Reviews of Longdown Activity Farm
H. M.
Honestly, it was nice as a one off I don't think I would go again, for the price it wasn't as good as some others I have been to (However I was raised as I farmer's daughter so maybe I have high expectations) for a weekday it was still very busy, play area was manic and trampolines a free for all, could possibly be a little dangerous for smaller kids. Slightly concerned with welfare of some animals, IE no water seemed available for the geese However could of just been a one off! Gift shop was actually really Reasonable, that was a nice surprise!

Lovely morning spent at the farm. Lots to see and do with my 2 year old. Enjoyed the play park a lot and the tractors. I’ve not been here since 1989 on a school trip and was nice to revisit it. I didn’t take note of the animal encounters time slots so missed this, but I will do this next time I visit. It’s a safe place to let your children run around and explore. Lots of places to eat a picnic and there is also a café. A very enjoyable day.
A.
Loved it here. Staff are so friendly and very patient!
The tearoom was really good as well and offered hot food.
The farm shop and chicken shack have so much to offer as well, all at reasonable prices.
E. A. S.
I can say that my daughter has been for the first time, but we got her out with crying! She did enjoy the time here! For sure we will come again! 🥰
A. A.
One of the best farms around Southampton where you can see and feed the animals, enjoy a tractor ride and have a picnic or a meal with the family. My daughter loves it every time we go.
E. L.
Excellent day out, lovely staff, animals well looked after! Got to bottle feed the baby goats, hold a week old chick, stroke the guinea pig and rode on the big bumpy tractor!
s. w.
My little grandson age 3 and I absolutely enjoyed our time at Longdown. He was able to feed the baby calves and goats, held a chicken and stroked a guinea pig. He also loved the tractors even though his feet couldn't quite teach the pedals to move it!
S. R.
Came to buy some new chickens for our daughter and her family. Staff so lovely. Took 3 gorgeous hens home with us. Grandson was a happy boy 🤍🖤🤎
D. L.
Really lovely little farm, you can feed the baby goats and calves which is a brilliant experience for the children, they have a great size play park and picnic area, they offer tractor rides too, all in all a great family day out!
B. H.
We had a great afternoon out at this farm! The 3 adults & 3 kids (ages 4-7) all had a lovely time!
We were lucky to see lots of the incredibly cute baby animals - bunnies, Guinea pigs, chicks, ducklings, piglets and more.
The kids particularly enjoyed the interactive elements of the farm. They held some chicks, stroked guinea pigs and fed some baby goats with bottles. There were no eggs to be collected, but they enjoyed seeing the chickens too.
The various peddle go karts/tractor toys, trampolines and play park equipment for the kids also went down well!
The tractor ride was a favourite for all our group - bumpy and great fun! This is limited to those without any medical conditions where a bumpy ride could cause complications.
We took a packed lunch so I can't comment on the cafe much (though the coffee was nice!), but there are plenty of places to sit and eat (primarily picnic benches).
The toilets were clean enough given it is a farm. I also noted a changing room for larger kids/those with a disability which looked to be clean and in good condition.
There is a farm shop on site (we didn't use this) and some animals can be bought (indeed one of the group came home with a Guinea pig).
We all had a lovely visit and would definitely go back for another in the future!
V. 9.
it was fun and interactive, from the beginning you were involved with the animals and my nephew loved it. The staff were friendly and the information dotted around was informative. Kids seemed to love it, not to mention the go karts and the trampolines.
R. L.
Who says you need to bring kids here ... we didn't and we had a fantastic time!
We absolutely loved it. Had a great time, relaxing and came away feeling great!
The staff were fantastic, helpful and knowledgeable. We felt very welcomed.
They've worked hard to ensure the farm is COVID-SAFE for all and I appreciated this.
Do you know what? We are gonna come back! (This time we may have to bring some children along, but, hey it was fun!)
A. “. M.
Lovely farm with lots to do. Lots of different animal feeding time throughout the day. Free tractor rides! Outdoor play area, slide, swings even trampolines!
C. l.
Absolutely amazing place for young children aswell as adults!!
Took my nearly 2 year old yesterday and she LOVED holding them animals!
Thank you so much for such a lovely and heart warming place
O. O.
Needs to be properly cleaned everywhere and hanging massive cobwebs removed from the cafe and toilet areas. The best was tractor ride, everything else very dated, needs uplift. All animals were stinking. Parking is free, but across of busy road, which is quite dangerous. Won't be returning.
L. H.
Lovely day , lots to do and lovely improvements since I came about 8 years ago! Can't wait to bring my youngest again once he's walking! Lovely picnic area in the park and the tea room sandwiches were delicious!
K.
My family love it here we have been 4 times now. Feeding baby calf's, baby goats, adult goats & the animal enclosure handling guinea pigs & chicks. There really is loads to do here. The staff are amazing so friendly welcoming & happy to answer any questions. The entrance fee is affordable & free parking. We will be back soon 🙂
M. W.
Great place to go with the kids. Farm shop is great and we even bought some chickens to join our flock! Staff were really friendly!
S. K.
Got to hang out with so many animals with so little people. Was nice being a bit quieter and seeing the calves - for real though the animals were well kept and looked healthy, we were in time to feed some goats so check out the site before you go to see what time which feed is happening. The rabbits had given birth recently so if you're there in the next few weeks keep an eye out for the baby rabbits!
N. S. (.
Family fun with activities with goats, guinea pigs, ducks, ducklings, chickens, chicks, and calves. Covid secure & plenty of hand washing facilities as expected for close encounters with farm animals. Nice gift shop and excellent food store with lots of local produce.
S. P.
Love this place. They cater for the little kids so well and the staff are always so friendly. We go quite often and every visit is enjoyable. It does get busy in half terms so worth booking but you will still be able to complete the activities.
C.
Fantastic activity farm, managed to spend the whole day here today, seeing all the animals, going on the tractor ride, feeding the cows, goats and ducks and playing in the park!
Weve been before and we'll go again, our 3 and a half year old loved it, and the staff are excellent too!
C. C.
We took my granddaughter for part of her 2nd birthday treat. They're was so much to do. Seeing all the animals with their babies was great. You can feed them too. There are play areas and picnic areas. You need to book. We had a great day with all the family.
S. M.
My 1st time there with my great grandchildren. They loved it too. Feeding kid goats n then older ones. Handling chick's n rabbits was delightful. Tractor ride had them squealing with laughter when going over bumpy ruts n nearly tossing them from one side of trailer to the other. Seeing all the other farm animals was educational for them being townies.

Fantastic day out with my 1.5yr old. Loads of animals to see, loads of things to entertain adults and children alike. Trampolines, tractor rides, push go carts and much more. Wonderful and well worth the price!!
J. J.
Brilliant day out. Lots to see. The baby loved the animals and the older children the play area and we all enjoyed the tractor although it was very bumpy! We have visited several times before and will be going back again.
z. z.
Lovely farm, fun for whole family with kids. Also we can feed baby goat with bottle, tough little chick and rabbit. Fresh chicken and duck eggs are available in the farm shop. It was a fun trip.
V. V.
Absolutely fantastic. Not sure who had more fun(5 year old son or mummy).the whole day gone fast. Will be back soon.
L. K.
I came to Longdown with my son on a school trip (90 4-5yos). It was brilliant fun and the staff were amazing! Feeding all the baby animals was adorable and the tractor ride was so fun (thank you farmer Holly) and thank you farmer Lisa for taking us around.
L. W.
Went with our family we have a disabled granddaughter and she loved feeding the baby goats and ducks. The staff in with the goats were very helpful and held the goats up so she could feed them. Very good day out.
H. f.
Its a great place that children can experience feeding animals and touching them. The tractor was brilliant very bumpy but fantastic.
E. B.
Lovely little farm. The opportunity to feed baby goats and calves, see piglets and hold chicks was wonderful. Tractor ride is fun and a nice little play area. Take a picnic.
N. F.
We loved it, my little boy is 2 and he had a great time feeding and stroking animals. The play park is lovely with plenty of space for picnics, and there are ride on go carts, mini tractors, and diggers. A great day out, lots to see and do.
R.
Had a really enjoyable afternoon with a 3 year old granddaughter. Perfect for her age group...loved holding the chicks and guinea pigs also feeding the ducks ..bank holiday Saturday
I. T.
Great day here with my little one (17months). He loved the tractors and feeding the animals.
J. M.
A very nice space to spend for kids. There are a lot of animals and activities for kids. The parking is huge. There is enough space for a lot of Cara, and also there is an overflow space. Parking is in the other side of the road. The farm also provides animal interaction activities. A visit to this farm will definitely a good experience for the kids.
T. C.
Such a lovely place, so much to see and do for the children. Great that the children can feed and hold the animals. Fantastic value for money, would definitely recommend.
M. W.
Lovely, friendly (including the animals) plenty for kids to do and plenty of animals for kids and adults alike to interact with. We have been several times and it won't be the last! Ohhh and the farm shop is great 🤤🤤
L. F.
The farm is a lovely day out, I would only recommend visiting in Nice weather because everything is outside. The experiences are good fun, you can bottle feed calves and goats and hold animals, there's endless outdoor activities- tractor ride, kids ride on tractors, crazy golf, large play area and various animals. Highly recommend a visit to the farm shop, theres a nice selection of meat, fruit and veg. My only complaint would be the cafe on site, Staff repeatedly got our order wrong and we had to go up three or three times and it still wasn't corrected. I don't recommend anything from the cafe, the coffee was terrible, the tomato soup tasted like sugar and the pasties and sausage rolls tasted too salty to eat. This was the only thing that let the experience down. Certainly a pack lunch job!
M. N.
Brilliant feeding the animals and looking to for eggs to collect. Would say its only a half of day experience. Kids loved the tractor ride, would say the cafe part is experience, packet of crips £1.20!!!
C. F.
What a great day out, normally I sit at home cooped up ony console my wonderful partner took me out for the day and it was amazing also I must add they have a 9 hole crazy golf and I spoke the guy that created the course and I must say he made up my mind to give a 5 star review they put so much work into all there animals and there facilities are on point too, I don't really know what else to say the worst thing about the whole day was just parking to get in there apart from that hands down it was sublime ... very happy customer 😀
P. g.
Brilliant for children, mums dads and grandparents. Staff are exceptionally kind and and helpful as well as knowledgeable.
D. S.
Great place for everyone to get closer to farm animals and other few more extra things for the kids to do as well...
L. &. S. C.
We love coming here, Our little boy loves the animals and diggers. And you can use bluelight card online too. Would always recommend Longdown to anyone.
v. v.
Good place to go with kids. They will enjoy around the farm animals and feeding them. There's a cafeteria and a park too.
D. Y. J.
It's a grate place for the kids to enjoy as well as adults, with feeding goats, tractor ride and collecting eggs and taking them back to the farm shop, grazy golf and indoor play area as well with a cafe on site also.
A. A.
Great day out and the little one absolutely loved the animal encounter. We'll worth the money. Will definitely be visiting again.
M. K.
An amazing place to visit with kids! There is plenty of activities, in which children may feed and/or encounter various farm animals - goats, calves, ducks, rabbits, chickens, horses, donkeys, pigs and so on. Apart from that, there are lots of play areas like soft play or go karts. There is also plenty of space to chill out and have a picnic. You can easily spend there a whole day.!
E. S.
A really lovely farm. Doing their best to navigate restrictions. The result for us was a mixed experience. Everything felt clean and I was super impressed at the people cleaning every toy tractor after a kid touched it. But there were queues for each thing, and because of people waiting their turn, it meant each experience felt rushed. This is tricky with a 2 year old who takes a while to get used to something: shied away from the calf feeding until she'd seen us do it then got confidence, and wanted another bottle to have a go herself. But that was it, time to wash your hands and leave. This happened at every single feeding/encounter station 🤦 Some of the restrictions felt a bit over the top, like the tractor ride only taking a small number of family groups in a very rigid kind of way. The driver didn't seem empowered to make independent risk based decisions and so one lot went off with one larger family one end, and a dad and baby the other end, with absolutely loads of space left and an enormous queue waiting. We ended up leaving early but we would love to come back when things settle a bit as it's a lovely place, really friendly people, and clearly there's so much more when it's all open.
D. W.
This is a 3.8 rating attraction.
This is a great place if you have young children.
The attraction is reasonable priced. Has a good selection of animals to see and you can make a day of it if you take part in feeding the baby animals.
The site also has an out door park area which is decent, a few large trampolines and an indoor play area to keep the kids occupied. They also have a tea room and serve food but we didn't try any.
They so have a shop on sight selling fresh produce.
I would definitely recommend this place if you have young children.
B. P.
Great farm activity farm for children and adults. Friendly staff, an affordable great day out, would definitely recommend.
J. G.
Kids loved it, wasn't worthy of a full day out, but is good if you want something to do for a few hours.
I. G. L.
29 years old and I still enjoy visiting this place. It is so nice to see how good the staff look after the animals also letting you help them and take part of it.
You can feed the babe goat, touch the Guinea pigs babes, collect eggs from the chicken area or have ride in a tractor. In the exit there is a small shop where you can buy fresh food from the farm.
G. G.
Went for the farm shop which was fantastic. Thought we might go round the farm. . But was pretty booking only
N. T.
Loved this little farm , we had a fabulous morning of interaction with farm animals with lots of hand washing stations for hygiene. The staff are really warming and welcoming and the place is suitable for families or just adults that love animals .
a. w.
We had a lovely day here, the occasional drizzle of rain didn't even bother us(it wasn't muddy). My 3yo son especially liked the 'animal encounter' experience, where he got to hold a chick and a guinea pig, stroke a rabbit and see piglets up close. All of the events were really enjoyable and the animals seemed happy and well kept. A good playground outside with a little soft play frame inside, a lovely cafe/tea room and even a good farm shop on the way out! Staff were quiet, but there if you needed.
K. T.
Very good for value for money. Good staff, mostly friendly. I would go there again as it is ideal for a couple of hours with my toddler ☺️
J. B.
Went for mother's Day so obviously it was very busy but the farm is wonderfully interactive and the animals do seem very well looked after. The children and adults can feed the animals at various times and there is a play park to let of the steam. The farm shop is full of fresh produce and the gift shop has a good variety at brilliant price. The tea room had a good selection and again prices were decent kids food box very impressed. pleased and happy with the day will be going again.
n. r.
Great for children. A bit more educational about 'how milk is made' would be nice. Good friendly staff and loved the handling session. Animals happy. A good day spent for young children.
A. B.
Still a great place to take young children to experience farm animals without too many other distractions.
J. F.
Definitely worth taking younger children here, it's a place you can do in half a day, with enjoying lots off animal feeding. Free parking. Very reasonable price.
M. F.
Amazing place to visit with the kids. Very hands on experience and usually really quiet during the week. Staff are friendly and allow kids of all ages to take part in all activities. Some fun toys and play areas for the kids to use if they want to, and the whole place is small though to get around in a day without feeling like you’ve missed out. All the animals are well looked after too. Cafe is great for cold lunches, but if the weather is good it’s a lovely place for a picnic.
A. C.
Lovely place where you can feed baby goats and cows, love the tractor ride which is very bumpy! Great fun little day out. Food isn't outrageously priced in the cafe shop either
V. F.
We had a great day at the farm.
There was so much to do and see.
We will definitely be returning!
G. P.
Our to-go farm for a day out. Got plenty of things to keep all the children (5, 3, & 1) entertained for a whole day. They love that they can get so hands on with the animals.
D. F.
Good place to spend the day with young children, plenty of hands on activities to interact with animals and go on a tractor ride. The staff are super friendly and helpful as well. Great park area for children as well. Loads of picnic areas indoors and outdoors too. Only reason not five stars is that it's starting to show its age and would like to see what's new coming up to expand and make even better for customers
M. S.
Had a lovely time with our friends seeing and feeding the different farm animals and playing crazy golf.
T. P.
Thogught this farm was OK, but not great. Little run down in places, and quite expensive. Some of the attractions (like the outdoor go karts) are unattended by staff, and some parents seem happy to allow their children free reign to stay on as long as they like. Good range of animals though, and the petting zoo bit is well staffed and good fun.
S. v. d. B.
We had a lovely day here. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff were all friendly. There are loads of animal to interact with although our favourite was feeding the baby goats a bottle of milk. There is also a modest canteen where you can sit inside or out and enjoy a sandwich and a cup of tea. The playground is immense with loads to climb up and slide down. Lastly a great tractor to get the blood pumping.
S. V.
Very beautiful farm with lots of activities, especially fun for younger kids. Our son enjoyed the baby goats (and the feeding), the mini tractors, the chickens and the bunnies the most. Even when it rains, there are activities indoors. So this farm is also perfect to visit on wet days. Staff is super friendly and prices of the food, gift store and farm store are reasonable. To me, personally, the fee to get inside was a little bit on the expensive side. It was €22 for the three of us. If you’re planning to stay a couple of hours it’s fine. Parking is on the other side of the road and it’s free, which is a plus.
A. S.
Such a nice place. The animals are nice and kept well. We could feed the baby goats and a few months ago we couls also feed the baby cows. They are adorable. There id a little coffee shop, with a small selection of food. The goats were really interested to see us, so when we went close to the gates they just came up to us. The horse is absolutely stunning.
M. K.
Still loving Longdown!
This is a great little family-family farm with plenty of 'animal encounters' which are clearly designed around the kids, but are - if we're honest with ourselves - great fun for adults too.
They've got baby goat feeding, big goat feeding, duck feeding, small animal handling and plenty more besides.
The tractor rides are great fun (but weather dependent) and there is a half-decent play area... my favourite part of the day is the calf-feeding - they're just brilliant! (Almost enough to put me off eating steak... but not quite!)
C. L.
The interaction with the animals is priceless!!! My children loved it 🥰🥰 Farm is smaller than our local one, for the same price. Has some huge trampolines there and a hay playground. Go there is well worth it the visit!!!
p. o.
Lovely place to take little ones, enjoy holding and feeding the animals very good day out
P. M.
We had the best day lovely staff as we took a special needs young lady in a wheel chair
J. R.
Adventure Farm that fits the needs of a family with small kids. Entertaining and educational. Takes 1-3 hours to see every thing. Small farm shop.
B. C.
Perfect day out for whoever loves barn animals. You can't get closer to them as in this farm. Very children oriented but myself and my girlfriend had a great time
P. J.
Great for children and adults who like animals!! Of course covid has changed the way they work but we still managed animal encounter and feeding the ducks, as well as the bumpy ride on the trailer😊
T. T. U. L.
It was brilliant.
We got to feed and hold all kinds of animals.
The baby chick was my favourite.
Theres massive trampolines, diggers a park...so much to do. :)
Lovely day out, shame its not closer to where I live. :)
M. F.
Been visiting here for the best part of 30 years, first as a child but now as a parent. Up until recently, I was of the view that nothing much ever seems to change, but the improvements we saw today were outstanding. The small animal area has been moved and massively upgraded, what was a dark, damp and cramped little area is now bright, airy, dry and comfortable. The chicken coops have also been tidied up since our last visit and look a lot warmer than the old ones - our favourite activity at the farm is gathering the eggs from under the hens! Staff really care about their animals, and are always happy to answer any questions you may have. A lovely little spot to visit with a young family, have a picnic, and get hands on with some lovely little animals.
J. M.
We had a lovely afternoon, thankyou.
Highlight was the very bumpy tractor ride with such a friendly n helpful driver..
K. S.
Lovely day out, a great day for the kids to get up close to the cutest animals, well managed and very clean. Lovely picnic area with a great park where they can burn off excess energy. My daughter loved petting the chicks and Guinea pigs and feeding the ducks, goats and calves.
G. a.
Great place for adult and kids, will definitely be returning soon.
P. D. S. C.
Went for mothers day and had an absolutely lovely day! Can interact with the animals and also feed them! Staff were helpfull and friendly baby facilities was also available 5* definitely! Thank you :)
R. L.
My little girl had such a lovely time here last weekend petting all the animals! Very lovely farm with lots of different activities !:))
D. (. i. h. i. i.
Brilliant day out, kids loved the tractor ride, and enjoyed feeding the baby lambs! Highly recommended for the kids
S. B.
Great place to take kids, not too big, lots of hands on things to do
J. M.
We had a super day 😊 yes it rained 🌧 but plenty of places to take cover. A great place for children and adults 🧒👦😎
J. D.
Beautiful farm! Friendly helpful staff and all the animals look happy and healthy. We spent hours here with loads to do and my little one loved it! Only small downside is some of the children's play stuff needs replacing, the little peddle tractors are very run down but other than that we loved this farm!!! Can't wait for the next visit!!
R.
My daughter loves this place and specially the area where they give little chicks in a basket to the children to hold in their hands.
E. J.
Great day out, thoroughly enjoyed by my young daughter. Loved feeding the animals. Lots of activities, great fun on playthings and trampolines and bumpy tractor ride. Only thing I missed was a proper scoop ice cream cone. Definitely recommend visiting though.
M. M. S.
A great place to go with children. You can spend a whole day easily. Spacious. Helpful and friendly staff. One can pet and feed the animals. Parking is on opposite side of the road.
R. S.
It was great .I even got a picture of Leslie feeding a baby goat.
F. V.
Stunbled across the farm while having a break in the New Forest. Arrived on a wet Monday but still plenty to do and didn't interfere with the day out. The team here are amazing very attentive, polite and happy. All of the farm animals are in very cleaned well maintained enclosures. Our little one loved meeting the small animals for petting time. :) Good priced food in the shop and plenty of seating.
A. G.
It was a lovely place to take the family too. The kids just didn't know where to go to first
A. L.
This farm is very well organised and perfectly targeted to families. It's clean (for a farm), spacious, well organised and the day is packed full of activities. Kids of all ages will be happy to spend a day there, no doubt. We particularly enjoyed feeding the calves with bottles and play with hay in the barn, but there are also a playground, tractor rides and crazy golf, to mention only a few of the other activities. A visit to the farm shop at the end of the day is a must.
K. M.
Great place to explore and see a variety of animals. Tractor rides and play equipment for the children.
Petting area and feeding.
J. T.
Fab day out. Tractor rides, feeding the animals. So much to do. Well worth the money, excellent value!
S. K.
Amazing experience. I have been there numerous times in my life and it has always left me with great memories!
E. D. M.
Fantastic exceeded expectations, my 2 and half year old grandson absolutely loved it, feeding baby & adult goats and calves a real treat. The animal encounter barn was amazing. Lots of sanitising stations and regular toilets all round farm. Cafe, shop and snack stop dotted around. Tractor ride free - please take note of sign very bumpy but really fun and well worth a go. Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend. Also farm shop just at entrance with fantastic goods
L. B.
Amazing day out and really catered for our daughter who struggles with queuing. Really made adjustments for her. Thank you.
J. P.
The kids loved it. Plenty of animals to feed, a tractor to ride, indoor and outdoor children's play areas and even a crazy golf pitch. Cafe reasonably priced. Was here for quite a few hours and the kids would have stayed longer if they could, which is pretty much the acid test for a family attraction.
J. D.
Very nice working farm. Great day with kids . Will visiting again
A. R.
Lovely little farm, reasonably priced with lots to do for the little ones. Only the cafe could do with improving/looking at their plastic waste
C. D.
We went here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon, arriving around 2pm as it was the first nice day of the year and we knew it would be busy. We checked their website beforehand and saw that the overflow carpark was closed because it was still waterlogged from the rain the previous days, so parking was limited but we found a space at that time of day. We enjoyed the animal encounter with our 13 month old, and she was able to get as involved as she wanted, but was a bit apprehensive! We also took her to see the cows, chickens and goats and she had a ride on the small tractors. There is a big soft play area in a barn, but it was a bit too busy for us. There is baby changing and a place to eat, and lots of other activities to keep all ages occupied for hours. On warmer days there is a tractor ride, but the field was too boggy when we went - we knew this from their website before we went. We really enjoyed our time here and are looking forward to returning again.
D. C.
the kids loved it wore them out nicely, a bit boring and basic for the older kids. for the price was a great day out food and drink is cheap enough
S. K.
Always a day full of fun at the farm! All staff members are welcoming and activities are family friendly 😊 We have a season pass and go once a week, we'll definitely be renewing next season!
A. H.
First time visiting since I was a kid. Lots of animals, and they do a good job of allowing and managing interactions with some animals, feeding them and so on. There's a clear map and timetable of activities. Food can be bought on site, and makes for a good day out for young kids.
A.
It used to a diary farm but now it has many different animals. It will a good day out for the whole family.
S. S.
Brilliant place for younger children, lots to do and a good structure throughout the day making sure you are able to interact with all of the animals. Good weather is probably needed but most of the attractions are inside
J. F.
I can't even begin to explain how brilliant this place is. It's now in my top 5 life experiences as I had that much of a good day - I got to bottle feed baby cows, feed goats and ducks too. I also got to hold a baby chick and guinea pig!
To put it into perspective, I'm almost 30 and visited with 2 other adults and we had the best time, and it is definitely not just for young children.
To comment on previous reviews, the farm was incredibly well kept, COVID safe, the best farm/zoo I've been to for toilet and hand washing facilities and the staff were simply so kind - we loved chatting with them whilst queuing. The cafe was reasonably priced and I was so impressed that they had a quiet room and a separate baby change facility (with changing room big enough for disabled children so they don't have to be changed on the floor!).
Hugely recommend going and I will for sure be back!
E. M.
We had a lovely day here, the kids loved it. And I loved how well the social distancing was kept up at feeding the animals and holding them made me feel at ease. Also seeing they guy walking round cleaning everything really makes you feel safer. Definitely be coming back
E. T.
We loved it here. There is so much to do. So many animals, goat feeding and activities for the children which includes a tractor ride!! Plenty of places to wash hands and lots of areas to have a picnic far away from the animals. Get in early enough and children can collect eggs from the pens and take them to the shop to exchange for a sticker. Well worth every penny.
T. S.
Lovely and well run farm for the youngsters.....up to 90!
Hands on and good staffing to educate us all.
My only comment would be to reduce prices for people and families who pop along for the last couple of hours and can't get a full day there. Otherwise a good family day out.
C. B.
Fun but will only last a couple of hours before you have completed the attractions. Good prices on the foods and gifts etc. Not bloated prices like other attractions. Added bonus its beautiful on a sunny day!
A. M.
Great place with lots to do for children. Trampolines, playground, petting, lots and lots other activities. Will come back
k. b.
Good activity place specially for kids ...
P. P.
It's looking a little rundown since the last time we were there. The children's tractors are broken a bit and are missing peddles. They really should be putting some money back into revamping the place and modernisation too. We did enjoy feeding the calfs and kid goats though and the addition of trampolines was good too, hence 3 stars.
N. O.
It was fantastic. We got there at 10am and didn't leave until 4pm. Staff were fantastic! The kids enjoyed feeding the animals, the trampouline, the tractor ride. Note that the farm is still very covid conscious so makes the queues slightly longer than it needs be. I highly recommend it.
E. B.
Such a great, friendly family run farm. We have season tickets which are very reasonable in price. My daughters especially love the trampolines, collecting eggs from the chickens and feeding the calves. Currently you have to book due to reduced numbers, but there are usually spaces available and it doesn't feel crowded on site. The farm shop is also worth a visit for lots of local produce.
j. v.
The kids love this farm, friendly and helpful staff that help the children interact with the animals. Definitely worth a visit.
K. P.
Loved our visit. Loved the animal encounters. We also bought our 2 lovely guinea pigs Peppa and Toffee from here. All animals so obviously loved and looked after. Good facilities and the bumpy tractor ride was a highlight.
W. C.
Good balance between animals and activities. Clearly timed activities that were included in entrance. Plenty of parking in opposite side of road, could do with a crossing. Covered seating area for those not wanting to buy food. Well organised animal handling, felt very covid safe and decent amount of time spent with animals. Tractor ride fun but not for faint hearted. As with all children activities I would rather they charged slightly more for child and less for adults... May encourage parents to pay for drink/food. Would prefer trampolines were aged (there are three of them) as could be dangerous if small and larger children are in same one. Overall a great day out.
E.
Had so much fun here with kids. Friendly staff, great facilities, good range of farm animals and all looked after so well. Kids loved the tractors and feeding. Entry fee well spent.
R. W.
We took our two year old granddaughter with us. We had a lovely time and the staff were helpful and friendly. I would suggest that maybe our granddaughter was a little young, but she enjoyed it and we certainly did, especially the bumpy tractor rides.
K. P.
Lovely farm! Brilliant day out for the family! The animals are beautifully looked after and amazing experience feeding the calves as well as being able to stroke chick's and guinea pigs! Very lovely day out
J. W.
Amazing place to take your young ones! Plenty of activities & really genuine helpful staff.
Animals are obviously well looked after & it was a joy to take my little girl here for her first farm experience.
Z. B.
I visited today with my nephew it was brilliant reallt well run lots to do and the staff were lovely highly recommend it 😊
I. F.
A range of farm animals for the kids to get close to. Refreshments on-site and a play park to burn off some energy. Not a whole day out but a good few hours especially if you visit the farm shop on the way out.
s. b.
What a fantastic day out! This is the best farm we have been too. our granddaughter loved feeding the goats, baby calves and getting up close to the baby chicks, ducks and pigs.
The farm is professionally run and very, COVID friendly. We felt very safe and the staff were trained to a high standard. They were excellent whilst we were bottle feeding the goats and calves and ensured that everybody used the sanitizer and all of the bottles had been cleaned before handing, them to us.
We were on holiday in the New Forest and our granddaughter loved it so much we made two trips to the farm, during the week.
By far, the best experience and value for money trip in the New Forest. Thank you for such a great experience.
E.
Always have a lovely visit to Longdown. Staff have always been friendly, polite, helpful and really positive. There's plenty of areas to stop and take a break or have lunch. Plenty of activities which you can spread across the day or just take a few hours visit. The animals seem so well handled and happy. Highly recommend a visit, just keep in mind it isn't a massive place and some people may find it difficult to make a full day out of it.
J. Z.
Lovely place for day out
S. P.
The staff were very helpful but there's not enough of them for the number of people at the farm. The animal encounter was well organized but the staff were literally running backwards and forwards because they were overwhelmed.
Sadly my grandson missed out on the tractor ride because I am disabled and couldn't stand in a queue for an hour.
The car park only has 4 disabled bays and they were full,so I had to park in the furthest away from the entrance.
My personal view is the farm needs to tighten up on numbers of visitors as this spoilt a nice day out.
k. c.
Really good day out amazing time with my boy
S. B.
A brilliant day out for young and old. My grandson loves it at Longdown. It was our 2nd visit and won't be our last.
S. H.
Amazing place to take the kids and pretty good value too. Absolutely loved coming here with my toddler!
J.
What a lovely day out we had. The children loved feeding the animals and being able to handle them as well. The staff were brilliant so caring towards the animals and children.
N. W.
Great day out for the family. Lots of hands on with animals, feedin, petting etc.
H. B.
Lovely friendly staff, children had a great time today
A. R.
Didn't have everything that is advertised. The tractor ride was just for pre booked groups. Nice things for the children to do. Some sheds not open. Great adventure playground for kids and nice cafe and eating area. Gift Shop was expensive.
Produce shop was lovely, full of local produce but again quite expensive.
J. J.
Great day out lots of mories made and the tractor ride was very bumpy!!
S. W.
What a lovely day out. Cuddling chicks, feeding the ducks and goats it is fun for the whole family. Friendly people and a great value day out.
C. m.
A great day out with our young family. Animals feeding was well run and organised. We fed a calf, a kids (goats) bottles and ducks from a glass and goats of plates. Great fun for all.
P. M.
Such a good place for a young family, there's so much to see and do, the staff were so friendly. If we're ever back in this part of the country we'll definitely be coming back to visit, highly recommended
C. G.
Lovely activity farm. Staff were friendly and polite. Toilets were clean throughout the day. Animals all looked healthy and happy.
Reasonably priced, nice little farm shop on site too.
B. D.
Great little farm, with lots of animals. Social distancing well managed
p. h.
Lots of animals to feed and a good tractor ride for lexi
S. p.
Great for the little ones, Amazing staff very friendly and helpful, really good for all the family, and my daughter loved holding the little chicks, great play park on site with nice cafe, all staff were great, one of the best we have visited.
T. R.
Unfortunately let far too many people in, on a Saturday. Which lacked social distancing.
All areas were queued. And felt a little claustrophobic. I'd question the parks ability to regulate visitor numbers, particularly when you only have a sticker to prove entry.
These queues weren't maintained as other visitors were just entering the crowded feeding areas via back entrance.
The toilet facilities were great
J. R.
Liked the hand on with the baby animals. Great for little children and its not to big.
C. C.
Great place for families. Lots of free activities and good opportunities for buying animals (we bought our favourite 2 guinea pigs from here)! ❤️✨
C. P.
Good day out took the grand kids they loved it
V. C.
Loved it. 4 generations together. So much to see and enjoy seeing the little ones handling baby chicks and baby guinea pigs. Feeding baby goats. Most enjoyable.
M. S.
Its a great experience for kids a placed loved by locals and regulars. During Covid-19 many patrons came forward and donated money to support the animals. The staff does great job in engaging with the kids. Many parents bring their own picnic baskets but the cafeteria there is not bad.
G. J.
Great for the kids and good prices for family tickets 🎟
D. R.
Paid full price but due to current restrictions, not nearly as much to do and see as normal. Was a bit disappointed. Managed to look round the farm in an hour and half. That included queuing. My 8 year old was happy enough though as got to stroke a bunny, guinea pigs, chick and a piglet snout!
No tractor rides at the moment and can't sit inside the cafe. Will need to sit outside under cover, or inside a few tables but smells a bit like wee.
Staff friendly and helpful and on hand to answer questions.
The big go carts were fun!
Take wellies!!
B. D.
Bit difficult in a wheelchair but does have a changing places toilet. Definitely one for smaller kids. Only free entry up to age of 2. Lots of picnic benches. Feeding the baby goats was a highlight.
Felt far too busy considering it's size during the pandemic and lots of people bkt wearing masks in mask areas which made us feel very uncomfortable
M. V.
Really nice place. Our children had an amazing time. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Toilets and eating are were really clean. We are definitely coming back.
B. B.
My granddaughter took me to the farm and I must say it was absolutely brilliant we had a great day see all the lovely animals and playing on all the wonderful activities
A. H.
This is a great family day out. There is a large picnic area and play park for children with trampolines. The tractor ride is great fun. Also lots of animals to see and feed.
N. K.
Good fun! Got to touch a guinea pig, rabbits, donkeys and more. High light was the goat feeding part, of course. Loved it!
A. H.
Lots of fun activities. Definitely recommend.
R. J.
Lovely afternoon despite the rain. Really fun tractor ride and the kids loved stroking the baby guinea pigs! The staff were really friendly and helpful and there were lots of measures in place to make sure we were covid-safe during the visit.
D. H.
I have always had a brilliant time at Longdown farm. Love feeding the animals
C. F.
Lovely place, my 3 year old loved it! Plenty to see and do.
S. G.
Great place for animal lovers of all ages, lovely family outing, & great local produce in the shop!
R. T.
Brill day out with the grandchildren, fed the animals, the goats ate greedy little beggers lol
H.
Full of fun activities, great for families!
J.
We enjoyed coming here with our 20 month granddaughter. Lots to see and the animals are well cared for. However, people were NOT social distancing especially when queuing to feed the animals. There were not enough measures in place to ensure that people were social distancing and for this reason I did not feel safe there at this current time.
K. T.
My 5 year really enjoyed herself. Lots to see and do.
N. B.
Great place for family’s. Something for everyone. Feeding the lambs was a great experience. Lots of parking and room to sit and have a picnic. Children’s play area is great. They was truly knackered by the end of the day. The farm shop has loads of variety I spent way to much money
K. M.
Loved it, only negative is the barn where you get to pet and meet some of the animals was shut, which is what we wanted to experience! But apart from that, was a really nice time :)
T. B.
Staff organised the popular animal feeding sessions very well. The queues moved very quickly and my grandson really enjoyed his turns with the calves and chicks.
J. S.
Loads for the kids to do - I loved feeding the goats. They loved go karts, diggers, indoor games, climbing frames, tractor ride. We'll organised in covid times.
A. D.
Very nice little farm, staff were helpful and the site is very kid friendly. Had a great experience with handling and petting various animals on site and thoroughly enjoyed feeding the goats.
D. W.
Such a variety of activities om offer .super opportunities for children and adults to learn about the farm.animals and observe their daily lives . Very educational al but with lots of fun involved .a real family day out for everyone x
T. Y.
A modest sized farm with animals to meet. Modest play park. Small shop. Very low key place that needs some tlc. If you’ve not come to such a place it’s okay - if you have..not great. Sorry
N. D.
Totally brilliant! The staff are lovely and helpful, from the lady in the kiosk at the beginning to the staff members all round! Highly recommend for all age groups! Can't wait to try the free range chicken we bought in the farm shop!
B. P.
Fun day out for the whole family. Lots for kids to do and good way to get them familiarised with the animals theyve been watching on TV. Very reasonably priced too. Recommended!
G. M.
We love coming here! It's such a lovely place for children (and adults) the staff are always so nice, there's lots to do and whenever we've gone there's lots of opportunities to feed the animals without having to share the feed with others. The Christmas barn was amazing too! Highly recommended, we've just bought season tickets
d. f.
Nice day out my daughter loved the farm and enjoyed the animals just one small niggle why make the cafe so expensive good food but hiked up prices other than that a great place to take your little ones
S. W.
Good half day activity, for younger children. Plenty of farmyard animals to watch pottering about, and a few interactive attractions. At capacity for being relaxed during a weekday, can imagine it is significantly less enjoyable with the additional people on weekend / school holidays.
Strongly advise the attached 'farm shop' that sells the more unusual 'farmers market' meat packs.
N. C.
Loved feeding the goats, cafe was a bit pricey and the soft play Was a bit poor (might be due to COVID)overall not bad
G. S.
Everything you would expect from and animal activity farm. The most adorable animals with educational moments all along the journey. Friendly staff and a really nice kids play area where you can relax for a bit.
S. C.
Lovely day out with my daughter and grandson. Thoroughly enjoyed feeding the goats, ducks and stroking baby chicks and Guinea pigs . Highly recommend.
J. W.
A wonderful place to bring small children, very friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices for tickets. Cafe pretty expensive. All in all, well worth a visit x
B. L.
Farmer Brian is the actual owner of the farm, he took the children around for the day. This was the best educational trip in a VERY long time. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
s. a.
Excellent day out for the family
S. S.
A great place to bring the kids to. We always go as a 3 generation family when on holiday in the New Forest.
Activities are more limited this year due to Covid-19 but I can't fault all of the safety measures that have been put in place to ensure a safe visit to the farm.
A. R.
Went as a school group helper. Set up really well with a Farmer educator leading the group around each section and handwashing throughout. Quick chat then hands on feeding in each area. Enjoyable day and we saw lots of toddlers enjoying ride on diggers and carts and a family friendly trampoline area too. Good signage for toilets and facilities. Plenty here to keep entertained for a half day or full day.
H. P.
Visited today. Lovely play area, polite and helpful staff and lots for the children to get involved in. Nice tea room and ice cream hut. Highly recommend.
C. G.
Nice little farm, the kids love it x
S. M.
Great farm to take your little ones to. Lots of animals to see and they have a good dining area (albeit basic). The shop is well equipped. The Santa's Grotto is superb. We went mid-week so the queue wasn't too bad at all. And they have a small soft play area too.
G. J.
Brilliant for the kids, lots for them to do and getting to feed and hold the animals is great for the kids to do
H. M.
The children really enjoyed this small & simple place. They had ample washing & hand sanitation areas around.
K. D.
Lovely family run farm. Lovely weather made it great fun for the kids who loved it. Reasonably priced but would recommend it only in good weather as not much to do inside if it is raining. Great hands on experience for kids to feed a wide range of animals. Kids particularly enjoyed bottle feeding the kids and calves.
r. w.
Visits today with family and two great grandchildren
Must admit I was worried about queues but yes there were queues but only for max five minutes we fed calves goats and handled chicks hamsters stroked rabbits as well as a tractor ride Along with most of the other things along with a bite and drink at the cafe sensible prices A good value for money day out would higher recommend. Thanks
T. P.
My partner and I visited minus children not knowing what to expect. We were overwhelmed! What a fantastic place. I loved feeding the baby calves and goats. What an experience. So well organised and professional. We had the good fortune to meet farmer Bryan and his lovely wife Dawn who are all about the welfare of their animals. Ant recommend enough. Thank you
M. C.
Nice petting zoo / farms, lots of animal to pet and learn about. Lots of activities for children and a nice playground when the animals get a bit too much. Very friendly staff and happy animals.
L. W.
Daughter loved feeding goats and ducks as well as handling chicks and guinea pigs.
S. K.
We all really enjoyed this visit. lots of animals to see.. 2 areas of feeding animals. few play areas too. Only a cafe i.e sandwiches coffee etc
R. W.
Absolutely fantastic! As well as being a brilliant day out, all the staff are absolutely amazing! Used to love coming as a kid and now i love bring my own kids. Especially want to say how brilliant Sharon was on our most recent visit! My son foolishly went down the slide in this heat and got a burn, Sharon noticed while we were handing in some eggs and she instantly cleaned the burn and put a proper plaster on it so it couldn't get infected (which seems logical being around all the animals). She was happy and friendly as well as all the other staff and as always, we'll be back soon!
S. P.
We went for the Xmas barn and it was amazing! We've been the last few years and they always do such a great job. The father Christmas is brilliant as are all the staff and animals. This is also a great day out any other time of the year when they are open.
P. E.
Kids' highlight of the week. Trampolines, animals, snacks, what else do you need?
D. P.
Ideal for younger children to visit and see the animals. Make sure you wear suitable footwear it gets very muddy when it’s wet. Went to see Father Christmas, given the current situation this was done well and was done safely, no one wants to make Father Christmas Ill with Covid!
S. T.
Stayed in Brockenhurst for a few days and decided to go here as myself and my partner love anything with animals. Firstly it's not massive but just enough to keep it entertaining. Secondly it's an absolutely incredible place as you can properly interact with the animals, feed them ect. We had approximately 15 calfs to ourselves to scratch and cuddle. You can pretty much touch all the animals and the pens are big enough for them to move away if distressed or not in the mood. Feeding was a great feature to. Overall an amazing place.
C. B.
Good visit, grandchildren loved it.
J. G.
Great for children very interactive lovely settings
J.
Great place to take kids, lots of up close opportunities with the animals.
R. R.
Amazing day out. Big enough not to overwhelm the little ones. Loved seeing all the baby animals and getting up close
. My favourite was feeding the baby kids
K. T.
Fabulous for the children. They can feed some animals, collect eggs even have a tractor ride
S. G.
Pretty good, social distancing hard and queues quite long for breif animals interaction!
D. F. (.
A great day out for the family, just remember you're going to a farm so wear sensible clothing - the number of people in flip flops and designer clothes was laughable, given they can end up walking in mud and covered in straw (or worse!)
Get there early to get the most of the day, feed calves, goats & ducks, go on a tractor ride (as long as it's not too wet!), hold a chick and see if you can find some hens eggs! Great fun for all ages, from toddlers to adults.
T. P.
Hoping to spend the whole afternoon here but after 2 hours my 3 year old was asking to go home. She did enjoy the baby chicks and ducklings. Also the tractor ride is fun.
S. R.
Fantastic place to take children - a lot to do and good interaction with the animals. A lot of activities are undercover in case of rain.
E. B.
Great place to take children to meet animals and play
b. B.
Great day out for adults as well as children loads to do even in the rain
A. K.
Fabulous place to take all children of all ages as there is something for everyone. Soft play, trampoline barn, and an activity area for toddlers. The staff were wonderful dealing with the que's of people and children waiting to feed calf's, kid goats, and ducks making sure everyone had a fair turn. Also the opportunity to handle, Rabbits, G- pigs, chicks and much more. Donkey's and Alpaca and a fun ride on a tractor trailer across a field. We would recommend this farm as a great day out for all the family.
M. M.
Really nice place to take the family. Good facilities to wash your hands and keep clean
l. f.
We had a great family day out! Sensible priced. All child friendly. Our children had good interaction with young friendly animals. The staff looked like they enjoyed there job. I would recommend this place.
B. B.
Amazing, especially for the little kids. Fed the lambs and they were so cute. Staff were really friendly too. Loads of space here too.
L. K.
Took 2 youngest granddaughters, fed the calves, held chick's and went on a tractor ride, really lovely enjoyable day for all of us.
N. B.
Love it here! The staff are friendly and helpful. The café is simple but nice and there is some room inside for picnics and lots of room outside for picnics (if the weather is good). We can arrive at opening time and stay for many, many hours! My toddler loves to feed all the animals. The feeding times are nicely spaced apart so you can feed most, if not all the animals. The baby animal encounter is a must! There are also diggers to play with, toy tractors to ride on, a soft play area and a play park, and on certain days a big tractor ride. Plenty to do. A full days worth of activities! Definitely in my top 5 child-friendly places to go. Keep up the good work Longdown!
J. H. (.
We have been a few times now and it never disappoints, even post Covid you can still have a lovely time there petting and feeding the animals. All the animals are so friendly and seem content and happy which is so lovely to see, especially for children to have such a positive first experience with baby animals. You will need to prebook online as they are sensibly limiting the numbers for each time session so make sure you check their website. There is ample parking onsite but be aware that you need to cross the road to get from the car park to the farm.
s. A.
Kifs loved this place, tractor ride was awesome
C. D.
Fantastic farm themed day out for the whole family! Lots of animals to see and play with, very hands on and well maintained. Well worth checking the schedule out as they plan many different activities throughout the day. Well worth checking out the letting section and it is very unique. Good value plus they have a decent farm shop near the exit. Highly recommended.
J. G.
Plenty of parking and plenty to see with the small people.
B. F. C.
Such a great place to visit. Bottle feeding the calves and kid goats is so much fun and the children loved it too. There’s plenty to do and lots of close encounters with the animals.
T. A. h.
I come here to buy my pet chickens which also lay really well.
This time they only had Warrens and one white chicken. But they are vaccinated and happy and have started laying immediately.
The activity farm itself is great for younger children up to age 12 and a good day out.
L. H.
Ideal place for younger children.
E. J.
Great day out for kids, lots to keep them entertained, enjoyed feeding the baby goats! Great picnic area as well.
J. A.
Great place I had so much fun here
T. R.
Brought our Chicken and they were really helpful
V. G.
My children loved it more than going on a holiday. They enjoyed feeding the animals and birds.
E. H.
We hold a season ticket, it's fantastic to take little one for a few hours, rain or shine there is always something for us to do.
J. G.
We all had a lovely time. Felt really safe and clean with the covid-19 measures they had implemented. Loads of hand wash stations and hand sanitiser stations in all the key areas. Would recommend a visit!
K. B.
This is a great farm for kids and adults alike. The animals are accessible and they were all friendly, not nervous around people at all which was nice to see. The kid goats were the star of the show for me. My son enjoyed the trampoline. We'll worth a visit.
K. G.
I want to give this place a bad rating so we can keep it all for ourselves as it's just such an amazing place for the kids! Hands on kiddy activities in a relaxed environment and above all the animals are so well cared for and look healthy and happy. Lots to do and a lot of activities are under cover so still an option for a rainy day.
J. S.
An excellent day out with the kids. There's so much to do that we are never bored, especially when the weather is nice. The tractor ride was a particular highlight and the kids loved feeding the animals. My only reservations are that some of the play equipment is in disrepair (poor show considering the high price of entry) and the crazy golf obstacles are borderline impassable with no alternative route.
K. Y.
Great day for family group kids really enjoyed themselves so much to do feeding animals, play park etc can't wait to visit again.
L. H.
Visited during covid. Seemed to be doing a pretty good job with cleaning and sanitizer. Lots for kids to do despite some parts being closed. It was chucking it down with rain on out visit and we still had a lovely time. Plenty of hands of farm activities and plenty of spots for a picnic.
j. k.
Great little farm. Lots of things to do and see and the staff are lovely. The children loved seeing all the animals and there is opportunity to feed baby cows, baby goats, big goats, ducks and geese and pigs. There is also small animal handling in which it is possible to hold chicks and baby Guinea pigs as well as stoking giant rabbits and brushing goats. There is a bumpy tractor ride which was fun. The staff are so enthusiastic and friendly! There is a small indoor soft play area as well as trampolines and a straw den. There are also go carts and pedal tractors to ride on. There is something for all ages. There is a nice reasonably priced cafe which also has a small play area with sandpit for the children.
Overall I was impressed, one of the best I have visited, would recommend a visit if in the area.
N. R.
Excellent petting zoo. Feed the ducks. Pat the horses and goats. Give milk to the baby goats. Lovely setting. Free car park, and quite reasonable price. Nice day out, and if the weather is good there are loads of extra outdoor activities to do.
L. P.
Great for all the family
B.
Wonderful place to visit with young children. Plenty of opportunities to feed the animals. Staff friendly and helpful.
P. R.
It's a fantastic place for the children. A real hands on experience for rhem
S. W.
Good day out for the children. Lots of animals to learn about and also a farm shop for the adults, best part of the day coming home with some fresh made steak pies 😍
M. F.
This was our first visit and it was brill. Theres so much to do / see and our girls (age 2 and 3) had a great time. Its very well thought out and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
R. B.
Great place to go for a day out staff very friendly and hands on with information and feeding of the animals my granddaughter loved every animal she wanted to take them home definitely going back there good value for money
C. H.
Such a great place for young children. There is always plenty to do on top of seeing/feeding/holding the animals. My son loves the trampolines, ride on tractors, sandpit, train table and soft play. You can spend all day or just pop in for a couple of hours and always have a great time.
H. W.
We have visited Longdown a few times now with our 3 year old. It's a lovely farm, with plenty for children to do and see. Car parking is free and plentiful and the food in the cafe is reasonably priced and very nice.
L. C.
Loved it...especially as they provide kennel facilities for our dog....free of charge.
Lovely place.....even though it rained all day.
A. D.
A wonderful interactive animal experience managed by friendly staff. Nice cafe. Soft play, trampolines and outdoor play areas make for a good day out - particularly good for toddlers in the week.
L. M.
Fun day out with lots to do with family/friends.
Mini golf and trampolines, you can also feed the goats and ducks.
Small tractors for the kids to play on and large tractor rides available for everyone.
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, highly recommended.
R. Y.
A great place for the younger generation with lots of things to see / play on. There are regular hands on shoes with the small animals and there are indoor play places as well. Picnics are welcome but there is also a very well priced onsite cafe. The car parking is free but is located on the other side of a busy road so hold on to the younger members of the family.
M. A.
Loved this place! Very much for the kids but so many different animals to deed. Really well run and they have thought about how guests want to spend their day. Thoroughly recommend.
L. H.
Fantastic place to visit and so much to do. My son bottle fed calves, goat kids, fed ducks and big goats. Stroked and saw animals, tractor ride, bouncing on trampolines, outdoor and indoor play areas and great hat bale play area. WE also played mini golf. The cafe is lovely too
S. W.
Great fun, Farmer Bryan, his wonderful family of staff all make this place so special.
A. K. (.
Nice place for kids and adults who like farm animals.
B. N.
We had a great day out. Wheelchair access is good throughout. Good changing places loo. Excellent staff and good understanding of children who have autism.
S. C.
Excellent for small children
V. D.
We go every year because its so lovely getting to feed the animals and stroke them its a really good day and value for money
D. H.
Kids love it, I've been here a couple of times with only minor criticism on the last visit - the go karts clearly aren't maintained as two of three were broke/not working correctly. Didn't spoil the visit, the animals look happy and healthy, and interaction with them is superb
E. S.
We had a lovely afternoon here. The kids loved it, and ice creams amd drinks not too expensive.
G. P.
Lovely place for hands on experiences xx
L. P.
A lovely local and fun farm. Lots of activities to keep the kids amused and lots of chances to get up close to the animals. They have a wonderful changing places toilet, lots of play areas and undercover picnic spots. A great day out.
L. W.
My children absolutely loved it here!
S. R.
Great place for the family.. great price and alot to see and doo..
D. S.
Lovely enclosed farm setting. Children are encouraged to handle small animals, bottle feed goats & calves. The highlight of the tractor & trailer rides which are bumpy & fun. Food & drinks are available but you can also take your own. Can get very busy at times.
D. R.
Our family loves this farm, they have activities throughout the day for the kids to feed and hold animals. There are parks and other animals to see in between times
T.
Lovely farm where you can feed the animals. There is also a newly built outdoor play area. Great fun for the children.
J. H.
Adults go in for £10 or 10% off online. Under 3 free. You get to feed the goats and calves, hold a chick and guinea pig (a small basket with it in) and stroke rabbits. There is a tractor ride (seated in a trailer), quite bumpy (don't expect a smooth ride). Good in the sun, 1 sheltered picnic area and a shop you could buy food and eat in if it rains. Also, a soft play area.
J. H.
A good visit for a young family and lots of things to see. A good 3hr visit depending if your tiddlywinks love animals.
R. P.
The staff were great, lovely setting. We went when the Christmas grotto and Santa were there, and it was absolutely fantastic, the Christmas barn was brilliant, and Santa himself... well, he was obviously real and he asked all the kids great questions. Very much recommended.
E. H.
Beautiful day out.
C. M.
It was brilliant. Cheap. Very helpful staff. Lots to see and lots of animals to feed.
K. M.
Fantastic place to go for families or anyone that is a lover of animals. A place that truly cares about it's animals and the experience of visitors. They also have a farm shop selling local goods that my parents often pop into and they would recommend it :)
A. L.
Great place for kids and family. Lots to do and the animals are great. Lots of places for kids to interact and feed the animals. You'll want to consider bringing your own food or head to one of the great pubs in the New Forest to eat.
C. S.
Absolutely wonderful enjoyed every minute will be going again I think all kids will enjoy it between the animals there feeding and the play area's lots to do.
A great day out
R. T.
Great day out
G.
After an unfortunate start the staff here were incredibly helpful and accommodating. I didn't get names but the owners are such nice people and their farm is an absolute pleasure to visit. Attractions for kids of all ages and plenty of animals to feed, hold or pet. Play park, face painting and tractor rides, toys to ride and mini diggers that do actually dig unlike some places. The farm is pretty big so as busy as it gets you don't feel crowded. We've thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and couldn't recommend Longdown Farm enough. Thank you for a smashing day.
E. W.
A really good day out for small children
Well run with lots to do
Interactive petting with animals
Very friendly helpful staff
Exellent value for money
Would definitely recommend
O. W.
We were kept busy enough for a couple of hours but it's a bit tired, the soft play is quite small and the food is average. The kids loved it and the animals all seemed in good condition.
S. T.
A lovely day out, feeding, stroking and holding animals. Plenty of things to do for the kids, play parks, go karts, push along tractors and a tractor ride. There is a cafe and a snack shack. The picnic area is lovely. It's worth a day out for sure
S. I.
Enough to do to took keep kids entertained for the best part of a day. I took my 22 month old along and he loved it, he got to point and shout animal's names at them, ride around on the toy tractors and play in the foam play area. Reasonably priced for a days fun.
H. P.
We are visiting from Australia.
Fab place for little kids! The staff were great and so friendly.
Lots of animals and activitys for the kids! Egg collecting, animal feeding and the trampolines were a highlight
Only disappointment was the tractor rides weren't on due to the weather (was a mostly sunny day, so I didn't see why they couldn't seeing how many kids were there)
Never the less a great day out!
S. P.
Great for some family fun with plenty of feeding and animal encounters. Inside and outdoor play areas so good for any weather. Mini golf is great value too for first experiences.
R. H.
The kids loved our trip to Longdown. There was plenty to do for a mornings activities and the weather being sunny allowed us to really get the most of it. The trampolines and tractor rides were a real hit. Would recommend.
R. W.
A nice public in a good location next to a like which has some nice walks nearby. The place is always busy and often a booking is required. The food is ok, better than average public food but a little pricey for what you get....not great value. Nice outdoor area outside. Inside is quite small with low ceilings. There is a childrens play area and plenty of parking.
J. “. W.
Kids always love a trip to Longdown always tidy not big queues , hands on feeding animals great interaction kids loved it so did i 😶
L. N.
Spent easter Saturday with friends and our little ones...extremely busy, but totally expected!! Plenty of animal experiences, plenty of play areas and things to do. Couldn't get into the café, wasn't very big and we had to sit outside with no baby chairs but we dealt with it but it meant I couldn't order anything as I had a running toddler who wouldn't sit still. But had a good day regardless
M. D.
Great place with lots to do. Recommend a season pass, bumpy tractor rides are free along with goat feeding.
Their vintage tractor event was great fun with Shaun the sheep doing tug of war with the kids.
D. C.
Just took my daughter for her 3rd Birthday, She loved everything about it, in fact the whole family had a blast. We had lots of fun on the trampolines, raced each other in the go-karts and fed the baby goats, ducks and calves. Even if it were to rain there is lots undercover to do too. Staff were really helpful too, there was always someone about to answer any questions about the animals. Highly recommended..!!!
A. K.
Great fun for the whole family. Beautiful, content animals and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Plenty of had washing facilities across the site. Lovely farm shop. Great value for money too.
A. G.
The best day was had, it's really hands on, lots of animals, a good play park and picnic area too.

This farm is amazing. Been there often with my grandson. The staff are so friendly and loads of animals to see and things to do. First class. Well worth a visit and not a lot to pay to get in.
Y. M.
A lovely little place to spend a couple of hours. Brilliant for small children to learn about farm animals. Lovely experience feeding calves, goats and petting baby chicks etc. Would recommend

A Fantastic Place to visit and enjoy your time with your family and friends and all the best wishes to all staff and management team for the day out to be remembered by my lovely grandchildren who actually keeps asking me for to go back again and collect the eggs and ride on the Tractor with my Granddaughter loves the kids, trampoline and all the other rides and other things I've seen so much and such a fantastic day out experienced with my lovely family and met friends there who hadn't been there before and they were enjoying their first visit and we love the farm Shop, I was able to do some Xmas shopping with lots of lovely things to buy and, then the Gift shop, had lots of nice things for the grandchildren. We'll be back again soon as my Granddaughter won't forget Longdown Dairy Farm, she is really a lovely girl who loves your Place, it is a lovely place to eat and drink a plenty to occupy the whole family, a good place to relax and enjoy a relaxing day out. A. P.
Lovely hands on experience feeding and petting the animals with plenty of activities to wear the kids out too. Friendly, helpful staff and not too crowded, even during the summer holidays. We spent almost 5 hours here so a full day out.
S. M.
Visited the Farm Shop today and bought some vegetables including a Pork Panchetta and Chorizo pie. Honestly it was one of the tastiest pies I have ever eaten. Will definitely visit this shop again for some more goodies.

Covid secure plenty of wash stations and staff cleaning throughout our visit. Animals well cared for. Friendly staff, will be back
A. B.
A lovely place to take the kids. You can feed some of the animals and touch others. There is a good play area and a tractor trailer ride to take. Food etc is available and is not too expensive.
L. A.
Affordable and lots of activities to do all throughout the day. Friendly staff.
Great disability facilities!
b. t.
Loved it had a great time! I wish I had spent longer! Definitely recommend. Would love to go back!
T. D.
Great Staff, great for kids!
h. “. w.
Will be going back for so cheep for a amazing day out and has a amazing farm shop witch is so good
P. G.
Absolutely loads for young children to do. Worth considering a season ticket if you're local as it's worth multiple visits (and individual pricing is a little high).
Parking can be problematic in the holidays though the activities never feel 'full' (other than queues for timetabled activities eg feeding).
S.
Fantastic day out, staff are wonderful, always purchase sawdust and hay from their farm shop, works out cheaper than petshops and much better to support local.
T. F.
Purchased 4 chickens, could not be any happier with the service or birds 5*****
D. F.
My little boy loved it. Getting to feed the animals. Will definitely be going again
G. F.
Very helpful and friendly staff, very enjoyable, lots of well kept animals, a great place for all of the family , my grandson enjoyed it immensely.
M. J.
Lovely day out. The only thing i would say is they put rabbits on a petting table for people to stroke and this poor bunny was freaking out running up and down as people came to stroke it because they hate being approached from above as thats how their hunted by birds in the wild they should of had them in the little boxes to put on your lap like they did with the guinea pigs they did used to years and years ago not sure why they've changed it but lovely staff lovely animals great activities
G. M.
Great fun for my grandson with the easy access to the young animals but also plenty of fun toys to ride on or play with. Lovely well stocked farm shop open seven days a week.
P. “. c.
Lovely day out with little ones loads to do like feed and stroke the animals and a fantastic farm shop.
Food in cafe exspencive for what it is so advised to bring a picnic
S. R.
I like this place great for any age but mainly children, you can even collect your own eggs, have a ride on the Tractor, play a game of crazy golf, feed the animals have a cup of tea and buy fruit and veg. See you in 2019 .
A. E.
Great farm with great activities for the children! So many different animals and fun for the kiddies. Theres a play area as well. The staff are really lovely and helpful. Great day out
S. F.
Great day out with the family and when you leave grab some food made in the New Forest 👍
S. L.
Great for young children. Interactive, mostly too cute for words until they walk through the pooie areas. Then it's really quite funny as the children screw up their noses 🤢
C. R.
Loads for the kids to do. Staff were very friendly and animals all looked happy and well cared for.
A. A.
a perfect farm experience for kids and adults....
C. W.
Lots to do and great to feed the animals. Tourists in queues did not follow 2m distancing - naughty! Plenty of activities for kids of all ages.
B. B.
Daughter really enjoyed it there. Fed chickens and kid goats as well as handling chicks and guinea pigs. All round Nice place.
D. J.
Lovely little family run farm, you get to feed lots of baby animas and get up close, touch and cuddle others. Best place to take children to get up close to animals.
C. G.
Brilliant place for all families. Highly recommended. Bring a picnic and enjoy everything.
D. R.
Lots to do and for kids to learn
P. C.
Great for kids and adults alike. It's not often you get to feed the animals yourself and even with queues everyone gets a go. It can get busy even during the week. It's very cheap to enter and worth it but food and drinks once inside are expensive.
S. D.
Grandson enjoyed it although he did prefer soft play area and climbing frames in the park area along with tractor ride rather than looking at the animals. Poor horses etc looked quite old and fed up with it all!
N. V.
Visited on the first opening day of the year for my Nephews 2nd Birthday it was amazing we enjoyed feeding and holding goats chicks Guinea pigs etc great soft play area will be visiting again later in the year.
G. H.
This a lovely farm experience. Lots of contact with the animals, lovely staff and so much for little children to do. We especially loved the children being encouraged to collect the hen's eggs from the boxes.
S. W.
I came here with my family back in April on a rainy day. I had a lovely time feeding the baby goats and holding the guinea pigs. My 2 year old wasn't so keen on it unfortunately and didn't want to do anything. Not a good idea to come when it's raining!
m. m.
First time here absolutely loved it never mind my grandson, bottle fed the goats and calfs, great way to spend a couple of hours
L. L.
Lovely fun day for all, plenty to do, animal feeding is great
J. F.
Great place for a family day. It is a farm with different sections with different types of farm animals. At the beginning there is a section where you can hold chicks, baby rabbits, and other baby animals. Great park area for a picnic, and for children to play.
A. O.
Great fun day, nice farm shop. We bought 3 live chickens, the staff have been really helpful getting them settled.
M. B.
lovely place to visit to feed the animals and enjoy a bumpy tractor ride. we visit regularly and it never gets boring. brilliant for all ages from age 1 - 99 yrs!
K. W.
Great place for young children. Lots to do throughout the day with lots of different feeding times. Indoor play areas are enough to kill half an hour here and there when there aren’t feeding times and the outdoor park is great!
T. G.
The staff, the animals and the venue were first rate for all ages and abilities! We came as part of a nursery school visit on a very rainy day but we all wanted to go back the moment we left.
P. S.
My Daughter and I were having a good day out when her son (my Grandson)had an accident on the trampoline. It was no one's fault just a collision with another child and landed badly. The friendly staff and first aiders were wonderful, and made sure they checked my Grandson carefully and sensitively. once they had finished they helped us to the car with a wheelchair, and even gave him a treat! Thanks for the good advice as to which hospital to take my grandson to, (Lymington) we were seen quickly and on the road again within 2 hours still with a limping Grandson, but dosed up with painkillers and still playing with his treat. Felt very reassured that the first aiders were so confident and friendly. Will be visiting again when we are in the area.
J. P.
Great fun with good combination of animals and activities for thr kids. From go-karts, trampolines and indoor soft play.
Tractor rides feeding various animals. Farm shop and cafe.
J. P.
Lovely experience and my daughter loved her first time visiting a farm. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and atmosphere was relaxed. Would definitely visit again.

D. W.
Brilliant fun for children of all ages. Plenty of activities to keep young ones amused. Crazy golf, indoor and outdoor play areas. Petting and feeding animals . Good food in cafe at reasonable prices. Good place for a few hours or a day.
S. H.
Farm shop was closed when I arrived at 4:45 to purchase Guinea pig food and hay but they opened up and served me anyway, you don’t get service like that elsewhere, thank you to the staff for going above and beyond 😃
L. A.
We visited yesterday for the first time I our holiday. The staff we very helpful and friendly and they whole time we were there we were busy. Our son had an awesome time and had a go at feeding all the animals and handling the small animals.......well worth the money
W. S.
Great for a day out with the family
D. P.
Great place for kids anf big kids alike
R. P. (.
Fun afternoon liked by all the children with us aged from 2-8. Similar to Staunton but the grounds were not as nicely kept. We enjoyed the tracktor ride. There were lots of baby pigs, chicks and goats to see in August. Im affraid to say we wouldnt go back.
R. G.
Great mix of activities and animals. Get up close and personal. My kids loved it on a very rainy day. It would have been even better on a sunny day.
H. E. L.
Great place for a day out with family or friends! They have a programme for the day, and you can join into the activities with the animals. Really nice place, happy animals, their own products at the shop! Loved it!
C. W.
Bought our pet chickens from here. They are brilliant. A regular 'bird flu' newsletter went out with help and advise during the recent bird flu problem. They run chicken keeper workshops.
The actual farm is also brilliant and kids just love feeding and holding the animals.
M. W.
Farmer Brian is so good with the children.
S. H.
Nice place but unfortunately we encountered what we felt was unacceptable and avoidable situation . As a place that is an attraction for all mostly children one of their goats was in the paddock with other goats noticed she was bleeding a lot so we got help for her as she was very distressed to be told she had had a still birth and was recovering and that a vet had attended . We stayed with her and again called for help as she collapsed in the paddock with all the little children around , covered in blood eventually someone came and the poor little thing died in the paddock and were told that her baby had ripped her uterus and she had bled out . I feel any self respecting vet would not have advised for her to go back the the paddock for young children and people with disabilites well anyone really to vitness her suffering ... very sad and avoidable .
D. N.
Great little farm, good time table to hold and feed the animals and other activities for children.
P. W.
Superb experience for all ages. Brilliant staff, please go, you will love it.
J. L.
Fantastic little farm. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend for the little ones!
S. M.
Lovely visit to Longdown, the animals were all lovel & well kept. However the few other activities need tidying up. The mini golf, which my Grandaughter wanted to play is in dire need of a facelift..the " Flower" beds were uncared for & a mass of dead weeds. A brush here & there to sweep the gravel off the fake turf would not go amiss. It was a bit of a sad area! Go cart course could be better too. I would say if you're going to be a farm then be just that & get rid of the other stuff. We did all enjoy our time there tho.
C. C.
Took my Grandson (age 4 going on 9) to see Santa today. He loved it, wasnt bored in the lead in queue as a number of screens playing wide range of cartoons owarm and dry with straw bales to sit onl, once in the main queue he handled various animals and was totally enthralled.
Then the real magic ...... a personal visit to Santa (accompanied by Nanny and Grandad). The look on his face, it was priceless. In a trance.
Even better, he ws in a wheelchair, staff couldn't have been more helpful to us, reccomend anyone to go to this. Sheer magic
P. M.
The amount of enjoyment we had, despite the torrential downpour, is testament to how awesome this place is. We all had a very lovely time
P. P.
Lovely place to spend a day .my daughter and granddaughter feeding the kids !!!
h. j.
Had a nice day. Way too busy for my liking and they definitely need proper baby swings. Not just child swings. And yes... that tiny black dot in the middle is a tiny baby guinea pig.
S. J.
A great place to take the kids. The farm shop sells excellent local produce.
S. C.
Turned up hoping to get something to do for the kids to get out of a rainy Bank Holiday Sunday and wasn't disappointed, good fun for the family, and plenty to do when it's raining ☔ lovely staff. The farm shop is worth a visit too.
A. T.
It's a lovely farm but it could have been better if we had known about the daily activities, it's unclear on their website and we missed quite a few activities. It starts from about 10am. So make sure you go nice and early.
T. F.
Plenty of things to do. Aimed at children but catering for all the family. Usual farm yard animals set in pleasant green area. Large car park free to use.
R. B.
Good day out. Plenty of hands on experience. Loads for kids to do. Ideal for kids under 10 yrs, but older ones were having fun to do. Informative and staff were caring for the animals and visitors.
S. G.
The farm was very farmy and full of animals. My daughter enjoyed herself and I drank coffee.
c. o.
Great fun for the little ones. We've been taking our three children there for years and seeing Father Christmas this year with our grandchild was really good and well worth the money.
N. A.
Excellent day out with the grandkids. Lots to do and kept them entertained all day. Cafe good prices not too expensive
F. H.
Love taking lo, 2yrs old, she loves seeing all the animals. We are very local so love to pop down for an hour or so regularly, season ticket worth every penny.
R.
Great fun with the kids. Better in the summer months, with plenty to do.
The meet father christmas event was very well laid out, and the kids loved it.
T. O.
Great day out with the kids, loads to do, feeding the animals is fun, excellent quality farm shop. Toilets could do with an upgrade especially when dealing with toddlers.
J.
We went here for our sons 4th birthday along with our 2 year old, they both loved it. Lots to do and an activity schedule throughout the day which made the experience even better
H. J.
Amazing as always love the atmosphere staff and definitely the piglets. My baby boys first time and it was so lovely to get him out and about thank you
p. p.
Fantastic place good value for money
Very impressed with the co-vid hygiene
T. C. G.
I love bringing my son here. We have so much fun, we bought the membership and it's definitely worth it. Even on busy days we still get to see and do everything.
F. H.
Great family attraction. Loads to do, great playthings, soft play and animal encounters. Our 2.5yr old had a great day, as did we!

a. u.
Really good day out for the family with plenty to do and see. We'll worth a visit😁
M. G.
Excellent Value for money. Great for young children who loved being able to bottle feed Calves and Kids. As did the adults! Highly recommend.
C. P.
Every minute was amazing!
A. V.
I've not been in to the activity part of the farm but have bought live chickens and used the farm shop.
Really well stocked shop and healthy chickens. Staff have always been friendly and helpful.
D. L.
Lots of opportunities to get close up with animals - chicks, goats, ducks, guinea pigs... Friendly staff, good range of half hourly activities. The only disappointment was the food in the cafe.
J. K.
Fun place for little kids n big kids at heart like myself loved feeding the calfs n the goats and pet lil chicks n baby Guinea pigs
B. K.
Brilliant! Great for money charged. Cafe prices are a little dear but normal for days out but have lots of options. Amazing that you can hold the animals also. Brilliant day out
W. F.
Great place to go with family, especially little ones.
Queues can get big, but it's fairly quick and there's multiple things to do if you don't want to wait.
S. C.
Activities for small children, mainly meeting and greeting animals. I would say that there is probably half a day's worth before you arrive revisiting other areas of the farm again. The activities get very busy during the holidays with half hour queues for the baby animals session for example.
y. d.
My little Grandson had a wonderful time there
