The barbican is a creative space with an incredible atmosphere thanks to the amazing staff. The classes offer unreal opportunities and give young people a platform to share what they love, creating a sense of inclusion and support. One of Plymouths most treasured hidden gems.

This is such a great little cultural hub on the Barbican! Love the cosy feel of the theatre, the bar was heaving as they had some live music on, plenty of people enjoyed their Thai food (which I have sampled before and liked it) and there is a pretty good selection of drinks. I return here time and time again for any add the above and would highly recommend it!

If you like small alternative theaters in the old style this one is great. With the B Bar and entertainment down stairs its a great place to visit in Plymouth's Historical Barbican

Lovely little theatre with real character. Just saw a great production by Youth Music Theatre UK - amazing energy from a cast of nearly 40 - wonderful singing - huge maturity from a young cast. Look out for some great shows at affordable prices.

This theatre is a hidden treasure. Performances are generally of a high quality. Many are different to the mainstream and niche. The theatre itself is quite small, lending itself to intimate performances. There is a Thai restaurant within the building, further adding to the atmosphere. Often you will find a local musician performing in the bar itself. If you are going to see a show, arrive early as parking is tricky. Many of the spaces are residents only. The Barbican theatre really does support and nurture arts in Plymouth.

Lovely local theatre with a friendly atmosphere. The staff clearly care about the artist and audience experience. Hidden in the historic Plymouth Barbican they frequently also create work that leads the audience through these side streets.

Really good venue with great idea on the noodles menu. Very busy and popular but the good service overcame that. Unfortunately the comedian on the night we went was a struggle for us and we moved on in the interval.

The food a B bar is fantastic. A built in Thai restaurant serves some of the best Thai food in Plymouth. I would heartily recommend the Pad Thai. This combined with a great live music scene makes B bar my favourite gateway in Plymouth.

This was our first visit to this lively and atmospheric little theatre which is part of Plymouth's vibrant waterfront. We heard performances that were part of the Septemberfest. They were all good, but 'Tonight with Donny Stixx' by Philip Ridley performed by William O'Brien and directed by Amy Shaw was a totally riveting one hour play which could have taken its place on any stage in the country. A real tour de force. The theatre itself is welcoming with a nice bar and a noodle bar too. A really great evening. A place which really supports new and up and coming talent. We will be back.
