h. m.Lived in blantyre for years ,never knew about world war 2 AA battery .
A real hidden gem
P. S.Great place to see this battery buildings were used to shoot planes down during the war and if you take a walk up the hill were the stairs are it will bring you out at the pond great walk for the kids

C.Hidden gem in South Lanarkshire. Fantastic woodland trails for walking and running on the Blantyreferme AA Battery side of the park and a mix of woodland and grassy trails on the Blantyre Priory side of the park. The Battery is worth exploring for the graffiti. Apart from the sadly not-unusual sectarian nonsense, there is some real art on the ruins, too.
