Nice beach
Pay by phone not a problem if you're with a decent provider.
Queue to carpark can go all the way down the road during summer months, but worth the wait.
Clean toilets as well.

Great for the beach, bit expensive but as its national trust, kind of understandable. Wish they'd bring back paying on the gates as trying to figure out getting a ticket online is a pain with virtually no signal. Will try to remember to take coin cash next time I go as it's definitely worth the fee to park there.

What a great place to get away from the city. Great dunes to go for some adventurous walks.

Well what can I say, but what a beautiful place.
The beach is fantastic and the woodland and history is great for a day out.
If you are lucky, you may also see a red squirrel.

Good parking great big beach really dog friendly too.
Nice ice cream van too.
Maybe a coffee kiosk would be a good addition too!

Great location. The single daily rate of £7.50 is decent value if you're going to be there for several hours, but excessive if you're only planning a short walk. The payment machines could do with updating to take contactless payments (choices are limited to coins or payment by app/website at present - we found neither of us had strong enough phone reception to use the app option).

Great car park for exploring the beach. Park along edge of forest. Plenty of disabled spaces. Free to National Trust members otherwise fee to be paid. Does have toilets on site but these were closed on our visit although sign said open. No cafe on site but when we visited there was an ice cream van and truck selling coffee and bacon rolls which were extremely delicious. Cooked fresh. Lovely forest trail and sandy beach. Can easily spend the day here

Beautiful landscape and a unique combination of forestry and beach which I haven't seen before

Great day out. Spotted lots of mushrooms and got sand blasted on the beach😊👍

Formby Beach is an absolutely stunning beach. Stretching for miles and surrounded by amazing sand dunes this is a place to come and see for yourself. Why not head into the Pinewoods after the beach where you will find the extremely rare red Squirrel. The National Trust do a great job conserving this area.

A busy carpark if the weather is good. Loo and coffee cabin on site. At busy times there is a queue but, they let one vehicle in as one leaves. A word of warning though. A rogue parking "company" offers alternative parking for £10 when the official carpark is full. Admittedly this is just down the road but it is on private land they probably don't own. Be warned.

Beautiful place walks and beach

Wondeful place mostly well kept. However much of the disabled parking closest to the beach has been flooded and has been that way for some time. It is very disappointing that nothing has been done about this yet.

Formby beach is usually beautiful, but we went on such a cold wet day.

Get there early morning and hopefully enjoy a close encounter with the resident red squirrels. If you're very lucky they'll feed from your hand

No problem parking, it is now £7.50 for the day. Unless you are a National Trust member, then it's free.

Gorgeous views and red squirrels! Parking costs an absolute bloody fortune though

Victoria Road carpark very busy with queues. Try lifeboat road NT carpark....though no facilities

New payment method is poor

Well managed small car park, but when it's full you have to wait a long time as they move into 1 car out 1 in.
