A beautiful little station, great coffee and sausage rolls.

Arrived on the steam train, and it's like a pleasant time warp. The train sets the scene. It's comfortable and the unforgettable noises and smells from the steam engine were fantastic. Stepping out of the train on to the platform, this station has been immaculately kept. The decor is authentic and there is a lovely cafe serving tea, coffee and lovely sweet treats. If you Cross the crossing, you can see a display of old Royal Mail vans and the cab of a Royal Mail Networker train , which I used to see going up and down the East Coast Main Line in the 1990's. This is a good place to get off and have a mooch around and have a cup of tea and a slice of cake. A great way to spend a week end.

A brilliant station on the NVR. Lots to see including the tpo carrages involved in the great train robbery. Has a small shop and cafe with tea/coffee and snacks. Toilets also on site. Good for a short walk withe just enough time between trains.

Had a nice trip on a steam train to Peterborough and back and other stops. Pleasantly Surprised that it wasn't busy at all. Very friendly staff. Reasonable price at £12 p.p Not much in the way of scenery on the trip and be aware..there is quite a long tunnel en route!

Very good trip, COVID protocol was good, really good to see 92 squadron running and at 11.50 for a seat not bad value for an hour's ride. Also nice not to have to book a whole compartment like some railways which when on your own gets very expensive.

Fantastic day out the children enjoyed seeing and travelling on Thomas. We all enjoyed looking around the heritage and bygones around the stations as and yard. Overton station especially with the mail themed coaches and memorabilia. Superb refreshments and a proper decent brew at Overton too. Thanks for a great day out and keep up the good work.

We had a lovely trip between Peterborough and Wansford on the Nene Valley Railway. The staff are cheerful and doing a grand job keeping the railway running during covid. 5 stars for all who work there with their happy attitude and big smiles. Thankyou.

Heritage railway station it's best. The only drawback on my visit was a lack of volunteers. This must be s frustration to both organisers and visitors. Also common to all attractions run on this footing. The compromise between affordable and effective. These get it right, even on an off day do to speak a most enjoyable experience. Will visit again and again

Good place to see a few steam trains. We were let down by having a ride on a diesel train. Not told it would be a diesel until it was too late. Apparently the steam train had broken down. We felt that we should have been told what was happening before we got on to the train.

Excellent day out for the family. Nice stations/museums at either end with lots of interesting locomotive related things to look at. The train ride itself was excellent too, slowly chugging, puffing and clickty clacking along the nice scenic route. All the volunteers were very friendly, helpful and very passionate about what they are doing. They all seem to have good knowledge of the subject. Worth every penny of the fare.

One of five stations on the Nene Valley Railway experience...it is a living museum, kept alive since 19th century and is the best preserved steam railway in the country.. in my opinion

A visit to Nene Valley Railway is a lovely day out, especially if you can spend time at all the stops on the way. Overton has a nice station with refreshments and souvenirs on sale and a variety of walks to go around, by lakes and the golf course. Splendid!

A truly lovely, picturesque and quaint little coffee shop to visit. Something different and interesting for children and visitors and on a really nice walking path across Nene Park. Very close to the caravan and camping site, so it is ideal if you are staying here or visiting Ferry Meadows for the day. You can also take the steam train west towards Yarwell and Wansford or take a short trip east into the city via Orton Mere and Peterborough.

Nice little station on the Nene valley railway line. There's an exhibition room with TV screen where historical films are occasionally shown, plus some photo memorabilia and a snack and gift shop. Wanstead is of course the main sightseeing attraction station on NVR of course.
