Reviews of Crosby Coastal Park
D. A.
Had a lovely little stop. Reasonable parking charges £1.90 up to 4 hours.
The grandchildren enjoyed the play/Park area and the ice cream £2.50.
Be careful feeding the birds if you have young children. The noise from them was a bit scary as they all descend. Will give that a miss next time.
A. R.
Wonderful area to go and explore. The footpaths around the marine lake is flat & ideal for any accessibility needs making this a great place for everyone. Although access onto the beach is via sand dunes so not suitable for everyone.
The marine lake is a nice place to stand and watch the sunset. You can get some amazing photos on the right days.
Access to the area is super easy on public transport, Waterloo station is within a 10 minute walk and there are multiple bus stops nearby too.
Very dog & family friendly.

I have wanted to visit Antony Gormly's wonderful sculptures on Crosby beach, for such a long time but I never came up this way until this week, to look after a friend's dogs. The installation entitled 'Another Place' is fabulous, magical, very thought provoking, I loved it. The statues are quite far apart. There are 100 in total. I couldn't see all of them as I have bad back pain and can't walk very far, but what I did see was just fantastic and well worth the wait. There are quite large car parks at either end of the beach but these fill quickly on summer days. The beach itself is approached down several steep steps and is not equipped for wheelchair users. It is sandy and great for families with young children. I don't know how safe it is to swim there, I didn't spot any red flags but the shallows would definitely be fine for paddling. Take a flask and sarnies, there were no nearby shops that I could see. There is a cafe somewhere, but too far from where I parked, to see it.
I. M.
Love this coastal area. Each time you go for a walk there is always something different to see. I am so lucky to live 5 mins walk from the beach and my children live going for walks or playing on the beach.
If your not from the area then I really recommend parking up and just walk and lose yourself in the beautiful scenery. There is plenty of places to park in Crosby, you will to pay and display but its not extortionate like some places are.
Please be careful if you venture onto the beaches sinking sand and sandbanks can catch even the most experienced locals and can be dangerous.
O. E.
Great place to have a gentle strolls and breath in the fresh air to help you sleep better :) Wonderful evening and very relaxing place, not to busy considering time of the year, always a great beach to see Antony Gormley ‘100 sculptors which are across the beach.
The beach is each to walk on in most places but do be careful where it’s wet and it’s like sinking sand in parts.
Dog / Pram / wheelchair/ friendly.
Would of loved to take the drone up to capture the sunset but too many people around to do so, maybe another time.
B. D.
Reception staff very helpful.
Beware. Slope into water, extremely slippy concrete covered in algae. Didn't see any caution/warning signs anywhere.
Well kept lake and area clean & tidy.
Highly recommend water shoes, due to beach side having bottles, cans & disposable BBQs, and rubbish left strewn about.
s. b.
Amazing spot with wide open sands, brilliant view and interesting sculpture. Sad to see the lack of cash taking parking meters and access to toilets compromised.
S. W.
Lovely beach to walk along. Beach, prom and wide grassy verge. Dog friendly. A lovely bracing walk after Xmas.
G. H.
relative cheap parking, £1 for 2 hrs, £1.90 for 4.lovely beach and path for walking and seeing Antony Gormley's another place.
J. F.
Wonderful place in a sunny day!
Also there is bus bar on the beach , the food was delicious. I thought I was in Spain for a minute! Highly recommend!
N. S. (. I.
Lovely place to come for a walk on the path or stroll on the beach. Nice marina at ondcdnd Great for picnics.
N. K.
This is a nice place to go for a walk there is a kids park as well as the marina and access to the beach. A number of birds can be seen in the area including Royal Swans Black Swans, Ducks, Geese, Seaguls and Rooks as well as other birds.
B. S.
Nice clean beach, be carefully the sand becomes wet and turns to sinking sink! stay on the dry bits :P
l. e.
Nice beach for a walk and you can ride your bike to formby too.
There's usually a van selling food and drinks. An ice cream van and toilets charging 40p to use.
Parking is cheap at 50p per hour.
S. R.
Great views out to sea and a good place to see the Anthony Gormley statues.
L. S.
I just love walking here and enjoy the fresh air and have a little cold water dip to. I really recommend anyone to have a visit
F. W.
Had a pleasant visit there. Impressed by the car parking charges which would certainly make a visitor return.
Well kept lakes (surrounded by areas for picnicking) with plenty of water based enjoyment for visitors in one and a wild bird area in the other. Saw the rare beautiful black swans there.
On the coastal prom admired some of the Anthony Gormley sculptures while the tide was out.
A.
Just lovely long stretched sandy beach where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset with company. Good place to take your dog out too. Plenty of dog walkers around. Not too busy but not too quiet. Parking available.
G. W.
Not comercialised. Toilets, a coffee cart, easy car parking and miles of sand to walk on. A very surreal experience. Our dog thought it was great too! Well worth a visit.
L. C.
It was very very very windy! But Beautiful so well worth while. Just put your hood up! Lol
N. b.
First time here, gutted a lot of the statues had been removed for maintenance. Gorgeous and clean, no doubt down to the tireless efforts of the beach angels cleaning up after people. Walked over 6 miles without even realising.
i. t.
Amazing place..lovely wqlk trhough the forest qnd beautyfull beach.
A. H.
Nice beach with car parks nearby.
A. A.
Lovely walk along the beach. Nice sunset
m. b.
Cycled there from speke. Beautiful beach, was clean, no rubbish plenty of rubbish bins for use. Has great access to the beach for people in wheelchairs and ramps onto the beach. Stunning place to visit for a day out in the sun or just a walk.
S. T.
Nice beach. Lovely paths. Nice dunes
L. D.
Loved Another Place by Antony Gormley at Crosby Beach. Timed our visit for low tide and saw the installation of iron men and the amazing sunset. Truly a fabulous experience. Loved the fact that visitors had dressed some of the men in football shirts and a mankini. Love the Brit sense of humour🚹🚹🚹 Overall a brilliant place to visit.
D. R.
Nice place for a walk and plenty of bird life it was also used during the second World War as a place to put lots of the ruble from Liverpool homes bombed during the war.
C. W.
My favourite place to walk. Different every time. Some of the main path along the top is inaccessible at present due to the weight of sand but the council make massive efforts to keep it clear in most places. Toilets at the coastguard station are clean and well maintained. They do cost 40p so you need some change available. It also costs to park at the coastguard station but only between 10am and 5pm so an early morning run can be done from there at no charge.
J. L.
It was a nice filling 2 course Sunday lunch in lovely surroundings only reason not 4/5 the meal was not hot enough and was not much improved on asking for it to be warmed but having said that it was tasty and would try it again !!!
E. J.
Beautiful day for a walk along the beach. Scenery is terrific both the natural and industrial. The iron man stand along the beach stretching to quite far out and it is quite haunting, ethereal and beautiful to see them there watching the world go by around them. It's very interesting to see how time and tide has enhanced and affected them, although I think that's part of the point. The dogs thoroughly enjoyed the beach too. Plenty of room to run around for children and dogs alike. The sand does give way to some very soft muddy sand a bit further out and it's advisable to read the information boards first about how far you should go out. Some people do venture further out to see the statues there but we were quite happy viewing those ones from a distance. Definitely something you should see at least once.
W. H.
We had a great family day out .
Nice walk along the beach the sculptures are great.
Nice cafe.
R. W.
Love it here. Great beach, good parking and cheap. Free after 5pm.
I. D.
A fantastic place to be quiet in one of nature's wonders. There's a fresh water lake for water sports too.
P. P.
Crosby Coastal Park was a fascinating place to visit. Buy an ice cream and and explore Antony Gormley's "Aother Place" the most brilliant amd unusual exhibition that I have ever seen. I would recommend a visit but check the tides first so that you can walk on the beach and get close to some of the statues.
G. C.
Beautiful location, gorgeous sunsets and occasionally even live music.
K.
Lovely sunny relaxing walk along Crosby beach. Beautiful views. People kept their distance. Place was clean & tidy. Thought the ice cream van at the car park next to leisure centre was pricey. £2:50 for a tiny tasteless ice cream with a flake.
W. g. o. a. a.
Lovely place for a walk with the dog & kids. Statues are a great talking point. Watch out for tide times - it comes in quick and you won't get to appreciate the statues if you time it wrong.
J. B.
Lovely place although our dog was bitten here! Potential for aggressive animals running freely! After it happened their dog was put on the lead but then let off again about 5 mins down the path 😡 shame really...
L. V.
Beautiful, and well-looked after with nearby amenities. South Road nearby hosts a vast array of restaurants, fast food and various other shops. Close to the marina park is a coffee shop and an ice cream/food and drink stand.
At the furthest end near the children's park, there is the Crosby marina club which features a gym, restaurant and access to water sports and activities. Then the opposite end, Crosby beach with the famous "Another Place" statues (100 cast iron men facing the sea).
It's a wonderful place for people of all ages to visit and I'd recommend it to anyone who can come visit, you'll have a wonderful time.
K. D.
Crosby marina great place for a day out with the family. Close to shops nice cool breeze on the hottest days. Climb over the sand dunes and your on the beach kid's fair pet friendly.
S. C.
Beautiful serene time to reflect the sadness of the past week and hope for the future
M. L.
Great easy interesting walk with lots to see and great for dogs 🐕 👍
l.
A lovely place to spend the day! The beach is beautiful, and there are plenty of forest walks for looking for red squirrels. There's free parking for national trust members & an outdoor gym!
G. H.
Crosby beach (next door) is the permanent home of Antony Gormley's 'Another Place' so gets quite a few visitors wishing to see that installation. There is good car parking which can get busy on sunny days. The site was clean without any appreciable litter. A busy little lake plays home to a sailing school which was in action when we were there. We walked through the park and over the sand dunes by way of the path to the beach and then looked at 'Another Place'. It is an impressive installation and certainly means different things to different people. Like most art it is necessary for someone to see it and form their own opinion rather than rely on someone else's description.
R. W.
Love Antony Gormley so Another Place was a chance to get up close and personal with this art. I love the beach anyway so it was such a great day out.
M. M.
A great place to take the kids. The car park is reasonable, the play park is great and there is a cafe with public toilets.
The beach is about a fifteen minute walk from the main car park.
The sand on the beach can be muddy in parts and the water can be murky due to the mud. But there's still plenty of clean sand areas.
N. O. (.
A complete escape for those very important mindfulness moments x
T. M.
Really great day very hot and sunny great place to get out with family and friends lovely views
S. A.
A fantastic walk along the shore, and picked up loads of drift wood and some pieces of glass and old bricks
C. R.
We live 5 minutes away and we walk our dog here almost daily. Clean and tidy thanks to local litter picking groups
S.
Lovely coastal walk, pay to park car park area all spoiled by a huge wind turbine farm stretching as far as the eye can see. The car park area would benifit from a cafe etc. Great wild fauna to be found here and for people interested in marine traffic the main routes in and out of Liverpool are only a few hundred meters of shore here!
M. M.
Gormley sculptures add a haunting and wistful quality to this historic and beautiful shoreline. There is the option of a 12+K walk along the coast to Southport. A great winter walk.
C. N.
A great beach walk taking in the amazing Gormley statues on the way. Refreshments at either end of the beach makes this a great day out. Dogs loved it too!
T. D.
Why would anyone wantcto go abroad when we have this on our door step . Come and enjoy it . Its free
C. S.
The Anthony Gormley sculptures are sparsely located but have an understated impact on the landscape. There are dunes perfect for playing on and the beach stretches for miles.
s.
Beautiful, rural gardens that are natural and not over maintained. Lots of colourful plants with a variety of colours. Gardens are sheltered from the coastal wind so make for a nice walk / picnic
J. L.
Great place to visit with everything from a boating lake though to play area, duck pond and beach. Make sure you have a full day to visit so you don't miss anything
D. C.
Chose Monday as lot peaceful than weekend. Just admire view and relax. Bliss
J.
I visited Crosby beach just last week with one of my travelling friends. The sunset itself was beautiful as well our ability to get the drones up. Definitely gonna revisit this place when the weather gets a little warmer in the summer! Great place for a family day out or picnic in the summer!
J. J.
It is such a lovely walk when the sun is out, issue is the lack of workers to clean bins walking down the beach front and all bins where over filling but that's the only problem. Fun park near by to take the kids and an ice cream parlor that also serves food near to it to.
M. W.
Great place to take the dog for a run. The converted bus that is a bar and the food place next door makes for a pleasant trip out.
R. A.
Not to busy this place is a Gem.... walked about 10 miles and then turned back on the coastal path . Goes all the way to Lytham .. Past the coast guard stations ...
s. p.
Fantastic views, lovely air, lots of space, not five stars because are the council are now using pay and display parking, have to pay to use the toilets plus you cannot use a Radar key to enter the disabled toilet. Ice cream van and a refreshments and hot snack catering trailer are there
K. H.
Cute! Went at night though so i couldnt see much 🤣
d. w.
My happy place, just love this stretch of coast ... another place by AG, the bus stop by the lake, nice coffee concession at the other end... always a lovely lovely feeling
E.
Fab weather amd a setting sun made this walk with my dogs a total pleasure. Walked along the lakeside where there is a gym and access to water activities a children's park with an amazing Viking ship. Carried along through the sandhills pathway to the promenade walkway to see antony gormley statues in the sand and back through another sand dunes pathway to the landscapes parks. This is a lovely picturesque walk for people of all ages and especially dog walkers
A. W.
Lovely place , nice sandy beach and great sand dunes , park for the kids 😁
J.
Gorgeous park and lake next to Crosby beach. Great place to go with kids, dogs ... or neither :)
a.
There is something rather special on this beach. Modern sculpture artwork, seen against beautiful hills in the far distance fronted by wind turbines; and shipping industrial port to another side. Get a perfect sunset and it really is a beautiful coastline.
C. l. 2.
Crosby Beach is a very nice lots of dogs but my daughter loves dogs so wasn't a problem. Definitely come here again...🙂
D. C.
Parked by the Coastguard station. Tide was out so we were faced with a huge expanse of sand. We took our four years old grandson who was delighted with one of the big ferries to Ireland sailing past us and all the "Iron men" stood on the beach. Lovely promenade and well worth a visit if you haven't seen the Gormley Statues.
The only reason I couldn't give five stars is the lack of places to buy refreshments.
N. H.
Lovely beach with lots of free parking. The statues are nice to go and see. Dogs are welcome too. We had a great day
J.
Busy as always but nice day in a car to watch sunset at the sea go fishing or a walk down the beach
P. n. N.
Lovely place if you wanna walk chill and enjoy the view.i like to walk my dogs there.
R. H.
Such a brilliant place to go and release all the stress and anger to the seas. It's really helped heal me during my path to enlightenment, just please keep it clean for everyone
P. T.
Enjoy watching all the Ships wondering where they're saying to, nice Promenade to walk along Refreshment van usually there
k. O.
A great place to stretch your legs, walk the dog or cycle. Found free parking, and it seems theirs always an ice cream van parked near by. The place was a little hard to find as it's not well sign posted but it's ok with a sat nav. Will definitely be back soon.
T. B.
Double decker beach bar & food 😋 fabulous
C. H.
Lovely place for a nice walk on a sunny day! Great for pets and children with ice creams and pet friendly cafes along the way!
P. W.
Great place to watch the sun go down and the odd cruise ship go by.
We went to Burbo Bank to watch the Queen Mary sailing out after she had visited Liverpool thus we avoided the crowds in Liverpool. Watching the sun going down and the Queen sailing into the sunset more than made up for not seeing the "leaving do" up river in Liverpool. Next time one or more of the queens visits watch it depart from here.
j. s.
It doesn't matter what the weather is like in Crosby it is always beautiful awesome and breathtaking xxx
L. G. m. u. 2. (.
Very good nice for a good day out with the family.
J. B.
A very nice place to have a walk and there is a good cafe near by
K. R.
Clean an tidy, everyone respectful of distance, didnt know car parking charges now apply.
M. W.
When you need to get away from the rush of modern life and take things easy for a couple of hours. Crosby Coastal Park gets you closer to nature - unmatched coastal scenery and impressive sunsets to admire!
J. F.
If you like spend your spare time on beach, that's the right place! Especially, if u r looking for a nice beach close to Liverpool.
E. J.
Came here with my 3yo and our puppy and we all absolutely loved it, plenty of space to park, the beach was huge, and clean, so much space to play on a chilly winter day, it was beautiful we didnt want to leave. It was so worth stating until the sunset though!
g. p.
This is a lovely place to visit ,parking cheap ,dog friendly ,was able to park motorhome here .Sat here for two hours watching the figures slowly disappear under the water.
S.
Nice place to go. And you can see the beach and there's a place for kids to play.
N. C.
Wonderful chill out zone to people watch in the evening as the sun goes down
M. L.
Great day out, especially admiring the Anthony Gormley figures along the beach. Lots of families out as well as dogs. Beach is fairly clean and the choice of both the promenade or the sand provides options for all. Lots of people cycling along the promenade also. Great Crosby station is literally adjacent to the beach front.
A. L.
Fantastic facility on the lake with friendly staff from Sefton Council and the Sea Cadets.
Is an RYA saling centre and facilitates instruction in: Sailing, Powerboating, Kayaking, Canoeing, Windsurfing and Stand up Paddleboarding.
Has on-site hotel style accommodation.
K. H.
Lovely beach walk, ice cream and toilets and very interesting and thought provoking statues!
N. B.
We go all the time! Really big park for kids to enjoy, the lake is fun for crabbing and the beach is over the dunes! Gorgeous place on the doorstep
K. B.
A great stretch of beach very popular with dog walkers. Pay and display car park but the prices are very reasonable. A far better beach for walking than Southport with it's expensive car parks.
J. O.
Nice walks and views you can see right over to Wales car park is £1 for a few hours
P. A.
It's a lovely place, home of the world famous "Iron Men" the children will happily play in the golden sand. Watch the tide come in, the ships motoring past. World famous sunsets, Sand Dunes and its clean too - some places you need change for parking.
G. G.
Amazing sunsets, and a sandy beach with a modern sculpture installation by Antony Gormley (Angel of the North)
P. D.
We love it we walk for miles mostly peace and quiet the new snacks shacki is good food is yummy
R.
Beautiful relaxing place to go if you want to have a walk.
D. B.
visited Crosby after finding Formby too busy. Was really pleasantly suprised, lovely clean beach with lots of amenities close by.
A. C.
Lovely little beach just outside of Liverpool, very clean and great for dog walking. Crosby is only down the road too for a great cinema and some nice little bars and restaurant. The Anthony gormley statues are fun too, these were commissioned by Liverpool biennial a few years ago.
S. A.
Beautiful day. Beautiful beach. Really safe for toddlers to play with the sand. Very nice and tidy. We've had an amazing day out with friends and family. Only thing is missing I think are toilets, because I didn't see it.
M. C.
perfect on a summer evening. Enjoy a walk on promenade or beach with stunning views of the Mersey estuary and Liverpool Bay and stroll between tbe statues forming Anthony Gormley's Another Place.
P. K.
Absolutely brilliant. Lovely views for the family to enjoy. Very windy at times - not too surprising given its location but worth remembering to wrap up warm. Shame not all people using the facilities show equal respect to each other as it is for us all whether walkers, runners and cyclists as should all be able to feel safe.
P. D.
Nice place for a walk
p. v.
Looking at the statues was great, however, look at the tide times before you plan your visit, also at present some of them are not on the beach, they are being refurbished to the north of the car park which you can get to see.
s.
Beautiful bit of scenery to relax. Great for kids and dogs to run and splash too. I enjoy sitting a bit back on the dunes watching the ships go by. Nearly no noise that far back, its lovely.
D. A.
A really good, clean, little park close to the beach and 'Another Place'.
S. P.
Just a lovely crisp walk along a beach
T. E.
Lovely place for a walk with the family. Dog has loads of space to run free on this beach and the children love it too. Great for a quiet walk when the children are elsewhere also. Often windy but a lovely view across the Mersey where you can see much of the Wirral including Bidston Observatory.
D. L.
Lovely stroll along the coast...looking at the wonderful Anthony Gormley statues...
V. C.
Good place to see sunset with sufficient car park
J. B.
Great picnic spot, bring your food or buy from trader's
J.
So lucky to have this on our doorstep and as a recently retired, first time dog owner I have a whole new level of appreciation. Lovely area, fresh air and constantly changing, amazing views depending on the time of day, tides and weather. A little piece of paradise and said to be the true inspiration for The Kinks' Waterloo Sunset - not hard to see why.
j. e.
Love this beach. Can park for nominal fee. Public loos, ice cream van. Safe beach.
D. J.
I absolutely love this open beach that hosts the most amazing sunsets. It is a great place to walk with your dog and unwind after a hard day's work. The only thing to watch out for are the jelly fish, so just be aware of this if you have dogs
g. T.
I love this place. With the amazing Antony Gormley sculptures on the beach, been twice now and are blown away by it !!!
L. H.
This beach is beautiful. Hadn't been before and was desperate to feel the sand between my toes, without travelling too far from home. Interesting to see the men on the beach & said hello to a few! Lol. Wish visitors wouldn't leave litter! Felt like a womble after a couple of hours walking along, picking it up! There are plenty of bins at the entrance! Portaloos were great - and clean. And the Soul Man ice cream van/man is just great! Perfect ice cream & music. Will definitely return in the near future. Had such a lovely day out.
R. H.
A great day out for exploring the area, from beach, to sand dunes, to lake, to park and world famous art installations too!
R. U.
Loads of parking bays, but pay at the machine during your stay. There is a single coffee shop.
J. S.
Fantastic place to wear out the dogs. They loved the sand.
S. H.
A nice place for a stroll and let the dogs have a run. 'Another Place' is very atmospheric and photogenic.
K. J.
A breath of fresh air literally, great beech local shops and restaurants don’t miss out, get out and enjoy
L. M.
Lovely walk on the beach watching the sun going down
D. W.
Amazing beach, with a lovely park near by.
M. K.
Nice place to spend a day off a bit difficult to find a parking on a weekend. Lifeguards on the beach look after people. No toilets!
M. W.
Super cool coastline with an ever-changing seascape and fantastic wildlife, birdlife and history. Well worth a visit
R. F.
A picturesque and beautiful setting ideal for families and small groups. Close to local shops and watersports activities. It is a good bit from Liverpool city centre but if you want a quiet place to stay this is for you.
M. C.
Always great place for short or long stroll. You can choose from beach to fields and woodlands.
a. b.
Nice for a stroll along the beach not suitable for bathing..
K. O.
Fantastic walks, views, and Anthony Gormley s fabulous "Another Place"
D.
Lovely and relaxing walk, even when the weather is wild, really blows the cobwebs away, and the figures on the beach are fantastic. These pics were taken last week, really large jellyfish on the beach.
M. C.
Great for a walk along the seafront, looking at the sculptures, and close up on the beach
G.
Great day out walking on the beach and looking at the "iron men'
Easy free parking, toilets, food and drink available. We will be taking our little dog next time as the beach is dog friendly and he can have a good run and make friends!
D. L.
Lovely because its got a pkay area park aswell as beach and lake
A. C.
Wide open beach (check tide tables!) and sand dunes. Dogs allowed.
T. G.
Beautiful views of The Wirral and N Wales and Snowden today. Apologies to Antony Gormley for Rosie's behaviour!!

Easy walking. Great views. Interesting sculptures.
S. S.
Nice walk and day out at park and beach for the whole family.
Parking fees apply.
No toilets or facilities at the beach which is unacceptable considering how many visitors come here.
Very busy during Bank.Holidays and Weekends
M. C.
Lovely walk along the beach. Plenty of space and easy parking. Please take your rubbish home and keep it clean
D. W.
Been here lots of times, there is a lovely path along the coast line. It can get quite busy so go early. The Anthony gormley statues are here as well.
G. H.
Lovely beach but alot of rubbish left recently - big play park & lovely marina
D. H.
Staff faultless breakfast spot on will be staying again when in Liverpool cheers 🍻
G. R.
Lovely beach, Anthony Gormley sculptures are fantastic.
D. T.
Great place to go to with family or by yourself for a chill day. Or even a run along the beach. There is a park local as well as a café. Plenty of parking spaces in the two parking areas and I'm pretty sure parking after 5pm is free...Don't quote me on that😅Been coming here for years and one thing I love to do is make holes. This one I made hits water which I found pretty cool. I covered it back up by the way!
H. B.
Lovely beach and the wonderful Anthony Gormley statues, but we definitely prefer Formby beach!
S.
100 cast iron figures facing towards the sea. The figures are modelled on the artist's own naked body.
M.
What a fantastic place, though counting the statues on the beech could take you some time.... I calculated that there were 100
N. C.
Calm and amazing. The food outlet there just the best. Chips and onion gravy is a must try dish
C. B. D.
Great place for a short break. As long you will find a quiet place.
J. D.
Great for dog walking or just chilling
S. N.
Gorgeous walks and never gets over crowded. A gem of a place
E.
Fantastic beach amazing views bring nice bit food and drink for kids and spend day there plenty lovely restraunts up the road
j. f.
We have been here several times but today was a first with hide tide, the statues were mostly under water except for the odd one or two heads we could see. Further up we could see full figures standing proudly on the beach. I'd recommend this exhibition to everyone it is worth seeing
P. M.
Went early to pick up plastic from the beach, whilst a very clean beach I still recovered a significant amount of plastics.
E. Y.
Good place to relax with the family and friends, best when weather is warm and not too windy, always a pleasure to go, as the beach by it is always clean, there is also crosby swimming baths nearby
P. M.
Beautiful place. I have loved it since I was a child
A. B.
Fantastic place to see Antony Gormleys "Another Place". Make sure you arrive after the tide has started to retreat. Parking isn't too expensive and the ice cream van does the best tasting ice cream I've had.
L. S.
Anthony Gormleys, Iron men. Definitely worth a visit with a walk along the beach
J. B.
Great for just a walk with your family and certainly great for dogs. One of the car park machines was not taking cash but you could phone through for a ticket.Could do with some seats on the coastal path just to catch your breath and take in the scenery.
B. C.
I visited at sunset. Antony Gormley's statues dot the very nice beach. Peaceful and beautiful.
J. W.
Fabulous walk for dogs together with tremendous art works.. Unspoilt and relaxing.
G. I.
Calming, popular, big enough to get peace. Kids play at a nice distance that can be seen from anywhere you choose to relax. Strong play equipment that has used the hills and grounds in an environmental friendly rustic way. Mixed age groups from toddlers to the seniors. I alway said that even the parks would be charging to park in soon. This one does. Pay and display. 70p per hour. Good for a run and a walk. boat hire, gym, bistro.
J. S.
Free parking after 5 and good for a walk and paddle
G. S.
Lovely, great place to go for a bike ride or walk
D. B.
This was amazing place to visit love seen the sculptures appearing out of the sea so magical. It's well worth a visit.
S. F.
Unusually the tide was right in against the sea wall at the car park but a short walk to us to an excellent uncovered beach. Facilities are good here with public toilets, ice cream and food vans although £2.50 for a plastic cup of not very nice tea was a bit steep
G. W.
Lovely beach that stretches out for miles , with the amazing looking figures set in the sand , magical .
M. P.
Very peaceful. Strange place with Iron men though.
N. G.
Crosby beach a perfect way to spend a few hours especially if the sun is shining. also you get to see the gormley statues in the sand which is amazing.
B. M.
Misty day today...But lovely walk along the beach and back. Then the sun burnt through and turned out beautiful. Lovely views across the lake and river.
V. R.
Amazing beach and Iron men installation. Beautiful, windy and mysterious. Highly recommended to visit and have a walk there.
M. N.
It's incredible beach I like that place everyone wanna visit there go ahead now 😀
C. T.
Lovely place to stroll along and to watch visitors gasping at the Ironmen
D. Y.
Fabulous, if bracing walk to blow away any Christmas cobwebs.
M. P.
Always love this place. Always something to see and the people watching is first rate.
E. L.
Can be busy and still tranquil. Great views, ice cream van on site and a quick drive to decent chippys. Watch the sunset, watch the tide go in or out. Or just let the kids play it's clean but hard for the kids to dig due to all the rubble which I think was intentionally placed to help combat coastal erosion Parking is cheap but free in the evenings.
T. T.
Great vault in these times of limited Disposable income
Just lacking atmosphere
D. T.
Crosby Beach... Nice place to visit... plenty of space... dog friendly
T.
Nice and calm beach with a place to get some food
M. O.
Lovely beach, with a geuinely pleasant route. Also enjoyed the great park that kept my children happy/busy with multitude of slides, swings, etc. Obviously, the weather being good always helps (especially at this time of year!)
J. H. V. F.
Lovely beach, always fun with the family.
S. K.
Big open beach with great views over to the Wirral, Wales and the mountains. Made better with the metal statues of Anthony Gormley and the passing of the Queen Mary 2.
S. B.
Anthony Gormley 'Another Place' provides numerous photo opportunities especially with the industrial backdrop of the Liverpool docks and the busy Mersey shipping lanes.
P. L. (.
Great place to relax and enjoy the view,,
K. C.
Go there two or three times a week, love it. Different tides, different weather, always changing. Dramatic in winter, beautiful in summer. 2 of iron men are learning to swim at the moment.
D. B.
I live locally so trying to be honest. I would say it's a lovely location and a mugged appreciated community asset, but Sefton Council need to spend some money on refurbishing the marine lake and surrounding paths and the promenade is constantly being blocked by sand.
K. C.
Fascinating and eerie. Watch out for the mud, as it gets pretty deep & won't let go of your shoes.
ச. ப.
Good for kids and family.. quite and nice sands
C. B.
Beuatiful area for a nice walk along the beach.
The site of Anthony Gormley's
'Another Place'
E. A.
Wonderful place lots to do with the kids
s. s.
Peaceful and quiet! Large area so provides space for everyone.
l. a. e. x.
Had a lovely day ,kids in the water ,playing in the sand ,lots of people all being nice to each other . Then around the lake to the park. Kids still full of energy unlike the grandparents who are ready for bed.😁
L. P.
We went late to the beach. It was a lovely night. The beach was clean and clear with lots of space for socially distancing if you so desired. Lots of fun then great fish and chips after.
N. H.
Crosby Coastal Park is home to its largest lake, named Marine Lake, and the other lake next to it.
C. D.
Love this beach! Plenty of amenities and loads of fun for the kids too! Definitely worth a visit!
k. c.
Great for bike ride destination has toilets and usually a lil van selling drinks ..you have to pay to park though
j. M.
The coastal park is cool for the kids lots of activities there, once boredom kicks in there,s a nice walk along the coastal path to the sand dunes, we then walked through the dunes onto the beachfront. Great walking great views. Great place👌
S. F.
Cold, wet and windy. Feel sorry for the men in the sea. Tide goes out fast
N. D.
They have made a start on clearing sand from the path. Please keep it up.
Dog walkers: please take your dog waste home with you. Also, keep control of your animals, we don't all love your pests jumping up us!
M. H.
Lovely place to walk or ride in sun, wind even rain. Beach is also lovely to walk on especially if the tide is out. Now it is summertime you can get coffee and hot take away meals as well as cooldrink and ice-cream from the food trucks.
L. P.
Second visit here but now the restrictions are beginning to lift it was a lovely atmosphere everyone was keeping their distance and spreading out. It was fairly busy but still plenty of space for everyone! Little ice cream van was busy but he was so quick you barely stood in the line plus he accepts card 👍Dog friendly beach my little pup loved his calm day out!
L. H.
It's a fine wide open beach that can, like any UK shore, get a bit bleak in winter. Best features are the Anthony Gormley statues embedded in the sand. So good and just a wee bit more subtle than The Angel of the North.
My dog, though not much for conceptual statuary, loves the dunes that reach from here up as far as Southport
J. S.
Lovely. Take 40p
D. E.
Clean beach, wide open spaces, felt safe with lifeguards patrolling & lots of great dogs!
M. P.
Just love seeing all the kid playing ,paddling also a lot of memories from my childhood, sand in your butties love it
C. S.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PART OF OUR GREAT COUNTRY 🥰
G. W.
A lovely walk on sunny evening with views over the Mersey estuary and passing ships. Also the site of Gormley's 'other place'. Statues embedded in the sand far out to sea.
A. C.
Something I have always wanted to see, it did not disappoint at all.
R. V.
Lovely place to spend a sunny day with my family and friends!
A. M.
Peace and quiet within cycling distance of the Iron Men and great views across to North Wales. On a clear day the Snowdon range and Great Orme can be seen.
W. C.
One of my favourite places to visit
J. P.
Beautiful beach an gardens
A. J.
We have never been to Crosby so was quire surprised to see how lovely it is. Good walk along the sea front.
No charge for parking.
We really enjoyed it and will definitely visit again.
R. W.
I always enjoy visiting Crosby beach and seeing the iron men figures, great fun nice to see even these are staying safe
G. J.
Really great place to go with the family or with friends swimming is great and little bar looks good too xx
R. W.
Excellent place for walking and spending the day on the beach. Our time there, the statues were on the beach lots of them!
p. n.
Disabled Toilet needed some attention. Door Handle broke. General Clean up. More regular. Burger very nice. X
T. M.
One of my favourite places in the city
C. B.
Lovely place for a walk, brought our dogs too.
Free parking by the leisure center or very cheap parking by the RNLI centre
Resident ice cream man and coffee trailer either end
Toilets are 40p to use and were clean
W. G.
Anthony Gormley 's sculptures are quietly powerful.
J. B.
Well worth a visit great place for kids and adults
S. K.
A great place for a walk but some of the footpaths should be fixed up.
a. S.
Love a walk along this coastal strip way, you can also sit and rest up if you want and watch others go by, you can also get a tea or a coffee from a van or there's an ice cream van too, but these are mobile and only there and open at certain times of the day...
L. E.
Fished the rocks great time with my lad
A.
Weather lovely when you can get it, all round great day out with amenities
L. W.
Lovely place to sit and relax or enjoy a walk
P. W.
Always good to get to the beach with the kids.
J. 1.
Lovely place to sit + watch the World go by. Nice day at the beach.
B. B.
Nice warm day, Lovely place to visit, Close to baths/toilets/ snacks, kids will love it.
D. W.
Awesome beach, truly.
D. B.
Beautiful any day.. my favourite place for such a long time...
c. h.
Great panoramic views across Liverpool bay to the Wirral and Wales.
J. J.
Gorgeous place to visit with the family on a sunny day
S. R.
We went for a new year's day walk along the coastal path, returning via the road. Seems a very nice place.
D. H.
Lovely day for a socially distance cycle along the coast
B. N.
Amazing place to visit in a sunny sunday
J.
Fabulous views and a lovely walk.
R. C.
Stunning views, great park.
L. R.
Gorgeous place, interesting nice cafe, lovely beach and Gormley's men really cool.
a. o.
Great place with lots of activities. Shame it was low tide and bit windy.
Y. E.
I like bringing my dogs here for a run on the beach and dunes. A beautiful, peaceful place!
M. T. C.
Great for a quick visit , always busy and great to watch the ships passing through.
J. R.
Beautiful place to visit whether for a plod along the beach, the coastal path or just to sit and read.
The coffee and ice cream vans are usually there . Parking is very reasonable and public toilets 40p.
B. S.
Beautiful views. Very calm place to visit. The tide goes out for miles
G. c.
Wow what a find for us kids had a fab day with a picnic
T. W.
The beach was wonderful, Anthony Gormley's figures in the sand were thought-provoking and the Bus cafe was great (live musician and all!). The (seasonal?) fun fair helped make it a super day out for all. Highly recommend it.
M. D.
Sunshine watersports beach food and beer. Whats not to like....
Oh yes the parking fee. Check because the traffic wardens are brutal
S. B.
Fantastic beach, just a shame not enough things to do on the beach, 1 place to have a drink, not enough variety, but otherwise Fantastic.
D. T.
Lovely beach, sculptures and a beach bar-bus!!!
J. C.
If your a Photographer you have to visit mind your wellies and a tripod.
A. K.
A great place to visit. We went on Wed 26/08/2021 and the beach was not crowded so there was lots of space for the children to enjoy the sand and sea. The Antony Gormley statues are amazing to see, although some are partially buried now by sand. This may have been the sculptor's intention. For a restful change there is the Adelaide Garden which offers tranquility to grandfathers like me whilst the grandchildren enjoy the sand dunes. On the beachfront is the Bus Yard Bar; a double-decker bus (non-moveable) serving coffee and drinks to be enjoyed on the upper deck of the bus or on the surrounding tables. Fast food (great burgers & chips) is also sold. The site blends in well with the beachfront and is, I would say, complimentary to the area rather than intrusive. The whole area is well worth a visit and is a most enjoyable day out.
l. h.
Plenty of parking spaces great play area for the kids, sand dunes and sea, get out there and see for yourself
D.
Very peaceful, beautiful walk along this beach seemed to go on for miles. Was a lovely sunny day car park was almost full but still enough room to walk alot without feeling crowded. Who new such lovely beaches "up North "!!! The sculptures on top of that a great bonus.
L. G.
A nice picturesque place to visit. I love coming here for a stroll or to just sit and do nothing.
L. S.
It is a lovely spot to relax and watch the shipping in the River Mersey. Walk your dog along the front. Check out the War time building remnants. View the famous Iron men. Good day out.
L. N.
Very eventful visit. Beware of the sinking sand everyone.
K. H.
As the elements take their toll, the statues are decaying. Poingnant.
J. H.
What an enchanting place. You do feel like you're in another place.
N. S.
Beautiful coast line good cheap day out 😎😎
I. M.
Interesting beach of Anthony Gormleys figures. They were either putting 2new figures up or replacing them after being cleaned. Icecream van and refershment van in the carpark. There are also toilets at the car park.
L. B.
Beautiful walk, with lovely views.
A. H.
Very lively on a sunny day, Anthony Gormley sculptures well worth seeing
王.
Clean environment &beautiful scenery!😍😍
W. D.
Just a nice place to walk
C. H.
Children happy, could easily spend a day here looking at the ships that sail past. Nice clean beach.
J. c. 8.
Great place for a sunset, recently with the nice weather
C. M.
Fascinating attraction. We got there when the tide was in so walked length of the beach as it started going out. We then sat and had a picnic watching the figures appear.
J. W.
A great place to go to walk, enjoy the views and the Antony Gormley art installation. 2 places to park at each end of the beach. Both with loo facilities and food. The coastal park car park is close to the gorgeous historic houses of Waterloo so worth a wander around the streets. It also has a small cafe. Dropped a star because of the zeal of the local traffic wardens so be careful you're not late back to your car (not so at the other car park)
J. L.
Love coming here with our dog, great views of Wallasey and Wales on a clear day.
S. V.
It was nice and not too crowded. Though not great facilities in terms of rest rooms
J. M.
Always fab, different sky & tide enhancing iron men 🙂
C. C.
Beautiful walk. Would recommend wellies or walking boots.
K. M.
Lovely clean beach. I usually take my westie Cooper for a walk around the marina and along the beach. He loves it especially when the tide is in. Wide open space where you can walk and feel safe because it never feels crowded. There is a nice cafe aptly called Waterloo Sunset where I usually pick up a great coffee and if I am feeling decadent a delicious cake too.
A. S.
Fantastic place, family and pets friendly
T. B.
Very nice walk (what bit I managed to walk). Clean, litter free but there are a lot of bicycles so if you are taking children or pets, (be aware that the odd cyclist will not slow down) but that was only one of them. Majority of cyclists were pleasant and obliging. Leads to beach and if you want food, the chippy van is good but not cheapest (captive audience).
Y. H.
The iron men need digging out. In danger of disappearing under tons of sand. The whole coastal park needs looking after. Come on sefton Council pull your finger out. Lovely tennis ball memorial to some much loved dog whete you can get a tennis ball for your dog. We loved that as our dearly departed pooch loved this beach as well.
D. W.
A nice place to go walkies, especially at low tide when you can walk closer to the sculptures.
S. I.
Lovely beach and great to have it on my doorstep!
J. S.
Lovely wander along a new walk for us.
J. D.
Very near the mouth of the Mersey, so if you want unfettered views of sea, sand and sky, probably not for you. Wind turbines feel really close as do ships as they sail in and out of Mersey. I know a lot of kids would be fascinated by activity though. There are industrial cranes clearly in view from beach, as well as the city itself. You definitely know you're at a port. With addition of the iron men statues, the whole place has quite a 'busy' feel compared to most beaches, even when there are only a couple of dog walkers on it. Tide goes out quite far so its a good beach for a walk. Carpark pretty much on the beach, as well as the Leisure Centre which allows use of toilets. Only ever been here mid-week when there have been very few ppl about, I'm guessing during the summer hols, it could be a bit crazy.
D. G.
Fantastic beach, with great views of the port.dog friendly as well
L. C.
Went to see Gormely's Men. Weren't disappointed. And saw some great kites too.
R. T.
Visited a few years ago and again recently it was interesting to see how the sculptures had aged beautiful place
just need more bins for the litter or perhaps people could take it home?
K. H.
Oops one fell over! Anthony Gormley's instalation is fantastic. Best viewed when the beach is desolate
D. R.
Good for a long walk. Lots of beach, Gormley's iron men for added interest. Parking at the south end of the beach can be had for free. Only gripe, the footpaths are under feet of sand in places so you are forced onto the beach. May not be suitable for disabled in those places.
M. T.
Very clean, beautiful views. Toilets in place. It was very windy but still worth to visit
J. B.
A great place to enjoy the outdoors and only a short distance from Liverpool.
P. C.
We came to see the Gormley statues... They were amazing... The weather was really wet and windy
K. M.
Beautiful private beach to watch sunset but note that the accessible path is not quite accessible ( the one from car park was full of sand and we had to lift and carry the pram for 50 yds or so )
T. L.
Great place to visit and walk. Once past the marina and onto the beach you could walk for miles, tides permitting. Amazing that such a place of beauty sits cheek by jowl in a busy dockland area. Good to get up close to an evolving art installation.
D. M.
Very good for walking dogs but I love the photos you can take here good spot for other photographers Very good unfortunately I was not able to go into the place because of lockdown restrictions in my local area it would definitely be worth going in there again as I have been before lockdown started
G. S.
Promises more than it delivers if you are looking for something special.
S. B.
Lovely place to relax and chill
A. M.
Brought back childhood memories for my wife, walking round the park. There was a small stream, sadly dried up now.
S. W.
Beautiful beach! With amazing art.
G. J.
Very popular with walkers and cyclists. Avoid peak times. Go early in the day to enjoy the peace and quiet. A walk on the coastal path can be a real tonic.
I. A.
Nice place but too much rubbish and drunk youths
S. F.
Fabulous freedom with fresh sea air. Lovely for walks
I. W.
Lovely beach park with good facilities - sports centre, marine lake, cafe, toilets etc. Good paths for walking for those of all abilities. Of course the jewel in the crown is the Antony Gormley installation - Another Place- which brings a haunting beauty to the beach and makes it well worth a visit just by itself
M. C.
Lovely place great beach ☺️
P. G.
A fantastic place to walk my dog. Wish the cyclists would stop using it as a race track though
Y. J.
Its lovely here. Come and see the iron men. Great place
B. C.
Nice place to go for a walk with the kids, beach and sand dunes, with nearby facilities, also has the bus yard, restaurant and bar
A. B.
Fabulous beach. The sculpture Another Place is awesome, weirdly surreal, seeing these iron men getting covered by the sea when the tide comes in. Love it, will definitely visit again.
b. w.
Lovely place to take the kids and dogs in any weather. Great walks and lovely beach. When the tide is out and you walking on the beach beware the sinking sand, be careful and watch where you and your pets walk. Alot of people and pets have already gotten stuck there.
O. H.
Wonderful place enchanted with hundred of statues, really nice. But the wind is totally crazy!
N. D.
Great place to visit with the dog, will definitely be going again.
K. L.
Views and walk on beach or path fantastic
C. N.
Used to love coming here but they have added parking costs and yet the area needs lots doing to it. There ground is terrible and it looks more scruffy each time we go. The toilets are good but are expensive compared to others you pay for and don't see why. The coastal path itself is great. A lovely place to walk the dog. It gets very busy with cyclists, runners and walkers. The food van is fab. The ladies who run it are so friendly and the food is yummy. Worth going just for them.
B. B.
Great beach and practically empty if you walk not that far away from the crowded bit( and this is in summer) great beach and some people may find the 100 naked men statues scattered around the beach interesting
M.
Nice place to spend a day out with family (during hot weather).
T. H.
sea and nature close to town... pretty clean considering!
L. B.
Love taking my 3 children here. Lovely clean beach. Great seeing the iron men (Another Place) and getting pictures of them next to them each year as they grow up!!! Cafe is great too - at the marina. Also recommend a cafe in Waterloo village (South Road) called Write Blend. Great day out!
S. A.
Great beach-side fun. Fab playground with something for all ages. Parking next to water sports centre with free to use toilets. Parking gets busy on warm summer days. Small cafe and ice cream van open on most visits. Parking is now pay and display (since 2017).
j. K.
Beautiful. Can walk easily from here to Blundell sands or Formby along coastal path or beach.
P. S.
Great walk for dogs cheap parking near by
B. H.
Excellent place for dog walking
P. M.
Just relaxing, lovely views and all the wildlife in the marina make it a nice place to be.
d. k.
Fantastic place to spend a few hours
M.
A beautiful area of Crosby/Waterloo. Great for a walk with friends and family. Also has a great playground for children and a few outlets for food and drinks. Would highly recommend.
A. L.
Beautiful place
m. s.
I love this coastline. Anthony Gormelys Another Place never fails to delight
I. J. P.
Great for walking the dog, relaxing with kids, and just enjoying a bit of the outside. Car park charges apply by coast guard station, but parking by Crosby baths is free. Great place to see the iron men as well. Food and ice cream van located by coast guard station. Pay to use toilets also there.
N. P.
Summer time is amazing nice for walking and relaxing.
Any other time is quite cold and windy but then again I'm not from UK so it might just be me.
The water is very dirty so don't expect anything else out of the beach expect to just look at it.
p. c.
Are dog loves it ,me to boss on nice day.or not.good for walk
H. S.
Lovely walk enjoyed by all the family. Parking costs decent too
f. l.
I was surprised to see the statues; in different stages of sinking; on the beach. I thought they were very clever and made me smile.
The beach is good and clean and the sand is lovely. A few years ago my son got stung by jellyfish on the beach because he didn't know what they were but it's such a nice beach, just be careful :)
E. B.
I just love it here
P. T.
Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a family function. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and spacious, (all are wheelchair accessible). They offer free use of the gym (not that I took advantage of this!), and there is a lovely bistro / cafe on site for drinks and food during the day. Although food was not available in the bistro in the evening it is only a 5 minute walk to some great restaurants on South Road
J. G.
A beautiful afternoon on a bright November day.
l. d.
Is really good for a walk - hard as you want, elements can add though, no sandwich van now sadly..
A. M.
Love this beach, lovely stroll and the statues make an interesting feature. The marina lake is beautiful to walk around. Shame about the ice cream van spoiling the peace with dance tunes blasting out, not that I'm against that but there's a time and a place!
R. S.
A bracing walk with stunning views!
J. C.
Really enjoyed the visit. Took the train from Liverpool, very easy and scenic.
N. H.
Went to see the sculptures. They didn't disappoint. Perfect weather which added to the experience. Toilets available which were pretty decent for 'portacabins' although if you didn't have 40p you would have a problem. Great place to give the dogs a run. Lots of parking.
P. W.
One of our favourite places.
P. A.
I had occasion to visit and was very pleasanly surprised at how well the park was kept. A big thank you to all the people involved for the tireless work you do keeping the park clean, tidy and well groomed.
( Is that how you describe a park?)
Great place to go for a stroll or a picnic.
Many thanks.
J. H.
Beautiful place. Always worth a visit.
J. E.
This beach is brilliant, this is the Anthony Gormley beach and has one hundred men going out to sea. The parking is pay and display, but quite cheap. It is well worth a visit. Lots of people cycling, and there did seem to be a lovely path ,to walk or cycle. A very long beach approx 2 miles.
c. r.
Good place to see "Another Place" - probably. The tide was in and the mist was down so we could only partially see 3 statues. Check tide and weather before visiting 🙄
J. R.
Lovely place to go to a walk and blow away the cobwebs, read a book, have a wander....m
C. G.
Fantastic day out! We spent the morning in the park, had a picnic on the grass the walked down and spent the whole afternoon at the beach. Certain parts could do with a clean and there were a few dead fish washed up but we still had a great day.
M. S.
Nice place to go for walk, free parking. Can only recommend 😉
J. O.
A surreal and interesting experience. Don't expect stellar facilities such as foot washing etc but if you are out for a back to basics beach day out with a difference this ticks all the boxes. My son particularly loved shooting the statues with his nerf gun!
U. D.
Our Default Setting of a place to go & watch the sunset & wind down after work. Been visiting long before Anthony Gormleys Iron Men appeared !? & had many a picnic on grassy area , wen kids were younger & flying kites too & playing frizzbee. Toilets available (about 30p) & ice cream van & hot drinks van there most days. Lovely walk along the prom, right up to Marina Lake, if u fancy it. On a clear day theres a fab view across to New Brighton & beyond ! But its also a cracking view when its abit stormy with choppy waves too ! Bonus if you spot an Ocean Liner or the Ferry pushing along. Love this place.
ه. ج.
A good place to spend time with the family enjoying the sunrise or sunset
H. J.
Beautiful clean beach
S. O.
Love this place. It's a great stretch of sand. All different textures pending water fall and tide. It's a shame people don't pick up their litter though. Don't look at the port though, as it reminds you it's a working area and I always worry a bit about what is in the water.
Great to take the dogs on lead. Lots of families there. You have to walk to find toilets and food . Love the sand dunes. The sand is so soft .
Big plus are the Gormley statues.

Good place to be. You can start a long run or a short walk. Dogs are allowed cyclist too. You have a restaurant to choose a light snack or main meal. Children playground available too. Also a man made lake for you to attempt to get your sea legs.

Great walk enjoyable for all the family.

Never been, lovely little park but both the slide in the smaller area impossible for my 2 year old to reach alone. Had to lift him over my head (6ft) to get him into tree house to go down the smaller slide.

Decent beach in Waterloo including the Anthony Gormley art installation

Lovely place to drive down park up or go for a walk along the beach , nice and clean ! Pay and display but not expensive. Antony Gormley statues to see. Always an ice cream van and mobile take away doing a good trade, plus toilets provided. Nice grass area for children to play and fly kites

Lovely place to spend a sunny afternoon. Dogs welcome too. Great walk for the little ones. Always clean a well cared for. Although why make a free place to visit with the kids now chargeable with pay car parks.

Having lived in Manchester for a few years now, I had no idea Liverpool had a beach. It was such a lovely surprise to come across it though! I definitely recommend this place. Has a tranquil atmosphere

At this present time it is just nice to stretch your legs and get some fresh air. Hopefully the next few months things will pick up a few more attractions for the summer would be ideal.

We have been before as the Anthony Gormley status are eerie and great. This time the tide was in and could only see a few heads. Best to check the tide times 😊

Excellent beach and views could do with more parking places.
P. B.
Great views, tons of different paths to take and great for finding rocks for the garden I mainly use them at the bottom of my pots for good drainage or around bedding plants to keep the cats from ruining them.

This is a fabulous place to stay at and gain qualifications in lots of various waterborne activities such as rowing, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, and many many more. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food area is nice with plenty to choose from. Highly recommended for anyone who likes water activities.

Great place to visit. Take food and drink as choices are limited and expensive.

A must for sunshine, seaside and sculpture lovers. The beach is very tide dependant but beautiful on the out tide. The park has a lovely view whether you like to watch the sea, the ships or just the people it's a great shout

Amazing place for a chilled day out...
Leisure centre, food,drinks,boats/canoes to hire on the lovely lake, 3 lovely parks(one with slides swings etc), lovely walks around the lake and the beach of course, all dog friendly too and cheap parking.....absolutely 5 stars 👍👍👍👍👍

Great for long dog walks though there aren't many facilities for refreshments or toilets.

When the tide is out there are plenty of birds to see. Flat even paths for easy walking and cycling.

Not bad for a day out walking etc but the sand dunes were absolutely covered with rubbish. Pizza boxes, beer bottles, papers and god knows what else lay there. A total shame as it's a really nice place.

The park is open for walking only . The beach is 2.5 miles long. Very often I see the statutes of Anthony Gormley, s on the wide stretch of the sandy beach . The Stena ferry moving across the Irish Sea. The clouds on the sky looks wonderful when the Sun is smiling. I can see Wales on the horizon.

Easy parking, lovely beach, wide walkways.

So relaxing here, brilliant cafe with outdoor seating. Also seating area for those who like to bring their own picnic. Lovely walks and great play area for children. Inexpensive car parks a bonus.

Great, smooth path; ideal for cycling. Fascinating bricks and bits of old stonework that were dumped on the beach to clear blitz-damaged houses. Well worth visiting for a ride in the sea air or a potter amongst the debris.

The park itself is fantastic open space. Although since lockdown it seems to have become Poo Central for a small percentage of dog walkers who don't clean up after their pets.
I've lost count how many times my young girls have stood or fallen in dog muck or got it on the tires of their bikes.
I now avoid the place.

Beautiful place to kill some time!

Just a nice walk and see the wild life very good for your mental health and at the end a nice cup of coffee in the cafe.

Lovely place....But
We have family in Crosby and came here afterwards.
Did NOT expect to be ripped off re' the ice cream prices, OR have to pay for parking.

Beautiful beach! Perfect for strolls, sports and relaxing. Take a picnic and a flask and soak in the surroundings. Check out Anthony Gormleys sculptures too 👍🏻☺️

This is a lovely place to walk, play, sit and to drink/eat. Has a brilliant park for the kids, with a lake to walk round. A short walk away your onto the beach. Surrounding areas are cafes and lakeside bistro for more upmarket dining.

It was windy and cold day out there but for first time my little warrior experienced this coast on his own feet.

Stunning beach area with good car parking facilities.

Went especially to see the Anthony Gormley, another place statues. Can't believe how long the beach is, flat and sandy. The sculptures are spread out over the whole beach, we went at low tide and got to get up close to them. Very thought provoking and interesting to see, great place to spend the day relaxing on the sandy beach.

This is a very beautiful and cleaned coastline if you are looking for family outings particularly in the coming school holidays, don't look further, your whole family wille enjoy Crosby sea side.

Another great place for children and dogs to run free, but beware of the jelly fish that litter the beach. Not good for dogs if they lick them,my dog vomited after doing this and had an allergic reaction!! Café on site with toilets.Pay parking or free on residential road.Good play area for children. Easy spend an afternoon here.

Great little beach. Plenty of parking. It is all pay and display unless you have a blue badge, then its free. Make sure you pay and display there are always ticket officers around here

Great place for fresh air, walking the dog or simply tiring the kids out. The sea is always very therapeutic 😌
