L. 1.I used to visit the moss all the time as a kid and I had completely overlooked it as somewhere to destress.
After a busy day at work I decided to pull into the station car park and go for a walk to clear my head, it honestly done me the world of good, highly recommend.
m.Lenzie Moss is a local nature reserve and makes for a pleasant walk around preserved peat land. There's a circuit trail around the entire reserve that takes you through woodlands and peat land that takes about 40 minutes to do. Some part feels so densely covered in trees, it feels like you're out in the wilderness, but the walking paths are all well marked, mostly well trodden or wooden planks in the bogland sections
c. c.Just love this place can remember when there were badgers up here 45 plus years ago but still a great walk any time of the year. Love to a walk round just before it's time to pick up kids from school or a leisurely stroll around after dinner with the wife
A. N.Love this place! About 30 minute walk all round and parking in the Lenzie station car park. Lots of wild flowers, grasses and blueberries!
G. F.A great place for walks and taking wee kids and pets. A few historical points up there to see ( the peat works, old short guage railway route and the actual peat cuttings) but they're by the by, great nature reserve to take a wander about.
