience which perhaps we need a little more of in life.

Emma was fantastic during my time as her mentee at THiNK. Having first started my company in early 2018 Emma helped me manage my time and resources to the best of my ability. Allowing my business to grow as it became more efficient. Emma also helped me understand the more complex parts of running a company and plan for the future, creating cash flow forecast and understanding threats that might derail my business before they happen. Emma was great and I highly recommend her for anyone running their own business.

The Friday Freelancers sessions (a morning of co-working followed by an utterly delicious lunch) are brilliant. The THiNK space is a lovely place to work, and the people who gathered around the lunch table have been unfailingly diverse and fascinating. The organisers regularly arrange for specialists in various fields of relevance to freelancers and small businesses or startups to be on hand to answer questions. A great way to round off the week!
