Reviews of Roseburn Public Park
I.
A good number of benches facing the sun. Good big grass areas for team sports. A Cricket club play here. A properly done large mural for a ARP station which operated here in the war. An information board on uses of the park over the years. A new children's playpark.

It's a very nice open area park with a shallow river nearby that's great for paddling in. It has a great play park for young children, picnic tables, a table tennis area and you can sit in the sunshine and watch the local cricket teams play during the summer.
R. B.
Rugby event. A lot of fun. Can’t wait to come back next year!
N. C.
Great wee public park/playpark full of friendly locals and their weans/dugs. Awesome café provision nearby at Roseburn Terrace - @Edinburgh_CC, please do something about public toilet provision - buildings and plumbing already in place, you owe it to your residents and visitors
S. b. t.
Clean and tidy. Well supplied with bins. Great view of Scotland's national rugby stadium.
T. F. L.
It's a park. Parks are - if litter-free and trouble-free - pleasant places to spend a little time. It was early & pretty peaceful and quiet, with some lovely blossom still on the trees - so it was nice to sit for 15 mins to take a break from a cycle ride & have a flask of tea to warm up.
D. Y.
Home of Murrayfield Wanderers and they played and won a thrilling game yesterday against Strathmore, get down and watch on a Saturday afternoon you'll be entertained.
B. M.
Walk here 4 times a week, great park.and always clean.
a. s.
Very nice small playpark, next to the cycle path. Lovely place, good quality equipment - a rare gem in Edinburgh, highly recommend.
Well maintained by Edinburgh council, clean and tidy.
W. F.
Roseburn park is ideal for taking dogs for a walk. There are bins and entrances and exits for poo bags. Lots of different friendly dogs.
N. S.
Right in front of the Murrayfield Rugby Stadium. Nice walks and good play areas for the kids. Decent cricket and pitches for both kids and adults. Ice rink is just round the corner too!
G. R.
Excellent park, very well equipped.!! 🎈
S. S.
Nice children's play park. Grassy areas good for football, frisbee throwing, etc.
I. B.
Fantastic a hidden gem of plants shrubs and great architecture. A must see for everyone ! Kids will love it too
A. M.
good open space, varied use, limited public amenities
J. M.
We had a great time here yesterday. Especially in the play park and stopping off to feed the ducks. It was such a great place to be on such a lovely day. The park was so clean which was another bonus
R. P.
It’s a park with a skate park, play park for the kids with a Astro pitch at the top
R. M.
Play area is good. Big playground.
D. B.
Lovely big park with play area. Right next to Murrayfield stadium and easy to join the Water of Leith or Union Canal. Public toilets also available. Short walk to either Stockbridge or Saughton Park which has a cafe.
M. S.
The swings are great but the play structure isn't. The steps are quite high so my 18month old can't play on it by herself but it's an awkward shape for parents to help children navigate. The slide is also really small/best for under 18 month olds which doesn't make sense since the steps are so large.
A. I.
Toilets closed and no handy trees. Open more toilets please Edinburgh Council.
A. C.
Beautiful green space right in front of Murrayfield Stadium!!
S. S.
It's a great place to walk, sit, relax or range your dog, but why do they feel the need to cut the grass, what seems every other day. My rating would have been higher if Edinburgh Council or the relevant people didn't insist on cutting the grass that frequently
R. A.
As everyone says! This is a great open Green space for Sports & Dog Walking .. but more importantly.. It's also a hub for a myriad of paths, which reach out to the edge of Edinburgh & way beyond!!!.. From Roseburn, you have connections to Leith along the river, or up onto the Cycle path network to Granton. The other direction is Saughton Park & way beyond... Eventually you'll meet the canal path.. Well, its Glasgow after that!!
A. B.
Very large open space. Brilliant for picnics, small ball games, cycling, dog walking and toddlering around!! Wee park though is for 2 and above I'd say as it's mostly a climbing frame with a slide. No swings.
R. K.
Pleasant, peaceful area near Rugby Stadium.
A. R.
Lovely park with path alongside the river Water of Leith. Wildlife can be seen at times, heron are fairly frequent and occasionally otters in other areas of the river. Perhaps sometime at Roseburn, keep looking. Wide grassy areas, small play park.
A. J.
A good park next to water of leith and Murrayfield stadium.. lots of place to play sports and do picnics.
H. C.
Great space for people with families or socially distancing with friends. Great scenery and well maintained. Has the cycle/pedestrian path running along side it too
J. P.
Large public park with play area, and also marked out for cricket matches. Popular with those walking dogs, walking/exercising/exhausting children, and cyclists avoiding main roads. Currently no public facilities (ie toilets) which is a drawback for those intending to spend time there.
D. H.
Great dog park and loads of space to let your dog have a good run
G. R.
Lovely park with benches for sitting. There is cricket played in the summer. New children's play park. Popular with dog walkers. It is a through route for cyclists.
A. M.
Well kept park. My concern is the speed of cyclists along the path especially around the changing rooms area where I have witnessed a couple of near misses with pedestrians and children exiting the changing rooms.
B. G.
Beautiful in the evening sun, lovely river side walk, open grass to play on and a lovely sunlit wall to sit against and read!
P. L.
A nice park, especially now that the "friends of Roseburn park" has been established. Cricket is played here in the shadow of Scotland's international rugby ground and there is plenty of room for the kids to run about, just be aware that people take dogs here!
A. M.
A bit plain but nice to cycle through or kick a ball around. New playpark is much nicer than the old one. Shops in nearby Roseburn if you need a snack.
L. “. M.
Not the most scenic stretch of the river.
S. S.
Nice patch of green. Spoilt by the constant mowing of the grass. The cuttings are left so your feet get covered in them . Also the guys that mow drive at excessive speeds and would run you,or your child or your dog over!
D. N.
It is a good place to take the kids there. They can run around and play with the dogs from many dog walkers
H. T.
This is a common route for me when out cycling as it links up to the cycle paths down to Crammond. There has been a huge improvement made to existing paths also making it safer and easier to navigate along with new bridges built and a lot of work to The water of Leith bank areas that has facilitated areas to sit and relax. Come along and see for yourself !
J. G.
Lovely park to chill, run, family, bbq, nice place
I. K.
Walk through here often on my way to work. Be careful of cyclists. Water of Leith is lovely and relaxing. Plenty of grass to lie on when it's sunny, and several benches too.
C. C.
Great place to start walking or cycling in different directions ie Corstorphine Hill, into Town .
B. F.
Good to see the park being used for cricket and rugby training. Kids playing on the swings and families having BBQs and picnics on a lovely evening.
L. O.
The friends of Roseburn Park have done a great job and my husband and I use the table tennis table and the chess board regularly.
I would love to see the old public toilet blocks done up or re-purposed as it is a shame to see them in a dilapidated state.
D. H.
Great place for families, dog owners, cyclists and fresh air and exercise.
A. R.
Very cozy and clean park for everyone. It is absolutely suitable for childern. Rubberized surface for childern play area to prevent from injury.
Н. Д.
Love this park. It would be even better if they could put some pull up bars etc (street gym)! I love the ping pong table!
C. M.
nice open space, good kids play park.
a. m.
A lovely park for a stroll or coffee in the gardens very well maintained
A. E.
Nice park for walking, sitting in the summer. Kids playground, sports playing fields, you can also join paths to water of Leith.
C. H.
Nice park but a bit open and windy, not a lot of shelter. However, it's clean and well used.
A. K.
