M. R.Lovely park ! Flowers are gorgeous and there are many pretty beds to relax on. But, the toilets are disgusting and unhygienic- which is shocking compared to the rest of the park which is clean!

S. S.Excellent park with loads to do. Came for the splash pad and was not disappointed. However, had to queue for nearly an hour for a 30 min splash.
Parked on a side street as I didn't see any car parks around.
p. c.A gem. Fine selection of cakes, a little sweet, but just perfect for sharing. Off the Ely Trail, perfect surroundings of Victoria Park with its very own seal. Great coffee. But don't share this, cos it's my gem of a place.

There's lots of open space for the kids to play in too. Parking is also little difficult, but free on the street. Definitely a good place for a picnic and an afternoon out.

Long queues for food and ice cream though, it would be nice at the end of it if the staff actually smiled and appreciated your custom but nope too much to ask!!

The toilets block on the edge is kow a small Coffee Shop and the ice cream / snack bar in the middle by the same family forever.
The splash park only open in high summer and closes earlier and earlier with the late afternoon light.

R. S.Lovely little park in a big city. Lots of options for coffee around if you fancy one. Toilets are available but not always open. Can get quite busy but lots of benches around to sit on, rest and watch the world go by.

M.A park for all, large children's play area for little ones, and the not so little ones, many lovely old trees to sit under ( or hug, if you are into that kind of thing ) a band stand to run around, dog friendly, and in the summer a large water play area right next to Billie the seal's statue. Take away cafe open on warm days with hot food, drinks and ice creams served. One of Cardiff's many wonderful green spaces.

Good size parks for children of all ages. Splash pad is really big, with loads of different areas for kids of different ages. Had loads of fun here. Icecreams and food are also available in the grounds. Toilet block with baby changing facilities also here. Definitely coming back here.

u. u.Successfully adapting with age! Splash pad for younger children to enjoy. Kids take it in turn about 25 mins a group. They love the big bucket fill and soak them all. Bless. Nice park area to relax and picnic. Also play area with slides and and slides plus climbing frame. Plenty for kids to do

P. C.A pleasant suburban park on the western outskirts of Cardiff.
It has nice beds of flowers, trees, and a large grassed area. In addition for children there is a well equipped play area, and a superb splash park.
There is also a nice kiosk selling hot and cold drinks, ice-cream etc
S. S.This is a lovely, traditional Victorian Park with which Cardiff is well endowed. Pretty gardens, playing field, bandstand and a beach volleyball court. Tennis courts. a splash park has replaced the paddling pool. Large and well equipped children's playground. There is the iconic cafe, open in season and a newer coffee shop in the former toilet block on Cowbridge Road East. The park is popular with dog walkers and small children. Friendly, clean and well maintained.
Particularly attractive in the spring with the trees in blossom.

W. R.Great place for the family and everyone alike. Good Central location with buses and ample parking all around. There is a Next Bike station off Cowbridge Road West side (but Nextbike are out of operation until the new year). Walking distance to local shops, post office, dry cleaners, Tesco Express and further down the road is Canton shopping centre.

C. G.Lovely park, easy location, safe paths to walk around and decent playground for the little ones. Lots of dog walkers here but it never feels uncomfortable for a non dog walker. Lots of kids on scooters too but again it isn't too difficult to avoid them. Maybe I have rose tinted glasses as I feel quite nostalgic about it there, I used to go as a child and so did my parents, back in the day when a seal lived there (I think). Worth a visit!

Bloc coffee is definitely worth a cost too for some tasty treats.

K. M.Great park but need to keep seagulls at bay or remove them permanently. They've made the pool area their home and the baby seagulls are constantly surrounding Mama's Place looking for scraps which is dangerous for young children trying to eat there with parents.

E. B.The splash pad in particular is excellent. My children love it! There is a place selling chips, drinks and ice cream. There are toilets too. We also love to visit Claudie's Creperie around the corner.
M. Q. N.Huge but crowded. The small area with water makes it more fun for the children and it's free. I have never seen anything like that. There is a Fish and Chips shop on the corner but if you walk a bit, a lot of restaurants and takeaways as well.

V. L.Victoria Park or "Vicky Park" also known as my Park, is a hive of excitement and activity, they have volley ball courts, tennis courts, even martial arts classes on the grass.
There Is an array of flowers that you can sit down and enjoy among one of the many ideally located benches situated all throughout the Park.
There is a coffee shop at the top end of the park at the Cowbridge Road easy entrance and they have a good kiosk in the middle next to the kids splash Park where you can get both hot and cold drinks chips hot dogs ice creams etc..
Victoria Park has a rich history of entertaining the environment that it sits in and with its period Bandstand still holding a focal point that is often used by the salvation army to play out across the Park.
It is unique in its amenities for a period Park, keep an eye out Billy the resident sea lion
S. D.Brilliant way to waste a few hours. Had to que for 25 mins to get I to the splash pad but it was worth it and as it was so busy it's was only fair to have 25 min session in there. Lots of space to ha e a picnic and dry off. Then have a wonder with a ice cream before finishing off with a play in the Parc. Missing one star becouse parking can be a nightmare but we took a gamble on double yellows.

E. a. V. P.I have been coming here since I was born and we lived just around the corner. The perfect park in my opinion with plenty of space. There are trees galore; ideal for sitting under, climbing or gathering leaves, seeds and nuts for a nature trail. The resident squirrels make an appearance come rain or shine. The splash pad and children's park are currently closed but have a good choice of things to do for all ages. They do get busy when they are open though! Two places with a range of snack and drink options onsite. Well maintained lawns and gardens with lots of benches to sit and catch up on. There are also public toilets that can get messy when the splash pad is open but otherwise are well maintained. Highly recommended.

The Splash Pad is great for warm weather and the nearby kiosk sells drinks, food and ice creams so no need to move too far when hungry or thirsty. The toilets are a bit disappointing as the floor was very wet but that could be from children using them whilst still wet. Plenty of free parking in the surrounding streets too. Great day out and if you take your own food and drinks then budget friendly.

T. R.I grew up here, a beautiful park with lots to do including a splash pad, a tennis court, basketball area, beach volley ball. Lots of quiet green space too. A bit mad in the summer holidays but that's what a park should be like - lively! Great bus links and lots of places to eat near there!

J. P.Really lovely park. Plenty of things for the children to play on. Parking is a bit difficult and the toilets can be a bit iffy late in the day. Great water park in the summer and trampolines. Cafe in the centre seems good too. Plenty of benches and seats. Nice place for a picnic.

The flower beds are attractive and well tended and the paths inside the park make for a pleasant stroll.

At the moment it's the changing colours of the trees, and there's nothing better than wrapping up warm and walking around this fantastic free park.

J.Amazing for children , parking can be a nightmare. Loads of shops nearby and easy to drive to by. It’s also on several bus routes so public transport is an option too.
I would definitely recommend this park .
Edit : the splash park is amazing for toddlers and younger children. Can get a bit stressful with excited older kids running around, but that's to be expected.
D. W.I remember many lovely days spent in Victoria park and the surrounding gardens. My children also love a play when we are in Cardiff cant wait to try out the new splash park. The gardens and flower beds are well kept and beautiful. This park is a real asset to the local community and guests.

Beautiful tended flower beds and a variety of trees - oak, beech, holly to name a few. It has a small cafe near the Splash park. A fantastic place to spend your time
I. O.Nice park in the outskirts of Cardiff. Coffee shop and burger joint near to it. Decent for kids with plenty of street parking all round! Go there but don't tell anyone going good it is!!!

V. S.Love Victoria park but no disabled parking. There are disabled toilets. Need a key. My Grandson is Autistic and loves the park I enjoy watching him laughing so precious. Worth a visit but remember it is a popular park and because of water play area gets packed in school holidays.
G. C.Excellent place for families. I remember it as a kid when it was a blue painted concrete bottomed paddling pool. Of course it was home to a seal prior to that! So highly populated in the summer, water activities and recreational park rides. Then there are, tennis, basket ball etc areas, the council have really got it together here. Pity more parks did not offer the same.
B. D.This is a great park for both children and dogs. Its fenced and gated with some great play area's and open spaces. There is a kiosk that sells both hot and cold food including a lovely range of ice creams. There is also a lovely coffee shop at the Cowbridge Road end of the park that provides outside seating and deck chairs. They even sell wine and beer for the adults.

T. C.Very nicely laid out. Very good children's play area, miniature golf, ice cream stall and a cafe. Lots of small children with families playing and secure gate system to make sure children were safe. Very enjoyable and will definitely go there again.

R. S.Fantastic on a hot summer's day! The waterpark is great fun and even if it's busy (and it definitely will be when it's hot) kids can have a great time! Suitable for all ages. There are also other great facilities- volleyball, tennis, basketball, five aside football, separate football goals, bouncy slide, small crazy golf course, trampolines, flower gardens, swings/climbing/slides/etc. And a kiosk that sells hot and cold food (chips, ice cream, drinks, etc.). It's also a decent size to play ball sports, walk your dog, or have a picnic. A great day out!

Then, for a little more sophistication, the BLOC served a fine coffee and moist coffee and marmalade cake...

E. H.This is a fantastic park where to spend day with family. It's not big but gets kids entertained all day.
Start with fun in water. When kids are freezing, dress them up and move 3 steps further to playground. When they are bored with that, go back to water.
If you're going there by car I would suggest taking camping chair with you as there are no place we're to sit in water park and usually all park benches by playground are taken by other parents.
P. B.One of the nicest parks in the city, great for walking the dog. Has really good facilities, toilets, ice cream shop, tennis courts, basketball court, beach volleyball area. Loads of squirrels in the autumn.

E. N.Victoria Park is a great park for everyone. Notably, it has a great splash park in the summer, well maintained beach volleyball and tennis courts. It has wheelchair accessible children's play area with accessible swings. There is a nice selection of mature trees such as cherry and horse chestnut and it features flowers year around.
Dog friendly, although can get quite busy in the summer so it's important to have good control of your dog as there is often little children, sports and picnics occuring throughout the day.
j. s.A great place to walk and relax. Even though next to a busy road there is quiet in the park. Lots of trees and open space. Play park is usually open but not currently due to covid-19. Currently open 24-7 but park does usually close 30 minutes before sunset. There are tennis courts and a basketball court but these are all currently closed due to covid-19.

Just had coffee sitting on the bench watching the children enjoying the well laid park!! A real gem.

P. N.Beautiful public park. Safe flat walking ideal for children and elderly. Some play areas. The bowling green was replaced by a beach volleyball court (2 nets). Tennis courts are a bit poorly maintained. Even so it's a great recreational space.
v. p.I love Victoria Park it a fantastic place to take the children and with the new splash pool it's even better.fun in the day and a lovely walk with the dog in the evening. BUT......Please be aware that the new coffee shop BLOC that has just opened in the park is run by Michael Paton and last year he was dismissed from is job as a social worker for downloading indecent images of children. This was reported in Wales online and also if you Google his name you can also look at his disciplinary hearing and it was proven. As a parent i feel that anyone with children should be aware.😱
W. L.I love Victoria Park. It has a disabled friendly play area for children, open spaces for sports like rugby and football, tennis, sand volley ball and football courts. It has a large selection of old trees and has retrain its Victorian charm with a gazebo and formal garden.
The water park that has replaced the old pool has rejuvenated the area tremendously. On hot days, the park sounds like a theme park with children screaming with glee.
There are also toilets available which is always great when you are out and about with kids far from home.

A. D. (.Victoria park is a great all round park. There is plenty of space to relax with a picnic or play ball games. There are two play areas, one for toddlers and the other for older kids with enough activitys to keep the little ones entertained for hours. Sadly filled in the latter years which is a shame as the children really e joyed it on a hot day it also used to have a fantastic fountain ⛲👍

M. S."Vicky Park" was already pretty good with it's large paddling area and 3 age related play areas, not to mention the snack kiosk, a brick building right next to the paddling pool that's now, I believe, in it's Fifth decade.
Now it's even better as the paddling pool has been revamped into a varied, but still watery themed, runaround area. There are various fountain type, er ...things and a Large bucket on a tower that slowly fills and then tips out over a shaped board to the delight of the children, (and a few adults), eagerly awaiting the widespread shower that ensues.
It gets extremely busy in the summer, as you might imagine. I recommend bringing a foldout chair if you are there to supervise. At the least a soft something to sit on as the floor surrounding the water area, and within the railings surrounding it, is concrete.

We had access to a beatufully clean sandy area, the kids had a beach party, some - including adults- played volleyball. The music was youtube through great speakers - our choice. A gazebo and deck chairs were supplied. Indoors was superbly set up for the kids to eat and sing pen blwydd hapus. The other courts were open and full of enthusiastic friendly players. Carl the owner was brilliant. I could go on lol. Please visit, it's great.
The rest of Vic park is also great with an underused bandstand. Let's get the Sally Army there on a Sunday . Happy days.

J. G.At park today with grandson (3), all was well until he needed a pop!! Gents one cubicle available, dirty and no toilet paper!! What do I do? Had to take him to ladies!!! Luckily empty!!
