Great day out for all the family. Reasonable price for tickets and you can ride as many times as you like. Staff all very pleasant, polite and helpful. Cafe is very good and reasonably priced. Outdoor seating in marquees so great for all weather. Dogs are welcome and travel free on the trains. Free car park. The whole site is flat so pram and wheelchair friendly, but not sure you could get into the carriages with one. Highly recommend a visit here if you like steam trains or have young children.

Lovely small heritage railway with friendly staff who weren't too busy to explain to some children how the engine was propelled along the tracks. Gorgeous cakes at reasonable prices. Nice ambience sitting outside in the sunshine.

Visited a couple of times over the years but don’t remember it as being this good! Took our children and they had a great time on Easter Sunday. All volunteer run and the team had pulled out all the stops with two Easter bunnies, lovely tea room, nice plants for affordable prices and a lovely community feel. Shout out to the ticket conductor who was a lot of fun with our children. Thanks for a great time!

Our first visit. A truly delightful experience with such friendly, helpful and welcoming people. For the (very reasonable) price of your ticket, you can ride the train as often as you like. The refreshment arrangements are excellent - the cakes delicious! For engine fans, there is some fascinating engineering to check out. Overall, highly recommended

That's so beautiful and interesting place. You get to know about trains, railway and so on. On my opinion, one of the friendliest and welcoming people work here. The cake I tried in the cafe was delicious and yummy.

A very short run, but you can do it multiple times. We did! Being pulled by a steam locomotive is always a good way to spend an afternoon. Prices reflect the length of the trip. Tea rooms were very good and the service too.

Paid a visit with my school on 12.07.22. The volunteers opened up especially for our school 😁👍we had two classes visit on this particular day and 2 the previous week. Wow, I hadn't been since my child was small and we did the Santa train ( we're talking 20 + years) - oh my! Why haven't we been back? The volunteers are brilliant! So dedicated and enthusiastic. They are so friendly and were brilliant with the children 👏👏👏👍 We had a few rides on the train, were given a tour of the 'garages/sheds' which was very informative of the engines they are currently working on, plus a new carriage, wow the craftsmanship that is shown by all is outstanding 👍 Refreshments are available too 😋
You can't help but be drawn in by the atmosphere 😁 go on, give it a visit 😁👍

Brilliant day. My 2 yr old and 14 year old both loved it. And so did us grown ups. Lovely day out. 9 quid for the four of us to ride the train all day. Train every 30 minutes. Brilliant value for money and lovely staff so friendly and welcoming xxx

Lovely little railway which is well worth the price. Only a short journey but can take as many return trips as you want on a single ticket.
Staff were friendly, welcoming, and clearly cared about what they were doing.
Shop had quite a selection of things to buy and was very reasonable priced as well.

A superb little railway with lovely welcoming staff. It is rather incongruous that a miniature railway is now surrounded by a housing site of a major national housebuilder!! Well worth a visit especially if you have small children as it is a short ride but you can be up close and personal with the little engine and all the railway bits. Wonderful.
