Reviews of Gunnersbury Park
T. R.
Nice park - a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Has sports fields inside (6 a side artificial soccer and full natural turf fields), also made up of multiple smaller parks inside.
T.
Churchills has lots of open space to breath. House outside and inside is not super impressive but land and surroundings worth to visit.
Paintings are child quality but helped him to think and relax so certainly better spent time than watching TV.
Part of British history. Must Visit

The best park in London - great for kids, couples, dog walkers, runners, football, cricket, bowls etc. Sunday Market has great produce and the park is full of interesting gardens, woods, a fishing lake, museum and insect hotel!
L. F.
I love Gunnersbury Park. It is just so pretty with its stunning white buildings, picturesque ponds, and lush vegetation. It is perfect for walking, cycling, running or just relaxing and having a good time alone or loved ones. Do visit when in the area!
Z. S.
What a beautiful hidden 💎 gem, very spacious, free admission to the museum with donation, nice play ground for the little ones, toilet facilities, nice gothic ruins, few ponds, and a great place to walk your dog.
F. I.
Beautiful Scenery Of Nature In All It's Glory!!
Greenhouses! Wide Variety Of Trees, Shrubs, Vines, Flowers, And More. Serenity... Great Place To Visit!
A. W.
First time I've visited the park for a very long time. Very surprised at how big it is and and the varieties of activities available to all age groups.Several ponds/ lakes are in the park and each has its wild life. At times I actually thought I was in the country and not a local park. Parking is available within the park.
H. M. N.
A beautiful park, full of interest dotted around. Beautiful planting and surrounds. A small pond with paddilos hire. Great fun, not too big hence not intimidating for children.
Coffee, icecream, snacks available
m. F.
Large park, 3 ponds, museum, ducks, swans, geese, playing fields, trees, open spaces and free parking. Beautiful park steeped in history every corner you take
S. S.
What a place! So many gorgeous buildings, gardens, sights, gorgeous massive trees, ponds even saw a turtle in the water. One of my favourite parks in London. Toilet are open till late and much higher standards than usual park toilets.
M. B. h.
Lovely massive green park! I love running here or just have peaceful walks, perfect spot to meditate and breath fresh air!
Also, it's incredible how many cute dogs i meet everyday and how happy that makes me feel 😊
A. H.
Fantastic park. Lovely buildings and plants, during spring it is a joy to walk and feel the parfume of all flowers. There is a lake with ducks waiting to feed them. Lots of grass area for picnics, 10 out of 10.
J. G.
I love this park. Good place for a walk, for kids, for a good reading or just relaxing. Bit wild too.
C. K.
Beautiful large open space. Very nice to just have a stroll or sit down and enjoy a nice relaxing day. Good for families. Beautiful pond with swans and other beautiful birds. A great place for dog walkers.

The one good thing about lockdown, is I’ve discovered so many local parks that I’d never had the time to previously visit! Lovely park, there’s so much to see just on the grounds including various ruins and historical buildings. The information boards throughout the park provide historical info. Sadly the museum was still closed due to Covid, but I’ll hopefully be back when it’s warmer.
There’s a free car park on site and you can also park on the nearby roads at weekends.
Lovely place to come for a walk with family, friends or pets.
S. I.
Vast green space with plenty of free perimeter parking especially the three areas closest to the children's play park and the sports centre. Pleasant walking with a choice of tarmac paths or traversing the grass. There's a lovely variety of seating : curved benches, large wooden logs, and sculpted chairs from hewn tree trunks. Some of the tall trees are cordoned off with no explanation or plaque dedicated to them indicating age or precious status. Slightly annoying for this avid tree hugger. The range of plants pretty and well tended which is hardly surprising as Capel Manor College is embedded in the park, offering arboricultural and horticultural courses. Something on my list of stuff to do in 2022. Worth visiting the temple peddalo pond. Great fun cooling down with the ducks.
V. B.
Love this park, great space to spend time with the kids. Great playground, lovely lake, and a museum that has lots of good activities on throughout the year. Recently made monster masks, which my 3 YO daughter enjoyed. Sad the cafe burnt down and is still not rebuilt, but there is a great little independent coffee and cake van there at the moment. Highly recommend for a weekend outing.
D. M.
This is my local park, and I love going here with friends, and whe I am dog sitting sitting.
K. F.
A beautiful park, interesting plants, flowers and trees! Clean and has good amenities, coffee shops etc, great!!
K. M.
Busy and yet so much has changed around Gunnesbury. I have visited the gym and was very pleased with the lady who took time to walk me around the complex and talk about its facilities. I may consider joining the gym on the days when I am not doing the laps around the park. There is nothing better after a hectic day at work than a workout followed by a glass of red:)
B. G.
Beautiful park in between Brentford and Gunnersbury.
Good for runs (the loop is 4km), walks and taking a break from the screens of the office.
M. M.
Amazing park near Acton town. Never thought it would be that nice. Really clean and tidy. Beatifull scenery with trees and flowers eveywhere. Nice signs placed everywhere with historic facts about the park. Footpaths and pathways to everywhere . Gym and fields everywhere. Tennis courts and playing fields present. A real jewel for Acton. If you want to spend 2 hours in green pastures and don't want to go to Richmond this is the place.
I. M.
Full of nature's beauty and greenery.
Very close to nature. Habitat of hundreds of species.
L. H.
Peaceful corner of paradise 😍 fantastic choice for cyclist, joggers or simply reading a book immerse in tranquillity.
D. G.
Beautiful, clean and well kept. Lovely water features and safe paths to wander through. A small stall were you and get a drink near the stately home in the park and an ice cream truck in the summer. Perfect.
R. S.
Large green landscape, some interesting rare trees, artificial Lake and the museum for local history in the recently renovated building. It's a big shame the restaurant was destroyed in recent fire. I will recommend to everyone to visit this lovely Park specially during a sunny days.
M. L.
Beautiful large park to wander around, featuring a nice pond with swans and lots of large grass areas where you can sunbathe or have a picnic etc.
T. A.
Amazing place, Quite and Calm and with real nature feel. The middle and side pond with classic British castle like struct! Worth to visit!!
S. U. (.
beautiful park, particulary in foggy days
M. M.
It's grateful place for relaxing biking sunbathing. There is area for playing football and area for kids .
J. G.
Leaving in the area for the last 15 years, this park is part of the family life: simple walks, playing with the kids when they were young and going to the playground, jogging in the morning, afternoon or sometime at night, having a drink at the cafe (before it burnt). I prefered however how it was before the sport centre was built. It still had then this old atmosphere of the traditional english parks with the old bowling fields, big wide areas and kind of wilderness. However,it remains a very nice park and is still one of the biggest in the area.
س. س.
I like it it's very nice and clean park
I had the lovely picnic with my friends
J. B.
Lovely park. Lots of activity and sports going on. Can easily find tranquil spots if needed though.
C. B.
We went here for an early morning Saturday walk and really enjoyed it. Lovely walking trails with open fields and ponds and architecture to walk by. There is a path that loops around that you can take in different directions. We were there the same time as a race which attracted a lot of runners. Pleasant and peaceful place to walk or run.
D. J.
Pretty good and beauty place! This is a big park where you can do many things. We love it!
N.
Beautiful park with A LOT to offer. Great for a quick (or a long) jog, for a picnic with family, to study or chill alone. If you enter from one end, the park may seem small, but it's actually HUGE with a cricket, football field in another corner of the park. Also has a children's play section in another area.
The best part about this park is the number of dogs you bump into at any point during the day, be it early morning, noon, evening or night. The park shuts at 9pm
J. S.
Huge lovely park. Definitely worth a picnic or two!
I. S.
I was only on the north side of the park, but I can see it's a beautiful park, I will be back there soon ❤
J. R.
Amazing mansion brought back to life set in a nice park, we had a walk through the park and had fresh coffee from a mobile vender and looked at the mansion in awe, nice to see traditional buildings like this being saved for the future.
A. A. B.
This place was a very pleasant discovery, with so many beautiful things inside. It has many trails, so people can walk or run without it being boring. The renovated buildings are lovely and the even they host are interesting and nice.
U.
Love this park. Used to visit regularly as a child. Visited recently and am thrilled with the building restorations! The pond and fountain behind the main mansion is exquisite! I'm so pleased the round boating pond has affordable pedalos! Such a shame the new cafe had fire damage, but there is a van nearby selling food in the interim. There's so much for children and adults to enjoy in this park. Would be interested to see the museum and Victorian kitchens again!
A. L.
Lovely park and very big too. Great for jogging and hanging out with friends and family. There's fountains, pond with swans, cafe and more.
E. L.
I love going to Gunnersbury Park because is not far where I used to go to College (Capel Manor College).Beautiful flowers and Trees 🌳🌳💐🌸💐.
They also got a Museum there aswell
M. P. -. B.
A lovely large park with a wide variety of plant species, well maintained gardens and buildings. A Parkrun takes place each Saturday and a brand new leisure centre is literally taking shape day by day. There is also a cafe and a free museum in the park.
It will be interesting to see the leisure centre finished and functional.
M. W.
A nice park, parking area off popes Lane and a children's playground. There are currently some work being completed to it but it didn't take away from the experience. There is a nice pond area and the park is generally clean. Quite alot of litter around the children's playground which was a shame but a nice place for a walk.
S. N.
Great place to bring the kids or have a picnic. There is a small lake where one can rent pedalos. A small cafe where they sell alcolic drinks like pimms and soft drinks. Nice crepes are also avaliable. Best of all parking is free😉
M.
Great place for kids and families, we go often and it's always nice. Plenty of free parking spaces available very close to the playground.
I. D. R.
Beautiful park, full of green, spots for kids and families, plenty of space for pets and beautiful lakes and fountains. The elegant buildings here and there blend well with the park and give a fancy, magical atmosphere to the place. Truly a wonderful place.
M. m.
Extremely clean, not too busy, good equipment, and a different brand of gym kit which is nicer than other Better centres
V. R.

An area of outstanding beauty. The park contains an architecturally beautiful museum, a lake, cafe, floodlit tennis courts, an Italian garden and more.

lovely place to meet up in open air, and we walked all the way round the park, and then had a nice tea from the place by the museam entrance...a lovely afternoon, also felt quite safe, as lots of onsite gardeners and staff covering all areas of the park ..i was a bit curious about all the motorhomes parked by the car park, there are a lot of them !
K. D.
Lovely place for walk and picnic. Has parking, kids playground, etc
A. P.
Big, clean and green. This kind of sums it up. I have been there several times, mostly late afternoon and evenings but have never found it crowded or very busy. Its a perfect spot for peace and tranquility.
M. W.
I love it ... nice combination of open spaces playing fields and forest covered paths provide an interesting opportunity for dogs and their owners as well as individuals and families. Theres Gunnersbury museum and a sport centre in the park and lots of coffee stands dotted around so you're never to far from a nice hot drink
C. S.
Such a beautiful park. Had never been here before so was nice to explore. It is very big and expands quite wide.
Had a play area for the little kids, had football pitches for use and had a couple of little food stalls which sold things like ice cream, coffees, cakes and Pimm's.
R. J.
Great place to lounge around on sunny days! The cafe is under construction currently but there was a food truck and an ice cream truck.
I. S.
Very nice place, with a good playground and sports equipments. Suitable for families with children.
A. 2. J.
I love this park , huge, all areas are great for family's, kids play area , fantastic areas for dogs to fun free.
Water fountains , so pleasent . Can't fault this park , great for picnics & just generally chilling out
D.
Nice large park for a afternoon stroll, not the most exciting in London but some nice lakes. Entrances/exits at top of park near Acton Town a little confusing but lots of maps around.
D. S.
I love this park. It really is beautiful and so many amazing things to see. Very lucky to have it on our door step. Good facilities as well
V. R.
I love this park , it’s really beautiful and because i love trees and in general nature this park gave me the opportunity to enjoy the nature. I don’t need to go far to the forest cos here i have everything what i need 😍
C.
Loads of car park facilities
Coffee house
Large open spaces great for walkers, runners and sports enthusiasts!
L. F.
Lovely park, went in from the South entrance and found it quite plain at first (just open space), but there are actually playgrounds and ponds, and even buildings and walls from 1800s
F. M.
Great park with alot of scenery. Kids love the playground, close to the car park. Nice pond area and cafe. Good place for all ages to enjoy
p. b.
Wonderful park for children and family. Open space for walking your dog, sport, meditation and... . Clean and safe with amazing Museum full of history of the Ealing area ( west London ).
A. A.
The Gunnersbury Park, is located in the Chiswick area of London. It is a very very big park, that has existed since the 1800s. It has Kong’s stretch of walks for exercise and dog walk, good sitting areas, ponds and a green ambiance. It is a nice place to be.
A. B. (.
A very open park with lots of different areas to enjoy. Be careful walking back to Acton Town station particularly in the dark as it isn't obvious and can add a mile or two to the walk. Went there for the Gunnersville Doves concert which was very well organised and not overcrowded.
A. Z.
A new discovery for me! I had no idea Gunnersbury Park was so beautiful with so many gorgeous buildings. When we went they also had a bar open serving pimms and lemonade.
L. G.
Open spaces for families to enjoy. Nice big trees for shade. Boat hire is available which makes a great day out! Also a cafe by the lake. Nice big park, lots to explore.
G. M.
Great place for walking, relaxing, or even entertaining kids. Low cut grass and big wide trees are equally suitable for picnic and for not-too-intensive (foot-, volley-, feather-) ball games. Food and drinks are sold at a few outlets next to the Museum. There are several benches, but you better be prepared to sit on the ground rather on a chair. Hope soon they will be able to restore the damaged cafeteria. Overall, we have had a lovely afternoon on a hot summer day.
P. M.
As wonderful as ever wife and kids went out on the pedalos giving me 15 minutes of peace
M. K.
Gunnersbury Park is one of the most interesting places from historical point of view. It has a nice Museum located in a house of famous banker Leopold Dr Rothchild, two Children's Playgrounds and a Cafe. There is a midow area in the Park and a couple of ponds. I also like the idea that soon it will have a sports centre next to one of the playgrounds. Highly recommended.
C. P.
Beautiful place to be with your friends and family. I liked the playground and the lake with ducks and hydro bicycles
J. R.
Such a beautiful majestic park, full of joyous dogs, wonderful place to visit, uplifting
P. M.
It's wonderful lovely park to enjoy it in every step you walk with people, alone ,walk the dog visit the museum free entry or set in the cafeteria, good food and drink looking over the park and more just try i do this once a month .
j. h.
Nice open gardens, shame the coffee shops not open yet due to a fire last year but you can still get coffee from two coffee stall at the front of the house.
S. D.
Great spot! Great for keeping the kids busy and for - beats the Xbox and PlayStation all day long!
S. S. (.
Took a walk through the park to check out the new Duckpond Market which is in on the 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month... There is an absolute gem of a guy there selling authentic Croatian foods, cured meats and TRUFFLES! I cannot recommend highly enough! The best real meat sausages I've ever purchased in London.
As for the rest of the park, well (I've not been here since a child) the water has all but dried up and the features I used to love about the grounds have all but disappeared. The kids park despite its refit and is a sorry sight, akin to all the other delapadated buildings the local authority has let go to ruin. Such a shame as the grounds are (in part) a beautiful timepiece to what west London was before industry and mankind ruined it.
E. P.
Beautiful park with lots of things to see there. Perfect for running and family friendly.
D. D. B.
My favourite park in London. It is very wild and silent. Once through the gates it seems to be miles away from the city!
A. A.
Absolutely amazing lesson in museum, even adults were fully focused:-)
A. S.
This park is very big and it’s amazing for medium and long distance run. I’ve done there 6km runs to runs above half marathons and I’m still not bored running there frequently.
R. M.
Great Park for a walk small lakes and few follies Gunnersbury Pk Museum is free and worth a visit just for the kitchens
T.
Beautiful and large park. Nice to ride a bike, walk with your dog and play with children. There is also a small playground, boats for rent, football club, free tennis courts etc.
S. A.
Walked through here on my way to work and I have to say this park is lovely. Very clean and very green, I will definitely find some time to revisit on weekend
P. C.
Delightful autumn afternoon stroll in the gardens and house. Drinks available upto sundown on the terrace.
A perfect venue for outdoor music.
M. C.
Beautiful park for families. Well looked after x
J. K.
Amazing park with lots to see. Old mansions, two lakes, great architecture. There is a perfect afternoon tea or lunch cafe-pub next to one entrance.
M. M.
It is most beautiful park in West London :):)
M. R.
Fun sunday festival. Drinks quite overpriced but no more than any other london festival.
Happy atmosphere, family environment. Would go again
j. b.
Last here over 2 years ago.
Although incomplete it’s already evident that the extensive renovations, landscaping and repurposing are impressive.
Here find a superb array of veteran trees, heritage gardens, restored historical buildings, museum, ponds, sports facilities, new restaurant and playground.
Ongoing improvements providing the irresistible impetus to rightfully count this park amongst London’s finest.👍🏼
I. E.
We love the park. It was recently renovated and is spacious and bright. There is a lot to discover. Shame they would introduce parking fee soon.
J. R.
Extensively refurbished Mansion and Park by Lottery Heritage Fund.
New horseshoe pond and new cafe.
Worth a visit.
Onsite parking available.
C. L.
It's a lovely, massive park. I walk, jog, journal, sketch, and get up to all sorts of wonderful things that make me feel like a more complete being.
R. E.
I really enjoyed my visit to Gunnersbury Park because it has a museum, a exercise centre, and a large park among many other attractions.
M. &. C. C.
Great park, spacious and well looked after. Has a bit of everything, a pound, a playground, a museum, a vegetable garden, an orangerie, a fountain, plenty of green space and trees.
M. L.
Small but just enough of a space to incorporate an alternative selection of viewpoints and a pretty cool cafe/restaurant to reflect on the calming day you just had.
O. C.
Fantastic place with lots to do and lots of open space to enjoy.
F. x.
A lovely place to go on a sunny day, take a picnic and enjoy walks all around the park as well as visit the manor house.
S. A.
This is my local park. Usually when I visit it with friends we have coffee or lunch around the pond, but last time we decided to walk around through the whole park and I was surprised how big it is.
S. M.
So much work has gone into restoring this park. Beautiful spot in a built up area.
L. T. T.
Fantastic play to got and visit and relax, plenty of places to see and sit down and most of all it's free parking too and free to get in
M. A.
Perfect for a day out. Parking isn't too bad, but if the nearby football pitches have matches on, you might struggle to get a space
A. B.
Beautiful walks , water bodies and fountains ⛲
M. W.
Nice park facilities we were attending football so didn't get to visit museum
R. M.
Very beautiful park. My son loves to see swans and ducks there.
J. S.
Undeniably one of my favorite parks in London. We jog and go biking almost every week as we live 5 mins away. Its well maintained, lots of open spaces, several lagoons and a museum.
S. O.
Beautiful, Exceptional, a great place to visit at anytime of the year, I especially like the mature trees
S. C.
Gunnersbury Park is the most popular place to walk your dogs. I walk my dog there every week and my Dog gets to meet lots of new dog friends which is fun. Gunnersbury Park used to have a family Golf Course before it became a wide open park for everyone to have a walk around but only a few sand pits are still around. It's a very popular park and I do reccommend it a lot.
C. L.
Boating lake open again on weekends! Fabulous setting with swans, ducks and geese. Free parking, cafe and playground. Beautiful park with acres of space to play. Gardeners have planted wonderful flower beds to enjoy. Sports Centre will hopefully re-open soon.
C. A.
Didn't stay long so not much time to look around.
J. C.
Lovely park, with lots of space to walk. Good options for a coffee as well
M. M.
Very well maintained park. Ideal for running and walking. There is a very nice circular walk inside.
M. D. C.
Really nice park with big open spaces. Playground for the kids, big and nice for runners, and the perfect place to spend the weekend with the family.
H. K.
Lovely park for people to walk, run, take dogs for walks. Great for kids as they have a lovely playground there. Nice spots for you to have picnics
E.
A great space for a long walk, a hidden oasis.
A. L.
This park is absolutely stunning, very accessible. They have several ponds and little secluded areas where you can sit in peace. The cafe is fantastic and they do great coffee. The park is always clean and just a nice place to go for a stroll or to sit on one of the benches or even a workout. It is a big park but at key areas there are maps so you are able to navigate your way through.
D. L.
Beautiful park, with a stunning pond and a series of victorian buildings that create a fantastic atmosphere
J. L. N.
Enjoyed the museum, I learned a lot about the region. Also, my kids loved the playground.
J. E.
Lovebox was emotional! First time the festival is at Gunnersbury Park which I grew up in so I'm glad it's getting some exposure for the great park that it is. We had fun.
a.
Lovely park with huge playing fields for all kinds of sports, multi paths around the park so you never walk the same route twice, theres a museum that nearly finished, a flower garden, duck pond and a cafe.
Every Saturday 9am there's a 5km park run that a few hundred people partake in weekly.
U. F.
Beautiful park, loads to see and do. My kids really enjoyed their time there. We go often and will keep doing so.
T. P.
Great Gem of a place in the busy streets of London. A family run pub with a warm welcome. We swapped stories about Ireland and had such a great afternoon with Damien (pub owner) he really made us feel at home. We will definitely be going again, thank you.
S. V.
Fantastic playground and park area. Would be great if more food options were available for little ones. Lovely place to enjoy.
I. A.
Beautiful park, very big with lots of diversity from playgrounds, to wildlife, lakes, ruins and sport facilities. Also has free parking, but slow on the renovations.
G.
Moroccan Cedar Tree in Gunnerbury Park is dead and being chopped down today. The Oldest Tree in the Park.. very sad.
V. C.
It is a great well-kept park. There are facilities for children to play safely, masses of green space, toilet facilities, a museum, a pedalo pond & more!!! The weekly market stalls, sell so many different things, from food to jewellery, salad dressings to candles, all small businesses, all amazing. The stalls were nicely spread out so you weren't on top of people. Now we're in semi-post-covid living, it's nice to be able to enjoy an outside space buy quality goods, made by driven people and actually be able to enjoy a day out with friends & family🤗🤗🤗
R. M.
Lovely big park lots of space, fields for picnics/kite flying/football and woodland to explore. It’s a shame a new gym building has been built in the centre adding to more traffic and less tranquility. Entrance to car park is ridiculously narrow, and regularly causes traffic issues on popes lane
C. C.
It is a great place to visit. There are lots of beautiful things to see. On the day I came, an open market with lots of interesting stalls was there.
Unfortunately, there are three things 1-I did not like : the toilets were unclean, 2- I could see people giving white industrial bread to ducks and it is not good for them in the long run,3- I have seen beer cans next to the pond opposite the Temple and plastic bags in the basin of the Italian Garden.
Z. T.
It gets very busy in good weather and not just playground.
A.
It's a pleasant park to go with your family. There are some public amenities.
g. p.
Lovley park full of pretty features like ponds. Little coffee stall, markets some weekends and a mix of forest, field and park landscape. Large enough to walk peacefully without hoards of people. Weekends or later in the day is obviously busier.
S. G.
The perfect blend of park, woods, lakes n coffee.
V.
An oasis in the concrete jungle that is Acton! The Sunday Farmer's Market is also a bonus.🙂
Well worth a visit.👍🏾
M. G.
A secret tranquil gem on the west side of the city. With many more popular parks being packed at weekends such as hyde park this is a great and well maintained alternative. Highly recommend for those seeking something more quiet.
T. l. s.
I love gunnersbury Park because you can explore cool places, go boating, see some birds and see nature. Its a lovely historic place you can also go for walks and jogs wild life is amazing.
H. J.
Lovely park to visit. Walk, jog or ride around the park. It's pretty big and has food trucks scattered on site. Massive car park also
M. T.
I love coming here for picnics with family. It's great for walks. The playground area has a small zipwire that my children love to go on.
C. V.
Great for walking the dog, there's a park for kids and a cafe 50 meters next to the north entrance.
M. G.
Perfect autumn day out!! Beautiful colours and loads of space!!
R. S.
Only there for a few hours, but it's a lovely place to walk
t. h.
Excellent park for kids, dogs and adults.
Responsible dog walkers.
Good coffee bar & brilliant farmers market 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month.
Visually stunning with a lovely mansion house and swan/ duck ponds.
Highly recommended
M. N.
Very beautiful green space, where you can relax. You van find a barf inside and toilets.
V. K.
Great for walking, with large playground, many dog walkers. Busy café within the park.
H. D. S.
Beautiful as usual!! Peddle boats now! Fantastic! A pity no cafeteria or any replacement.
Z. E.
An amazing, huge park with fields, woods, play areas, meadows, a cafe and manor house. It is a spectacular hidden London gem and is well worth a visit.
D. B.
Lovely scenery and lots of space. Great, all-rounded location for friends, families, hospitality, sports and events.
J. K.
Wonderful huge park only slightly marred by many abandoned buildings and the metal fences at the top end.
G. H.
It has beauty, a quite place to walk or picnic meeta few friendly people
A. N.
I really like this park. Some quiet corners and secluded bits...old buildings, water. All the good stuff
J. W.
A lovely big park, you feel like you are in the country,3 lakes.playgroud for the children.
Z. S.
Big park
A. W.
Wonderful tranquil place to stroll when it's hot as lots of shady paths, folly, lakes, wildflower meadow just beginning to show a few flowers, ponds, interesting Gothic 'ruins', grand house - still shut - Italian Garden - kiosk serving drinks and snacks and good ice cream and lots more.
g. m.
Very nice park, the biggest in the area. Fully refurbished a few years back, it has a few good playgrounds with the typical mansion and a vast front garden where one can spend lovely days in the warm season.
I. S.
Even at this time of year (April), a vey lovely park - will be even better after the building renovations.
Will definitely return on my bike when it gets warmer.
Great place for picnics, fanilies, couples, kids & alone!
P.
One of my favourite parks in London!
R. O.
Lovely park and great open space, only downside is the dogs roam free so be careful.
C. P.
Lots of work going on in the park bringing back its old charm. Great place to take a walk, enjoy the scenery and stop off for coffee or a pizza at Benugo.
G. P.
Lovely park. A lot better than I expected! Although I don't understand why the built a fresh sports center next door to the derelict building and not knock down the old one?
The kids loved the play park and the ponds.
K. M.
On this visit the park was pretty busy (sunny spring weather and impending easing of lockdown drawing the crowds). However, it was still pleasant to walk around, seeing daffodils and magnolia blossom and, nice to enjoy the relative normality of the market that was at the rear of Gunnersbury House. We bought some nice bread, cheeses, charcuterie and, a few other things to enjoy after our walk.
V. F.
Nice and big park in Gunnesbury. It has lots of space in the sun or shadow, as you prefer.
D. B.
Large park, with a nice new cafe, amazing museum, 2 separate ponds (1 with a fountain), loads of green areas to walk your dogs and sunbathe when the sun is shining
D. H.
It's a very lovely place to go and enjoy and relax
R. E.
The team behind the Park have really lifted it up in recent years and it keeps on improving. Great outdoor spaces - some cultivated gardens and ponds as well as more wild feeling wooded areas and wide open spaces. The museum is great and there's a new sports centre being built too.
H. H.
Lovely park
J. S.
Fantastic run on a sunny day #parkrun
B. C.
Amazing place. Lovely to walk around with clear and clean pathways. Dog walkers would love this park. Events and festivals are also done here.
M. H.
Thats the most haunted park in London but you will never be able to see that part of the park wich i saw yesterday
P. !.
Gunnersbury Park is great for meeting friends and walking either on its perimeter or within the park itself. It has enough concrete pavers within the park to not have to wear walking boots. There are a few features in terms of old buildings (dilapidated) and those buildings and a garden has some.history which is worth reading about.
It is well serviced for cars in and around the park as well as a small car park within it. It also is fairly well kept, (except the house). So definitely worth a visit for a walk and a talk.
h. n.
Its a fun and family friendly park with a playground for little kids
S.
Such a nice and big park for almost anything, there is a gym, park, an area for bikers to play at, and more. I would recommend coming here on a sunny day to hangout or for a picnic.
P. S.
Beautiful park. Great to visit on a daily basis. It is impressive everything from the gardens and the meadows to the stylish buildings. The only downside is that they use the big lake for anglers and there is no place for dogs to swim. That is really annoying especially in the hot days....
K. K.
I have been enjoying this park since I was a child and am now enjoying it with my grandchildren. So sad the cafe has burnt down but thanks for the mobile coffee/drinks trendy units. Brilliant that the boats have returned to the lake. Football pitches are fantastic. Thanks to everyone who has worked so hard to make this park so great.
S. H.
We had a great day and night at the park! With three play parks to choose from, great walks and even a bar and toilets I can highly recommend a visit. As a bonus at the moment the carpark is free (please double check when you visit as I am sure they are going to charge soon)
K. O.
Lovely park for picnics and social distancing celebrations. The park has a bar and a cafe and facilities... lovely small ponds for feeding the birds. Can book a peddling boat on one of the ponds. Nice for a walk or sit on a lovely day. Nice for some photography interest as well.
N.
Lovely and big place. Very nice during week days. A bit too busy during weekend. Good amount of benches to sit down. Dogs loved it too.
E. G. b.
Good new sport center and park is getting better really nice place
C. R.
Very beautiful park in autumn!!!🤗
l. e.
Another West London gem amongst the hussle and bussle of traffic. Dog walking, running, old Japanese oaks..
A. C.
Absolutely beautiful grounds with a nice mix of playing fields, football pitches, playgrounds and small forest areas. FULL of dogs so its great for dog walking and there is a lovely mobile cafe there too.
K. M.
Lovely park and the redone gardens are quite nice. Generally dog friendly except that dogs aren't allowed in the ponds which is a shame (but the birds are probably very thankful for it). Nice market in the summer. Hope the cafe comes back soon as it burned down recently.
S. E.
Nice local park with a museum in the park . Originally it belonged to the Rothschild family
G. W.
Gorgoeus park to stroll around - Plenty of things to see and do. There are houses, temples, conservatories, all tucked in the grounds, surrounded by beautiful gardens. Huge duck pond to sit and watch the world go by. There was also a place to buy hot / cold drinks. Lots of families and dog walkers, but respectful of space and social distancing
S. L.
No too overcrowded right now. A bit wild. Big open space in the south part of the park. Shame that a large pond is only accessible for fishing and members only. A lot of fallen trees, now cut down to smaller pieces.
P. G.
Its a noce park to go for a jog or walk through in the evening, helps that there is a small bar cart there adds a bit of personality to the place
T. N.
Great place to bring kids to, lots to do. Museum was very good. Green space is excellent for dogs.
E. B.
Love the place , big green area , small forest inside as well , place for kids to play and lots of dogs
D. H.
I walk my dogs here everyday and I feel so blessed to have it on my door stop. Some stunning Japanese cedar and English oak 👌
E. D.
Beautiful open park. Perfect for a bike ride or just to take out your dog.
K. T.
This place is massive and it’s just got better after the renovations. New cafe, museum, and playground make it worth your while to visit.
A. L.
Very nice and beautiful park...lovely open space...great for kids.
B.
A great park to visit with kids. There is one big playground and one smaller near the caffe which is offering also vegan dishes.
S. D. G.
Beautiful park. I wish I could spend my whole life there. Everything clean. I recommend to go on summer and to take a sunbath
A. I.
Large open space, play ground, water fountain and sports pitch and tennis courts. Sports gym on site as well. Hopeful coffee shop will be restored soon.
W. S.
Plenty space for any activities, two play grounds for kids in any age
D. A.
Lovely park, recently upgraded buildings from lottery funding
T. W.
Hidden gem....lovely park to stroll around and/or have a picnic in. There's an artisanal market on Saturdays. Good vibe, busy but everyone socially distancing well.
Z. S.
Beautiful park with plenty of parking. Nice little ponds with the ducks and sitting areas. I would recommend it for a nice day out with the family especially during Covid-19
J. G.
A really nice park. Big, lovely trees, great wild areas, a fine museum, lake. Great for Dog walkers
A. M.
A nice big park with a children's playground. There is a lake where you can hire pedalows and feed the ducks, swans and moorhens. The car park is large and free. Gunnersbury museum is in the park although we didn't visit. There is a bar around the back of the museum and a man selling hot drinks.
F. w. w.
It's a really nice park. Very spacious and l love walking around it. Very well maintained and during times when it is not busy soothing as well. However my only complaint is that these days it's always too full. Probably that's a testament to its beauty and greatness.
V. T.
Wonderful park with delicious coffee depots
P. N.
Beautiful, Tranquil and Serial. A must visit if your ever in West London. Lovely for a walk, picnic and seeing the gorgeous Swans.
C.
Amazing park with lots to do and has easy access to lots of activities. However there where alot of fences blocking off green areas at the time of my visit for reasons I am unaware of.
j. v.
Toilets are locking automatically at 5pm. If you are in toilet... Well you will have to call fire brigade as you can't come out. Happened to me and my son. It was terrifying experience for a little one.
e.
Has toilets, a playground, lots of paths and space to walk in with ponds plus a beautiful house and museum. What more could you ask for! Only a shame they haven't refurbished the other house
R. A.
Beautiful, tranquil park
C. G.
Great Park, really enjoy the Saturday market. Park has an excellent variety of areas from large grass areas to gardens and ponds.
F. F.
Awesome day out to train with the Be Military Fit family 😊👍🏽 🥊
Can’t believe how amazing it is in the winter months when the whole community come together 😂👏🏽
I. C.
A wonderful large park. Beautiful flowers and trees, wonderful for climbing for little ones. Endless space and a large dollop of historical buildings/ruins littered around the park.
V. T.
Love this Park! I cycle, read and meditate there.
G.
Plenty of parking, large open spaces, several food and drink stalls, playground, boating lake and clean public toilets. All you need for a nice, socially distanced, day out.
T. L.
Big skies and sylvan paths, miniature wildernesses mixed with Edwardian folly and fancy. Large sports facilities if you're into that sort of thing.
D. M.
Very nice park! Quite place to spend a day off in London.
C. H.
A lovely park. So peaceful and relaxing
M. C.
Beautiful Park Good for your kids and adults have a nice break....nice walks 0ark for kids to play and Saturdays boats on lakes 4 people per boat its fantastic

Fantastic park. Lovely play area, boating lake- sadly no boats atm, green space for football, fab cafe and brilliant museum
M. S.
Love this park used to play here as a kid
S. S.
Great place to walk 🚶♂️👌.
A. M.
Lovely all round park for sports, picnics, ball games, boating, a takeaway café, museum visit, dog walking, play park and running. Easy to get to by public transport. They host nice popup markets too on occasion.
L. U.
Great Park for bike rides! It is very big! Bowling place in construction! Kids playground, two lakes, great for families and dog walks. #biking #bikerides #familyfun #petfriendly #londonpark
A. R.
Gunnersbury park is a great park, large and fairly open. It's fairly dog friendly, has a decent amount of parking, multi purpose pitches and a couple of ponds. We're lucky to have this spot on our doorstep.
K. S. G.
An amazing place to spend the day, you have so much to experience at this place if you love nature and beautiful plants and trees. Highly recommended
S. S.
Excellent tennis court area. 8 courts. Book on line with Better Gyms for about £8.50 an hour
S. G.
Great place to visit! When we were there they had a stalls, selling a variety of products! Will definitely go back there when we are back in London!
K. P.
A beautiful Park allowing for great dog walks, children's activities and jogging. However, gradually being ruined by development and they are now building houses on the land. There will soon be very little left to enjoy so get there whilst you can!
J. M.
Beautiful place to go anytime of the year. The lottery funding has helped with the huge refurbishments of the park. There is a new area where crops are being planted. The grounds provide an educational experience for both adults and children. The paths are smooth which makes it a perfect place for cycling or skating. There are many historic buildings to look at. The park is also a great place for jogging.
Y. C.
Gunnersbury Park really nice. There has been so much improvements.
Also visited the Gunnersbury Museum... After the refurbishment it's so much better since the last one. Posh, Clean and a real joy to go around the Museum... With two more upper floors to visit and a lovely glass lift, if anyone can't tackle the stairs. There's also a lovely Waterfall flowing into a Lake and Boating Pond in full use with lovely boats that you can pedal for a little ride on the water. Haven't visited Gunnersbury Park for a few years and was really impressed with all the lovely improvements.
A. M.
Is very big park you can play ride the bike and quite place
r.
Lots of tables on the main playground great for a picnic with family and friends
S. R.
I have been here a few times and it still a beautiful park steeped in history and the historical buildings including the 18th century temple. Lovely place to walk around.
M. J.
Nice wide open space. Parkrun on a Saturday
I. K.
Lovely place for families and dog walkers
a. p.
This is a beautiful park, as a child i was brought here with my parents, as a teenager it was a great space to explore and meet up with friends, more recently walked around and enjoyed a sunny day out with a coffee and newspaper. It has a great museum for local knowledge and history of the building and surrounding areas. Some fun activities for the children. Overall a great day out what ever the weather.
M.
I run on daily basis in this park. It feels safe as there is alqays people around. A lot of cute pets running freely, with great spots to lay, get tanned for the day. I wish I could put 5 stars because it has the potential to be as good really as Regent's Park, but unfortunately they don't get enough funds to repair the buildings and take care of the pond and plants, such a pity!
p. o.
What a wonderful day out with our Grandchildren we meet one of your woman gardening people what a great tribute to Guensbury to have such a fantastic person! Thank you for making our day so informative/ enjoyable for our Grandchildren!
S. H.
Great local park. Lots of restoration work has been done over the last couple of years. Really nice park for the children with a couple of good play areas. A lovely cafe with really good quality pizzas, lunches, soft drinks and beers.
D. L.
I love this local park. It’s so beautiful and has everything you need for a day out. Children’s play area, a cafe that has great pizzas. A beautiful garden with gorgeous architecture and a museum, which is free entry. My favourite time to go is in spring, when the magnolias blossom
D. M.
Lovely Park . With a beautiful museum, a nice coffee shop , lots of spaces to enjoy the gifts of nature
S. P.
Arrived just after 7pm so there was parking spaces by the entrance on Gunnersbury Ave. The park was probably quieter than it had been during the day. It was a warm, sunny day and even during lockdown there's enough space to distance yourself from others. Did a workout and stayed till sunset. Beautiful outdoor space.
L. r.
I have been visiting this park since I was a little girl. Still beautiful and have a new sports hub opening up. They have extended the car park also with more spaces.
M. S.
Another great open space for my dogs
E. A.
It's a big park. I loved sitting around the grounds of the Georgian houses, and the kids were happy to go in the play area. There's more to see at this park, but we didn't have time.
A great park.
C. K.
Lovely massive green space. Its huge in there. Very clean, car park aswell so thats a bonus and some shady places when the suns out.
S. W.
Lovely big park. The house and grounds are stunning. Lots of sports facilities being built which is wonderful for the local growing community. It has the most beautiful trees and can be enjoyed at any time of the year. Highly recommended
N. F.
Brilliant my son can't wait to start animal management there .. hopefully to become a vet in the near future staff are really friendly
S.
Lovely park for a weekend walk
K. K. (.
Great place, so large and delicious edible to share with others as I did today watching my 1111-a-side team Hillingdon Abbotts FC win a cup game 2-1 after being a goal down. If you saw our second goal, during the sunshine woohoo 🤙🏾🤗🍻👏🏾🙏🏽🤯
H. B.
Apart from being a huge park with a new pavilion & pitches the museum is lovely. There's the huge kitchen with all the kitchen equipment, large ornate rooms (no furniture) and hidden away on the top floor loads of victorian dressing up clothes for kids & adults. All plus a room with toys etc for kids plus old fashion toys on display. And more. Free.
C.
Very beautiful and big park! Good for jogging and walking dogs!
P. W.
Went back after 20 years and has changed a lot, but still a lot of fun
A. K.
Went to play Cricket at Gunnersbury sports club, and went through Gunnersbury park. All sorts of landscape and facilities available that can be expected from a public park.
K. R.
Beautiful gardens and a refuge in the middle of a busy town with major roads all around it. The lakes, the architecture and the nature is wonderful way of winding.
Enjoy it now before it gets over built with the new sports centre and shut off to allow numerous festivals.
S. G.
One of the best parks in London. Some of the walking perimeter paths could do with repair. At the moment parking is free
A. V.
Would be great to have an outdoor gym in such a big and beautiful park.
U. S.
A park with nice water features, some flowers and a small museum as well.
P. N.
Great for going for a run and giving the dog a run around. Lots of activities can be done there too along with a children's playground.
s. a.
Beautiful environment and excellent sport facilities.
a.
Some of the more natural areas are really nice and the park can be quite rugged. However, there are a lot of disused and condemned buildings around the park which are being left to rot. They look rather ugly at time. The park could do with a clear up and tidy up (not of litter but of its ugly parts).
S. C.
Beautiful park and a very cool old restored estate!
D. A.
Beautiful park. Lovely pond, had fun boating and reall nice playground and grounds.
S. D.
Great little area, food good, but service rusty. All sorted out in the end. Worth a visit, close to the studio & shopping centre.
J. S.
Very nice park covering a good amount of ground.. mostly well kept with a nice scenic walk. Can be frustrating when the quickest routes through the park are blocked by events if you plan to use it for your commute.
v. v.
Lovely park to visit.
Very tranquil with lots of nature treasures to explore and appreciate.
M. A.
A fascinating outdoor natural park with a bit of history and glamour to show. It could do with adult exercise equipment for those of us who believe exercise should not be confined to indoor gyms!
R. W.
I have to say even with so much investment this park still seems a bit disconnected. The house looks amazing and has had a throughly full on makeover. Some of the Victorian gardens around the house have also been renovated quite well. But the sports centre right in the middle seems a bit out of place. There were many locations in the park where this could have been placed. Maybe a location more out of view. The parks bonuses from my point of view are the vistas as you walk around you do experience different aspects of a London park. The views toward Brentford on the North West side are very refreshing and do give you a sense of perspective. It would be nice to see a more wholistic planning approach in this park though.
G. C.
Have not been to Gunnersbury Park for about 50 years when my dad played cricket here, and was not disappointed. The old playground I remembered has made way for a modern one, It has been magnificently renovated and there are some nice colourful displays such as the roses. The vegetable garden is worth a look too. The trees are lovely as well.
N. O.
Lovely park. Plenty of car park spaces
F. M.
Nice walk, not too crowded, lots of dogs, and a nice food market where we got some excellent cheeses
K. W.
Once modernised its more beautiful and interesting place than before. Great for everyone- ample space for runners( about 5km if d like to run around the whole park), delicious for coffee lovers and foodies (nice modern bistro with the space to sit outside)ideal for dog walkers (lots of space & bushes to be explore and forage) and superb for walkers just to relax.
n. k.
Lovely place to rest and enjoy
A. M.
This is an Amazing park! I have Been here with bunch of friends where we had a very long walk inside the bushes. The park is very clean and tidy and dogs friendly too. You would love this park if wanna go jogging or running or doing some workouts. I would indeed recommend this park for everyone who wants to get some relief of the busy city.
g. b.
This a great place for running as there is a nice path that goes around the park. There is a great field too and you can kick a ball around or just catch some rays.
There is a playground too for the kids which is good fun. It's dog friendly too. If you explore around the park there are lots of hidden places too. For example there is a wooded area with a small pond as well as a peaceful wildlife area with wild flowers for the bees. For those wishing to study horticulture, there is a college there too which runs classes such as landscaping and basic gardening. Of course you will have to pay a fee.
J. P.
In the summer, Gunnersbury is beautiful but there are usually a lot of people around and there's a big derelict building in the middle which is quite the eyesore. It's worth visiting the park if you've never been and it's good for dogs.
N.
Gunnersbury Park is a open space, mansion and local history museum. The former home and land of a Banker. In addition to being filled with formal gardens and new facilities for recreational activities such ponds, walking, tennis, play football (used by Brentford FC) and other sports. A newly built indoor sporting facility which is due to open shortly. The walk can take you from the West Ealing side of West London towards the A4 towards the Kew Bridge and Chiswick areas. The park encourages dog walking and limits the number of dogs to 4 per handler. The is ample parking at most times of the the day.
G. S.
May go to place for calm and quiet reflection.
G. P.
Has everything you need for a superb family day out. Great café, large play park with smaller one for little ones, huge field, stunning trees, and a boating lake. And that's before you step inside the incredible house. The day flies!
S. B.
We love it here so much. We’ve got two little kids (2 and 3 years) who love it here. If the weather is a bit off then the museum is perfect as it’s just the right size. They love the toy room too. It’s got the right amount of everything. Definitely a firm favourite with us
T. K.
Very nice piece of green land. Recently it's being restored. There's kind of palace , as a museum now. It's just freshly refurbed. Large New coffee shop next to it. Kids and dogs friendly. Lake with some boats for hire. There's a new build sports centre about to open soon, outdoor tenis courts, and big playing fields. And lots of green space with old trees and other plants. Generally great place to spend your spare time for anyone.
R. B.
Lovely park with boating lake, nice café, a fountain, children's play area and good museum. The plan is to get it all done up by 2026 and there are parts in need of renovation. What's been done is great so the future is promising.
P. Y.
This park is a favourite spot to reduce the stress on a weekend. I cherish the time spent there because I feel like it does provide a complete disconnect from the busy and dynamic world due to it's size and the brick walls which make you feel like you're in another world.
E. W.
Missing some good places to eat or bbq area for friends. But it's great place for Sunday walk
k. k.
I had visited the park on a company trip! The park is vast, lot of area to cover with huge vegetations and walking trails. I felt like it's a never ending loop of walking trails. Small pond with water plants, clear walking paths and play area to have some fun.
T. N.
Great place for a walk, picnic, take the kids or walk the dog. In the process of renovation and will be a haven for all by 2018
R. V.
Huge park with a big playground. There`s a big lake in the middle of it that is suitable for fishing (but only with permission). It`s a nice place for walking, dog walking, jogging and other sport activities.
R. H.
Huge park with plenty for the whole family to do, would definitely recommend this park for a day out with the family!
M. S.
Several AstroTurf football pitches and tarmac tennis courts. Loads of grass pitches and a large area for exercising.
Can be very windy, so wrap up well if you are not excerising.
C. A.
Beautiful mini Kew gardens 🌳🦆🦢
N. H.
Love this park. There is the most incredible variety of trees to walk around and the Rothschilds properties. A new cafe was put on a few years ago and the quality of food and coffee is superb. The park is very dog and kid friendly with a pond/little lake with swans and ducks, another with a fountain and also a large play area. A true gem in the suburbs of London.
J. T.
Beautiful park, looked after so well, with fantastic amenities.
O. K.
Nice park with hardly anyone there! Nice little kept secret with football and rugby fields, a nice walking and cycle path, some cool lakes and one of the best kept garden parks ive seen in the area!
V. C.
Amazing place to spend time with kids.
* Playground
* Toilets
* Pedal boat
* Duck pond
* Beautiful Garden
e. w.
Amazing! Great work with renovations of the house and surroundings. Well kept and clean park even though it seems to be quite busy. Perfect place to spend time with kids. There's a huge and well equipped playground near sport's fields and the smaller one on the back of the cafe (great coffee, nice staff, only the ice cream selection was disappointing).
N. A.
Just a wonderful, huge, relaxing park full of surprises, like the Nature Reserve Triangle! A lovely Cafeteria next to a very sweet playing grounds for little children. So many awesome and very very old trees, so many cycling paths, a large ponds with different aquatic birds, wild flowers, a widely diversified faune, blackberries everywhere in Aug./Sept. A place that makes you feel you are in Paradise!!!
N. A.
First time this morning and I love it and noticed a lot of people are also new to the place and looks they are as happy as I feel.Sure more to come especially summer is coming.
I. M.
Lovely park for walking with gra eful restored Lodge, large sports area being redeveloped, and enjoyable ponds and seating. Perfect for walking, jogging or picnics.
D. B.
Best kept secret, obviously not now. Good for dog walking and kids and of course picnics. Plenty of parking.
Z. P.
Nice, big and great for jogging. Captured a beautiful sunrise, worth a visit for any newcomers!
B. C.
What a lovely place! Loved the old mansion there, loved the other buildings including Princess Amelia' s Baths. Beautiful park plus there are two playground for kids so we were both happy. Will definitely go there again.
S. L.
It was a lovely place to visit. Especially as it was a sunny day. There was lots of families there enjoying the place. Lots of dogs too.
The cafe was busy. We just wanted a drink.
I had to walk to the toilet as no room for scooter.
M. D.
Nice and big park near Acton town tube station. It is well kept and worth a visit with your friends or kids on a sunny day 😎
J. F.
Beautiful scenery. If you like period dramas then you could just imagine yourself back in time with Mr D😘. Special place and we were lucky enough to visit on a gorgeous day and spend time there in the sunshine. It is in the heart of London and a perfect place to meet up for a picnic.
m. c. c.
Lovely park. Very big, quiet areas and busy areas. Restaurant (bit pricey for a park). Great for dog walking. Some nice 'nature' areas (i.e. wild flowers).
J. B.
Very good for families and has big free car park. Sport club just opened up in May 2021
L. P.
I love to walk around there is a park not far from the city and very well maintained for a walk or for outside sports
D. M.
Easy to get to, plenty of free parking. Nice 3g football facilities
J. S.
Great place for running or walking the dogs.
R. M.
Beautiful park, great for family days out, lots of places to relax and enjoy nature
C. F.
Such a huge and beautiful park for a walk in the midst of a huge city!
D. R.
Un unexpected joy discovering this lovely London park
M. M.
Fantastic place to go if you like long walks in the fresh air. There is a kids playground near the car park. Parking is free. I think they are building a new Sports Centre at the moment. Don't know when it will open but it might be worth a visit.
M. F.
There is still work to be done to some of the buildings but the park, temple and orangery are beautiful with a few exceptions. The Manor House is beautifully restored but not finished. It lacks the furniture, paintings etc. The small house needs restoration. I did not go to the bathhouse so cannot comment. The rose garden needs general upkeep as do parts of the park particularly the tennis court. The cafeteria is well equipped and very pleasant.
E. B.
Very pleasant. Lovely trees and flowers. Nice and quiet today as it is during the week.
C. C.
❤
J. B.
Massive park with many interesting ruins to look around. The big field is great for flying kites. I'm Looking forward to seeing the result of the renovations that are currently taking place. When these are completed in 2017 we will see boats return to the small pond a new park museum and the restoration of some of the ruins.
D.
Lots of parking, a good children's playground and plenty of paths to walk along. Popular with families, dog walkers, children and for picnics
I. Z.
A very nice place to visit during hot weather. At first I saw the fishing pond corner and wasn't impressed, but one you get to the area with the museum it has very nice ponds and views around.
N. K. C.
Was lovely. I cant wait to explore more and improve my review.
S. F.
Visited on a lovely sunny day! Have not been to Gunnersbury Park for about 50 years when my dad played cricket here, and was not disappointed. The old playground I remembered has made way for a modern one, well maintained. Close to Chiswick High Street, which is great for walking.

Plenty of space, clean and;and inquisitive wildlife!
M. W.
Beautiful aged trees and historic buildings, wild flower meadow, 3 small lakes and big area for sunbathing and picnic. Saw private fishing club as well.
P. E.
Beautiful place to walk hard to believe you are in London.
S. A.
Large park with good facilities
D. W.
Nice little park in west London. They're currently digging half of it up - looks like something to do with drainage, so we didn't manage to get to the Italian gardens I think. The walk was still nice and there's a big loud kids playground.

Just enjoyed my first walk with the dogs in this park. It has a varied terraine which is good. Very pretty with some beautiful buildings with interesting architecture. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go in the cafe as it would have meant tying the dogs up outside. I guess that's for another day when I have someone with me. It looked very clean and well presented from outside.
B. C.
Good kids playground well structured for different ages. Older kids will love the bigger stuff.
Parking is small and hard to find, look for the museum and then take the next left (from south circular) and you will find it. Don't go to museum parking as well signed but disabled only.
Get in and out before rush hour as main road gets bad.
Z. R.
Great local park and tea enjoyed the market that was open that Saturday
K. A.
nice place to ease your stress
M. B.
The entrance/exit road is way too narrow, with cars traveling in and out of the venue simultaneously it is very difficult with no space on either side. For pedestrians trying to walk in/out at the same time it is very dangerous.
S. D.
Very nice park. Plenty of parking space midweek. Other people using the park are generally very friendly.
L. L.
Regular lunchtime walks to break up the day in the office. Big park with long walks. Refurbished cafe has nice selection of food and beverages so can spend the full lunch hour in the park.
s. j.
Large park, bigger play area for kids, lots of space to enjoy a picnic, large ponds, fountain. Good outing
S. P.
Very nice park and garden. Tranquil wisteria gardens. Ponds. Beautiful old white house in the middle. Lots of parkland for running. Easy enough to walk to from the station
j. r.
Lovely unspoilt park. Nice cafe and surroundings.
Y. S.
Lovely ground. Buildings are being restored. Cafe very nice but a tad expensive and very clean. Lots of children's playground equipment. No boats on the boating lake. Lots of places to explore. Free parking.
R. P.
Located in very huge and very well area. Good for kids, adults and elderly people to spending time in clean and natural weather. Food court is also available inside. Very good for newly couple for spending romantic times. I love this place.

House finally restored. Worth a visit as had been closed for far too long. The grounds are nice but the sports centre building is a monstrosity and should have been put on the site of the greenhouses which have been run down for years. Poorly thought out scheme.
D. L.
Nice and open, lots of dog walkers and joggers. Not as well-preened as Hyde park, obviously, but worth the visit.
B. T.
Beautifully designed and maintained. With regular, and good quality arabica for those that enjoy a stroll with a coffee in their hand. That's important after the café burned down...

Gunnersbury Park 2019
The beautiful place
V. B.
I love the new look park, I have been coming here for many years. The only thing wrong is that there are too many dogs off lead wandering around. I also take my dog there but it is kept on lead at all times as dogs can be unpredictable.
A. B.
Another lockdown favourite. A park with a variety of landscape styles. Make sure you enjoy all of them.
A.
Amazing park
G. B.
The Western half of the park is the most boring bit of flat grassland you can imagine, though there are many more trees and a bit more landscape variation in the Eastern half of the park. The Southern pond area is quite otherworldly.
Initially I wasn't impressed by Gunnersbury Park but I very quickly began to love the place and there are many areas where you can stand and forget that you're in the middle of a burgeoning metropolis. A quiet, peaceful place.
K. P.
OK. I'm a bit disappointed as it is the nearest major park to me but somehow it just doesnt seem to do it for me. There is the obligatory house/local borough museum and archives masses of space a recently refurbished cafe but even on sunny afternoon with loads of nice people and in the company of our 2 lovely Labradors it didn't quite do it for me.

Best park around. Go to refresh your zen. massive spaces, beautiful plants and buildings, lots of dogs and water birds. Cyclists tracks, children's playground, little hidden spaces for picnics, little golf club. Well maintained.
K. W.
This park is nature-driven. There's lots of sign posts indicating what you might find.
There a play area for the children; a couple of ponds/lakes
It's dog-friendly and there's a parkrun each week.
M. C.
Was great day planting trees and sorting some chestnut paling out
I. A.
Clean, nice visitors, plenty of fresh air, feels clean good and especially when it snowed it was wonderful, kids used sledge to slide down the steep snow hill.
L. M.
Nice and big, very clean park. It has a nice duck and swan pond and 2 parks for small and larger children. Would definitely visit again.
I. L.
Lovely park! Will go again. Has a good market and I love the pie and sausage rolls!

Visited during the Mela festival. Toilets provided my Mela I imagine. The park is quite big but what i mostly saw was flat land covered in grass. I prefer parks with more trees and other varieties of vegetation. The grass is in excellent condition which indicates good maintenance. The park has various entrances and I noticed that is popular for running (regardless of festivals taking place).
A. L.
Never previously been here, stopped by with the children and was taken back by its gleaming floors and equipment. Always a very positive sign. Will rate it 4star for its cleanliness. But perhaps 3stars for its food sorry. Average chips, wasn't wowed, maybe because I drenched it in vinegar lol and a slightly greasy batter coating hiding a lovely fresh tasting fish but again wow for its spotlessness, made me feel very comfortable buying from here.👍
J. B.
Lovely park, small enough to feel manageable, big enough to stay for a couple of hours
S. M.
Beautiful park in Ealing and Brentford. Lots of play areas for children, lovely free museum in the park, and a market in the park where they also have food stalls.
G. H.
Excellent,Too many loose Dogs but that is the animals' owners failure and not the parks.

A gem of a park, with a fascinating history. There are activities for everyone, with a sporting complex being built as I write this. The museum has some amazing exhibits and the building itself is very intriguing.
U. L.
Lovely open space with various paths, lots of trees, playing fields, lake, children's playground, wildife, etc
A. O.
Filming Pennyworth made it more enjoyable day.
A. J.
Some parts still under construction, but the new café, the beautiful pond and museum definitely upped the looks of my local park. Good for a walk with our without dogs, for running etc
c. s.
Love this park - despite the groundworks going on. So glad the putting green has gone and the area is rewilding. The completed heritage work is tasteful and beautiful. The best thing is the trees - wonderful mature trees.
A. M.
Good large areas for dog walking. A fantastic playground (dog free). Mobile café
S. W. (. A.
Beautiful area, very large and not too busy.
S. W.
Lovely spot. Good walk around the inside perimeter with interesting tidbits throughout.
Look out for events! Could be a bonus/annoyance depending on your preference.
P. B.
This is a fairly large park with a children's playground, football pitches and a pitch and putt course. For those wanting a leisurely walk there we'll laid out pathways and two pond areas to enjoy, although one pond is fenced off preventing access to the waters edge. Within the grounds is a large mansion house which hosts Gunnersbury Museum. At the time of writing the museum is closed for renovation and is due to reopen some time in 2017.
P. A.
Lovely place, well set out, but not over manicured. I liked the wild flower meadow and the tranquility that leafy glades bring. Today was a baking hot day, and I dashed from shade to shade.
D. S.
Great park, really large. Pretty and not too busy. The Par 3 Golf Course is great fun and well looked after or if you are looking for something less strenuous then take a book and sit down in front of the pond.
P. M.
Haven’t been here since all of the recent redevelopment work has been completed. Went there yesterday to help blow the cobwebs away! Still lots of work underway, but the old house has been redeveloped, there is a new cafe which serves decent coffee. A bit of a haven for dog walking and just getting out there!
A. A.
Good nice park to walk around. Have few water ponds with swans and ducks and free parking
I. M.
Currently (late 2016) parts of the Park and the Large Mansion are being renovated. It's a fascinating place to visit though, anytime of the year. The new cafe should be open in the Spring, and hopefully the new Museum by the end of 2017. The park itself is still open as usual.
N. C.
Wonderful gardens, ponds and quiet retreats. Recently renovated listed mansion.
J. S.
Second visit. Last time I think was for the festival of colours about 15 years ago. Nice park, slightly unkempt feel but in a good way. Will go back for more exercise here.
J. W.
Amazing park with buildings and lots of space. Also great for the bike track where you go up and down as u wish
l. k.
Lovely and interesting place to visit.
S. Q.
Perfect for runs, picnics and a cool little bmx off road track for anyone wanting to use it too! Definitely worth a trip around!
K. W.
Such a lovely park! Cafe looks lovely but we came at dusk and not sure it was open. Quick lap round with the dog and children on scooters
D. L.
Good playground with options for all ages of child. Unfortunate that some apparatus doesn't function as intended, but still a worthwhile visit.
E. Y.
Lovely park, lots of space, clean. Had children's play area as well as nature trails
F. S.
We really liked our first day in Gunnersbury Park. The trees and the grass are well looked after but the toilets are so dirty. It's a shame and it looks like nobody ever cleaned them!
We also found that a lot of people are irresponsibly leaving rubbish behind!
S. M.
Great park for walks. Lots of opportunities for the kids to get to know nature better. Has a couple of ladies, and a newly refurbished gunnersbury museum with a lot of local history.
N. B. G.
Amazing park and gorgeous swans there! There is a tiny bar on the side that serves spiced apple juice and it's delicious!
S. W.
It has everything you could wish for...beautiful buildings...wonderful trees...water...great walks..and lots of things for children to enjoy too
S. E.
Huge investment in this fantastic park and mansion. Recently opened new cafe is excellent addition. Looking forward to visiting in the spring when more work to the grounds might be completed.
I. B.
Convenient shopping with ample parking.
N. T.
Nice big open park with asphalt paths, great for walking and especially for running. A lot of dog walkers though so watch your step if you go off-road......
U. C.
Good sized park. Currently being improved. Good paths, ponds, wildlife, grass, benches and a coffee stand.

We've been going to Gunnersbury Park to walk the dog for years and it is a wonderful place - or at least it was and wik be again. There has been huge amount of renovation of the Big Mansion and various other elements in the grounds and these bits are fine. However the rest of the park is a mess. There are big building works for a new sports centre which has taken over a large number of acres of what were the playing fields and the paths are on poor shape and indeed unsafe but nobody sends to care about this. Hopefully it will be finished soon and back again to the wonderful community asset that it once was and as covanented when handed over by the Rothschild.
Avoid visiting when the Park Run is happening unless you don't mind being knocked over in the rush....

Wish there was more public drinking fountains. But a lovely park overall

I think what's great about this place is that so much effort has gone into restoring it and it's a truly magnificent place to go.
There is the old stately home, with it's landscaped gardens, victorian greenhouses and rose garden. Next to it is a huge play area. Next to that is what I would probably label (no doubt incorrectly) as heathland - rolling wild grass with the occasional tree and copse. Then there are full on Woodland areas and a beautiful meadow.
It's stunning, and I love that it has these large interconnected biomes all in one place. It's magnificent in Summer and I really think it's a bit of an undiscovered gem.
There's also a learning area with examples of a pre-roman house, and a ww2 Anderson shelter, and vegetable gardens.
A stunning credit to the team who maintains and has restored it and I highly recommend it.
J. R.
Nice big park for walking the dog. Renovations currently taking place restricting access to some areas.
Once the works have been completed it should be one of the very best parks around.
