Reviews of Finsbury Park
H. B. 0.
Big park with areas for basketball, tennis, kiddie area, boating (not in operation at time of visit) gym and exercise areas. If lucky, one might catch a game if softball, home for London Mets .. I think. Good park for a family day out. Toilet is free to use and it is very clean!
V. I. M.
Great huge park that has so many facilities and green land for people to enjoy. But some leave mess after enjoying themselves and barbecues, playing signing and dancing. Which is shame for others who go there early in the morning to run or to exercise and before the council people come to clear the mess. Hope the council fine people who do not respect the park and make them by law to clean their mess.
S. l.
What an amazing sized Park. It's by the road side, but don't be fooled by the size of the park. The traffic, and there's alot of it doesn't affect your enjoyment in the park, I fact its not noticed. Many agents held here like Tougher Mudder event. Brilliant 👏
C. W.
Went for a leisurely stroll in the park. Lovely green spaces and plenty of nature to relax the mind and body. Was absolutely great!
A. C.
Stayed in London for three weeks and absolutely loved how close my accommodation was to this park. Went here at least once a day. Such a large green space. As a single woman, I never felt unsafe here.
M. G. d. T.
Beautiful park, great for walk/running, many paths to use.
Visited during LatinFest known as La Clave, great atmosphere, nice food market most Latin food, bar, stages, must have been amazing precovid, still many people attended...
Great park for kids too.
R. M.
Great tennis courts! Very new, many with floodlighting & easy to book. It's a wonderful new facility for north London.
P. A. V.
Very nice park with all sort of facilities available. It is busy all the time. I have seen lots of activities going on. Some groups do workouts, some practice football, tennis, etc. It is a lovely park to walk your dogs or to cycle.
d. e.
Never disappointed at Sumaks. Lovely fresh salads, grilled meats and other Turkish specialities. Great 2 course lunchtime deal. Lovely obliging and attentive staff. Good value. Child friendly. Great for a couple or a large group. *****
G. L.
Nice place .Just need more toilettes.
L. B.
Genuinely enjoyed taking the kids here today. Massive park for kids of all ages. Tons of apparatus to play on even has a water splash play area to play in.
S. D.
I always enjoy my time in this park, whether it's for a jog or nice slow family stroll. I liked the water area with the ducks and swans, some very cute baby ducks too! That we see growing bigger every time we visit. Lots of resting spots to just chill-out and unwind. Would have given it 5 star, but it needs more and cleaner public toilet areas including facilities to change babies. Other thsn that top park, you will enjoy, especially on a hut summer day!
V. C.
Great park! Lots of open space and activities to do such as tennis, american football, running, etc... There is also a big space for children and a big lake with lots of different birds. I think it could do with some more benches but overall it's a great park!
J. J.
The concert was good and there was so much space to down around. The only down part was the ground which was muddy cause of the rain.
S. B.
Lots of wide open space, plenty of trees to find shade under. The kids play areas look well looked after, and we even saw some slack liners while there past a flower garden area.
I. T.
One of the best parks in North London. Big enough, a great place for kids, a good place for a picnic, for playing tennis, riding the bike - you name it. The lake is nice and clean as well -there is also a boat hire place.
D. d.
Great park, very big and open - but once you’ve been a few times there’s less and less to do. Still lovely to clear the head, take your mind off things :)
M. A.
Finsbury Park is always a nice place to visit. The cafe is family friendly and many lovely walking routes.
P. B.
This is a big open space. I walk the perimeter when I am feeling energetic. Tennis courts, basketball and football. Finish off with a cuppa.
S. E.
Nice city Park, better than average playgrounds for all ages. I walk through it to get to the Parkland Walk.
G. W.
The park during the day is really good, even when it first starts to get dark its okay. Would like more light on the pavement areas. Since it gets dark around 5 at the moment and the park is open for a few hours after that.
N. C.
LATINO LIFE IN THE PARK was very well organised, friendly atmosphere, friendly crowd, good music, wide food variety
B. S.
My beautiful local park, great place for jogging and outdoor gym, fantastic park with a pond where one can relax with a cup of coffee at near by restaurant.
K. S.
Wide roads with plenty of space for social distancing. It's a good size for running so 3 rounds amount to roughly 10k.
L.
Very large open space, with lots to offer for all ages and it is continuously improving. There is a large play area suitable for both toddlers and older children. Outdoor exercise equipment is available along with tennis, netball, basketball courts and a running track. The Park has two cafes with one of them being dog friendly. There is a boating lake, near the children's playground which attracts lots of birds.
This area is popular with joggers, people strolling around or exercising, some having picnics in the grass or sitting on one of the many benches dotted around the Park. It can get very busy but as it is such a big area, it is possible to find a quiet spot if that is what you prefer. Finsbury often has fun fairs, festivals and concerts and other events held here.
As I have mentioned in another review of Finsbury Park playground, the area does not feel safe after dark as there is no proper lighting along with people loitering in the area in the dark.
M. V.
A lovely park, perfect for all ages and activities, there is a pond, cafe, multiple children’s playgrounds, a callisthenics area and free to use outdoor gym. It’s a lovely park with large paths and plenty of seating. The best part about the park are the free public toilets which is becoming a rare thing nowadays. Just a note as with all parks in London when it gets a bit dark there are some dodgy people around however there is a nice steady flow of people coming from the station. The park is surrounded by nice areas where you can do shopping or get food. Just a lovey park overall.
V. Y.
Incredibly clean, well maintained and massive. A park with areas for children, basketball, tennis, picnics, public gym, etc .
W. L.
Very large green space, playground is pretty big so good for kids of all ages. Plenty of swings, slides and cafe.
T. G.
Wonderful oasis of trees, grass, ponds and space in London
a. m.
Friendly staff try their best to keep place free of litter. Grass is cut regularly all looks nice. Good plc to enjoy with the family. Playgrounds are top notch.
C. L.
A nice park. Very open, there is a little pond with lots of waterfowl. There are loads of parakeets and plenty of friendly squirrels.
g.
This is a lovely park in the middle of a very busy network of roads. It has some very beautiful quiet areas as well as a wide path running around the whole park which is good for cycling and running. It has got all the facilities lake, several play areas, tennis courts, formal gardens and lots of benches and places to sit and enjoy the scenery.
M. K.
A lovely park with a lake, where swans live, and good infrastructure for relax and active rest. There is a big playground for under 5's and under 12's as well as a cafe and other facilities
L. C. S.
This is a very cool park and full of history as well. It's completing 150 years of foundation and use. It has been scenery of social fights and family reunions. There is a small cafe inside, with public toilets. Playground areas for kids are available, as an open gym and numerous tables and benches. You can definitely find your peaceful corner on this amazing green area. Right besides it, there is a underground station.
M. K.
Great park - limited chinese food offerings early in the morning...
A. H.
Vehicle access limited to disabled. We were fortunate to arrive on a warm sunny day when it was quiet with only few other people about. There are a number of well signposted walks with adequate seating available. The park is generally well maintained but it was disappointing to discover a wooden gazebo type seating area that has fallen into disuse having been taken over by wildlife and bird droppings.Centrally there is a boating lake and close by a small cafe with both indoor and outside seating.Staff were friendly and very helpful.
S. S.
My local park as a youngster, it's always nice to go back! Nice little lake and play area for children. All easy very accessable by public transport or car.
S. M.
This was my childhood park. What have they done with it ?
Used to go fishing here. Park keepers wore brown suits. There was a train spotting platform beside the path over the track. There was a model village next to the pond. You could row a boat here, many happy memories.
Nowadays popular with all kinds of activities, cycling, running, childrens play areas, basket ball, hockey, football, tennis, tightrope walking, also a running track, rowing in the pond and picknicking. There is also a cafe at the top of the hill.
D. G.
Is not a wow park, like Crystal Palace or Regent Park,Hyde Park or others ,but is a big park. There is a lake with boats, space for sports and is nice. Sometimes there they makr concerts or come with some events
k. j.
Lovely big park, lots going on. Tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic area, kids park, boating pond etc. And American football game. Well Done London Hornets for beating London Blitz 👏
D. A.
Love this park the pond is great, childrens play parks a large area of grass green space for picnics. Children can go and fed the birds, ducks and chicks 😍 my daughter and my self love it here ❤️ .
C. N.
Another of London's great parks . I love Finsbury Park. It has everything. Its always busy too. Also fun fairs concerts make it more attractive. We are lucky to have this park.
N. B. C.
Great space for community Netball, fabulous courts
F. M.
Love this park always clean with plenty of people around,, toilets are open at this lockdown time, monitored too,
S. B.
Nice huge park surrounded by the city. Some highlights from my first visit are as follows -
1. It's good for walks and runs
2. There are ample of amenities (tennis court, race tracks, etc)
3. Not enough funtioning loos
4. Not enough benches to sit
O. S.
Great Park for festivals, attended Solomun dj set. Set up was good, several bars and food. But most possibly it can depend on event they are hosting. Generally park is massive and has all facilities. No bbq as far as I know.
F. O.
Nothing too serious. Finsbury Park is a lively area because it's surrounded with many local shops, restaurants, gym, pub, stadium and big big supermarkets. I have been learning in Finsbury Park for the past 30 years many of us knows each other. To crown it transportation has never been a problem.
T. H.
Interesting park with a friendly cafe. Flying litter is an experience...coming face to face with an empty milk carton picked up by the wind is a bit hair raising...but think they are inproving the tidiness. 5 mins walk from Finsbury Park Station, gateway to everywhere.
F. R.
Lots of play spaces for children of a range of ages with safe surfaces
J.
Lovely park with plenty of space of picnic, festivals , and enjoy a stroll . Minutes from tube station si very easy to reach zone 2
M. L.
Went to finsbury park with my granddaughter who very much enjoyed the swings and the duck pond. The tennis courts looked good too.
G. T.
We went for the October Fest. The place was muddy and security weren’t friendly. I saw too many people to count slip over by the toilets.
Drinks were over priced but once you were inside you had no choice but to buy from the venue so they had you over a barrel. (No pun intended!)
The music was the best part but it was half empty and we saw 3 fights while we were there. I wouldn’t go again to it.
However if you are going in the summer to enjoy the park itself then it’s worth the visit.
A. J.
Really lovely and neat park
A good place to relax and get lost in nature.
N. P.
This park has it all, for taking a lovely walk through the park, with a beautiful view of natural flour, a really lovely kids play area, really big.. has lots of things to do in the park, you can easily spend the whole day here, kids will enjoy the fun you can join them too, or just relax! The cafe in the park isn’t open yet,
Not sure why, but there is a lot of cafe and restaurants around..
S. T.
It's kids friendly and loads of space to play sports, has exercising section as well. Pond probably my favourite bit :)
J. J.
We had a wonderful day out in the park with lots of places to sit. The new river walk also runs through the park.
P. B.
Fantastic play park, lots of community things going on. Lovely park to visit with grandchildren
A. S.
Good Park for medium and long runs. It has its outdoor gym and nice tennis courts.
J. E.
Very lovely with great views. Try to head to the center though for a more relaxed environment. Loads of facilities for sports an kids playgrounds
A. U.
Lovely pond, great tennis courts and a few playing grounds for children. There is also a café near the pond.
p. b.
Very nice children's play area. The park has been much improved
C. “. Y.
This park has developed so much over the years. With a friendly cafe you get a mediocre menu, but you can't have everything. The park is fantastic with something for everyone. Skate park, tennis courts, basketball courts, boating Lake, grass areas for sunbathing, seated areas in cared for gardens. It's just a wonderful park with good transport links at most entrances if not all.
E. A.
I walk 🚶♂️in Finsbury park nearly everyday doing an average of 45mins walk , it's a lovely park to enjoy as a family, have good activities for kids with the lake providing sanctuary for the birds 🐦 . Beautiful sunset Finsbury park
P. H.
Lovely place even got dog training there
M. S.
Lovely open park, boating lake, 3 different play areas and 2 cafed
M. C.
Interesting park with lots of exciting park’s futures for all ages and abilities. The scattered dead tree trunks, shifted, shaped and smoothed by the elements look like sculptures in their own right. With nicely shaped hedges, flowerbeds, bushes, etc. this park is ideal for long leisurely walks. A vast playground and a modest size lake populated by lots of birds and offering various activities make this park real fun for kids.
N. H.
Not my favourite park but there are nice parts in the northern side. If you are into tennis book it online, they have one of the best tennis courts in the area.
A. S.
Visited with my children and a friend on a rainy Sunday with a music festival and an Arsenal home match going on in the background.
My children loved playing in the play area, the rock pavilion area and enjoyed pond side.
The cafe seemed nice; seen only briefly during the walk to the neighboring public toilets.
Well worth a visit. If more time was available (and the weather was better) the park and the area could be used more: perhaps a picnic or walking the Parkland Walk.
It seems boats are available at some time to enjoy the pond, but were somewhat hibernating when we visited.
j. b.
Impressive compliment of sports facilities and amenities. A notable variety and spread of trees, though the formal bedding and plant inclining to the sparse disheveled.
Large pond, cafe and toilets.
Well maintained and clean.
The children's playground is particularly noteworthy.
M. R.
My kids love this park. Is not far from my home - It's got everything to keep the kids happy for a few hours - also a great cafe - the coffee is great - but it's such a shame the staff are very unfriendly - they always make you feel you shouldn't be there - it makes you feel like you don't want to go back.
T. C.
It's quite a long way across and your legs hurt at the end but it were worth it for all the trees and the green stuff and the ladies in Lycra pants.
L. C.
Well kept, perfect for a run/walk when the weather is nice
N. N.
Nice big park for walking, running, cycling and coffee!
C. W.
A refuge from being stuck indoors. Lots of facilities and amenities and with the pond and the birds a lovely place.
A. J.
Beautiful park for exercising, picnicking and even snowing!!!
Y. M.
Best place to exercise and appreciate nature. Relaxing vibes ♡
M. S.
Good boat trip, the lake is to small, don't order food on the cafe,it will take ages to get it.
R. N.
Its much bigger that I had realised even after living in North London for nearly ten years I have not utilised this park at all!!. There's a track and a basketball and tennis court and a nice walk my the water too.
H. S.
I love the playground. I am taking my 2 years old out to play here. We are always having fun and tired as this playground is so huge and many activities to enjoy. From babies til teenagers there is playgrounds for everyone. They recently updated a playground with an another play area. If you get hungry or thirsty, there is a shop next to it. We most of the time buy ice-cream, which is not cheap. You can save money if you buy it from Lidl next to the entrance of the park. There is toilet also available if you are in need.
D. M.
Nice park. Bit crowded in the afternoon in sumner days. Less cleaner compared to other parks in london
C. Z.
It’s not the nicest park in London, let’s be honest. It’s big, there are some good fields, you can access the Parkland Walk, and there are some pleasant vistas where you can forget your proximity to the mean streets of Hackney and Haringey. But, for example, I would not go here if I were a lone female near sunset...there is the odd unsavoury character about.
S. M. (.
Great park and sports facilities.
Basketball, Tennis, volleyball, table tennis courts all available.
Specifically for basketball, there are 9 rims of which 6 have three point lines around them. 3 of the 9 rims are normal while the rest are single rims. All the courts have a competitive atmosphere.
E.
Normally go here for gigs. Easy to get to. Nice day out
Update October 2017
Still a good place. Hospitality in the Park this time.
S.
Lovely space, pretty big that I've been a few times and still haven't explored all of it. Aside from the big hill you have to hike, it's easily accessible with 3 train stations surrounding it
L. M.
Great place to bring the kids, has a boating lake and a cafe, tennis courts and skate park. Lovely seating area and flowerbeds. You can see the city in the distance. A short walk from the overground and tube station. Sobel centre ice skating, trampoline park, bowling alley, gym nearby and the Emirates stadium as short walk if up on a day visit, lots of places to eat, the park has public toilets and a disabled one.
L.
I really like the pond area, its a little hidden gem in the park! Went here with my friends and they had no idea it existed! Despite living not far from the park.
D. R.
Is a very nice place for a small gathering or get- together. Visited by people who are interested in sports and Even you can take your kids to enjoy a day with them playing and spending quality time.
J. W.
My first visit to Finsbury Park after over 45 years living in London.
Beautifully laid out with something for everyone..... playgrounds, a couple of different outdoor gyms, tennis, basketball, skate park, volleyball, table tennis; boating lake, formal gardens and wilder areas to roam around. Excellent cafe with sheltered outdoor seating area.
Well signposted all around the park
J. D.
Well kept and tidy. Nice boating lake and cafe area - with a good kids play park.
N. O.
Absolutely brilliant outdoor space. Lots of inclines and flats for runners. Loads of green space for picnicking or working out. Several playgrounds for children of all ages. Lovely lake to boat on and feed the ducks with the duck feed sold at the lake hut or cafe. Cafe has lots of good food choices and also sells a great selection of ice cream. Toilets right next to the cafe. Basketball and netball courts for sports enthusiasts and an outdoor gym. The only thing its missing for me is a dedicated flat area for skaters (they use one of the netball courts atm) and the skate park needs expanding but overall an amazing park within walking distance from my house and right next the train and bus station with plenty of shops nearby.
V.
Absolutely love this park, we been there for the past 3 weeks, we always feel relax and happy afterwards. Newly built Kids areas, new born baby swan and ducklings in the lake. We like to hire the boat and feed them, we found other creatures as well. Two turtles, big fishes etc. We will sure be back again.
J. Z.
The park itself is beautiful, but we go there because little one loves the playgrounds there, so many games, he just goes nuts!
Wish the coffee shop offered better coffee though.
M. H.
Great park to spend the day. It has one coffee place and one restaurant, besides having a big green area that it's great for a picnic or to walk with your dog.
E. C.
Amazing park 👏 so many things to do in there activities ,sport, coffee shops .Love it 😀
A. K. O.
Very nice area with so meny possibilities to do. Playing tenis or spend time with yoir children on playground.
C.
Lots of space amenities for food and drinks and toilets too!
J. R.
Beautiful old park, with magical trees, a lake, good sports facilities and lovely views.
H. J.
Beautiful park with plenty of recreational space. Perfect for either walking your pet or having a picnic.
M. S.
Nothing exciting to be very honest. A nice spot of green in the heart of a very busy quarter. Ideal for jogging if you like or a nice lunch break if you work/live around.
S. G.
You can run you can train you can play or just to chill the best park in London!!!
F. B.
As good as it gets for a lpcal park - football, basketball, tennis, baseball, rugby - and plenty of space to walk / run / cycle, also regular events & festivals through the summer
P. S.
The café in the centre is a v pleasant spot to enjoy the park.
U.
Superrrrr huge.
Great for relaxing walks, or exercise
Plenty of space and pathways for bikes too.
Huge play area split into 3 parks for different ages (toddler, child, older child)
Sand play area, water area (during summer)
(At this moment, play areas closed off due to social distancing)
Beautiful lake which are home to Swansea and ducks (boat rides in summer)
Definitely a 5* Park.
N. v. T.
Great track and beautiful space but quite dark and unsafe-feeling at night.
S. J.
Walk through Finny P most mornings. Nice to have some nature and hopefully less populated air before a day sitting on a contaminated tube then a contaminated office. God I love the 9-5.
J. N.
Fantastic adventure playground for all ages so much equipment for them to explore Nice little boating lake if its your kind of thing
M. T.
Perfect place to go for a long walk, great Cafe' place where you can sit down and relax while enjoying a coffee.
It's a very friendly place to be! 😊💯
N. I.
Victorian era park with a lake, café, small art gallery, tennis and basketball courts, gym and athletic stadium. It's a great place for a picnic and barbecues are allowed.
T. V.
I love visit Finsbury Park because is nearly nearby from where I live, but also for the mini lake you can rent a boat and rowing, also see different types of wild birds like ducks.... you can go and do your own picnic but guys for God sake, please don't leave litter behind you, pick up and throw into nearby bin
S.
Great Park. Has tennis and basketball courts. A skateboard area. Children's playground area. Boating Lake. Cafe. Toilets but long queues. Can get there via Parkland Walk if you live near there. Lots of grass area.
N. K.
Nice park with nice facilities, not really suitable for high speed cycling though
T.
Lovely place for kids and adults it's a very big park with lots to do I.e boat riding, feeding the ducks etc.
a. b.
It's a lovely place with extensive green space and it's a great place to for a jogging, picnics, playing sports, or even just to relax & many more, I would recommend, however, the area has a very restricted parking, in some of the roads one can park on Saturday from 1.30 pm and Sunday free.
Ж. Г.
I love this park also :) It's a quite park, green, nice place and very good for photographers as me ;) :P
J. l.
Went to the funfair with the kids, friendly environment but no parking spaces. Gate to drive into the park was closed. Loads of open space and adventure playground for kids there are basketball courts and a cafe with seating/toilets and a paddling pond where you can hire paddling boats!
S. S.
Huge natural outdoor space for various activities
K. L.
Great Park and a good place to visit with kids in the summer 💯
S. _.
A big and decent park. Different sections for training, exercises, baseball and basketball courts, ponds and large amounts of open spaces for various leisure activities. The park is a vibe all year round
M. S.
This could be such a great park as it has so much space. The playground area is nice for smaller kids and there is another area for bigger kids. The thing that really lets this park down is that drug users are just allowed to sit and smoke weed wherever they please. They thankfully do not do it very near the play areas but if you want to take kids on a bike ride you will certainly encounter at least one pocket area of smokers who look a bit menacing. The dogs here are also not as friendly with quite a few of the fiercer looking ones allowed to roam without care. If there were wardens in place to police the area, it would be a much nicer park.
J. H.
Fabulous place for recharging your spirit
A. C.
The new play zone for children is really great ! Lovely slides, climbing area, rocks, sitting area for parents and more. My daughter loves it ! I definitely recommend it.
A. K.
Had brilliant time x
C. M.
Great morning out, very friendly. Can't beat the cool fresh air whilst on a stroll.
K. B.
Lots of different playgrounds for all ages. Kids loved it
C. K.
This is one of the biggest park in North London, the playground is very accessible
T. B.
Lot's of activities. Lovely trees. Great cafe.
A. B.
Actually an outstanding park. At first it can seem a bit meh but its so good for so many different activities. Great facilities for all sorts and plenty of grand trees and places to sit. Unfortunately not much properly covered seating which is a shame. One star off for two reasons. One - no night lighting or adequate security at night, would suggest not entering after dark. Harringay should remedy this and supposedly there are plans to. Two - way too many vehicles inside when they've given out a filming permit. I feel like notices around the park providing forward warning about this would lower the annoyance created.
M. K.
Nice big park but noisy because next to main road, also sometimes it attracts interesting characters, busy children's playground, poorly designed, could be a lot better....
F. N.
Its nice when it's quiet and less people around
Ö. F. Y.
Huge park to spend some time walking. It's really good for children too. Small lake has a nice view. Public toilets and park cafe are open also open and it's a good thing considering current situation. In addition, if you'll visit Finsbury Park leave some time for Parkland Walk. It takes around 45 minutes to walk from Finsbury Park to Highgate but it's a really nice experience.
M. P.
Amazing new playground along with the other playgrounds there. Cafe has good fresh coffee and delicious food.
L. N.
Amazing playground for kids... lots of slides, swings sand and lots of other stuff. Amazing park
K. H.
Good open space with good kids play areas, skating, tennice courts, pond, boating and cafe.
T. B.
Fantastic park, very organised and we'll maintained expanse of space, the arena is well kept aswell. It was well worth the 3 hour drive. EXCELLENT 👍.

At this time of the year it is cold but the park is a great place to meet other human and exchange talks about the obvious. ....
I should do like most and run like all these many who love chocolates more than salad and since their fridge is part of their office, Cadbury last 5 min and become excuse to run to the shop whilst that old Broccoli......
Anyway a bit breezy and i look weird in my short not running. My hands turned purple already, ill take a picture of my local park tomorrow.

K. M.
Really well resources park, so many options, catering for many in the community...
Skate park could be bigger and some BMX / MTB Dirt Jumps or a pump track would be a great addition.
R. M.
Quite big park very often in summer there is a fun fares and circuses good for running there is a tennis court but in my opinion there is no benches near entrance to sit you have to go deep in park
K. K.

The bongo drums, well then if you are ever in Finsbury Park fill free to pop in to the drummers hut situated at the Finsbury Park tube station 🚉 entrance I've loved that hut for a good number of year now and it keeps getting better and better trust me you'll all love it bless.

Nice green space, plenty of tennis courts.
M. A.
Great park with a nice skate park and a lovely playground area. Kids friendly. The crowd scan get very weird and sometimes name dodgey people but it's usually safe during the day.
S. C.
Went to hospitality in the park here. Great event, and a perfect park for holding an event like this. Also imagine it's a nice place to relax on a warm summer's day.
V. S.
Could be lovely spacious park with beautiful trees but looks a bit unsafe there, many dodgy chargers around:
crackheads and junkies especially next to the main gates.
C. S.
Lovely open and clean park with several points of interest. Good groups of local communities who frequent it often and are incredibly interesting. I recommend asking about local drinking hotspots, the warehouses and any sports. Good public transport access, skate ramps, and an ample cycling route.
C. L. O.
Very spacious and well looked after park with swings, lake, cafe, tennis courts and outside gym equipment.
M. D.
Lovely place to enjoy sunshine, quite well lit and populated but without the mess and havoc being seen around key spots in the UK as the weather and lockdown ease up! Very regular bus service and so on. No loos though
G. A.
If only the Seven Sisters Road was as nice as the park
P. A.
Massive park with lots of beautiful trees from ferry tales.
C. T.

Great different areas for dog walkers and sports teams. A nice park with spacious open areas, very good and plenty of room also for running about. Park areas were well maintained and there was a cafe for refreshments, we stopped for coffee which was good and reasonably priced.

This is a great community park. It has excellent children's playgrounds, a boating lake and a lovely no-frills cafe. It also has an athletics and baseball pitch, formal gardens and mixed trees and grass. It's frequently a venue for fairs.and concerts too. Much loved.
A. S. B.
Great place to spend the day at! So many options for sport and a lovely little lake with ducklings and nature. Safe and busy during the day, but there is no illumination around the area at night which for me makes it dangerous once the evening comes.
A. G. U.
Beautiful oasis, vast in size and scenery. I love walking around Finsbury park, its my local and my favourite.
J.
Pleasant Stroll In The Park With My Beautiful Wife And Our Gorgeous Baby Girl Who Fed The Very Hungry Ducks For The First Time in 😊 Be Careful Of The Boss / Bully Of The Pond,The Very Scary Looking Menacing Heron 🤣 He Just Wants His Bread And He's Space

K. M.
Really well resources park, so many options, catering for many in the community...
Skate park could be bigger and some BMX / MTB Dirt Jumps or a pump track would be a great addition.

This historical park is a beautiful place. Lovely pond with wild life like ducks and geese and you can have a boat ride with a cafe and a place to get some yummy ice cream, lots of activities for children and designated non smoking play area and they have regular events and activities you can find out more on there website.
M. H.
How beautiful to walk the park with my two year old son. The grass, the swans, the ponds, the people of all shoe sizes, the sun, the benches to rest on, the air to breathe, and this in light of social distance. I arrived home and slept well that night.
B. M.
There's so much to do no matter of your age. With many play areas including an outside gym, basketball & tennis courts. The boating lake where you can watch the water birds. Or just relax and admire the flowers. This park also allows bbq's for a family fun day.
Overall very family-friendly
a. k.
Walk from Highgate to Finsbury park was refreshing in the spring sunshine. Park is spacious, wide and clean. Coffee from the cafe is good too 😊
A. O.
Very big park. Very green. Has playground for kids to play in. Has a sports facility for tennis and football. Nice place to enjoy a picnic in warmer weather.
J. H.
Spacious park, with a playground area for children and has a good cafe. There are tennis and basket ball courts as well. Many people like to feed the ducks in the park. A small boat can be hired if you like rowing, or you can use the exercise equipment in the designated area. Lots of activities to do.
O. A.
The park is very nice, clean and spacious for all kind of activities
P. B.
Colourful
S. A.
Loads of grassy areas to sit and picnic or play on, boats for hire, playgrounds with brilliant climbing frames and a sand pit, plenty of benches, this park is lovely. There are lots of little areas that are quieter and out of the way. I have been many times and still often find a new hidden area.
C. L.
Great park, especially when Tough Mudder is on!
T. M.
Great park and playground.
M. G.
One of the larger parks in North London. Family friendly with a few activity areas (basketball courts, tennis, table tennis, state park etc). Only issue is at the Finsbury Tube entrance you can have all those teen-agers congregating and some time being up to no good.
t. b. b. c.
It was pretty good and big I was going for my football practice
E.
Finsbury park is my favourite park, it is really fun place to go to when bored. Last year I went to a festival there and really enjoyed it. Nice walks and skate area. It also is near the station which is good.
M. J.
The park has so many areas for people to do activities only thing is for such a big park there should be more then 1 food and snacks bar and toilets.
P. I.
Great basketball courts and a really nice for a stroll through.
M. B.
Good place to chill, have a picnic and enjoy fun activities. Available public toilets, cheap parking on side roads and lots of local food shops near by
S. M.
Was at a Latino festival held in the park. Park was very clean and well kept
B. H.
A lovely park with loads of space, great playgrounds, nice cafe and a new structure and picnic area in the process of being built..
A. A.
These days good to find a cafe in a local park that takes cash! Service was a bit slow but situated in a good venue.
H. D.
Lots of space. There are toilets and a cafe which close at 5pm. Always people being active and many benches.
T. R.
Great location for socializing many different areas of the park to explore with boating facilities and a Cafeteria too. Lots of spaces to enjoy with youngsters, including basketball courts and tennis courts. A local Funfair is available at certain times of the year too and a number of concerts in the park during the summer months...
C. P.
Couldn't believe how crowded it was! Parents & children cramming themselves into the play area. Large groups of men playing football know one bothering with any of the lockdown rules. ????😱
J. C.
Great cafe, lake and play area. I haven't ventured much further but it's very spacious so I'm sure there is more to discover.
S. A.
Finsbury Park is amazing for a stroll, picnic or adventure for the children. With its boating lake, tennis courts, skate ramps, running tracks and outdoor gym, its also a great place to keep fit while having fun and enjoying the great outdoors.
P. P.
Great park with no less than three really good playgrounds and lots of tennis courts
H. V.
Finsbury Park has lots to see, lots of space and holds festivals and funfairs etc at different times. Good place for dog walkers and to grab coffee etc. Great space for kids also. Lots of child friendly places and apparatus.
M. J.
Went to the fun fair, really great, and not to over priced
Park is great, especially for kids with the adventure areas.
J. Z.
I have a special affinity towards this park because it is literally right across the street from where I live. It’s a great place to go on a stroll and enjoy a breath of fresh air. I came here for my first park run ever and the hills kicked my butt. Fond memories and good times ha. One downside is the lack of adequate lighting in the evening and the potheads that hang around this single shed near the fenced field (random I know). I know they’re minding their own business but it gives the place an uneasy vibe when you have people lurking in the shadows at night.
f. t.
Nice park during the summer days with few café and lots of green to relax on.
The winter is different and probably not the cup of tea for most but it used to be one of my local parks so I liked it.
More work probably required to make the park safer.
Saying that the park earned green flags few years in a row so good work is being done by Park Services. Respect.
E. P.
This park is lovely during daylight and for sport ctivities. Otherwise as soon as the sun goes down is becoming too dangerous even to walk through. Recently a friend of mine tried to cross the park with the bicycle and was chased for unknown reasons by two guys! Thankfully managed to cycle to the main road to escape. There are no cameras nor lights at night in this park.
M. D.
Good park with plenty of things to do.
W. S.
Lovely big open space with a boating lake and birds to feed. A reasonably sized cafe though it is a little bit pricey. A nice sized playground suitable from toddler age all the way up too early teens. Basketball courts tennis courts and even table tennis.
A. a.
Great park, not so sure about some of the people in the area though......be vigilant.
A. H.
Lovely park to.hang out in in the day, has a outdoor gym area, basketball and tennis courts and a big pond with ducks. However at night it is very dangerous, don't walk through it, there are lots of dodgy characters around. Also don't try and go for a pee on your own in the day, as there are pervs about who spy on you in the bushes, has happened to a few women I know now
G. M.
Lively open space with great circuit for exercising.
However...
Walked from the Finsbury Park station entrance to the Green Lanes exit and was thrice asked if I wanted to buy drugs.
Got the impression that this would be a place to avoid when it's dark.
H. W.
Beautiful park with small lake where you can hire a boat and go rowing. Entrance to parkland walk is here - a nice peaceful walk through a disused railway line. There is a restaurant near the manor house entrance which has friendly staff. There is also a cafe near the lake that sells nice ice cream.
C. H.
Great open space for all! Cafe, toilets (including disabled one), outdoor gym, all kinds of sports areas, bowling green, lake with rowing boats for hire & lots of grass! So many people there today, in their hoards, sunbathing, picnicking, jogging etc.
Y. A.
We had an amazing walk with my lovely husband ❤ seen amazing birds 🐦 with lovely weather 😍 ❤ 💕 😘 ♥ 😊 😍 ❤
I'm from south Yorkshire definitely I'm going back🤩
A. S.
All you need from a city park. Decent size with plenty of options for kids (several playgrounds and a duck pond with boats for hire), nice size cafe with outdoor seating, outdoor gym, running track, and nice walks along the New River. Good for picnics and outdoor workouts.
K. O.
Plants are more colourful than anything even Arts.
O. Q.
Go there nearly every sunday such a big park that most wireless performances are held there a skatepark, basketball court, outside kids rock climbing/free-running parkour place and another park with ballance beeams, toddler area, splash area, climbing cube thing etc...
A. D.
A nice walk but can be muddy.
A. O.
One of the best parks in London. There are children Playground, a lake, cafe, and spaces to play basketball. You can jog, walk, and enjoy nature. The best part is: Finsbury park is connected to the capital ring walk which is a long nature corridor all the way to Highgate station.
M. J.
Good London Park with lots of green space, a good adventure playground for kids and a lake that you can row boats in. Just a bit bleak in terms of some of the park goers, quite a lot of alcoholics especially at the entrance on Seven Sisters Road near Finsbury Park Station.
V. M.
I love walking in this park. Especially now in spring you can hear all the birds singing. It is a very big park where to play sport and it is also available a free open gym. There are tennis and basketball free entry spaces. There is a skate park as well. There is a playground for kids too.
There is a small lake with ducks, goose, etc…
M. W.
A really nice park with a playground, tennis and basketball courts, a cafe, public toilets, running track, an outdoor gym etc. There's a boating lake as well so lots to do!
S. H.
Another of London's great parks . Great public transport links and within, a boat lake , a fantastic children's play park, sports fields and all sort of activities you can join in on , there has been some very negative press recently with attacks and murder in the park, but that's not the park but the people who enact these crimes. Quite hilly it a great place to walk , sit , think. Please vist London parks and keep them open.
J. S.
A quaint, peaceful and gigantic piece of greenery smack bang in the middle of a junction, one towards Camden, one towards Newington Green, one towards (shivers) Edmonton / Tottenham and one towards green lanes / wood green. I spent the best part of 53 minutes attempting to navigate the whole park, ended up missing the exit several times but that's fine as it's such a nice place to be, especially when both sunshine and social distance is in play 😂, also occasionally you'll get a guy riding a bike playing progressive drum n bass reggae
S. H.
Wonderful facilities, something for everyone
K. L.
This park has so much to offer. My favourite park. Cafe has in and out seating with ice cream or cooked foods, boat rides with the swans £8 for four people per boat. Toilet, basketball court, area for football...pitch size area, Three playing areas for Al the kids, even the adults go on the big play it's massive enough to play it with the family, so much greenery and parking is around the corner free on Sunday
K. M.
Great park - it's got lots of sport facilities, some nice running routes, a duck pond.
T.
Massive. Very well and open park.
Good pond, kids area and also cafe
I. N.
Really nice place! You can take a rest, enjoy the fresh air with your friends or ypur family.
f. l.
One of the nicest parks in London, close to the station. Lots of nice walks and facilities in the park.
m. c.
Played tennis on the public courts. Easy to book. The park looked beautiful on a summer's day in April. All ages and all activities, children in the playground and the athletics track, tennis players, joggers, cyclists, walkers and others playing bowles. Lovely cafe to sit and watch the world go by.
J. S.
HUGE PLACE with fields to play football, cricket, and AMAZING childrens' parks (I wanted to play in it myself haha). You can use either Finsbury Park or Manor House Station on the tube to get in. The staff will carefully and politely clean the park classifying the waste. But please don't throw rubbish to this beautiful park. Pet friendly park. Great option
J. D.
Nice parks good access to things but can be dodgy
K. D.
So many things for kids and adults to do. Large park with tennis courts, basketball courts, outdoor workout areas, playgrounds.
B. M.
Great atmosphere. Toilet facilities were limited so queued for half an hour
S. A.
Not my favourite park, some people that hang around there just make it uncomfortable to walk through especially on your own.. but some parts of it are nice and on a sunny day after work it’s convenient to just go and have a quick picnic.
During summer there are quite a few festivals which ends up tiring as a big area of the park is taken by the festivals and then there’s way too many people around, too much alcohol as well. And the entrance from seven sisters road just looks too dirty :(
U. E.
Nice simple park. The kids play area is very nice. Worth taking a trip on the boats, it is very cheap only £8 to rent a boat for 30 minutes, you can get upto 4 or 5 people into one boat.
R. L.
It's a nice little gem hidden in north London. You can go for a short walk, long walk, a run, sunbathing when the weather allows, watching games, using the outdoor gym equipment or the running track... Plus many other things to do.
Or you can simply cross it on from from Haringey to Finsbury, or the other way round.
Worth getting out for a walk.
K. H. M.
Great for jogging as there is a road that goes around the park. Plenty of open space and very large grassed areas. One of the few inner London parks where there one can drive their cars into - but for a very small parking fee. There's a running track, small restaurant, toilets (free), large pond with ducks/pigeons, children's play area, tennis courts, rowing boats, exercise equipment and flower garden. Large events are hosted in this park around summertime. It is also very easy to get to by public transport.
N. D.
Great park. Has it all really. Very good for running. The weekly parkrun is friendly, well organised and always popular. The playground is good for kids of all ages and well maintained. A (very) small boating lake for the summer. Basketball and tennis courts. Running track which is the home of London Heathside running club. The café is decent and they sell ice cream in summer.
M. Z.
Still a good park, busy on the weekends, but enough space for walking, running and other recreational activities to perform comfortably.
M.
Lovely park. Really big play area.. with sand pit and big climbing frames. The park cafes nice too, just about to grab chips and tea, lollies to satitify the basic needs. The toilets are really yucky do bring antibacterial wipes.. They also have a tennis court, an outdoor gym and a sweet running track. If you want a proper meal then they have a cafe (Called parkview cafe) along the park perimeters that us absolutely beautiful, serving warm food, alcoholic drinks within an exotic setting.
e. p.
Finsbury Park was quite an enjoyable afternoon in the sun. It's a nice Park to visit and has entertainment 😀 for all age groups, easily accessible by public transport.
l. l.
Is a big Park but the football ground needs attendance
C. C.
We walked the Park, my grandson played in all the play areas and then we went on the boating Lake. The ducks followed us, not because we are fabulous but because we had a huge bag of bird seed which you get for free when you hire the boat. Well worth a punt.
J. O.
Large public park in the middle of Finsbury, North London. There various courts on the ground, basket ball & volley ball plus others. There is also a pond with ducks. There is also a running track. Can enter the park from various points!! Close to the Finsbury Park London Underground train station. Often see people relaxing on the grounds especially when the weather is great.
D. B.
Amazing day and night, Community Festival has been a highlight of the summer
r. B.
This park is huge. It has a lake and a rock place where your children can play. The lake is a big size and there are boats to which you can ride with in the appropriate weather. The park holds fun fairs and circuses at time in summer and there are outdoor playgrounds for the little children. The park is well built and decorated with flowers planted in different places, it really brings out a true beauty to his park.
There are toilets and a cafe where you can buy drinks and food. They have burgers, chips, sandwiches, milkshakes. And many more.
r. m.
Finsbury Park is a massive park with lots of space for festivals such as British Summer Time festival. Had fun walking around the park. Good place to relax during summer with friend and family members.
T. D.
This is a large park with boating late and running tracks.
But as with all parks and open spaces in London keep your phone and wallet/purse out of sight due to opportunist on bikes snatching belongings out of there hands.
Your as safe as you make yourself.
If your on your own, stick to the main paths insight of others.
L. R. J.
Excellent park for a walk or picnic.
K. S.
Always a brilliant place to go for any occasion whether it be taking out your children, social gatherings, sports events or even a date. There are plenty of things to do here. You can go for a boat ride, play in the parks, have a picnic, play football, basketball and many more. There's also cafe's in this park, big open space to play with your dog/s and throughout different events are held here too; sometimes its a carnival (funfair) or a circus and other times even concerts or festivals.
R. H.
Despite what you may have heard, I've always felt safe in this park. It's huge, provides a great space for joggers, dog walkers, all faiths and ethnicities and party goers in the summer. Can often find yourself a game of football too, whether you're alone or with a group.
A. M. H.
Is really nice and huge park, lovely and peaceful to visit in the morning for some exercise o to walk you your dog. It also has place to play tenis, basketball and football, you can also find rugby teams. There is a lovely coffe shop next to a playground. You can walk from Finsbury park to Manor hause through the park.
Also there are many events so just keep an eye on them those are really nice and fun, for every member of the family.
S. G.
Nice Park with areas for kids, cycling, walking and picnicking. Nice ponds and a couple of popular cafes.
J. B.
My local park, even nicer on the first day that feels like proper spring. It's a medium size park, with a pond, facilities for rowing, a cafe. There's even a little art gallery there. I think it's quite a hilly pretty park and prefer to Clisold park close by that is too busy in the summer months.
H. C.
Nice park in the light day but feel a bit unsafe in the night where there it's no lights on the path that's linked with the train station. It will be nice with a few lampposts
R. G.
The park is great for exercising, sitting down, having barbecue or watching people go by. But sometimes people smoke drugs and that's not good for young children but they have their own pack there. Loud music at night and lots of drugs
M. W.
Inner city park? What can I say? You can hear tube trains rumbling underneath. Nice for stop off.
s. j.
Attended Latin festival on 3rd August 2019. An annual event from 12pm to 9pm. Free, fun and for all the family. Salsa dancing and concert too. Food stalls as well as toilet facilities were arranged in the park.
S. L.
My daughter run the race for life with her sister and brother and family well done guys
R. B.
Good grounds various access points. Went to see queens of the stone age here. Layout of the venue event was poor and wasn't surprised about the complaints that followed. Big ground perfect for music events providing you catch the weather right.
M. P.
Rowed a boat around the lake and fed some ducks with feed you can buy from the boat loaners or the cafe!! Nice variety of ducks! Good playground too, missed out a star due to a lot of fencing that seemed unnecessary
S. R.
The people are friendly and there's a good choice of restaurants, bars etc, and good transport links.
T. S.
Great park very big clean and nice it haves all want you want I feels nature like the wildlife
T. H.
Amazing play area for children though there could be more for very young
A.
I went there for the HOSPITALITY event and it was out of this world. Pure fun and massive. At least 30k attendees enjoying drum and bass tunes. It was a great experience. I still need to visit the park on a normal day.
P. M.
As someone that grew up in the country side I'm positively surprised on finding space and natural beauty in London"s parks, and Finsbury Park is pretty impressive...
D. S.
Great park. Loads going on here 👍
T. A.
Great acres of land it is needing some grass replanting as it is very bare in some places. After each music concerts the thousands of people trampling on it, leaving their rubbish. Our parks need looking after more
j. o.
Nice place to be . Very massive park
R.
A really cool park for nature lovers and families. Plenty of spaces and fun activities for the kids while the adults can grab a coffee at the small cafe inside the park.
K. L.
This park is located to the north-east of Finsbury Park Station. The park is quite large and has a lake and a children's play area. It also hosts an art exhibition, bowling green, cafe and skateboard area. There are also tennis and basketball courts.
I got there by getting off at Finsbury
Park Station but Manor House Station is also adjacent to the park.
For me, I bought a 6-pieces of chicken pack from Eden Cottage Chicken and just spent a lazy lunch on one of the park benches.
Y. A.
It's been getting real busy since the pandemic.
M. L.
Lovely space, full of sports a really essential space in the inner city
T. B.
One of London's largest parks, with large open grassy spaces, a perimeter road suitable for jogging, and many other amenities including an outdoor gym, children's play area and cafe. It hosts all kinds of events and activities, ranging from Wireless Festival to outdoor yoga groups and community garden projects. The more wooded area to the north sometimes has unsavoury characters hanging around. But for the most part, it's a pretty good park.
P. D.
I like it. Nice park for a walk or jog. Very clean.
S. S.
It's a lovely park with a lot of adventures for the whole family.
A. E.
Lovely park. Large area. Has great kids areas and a lovely lake. There are lovely cafes. Manor house station is at one end of the park and Finsbury Park station at the other end. Loved it! Went for a fun run and it was great.

It’s is slowly improving for sure. Increased number of police and security - however I still don’t feel safe walking through this park alone, even in broad daylight. Cat calling is unavoidable almost unless I’m with a male friend. No matter what I wear - spirts clothes, baggy stuff, dress etc.
Was harassed and followed once, it was a horrific experience. Thank god I ran into a couple having a walk in the park and they warned him off and walked with me all the way to Manor House station making sure they guy wasn’t around anymore.
Seriously, please do avoid being alone in the park when it’s dark. Too much going on there I don’t even want to imagine.

If you have to go to London then this area can be an interesting place to land, I normally go by train and this allows me to find Tubes to all over London and has good train connections, can save time not going into Kings Cross main station. As the pictures of the area show, there is a lot more to see than just the bustle of roads and commuters.
E. M.
A big park, with lots of open space, some slightly wooded areas and a good little cafe (gets v busy at peak weekend times, lots of kids!). Lots of activities going on in the park - and popular with runners (once round the road is about 2.5km).
R. L.
I cycle through every day on my route to and from work gives me a little respite off the roads it's always great to see people using the area for exercise
M. S. A.
Awesome place for workout
F. A.
A park with plenty of games for children and very large to practice sports and very beautiful
A. B.
Biggest park in Haringey, playgrounds, hard surface play area, tennis courts. Nice path /internal road to jog around. Open space gym, cafe with toilets. A lot to do but with some really dodgy spots.
S. R.
Nice park. I'm planning to go there for a picnic or a long walk. I can take my new frisbee too. It'll be a plus to develop my coordination and balance skills.
You will like the beautiful, picturesque area - I guarantee you that.
B. H.
Great local park with huge fields and recurring events. There's a kids play area, a public toilet, basketball courts and enough space to bring your own sports and pitch up for the afternoon. Public toilets also available.
S. O.
Very nice, green and huge park. Almost every Londoners know about this park. Very good for kids, family or runners. There are several times who for circus, fun-fair in the summer. It has underground train stations on the both sides of the park.
V. B.
Huge Park. Good play areas for the kids are chilling areas for the adults. Lots of events occur here which is great as is a central point to underground/overground And bus routes. BoatING Lake and tennis courts available. Recommend even wildlife in shape of squirrels etc
M. C.
A nice park. Plenty of space in the shadow, as well as the one in the sun. Great sport pitches. A bit dodgy area in one of the corners.
R. O.
A very nice place to go for a walk on a hot summers day
M. F. B.
Beautiful park. Vibrant activities all around,(British military fitness, boating, nice playground for children, Unfortunately is dirty , the potential of this park is really huge, but visible is the lack of the council maintenance .
S. L.
It's a very clean and peaceful Park. I love seeing Crows, swans there. Very good for exercising. Cafe there is owned by nice people. Go there enjoy fresh air.
N. T.
Nice park for families and sports. There is also amusement park working at the moment, within Finsbury Park.
A. W.
Finsbury park will always be my favourite park I love it, it has a great atmosphere in the summer load of people chill out and have a picnic. I grew up around that area and have bening going to that wonderful park for over 40 years full of great memories
S.
massive park and great child attractions
c. c.
Large park right beside the tube station. That corner is semi urban, near the park, with people hanging around smoking etc. Also near there, occasionally there is a fairground or music festival, in the summer season, so a large area can be enclosed in temporary walls. However the park is large and by passing beyond this area you find a central cafe and large kids play area, a lake, and more large grassy areas. Also a newly refurbished athletics track and equipment which has occasional clubs, schools, etc occasionally running astound. Lots of dog walkers. Other entrances at Manor House station and Upper Tollington Park. At the far end from Finsbury Park entrance is a softball area with a refurbished pavilion. This area seems to be dodgy after dark, sadly there was a murder there one recent Christmas.
J. H.
I walk through the park every day . alot of activities , childern activities too .
the only thing that's puts me off is some people allow there dogs to mess all over the place and don't even pick it up .🤮🤮🤮. "shame on you " !!.
N. T.
Lovely park but spoilt by vagrants and litter. The place is usually filthy, rubbish strewn everywhere you look and bins over flowing. The council close the park to locals in the summer so they can put on concerts.
A. P.
Overall the park is good. Cyclists are able to cycle through or around the park which is great. The facilities are good too. For me as a cyclist it is a bit too short in distance when going around which is why I prefer another park to ride around.
E. D.
Finsbury park is one of good place to run. I cycle here every morning
S. B.
North London Park, has all the normal London park components: boating lake, adventure playground, cafe with toilets, gardens, spots facilities. Hosts some big events in summer but doesnt generally get as busy as some of the other parks. Highlight is the Parkland Walk a route that goes through Highgate to Alley Palley.
S. w.
Green space in London, always good, skatepark could be bigger, large expanse of concrete awaiting some mini ramps, rails and boxes, good to see they have upgraded the tennis courts..
A. B.
So much to do in this clean and vibrant park.
G. S.
There's a surprise here! Such a beautiful park! Unexpectedly, there's really cheap parking right alongside it from Endymion road entrance. There's a boating lake, fantastic children's play areas, an exhibition space, fab cafe. The absolutely best bit is the Steel Warriors outdoor gym. Free wifi by Sky, so you can exercise and listen to your sounds, take your selfies too. Steel Warriors take the ton of knives taken off of London's streets every month by the Met' police in knife amnesties & from crime . They melt them down to create outdoor body weight fitness gyms for challenging calisthenics workouts. Even better, the Co-op Foundation pays for Lee, a Personal Trainer, to give FREE sessions there twice a week. They are getting young people off the streets, away from crime and into something amazing with the ability to change mental and physical wellbeing, fitness and lives. Love it, Love it, Love it!
S. K.
Great park, way bigger than you think.
B. v. S.
Not as nice as Clissold park but directly next to tube and rail station. Cafe at top of hill. West exit to Parkland walk along long disused railway line is a nice long (3km) leafy walk or jog to Highgate.
S. F.
It has everything in here.
Playground for big and little children.
Skateboard park, tennis courts garden area.
The cafe serves the best food and it's cheap parking
D. C.
I know I said this about Hyde Park, Greenwich Park, Clapham Common, Battersea Park, Regents Park, Brockwell Park, Richmond Park, Beckenham Place Park, Primrose Hill & Jubilee Park & Garden but this is the best park ive ever been to.10/10 will park here again.
R. O.
A great open space for both families & dog lovers
A.
Nice open space to socialise with a big group. The sports courts are great to play some ball with whoever's around. However, the place can be overwhelmingly packed.
C. B.
Lovely park and plenty for the kids
A.
Real down to earth dogs here. You won’t find poodles prancing around in their waterproofs. The dogs here have a real edge to them.
O. A.
Great to see green and blue at the same time
N. G.
Large beautiful pub, nice place to walk your dog and play a little sports throughout. They seem to have everything from tennis courts, batting cages and other facilities
T. P.
Clean huge family park🙂
A. T.
This is a fairly good park. It has a small lake where you can hire out rowing boats, a cafe and tennis courts although these are tarmac. Its really close to Finsbury station. Not all the inner road is completely traffic free and some of it is a little bumpy for cycling around on a road bike.
j. C.
Beautiful London park perfect to chill with friends or go running
M. M.
My favorite park in North London, there are many activities during the whole year over here, nice neighborhood too , few steps from Finsbury Park underground and railway station which was extremely helpful to move around london or even travel to other cities through Finsbury park railway station
S. W.
Tennis courts were great. Nice friendly atmosphere during the day time...
M. A. M.
Really nice day out visited the funfair and had time out with the kids enjoying down time.
L. B.
It's quite clean and good for walks and pic nics
T. R. C. (.
Whenever I'm in London this is always my #1 relaxation spot! It's a minute walk from Victoria Line which to me is the greatest transport hub in the world so it's super easy and fast to get to and fro.
Sunbathing, skateboarding, tennis, basketball and track are just a few of the things I enjoy at Finsbury Park
t. b.
One of our favourite local park. Our kids love it.
S. S.
A great place the walking my dog. Numerous cafes and a host of fitness activities available, including Tennis, football and lawn bowling. Always very busy especially during a concert
E. Y. J.
It's a very nice park. Not much else to say.
Y. M.
Summer is in an air ,but Finsbury Park is always beautiful
S. B.
Big spacious park with lots of amenities
A. O.
I love Finsbury Park. It has everything. Its always busy too. Also fun fairs concerts make it more attractive. We are lucky to have this park.
M. D.
Really big park with lots of activities to do,including free gyms
T. R.
Lovely park!
Quite big and lots so see/do. Great resources and a good playground for kids
R. W.
Lots to do in the daytime. Always buzzing with activity. Sadly many park users leave all their rubbish behind and it can ruin the peace. In the night-time it's something else - don't go there after dark.
D. M.
Good park for walking running and relaxing. Good transport connections. Reasonable cafe near boating lake and a very nice cafe also situated near Manor House tube station
B. L.
I just love finsbury park. I've always loved it from a young teen now I'm a big woman I still love it. I now take my baby there😍I can tell she loves it too.
A. B. O.
I like the park. A good place to do some exercise and also to relax. I see people cleaning up the place all the time which is a plus.
H. B.
Best outdoor basketball courts in London. Excellent tennis courts. Great to run/ride round.
J. W.
Finsbury park is a vibrant cool community area of London. It has every nationality living and working together. The area is a great hub with cafes restaurants and bars. Only down fall is busy traffic.
Y. F.
Great for running, taking children to the playgrounds with a nice cafe. There is a nice small community that use the outdoor gym area in the mornings.
M. S.
First proper visit to the park and loved all the play areas and squirrel chasing opportunities
M. D.
Poorly maintained Park, missing benches, little recycling, cycling gates not open, rain gulleys, nice trees and many dogs. Good.
Q. T.
Lovely park to walk in!
S. K.
Traditional park, large enough to have parking within its boundaries (Pay & Display).
L. O.
Big park with pretty bits, a cafe and lots of sports facilities.
S. H.
It is a great place to go and relax on a sunny day. Bring a picnic some games you and family have fun.
S. J.
Park is nice enough cafe is great, was unfortunate to see two fights but there was an event on at the time, plenty of families there so guessing in general day time visits are pretty safe as any park should be
G. E. A.
Hooo I love this place you can cycle, walking round the park even in a grey day ya nice a walk plus you can stop for a coffe by Manor House nice coffe there
J. a.
Location for storage of filming units excellent 👌
J. M.
Great park. Lots of facilities including the American football and baseball fields and cafe in the centre. Usually event happening most weekends including concerts and fairground rides etc. Lots of people jogging or working out in groups most weekends
n. s.
Lovely park with allot outdoor fun, fitness play ground for little ones and different for grownups.
M. D.
I really enjoy the Latino Fesrival, wonderful ambience.
r.
Huge size & gd location of this park. Nxt to trains & busses. Gr8 events go on there. Popular park. But I think it needs upgrading, especially from the safety angle. Dark, scary & intimidating when nite draws in. Can feel very vulnerable there, especially when you're alone, ESPECIALLY in the winter. So much more can be done to, & in this park, its kinda wasted really. Prob due to greedy, but stingy management. Not really a year round "safe local friendly" vibe like highbury fields. SHAME ! 😞
J. K.
It's a London Park, very typical but it's my local and I love it 🙂.
N. J.
Had the best time ever. Various playgrounds for different age groups. Big area for football and picnics. Really nice and highly recommended
A. P.
A very nice park, especially in the summer. It doesn't get as busy as the bigger public parks, and there isn't as much here, but it's a good place to relax all the same.
D. A.
Beautiful and peaceful place
T. Y.
Very big so you can spend hours in there walking !
K. P.
Nice place for a run. Great hills.
R. G.
It's great to have a big space in London
T. T.
Great place to run or do walks however Finsbury Park in general has had a lot of robberies recently where people have had their mobile phones taken from them and pushed etc. Be super careful !
E. U.
1....Not enough bin for this big park ... so many events going on all the time it's always so busy and you can see all the rubbish all over the place
2... so many people walking dogs in this park but you don’t even have 1 water place for dogs
S. O.
Walk, jog, ride your bike, feed the ducks, skateboard, exercise or let the kids run, this park has it all. Basketball, tennis, enjoy nature. This is a great big park in North London.
B. P.
It's well landscaped, a decent-size park, but generally I have stopped going there with the dog as it is not a very clean park, especially after events and hot evenings / weelends .
E. O.
Nice park with tennis courts, a cafe, toilets (not 24hr), gym equipment, loads of playground equipment and space to enjoy.
Lots of rough sleepers towards the Finsbury Park station side of the park
T. N.
Went to feed the birds with my granddaughters. Got caught in the rain and saw a rainbow. Was cold but had a lovely couple of hours.
S. K.
The tennis club here is cool! Beginners club. Fun and get to meet new people. Check it out online. Park is huge and nice for a walk about. Ran my 5k here.
A. J.
Very big, there are some nice areas but it's usually very busy.
T. M.
Great place for a walk and some fresh air. Parking not great but at least it's free roadside. Beware of shutting times if you opt for the garden centre.
J. M.
This is a great place for children . There used to be viewing platform to watch the multiple trains going past but unfortunately this is no longer in use , but you can still watch the trains through the rails at the begining of the footbridge. Plenty of space. The children's play areas are excellent but slightly dangerous for young children but my 4 year old grandson loved clambering over the rocks as well as the large climbing frame. Rowing boats can be rented for £8 on the good sized lake. There is a cafeteria but it didn't seem to have small snacks eg croissant or sausage roll. Seemed like a bit of a wait to get served so didn't bother . There are one or two unsavoury characters and it seems that someone has been living in a tent for at least a month. But don't be put off it's still a good place to visit
