I was anxious about bringing my 3 year old along but the team were incredibly welcoming and my Chiropractor even got her involved which was lovely. She ended up loving it and kept asking when she could go back to assist the doctor!
The hours are extremely flexible to suit your personal situation which is an added bonus around a busy schedule!
Its refreshing to see how much customer satisfaction is at the forefront of this practice!
M. F.Life Effect have been brilliant with my on going back and neck issues. Previous chiropractors have left me feeling pulverised with an everything at once 'all over' approach, which often left me feeling delicate for days. Life Effect, however, have a more targeted and gradual approach, seeing what works and what doesn't and I'm now in a great treatment pattern that works for me. Definitely recommended if you are having muscular skeletal issues.
g. s.I couldn't even walk when I first came through the door here, now a short time later I'm able to chase around after my kids and I have even managed to get back to ice hockey, The amazing staff make coming for treatments easy and there very accommodating for my kids who love seeing the reception girls. Fantastic results all round .
S. B.I cannot recommend Life Effect more highly for helping you to get back to a better place. I was first made aware of first Life Effect after the birth of my son in 2019 as I had been suffering from chronic lower back pain for many years which was only made worse by childbirth. I was reluctant at first that it would help, but after discussions with the team and being adjusted there and then it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made.
I have recently started back due to the trauma of giving birth a second time and can already feel the difference for a second time. Not only do they help with your primary cause of pain, if you have any other concerns or weaknesses they are always more than happy to take a look at those too!
In addition to the chiropractors themselves, the reception staff are second to none and you are always greeted with a warm and friendly smile when you arrive (they even look after the children whilst you are being seen making life even easier!) 😀
B. F.I was struggling with pain in my back, shoulders and hips when I found this practice. Some days the pain was worse than others but on a bad day, simply walking up and down stairs was slow, ponderous and painful.
I went for a free consultation and the problems were quickly identified and a course of treatment discussed for a set period of time.
The treatment plan was comprehensive and very effective. In the early days, I would struggle to walk up the stairs without holding on but now my pain has virtually gone and I am able to move much more freely without the shooting pains or stiffness I used to suffer from.
Once the initial treatment plan was successfully completed, I decided to go on a continued care plan just to maintain my progress and keep things as flexible as possible.
I highly recommend this practice. Everyone is helpful and supportive from the moment you arrive at Reception to the time you leave after your treatment on the table. A full 5, well deserved, stars from me.

A. S.Can’t recommend Life Effect enough! I had gradually got worse and worse five years after having an accident and hip replacement. I started with twice-weekly treatments then went to weekly and now just see them monthly - they have made such a difference to my posture and my ability to walk and exercise more freely. Bear in mind most things cannot be fixed with just one treatment but they have literally changed my life
C. S.I first contacted Life Effect when I put my back out during the first 2020 lock-down. As my usual chiropractor was closed for the duration, I was pleased (and very relieved) to find one that was open and offering emergency treatment. Initially, it all started well with an x-ray of my back (albeit at a fairly substantial cost) with adjustments starting the day after. I was strongly advised to book regular treatments and I subsequently booked a course of 12 sessions. Those continued for about 6 weeks until I went away on holiday. However, my initial relief at finding a working chiropractor started to fade fairly quickly when it became apparent that with each session the time taken manipulating my back got less and less. My final session of 2020 (in early July) barely lasted 5 minutes! Anyway, nearly one year on, I decided to use one of my remaining course bookings for a ‘maintenance’ session. I was told prior that I would need a review before any manipulation took place, which was fine by me. However, in the event, that review consisted of a few minutes chat followed by a cursory prodding of my back, lifting each of my legs and then being told that I needed further sessions – hinting at booking another course! I then moved to the manipulation. That so-called manipulation merely served to re-enforce my previous concerns as it only lasted 3-4 minutes and consisted of a quick push on my lower back followed by pulling on each of my feet followed, once again, by being advised to book more sessions on a regular basis. Bearing in mind I told the girl who did the review that the only problem I’m having is a bit of a stiff back first thing in the morning I’m firmly of the view that the name of the game so far as Life Effect is concerned is to do as little as they can get away with whilst trying to get the patient to sign up for more sessions! On a positive note (other than the fact that the girls on reception are very friendly and welcoming) the best thing for me was having been given a set of exercises by Life Effect to flexibilize and strengthen my lower back. I still do them on a very regular basis and truly believe that it is those (together with the occasional use of an inversion table) that keep my back pains largely at bay. On a final note, I was so disappointed with my last session that I have decided to write-off the remainder of the course I originally booked. If and when I do need to see a chiropractor in the future, I’ll be going back to the one I used before signing up with Life Effect
By way of a follow-up to my original review, Life Effect have since contacted me to apologise for the fact that my experience did not match my expectations and, to their credit, have offered a full refund of the fees I paid to them (which obviously goes a long way to negate me having felt that they are only in it for the money)
P. W.Having received chiropractic treatment over the past 30 something years, through various chiropractic clinics. Life Effects have proven to be the most effective clinic I have used.
I was delighted they use x-rays as well as hands on for the consultation (only one other chiropractor has done this in my treatment), to give me a detailed and informed prognosis and plan of treatment.
The adjustments are targeted and brief but work very well, along side the small exercise plan they put together and send with a video to follow. This has helped to improve the results of the adjustments, requiring less adjustment on subsequent visits.
The staff make you feel at ease from your very first visit (always with the biggest of smiles) and try their hardest to make the appointments fit around you.
I would highly recommend Life Effects Chiropractor Clinic.
L. M.Having had ongoing discomfort in my neck and upper back for several years, which I had written off as just getting older, I was encouraged to go and see someone about this by my wife. Luckily I saw an advertisement for a low cost first consultation with LifeEffect, who were local so went along to get some advice. The consultation uncovered some issues in my neck and back, which the consultant clearly explained and demonstrated on the xrays. I signed up there and then for an initial set of sessions, not just morning chiropractic treatment but also an exercise programme specifically targeted at my condition, which I still continue to do every day (they are simple and non strenuous). Since starting I have had increased mobility in my neck, a much better posture, less frequent headaches and an overall feeling of having more energy. There is a certain positivity to starting a day with a chiropratic adjustment. I continue to go in once a week to ensure I do not slip back into poor body habits and because it makes me feel good.
The team at life effect could not be more supportive and encouraging. From the ever helpful team on the front desk, to Dr Rik who performs my adjustments, to the consultants who manage my progress, they are all both professional and personable. And most of all they make it fun.

They made a real difference to me in the short time I have been going there. Doctor Andy and Doctor Toms have healing hands and I walk with less pain now that I did prior to my adjustments. E. J.I came to life effect after suffering with 3 years of shoulder and back pain that even with going to multiple doctors was not diagnosed or fixed. Turns out I was having problems with my neck that was then transferred to the back. I noticed a difference from day 1. Seeing a chiropractor will not be for everyone but it has definitely helped me loads and now I just go in every few weeks for matinence. I used to have to take pain killers all the time and was even given really strong muscle relaxants from my doctor. I have not needed strong pain killers since starting my treatment and now would only reach for pain relief in a blue moon. I am able to go back to my performing and it doesn't affect my work anymore. I would highly recommend at least the first consultation as it has made a huge difference for me.

I had previously been suffering from back pain after a car crash, which is why I initially went, however there have been some other unexpected benefits such as my knee troubles have also gone and I don't get headaches as often. This may be a coincidence, but I believe that it is from the treatment I have been getting.
g. s.Found out about life effect through a friend as I was in a bad way with my body. I had a really bad limp due to my knee which I was told by my GP there was nothing they could do and my back was as stiff as a plank of wood and twisted like my posture. There were various other issues with most parts of my body and so I went and got a lovely friendly welcome and went through the process for an assessment so to find out what treatment would be the best. Dr Alex explained all aspects of treatment and costs. I had Dr Andy carry out my first adjustment and wow it was amazing how after the adjustment my back was so flexible. The second time I went back, Dr Andy carried out adjustments with my knee and after treatment getting up off the bed I put weight on my leg and my knee did not hurt at all. I now call him the mesia as it's been years since I have walked on my leg with no pain. I have been going there regularly for nearly 2 years now and have been adjusted and felt great again. It is absolutely amazing what they do there and highly recommend them and have done with many people who have all said the same, first class treatment and amazing adjustments to put parts of the body back in place.
The ladies on the front counter are very friendly and a laugh and not forgetting Hannah who has been great to talk to especially about what the body needs and what things are bad for it. I now hardly drink and look at what kind of food I eat and feel so much better in myself and can now move so much better and easier from the adjustments.

S. M.Started care at Life Effect earlier this year, and it was the best investment I have ever made to date. As someone with a spinal fusion following surgery for scoliosis at 16, I was super looked after and the results far surpassed anything I could have wished for at the time. I gained flexibility I didn't even know I could have, have seen a continuous improvement in my alignment and posture and, a super added bonus, my IBS became basically non-existent. I am no longer restricted in so many ways and I honestly wish someone had told me to see a Chiropractor sooner. Loved it so much I now work there haha. Six stars if I could.
