Reviews of Holland Park
Y. M.
Wonderful park, good place for a stroll. There are a few small attractions to see. I would say Kyoto gardens is definitely worth a visit. We went on a Sunday and thought it may be very packed but surprisingly there weren't too many people. The peacock living there is not shy! Loves to flaunt!
A. C.
Amazing park with the Kyoto garden and Dutch garden, the great adventure park for the kids and the ecology centre there’s something for everyone. It’s a great outdoor place to walk or sit and have a picnic, also spot a few peacocks and fishes in the pond.
It’s right next to the design museum so the fun can continue next door too as there’s free entry for the family.
R. D.
Beautiful park. Being very close to Hyde Park it almost feels like a hidden gem! Highlights of Holland Park include the Kyoto Gardens and waterfall, the incredible wildlife, the café, some beautiful architecture, and the maze garden. Would recommend Holland park over most of the bigger park in London to be honest.
D. M.
This is really a beautiful place. And the garden is delightful. The coffee shop is good with good vegan options.
g. p.
Quieter and more 'primitive' than regent park. And a lovely Japanese themed garden located in the centre.
R.
Beautiful park to walk around, feel the calm inside the city and enjoy the sun and the animals running around you. A short but peaceful area to release from your stress and have a good time chilling and walking around. Kyoto gardens arebnit that great. Just a little space with different appearance and style.
Y. P.
What a great place to bring your little treasures. My 5 year old loved playing in the sand and making new friends. Plenty to do for bigger children too.... Even adults. Well kept gardens and nature spots.
P. C.
It’s fine, at least the first half of it with the gardens. The rest is a complete wildness. It’s better to go around the park and spot famous people houses
I.
This is a huge park with lots of small gardens inside. It is fully accessible , however not so during rains as it becomes a lot muddy. The kids park area is good. There is a small cafe , kyoto garden , dutch garden , etc. You can spot some peacocks and other birds here. Beware of squirrels as they are not afraid n pounce on you for food. The park needs to be clean and have an accessible path for taking strollers specially as kids love parks.
A. H.
So many different sections of this park to take nice pictures, have a picnic, beautiful scenery and just enjoy the day with family and friends.
So many different wildlife to see too! The famous peacocks that roam around the gardens are tame and are beautiful to see.
The waterfall runs over a small pond with koi fish, it’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL! A good opportunity to take a nice video for memories.
T. B.
Holland Park is a very big lovely green space for relaxing with loads of beautiful gardens for pictures also has different activities for kids too. One of my fav is the kyoto garden, the Japanese inspired beautiful garden with waterfall. Good relaxing space with friends and family. About 9 mins walk from Holland Park Station.
M.
I was very excited to go here, to see the gardens and I was not disappointed! Lovely place and amazing plants to see, perfect for an avid photographer :)
S. T.
Lovely area. Very peaceful and tranquil considering it's in London. I recommend visiting the Kyoto and Fukushima Gardens. Some great geocaches are here too!
T. O. G.
Not bad, but could be better imo - the Kyoto Garden, whilst nice, is overhyped to the point that on busy days you have queues to take pictures on the bridge in front of the waterfall. Yes, I queued like a mug. Elsewhere, some of the grass has been hammered so much there are significant bald patches. Would have given this three stars but the children’s adventure playground elevates it back up to four stars as admittedly it was good for the kids, with toilets right on site next to it.
S. P.
A lovely well looked after park, great for a walk, lots of people walking their dogs. Great exercise area/gym area next to the tennis courts, very good equipment. The adventure playground is really nice! More so for aged 4+ I would say. Gardens are beautiful to walk around and sit in. Lots of nature life to look at. Public toilets available. The only downside is the cafe is very limited with their food choices. But not badly priced hot drinks. The park is right next to the design museum too, if you wanted to do something extra. Shops are on the main road too.
M. B.
Lovely park with gardens, walks , adventure playground and cafe.
D. M.
The most beautiful park in London in my opinion, so happy to have a chance to enjoy it almost every day 🤍🌿 Especially love it in the autumn!
P.S.: Have you seen a peacock?) 🦚
g. I.
A great place to go and just breath if you feel like escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. Some lovely things to see in the park. The car park could be cheaper but I guess that's London for you. I especially enjoyed walking around the Japanese garden.
C. N.
Beautifully maintained gardens and nature trails, bursting with wildlife.
F. W.
Such a lovely park to walk through we went to the Kyoto garden and I was blown away, it’s so clean and up kept I felt so peace full and could sit there all day! Got some amazing photos of the peacocks.
K. K.
Beautiful park and the most exiting thing was to see a peacock there walking freely 🦚
A. L.
The Adventure Playground is amazing. My kids would spend hours there without any complaining going on. Plenty of activities, swings, sand pits, a small trampoline and so many climbing activities for kids. They absolutely loved it. There is a parking straight near the park but I guess is quite pricey. Toilets are available at the entrance but be aware that the ones located bear the playground have stairs. Holland park has some amazing spots to visit. A great day out with plenty of things to do in one place! Have plenty of snacks and drinks with you as it is quite a walk to the nearest shop.
M. H.
Very big park (about 54 acres land) with Kyoto Garden, Fukushima Garden and Dutch Garden. There are parking spaces available. Restaurant and toilet facilities are there too.
B. E.
I came to the park with a Starbucks and a warm cinnamon bun from the Bun shop on Holland park Avenue. At 8.30 am on a Sunday morning there were a few people here but the park had an air of tranquility. Dogs can only be let off leads in certain areas and there were only a few children around. As I left an hour later it was getting busier. There was a cafe open.
G. S.
Hidden gem of a picnic spot ❣️
The Japanese garden is very romantic too and the park hosts a number of peacocks, as well as a charming restaurant in the centre by the botanical garden, which occasionally has live Operatic performances even.
I would personally recommend double checking times beforehand however with regards to the restaurant as it may be booked out for an event.
There's also a cafe in the park and a small number of parking spaces are available; however I'd recommend parking in the Westfield carpark as parking is very challenging around Holland Park and Notting Hill.
There are public toilets on site too if needed, for M/F and baby changing
C. R.
Beautiful, stunning, peaceful. Take your friends, family, or even colleges there on a hot day. You won't regret it. Bring food for a picnic. Bring yourself and relax because this is the right place to be.
V. C. T.
Such an amazing place, so well maintained and with theme parks. Kyoto Gardens is one of the most famous and absolutely beautiful spots. Loved a walk around the lake and the blossom trees are stunning. @kyotogarden
S. H.
Lovely, secluded green space hidden in the West End of London.
Lots to see and do; wildlife, gardens, play and picnic areas.
There is a car park, but unsure of cost.
Street parking was free after 13:30 on the Saturday that we visited.
K. B.
Great central London park with different formal gardens, sports pitches, tree-lined paths, a cafe, and even a peacock!
B. R.
A huge park with really nice scenery, it was a great walk for my friends and I. Definitely a great place for a picnic and super fun to explore. The grass and hedges were exceptionally well kept and it's a great place for a quiet evening!
S. H.
Gorgeous park with a lovely visit at Holland Park. The kyoto garden looks pretty and I like the waterfall it was wonderful. A great place to visit and relax. I do recommend
E. D.
Amazing green space changing beautifully with the seasons! Something for everybody - wild areas, formal gardens and open spaces. Popular with families, walkers, joggers and dog walkers.
H. M.
It was an amazing experience to feed the squirrels. They are so friendly and careful to take the nuts from your hands.
Tip: There's a Tesco nearby (when you leave Holland Park station), so you can buy the nuts there.
A. W.
Stunning kyoto garden.peaceful and tranquil.garden was well maintained.nice to see the peacock wandering about.plenty to see.
O. S.
Another excellent Park located in Kensington and Chelsea.
Holland park is a rather small sized park which is well defined into various areas.
There are manicured garden areas, forest trail areas, sports fields, picnic areas as well as the Holland Park open air concert pavilion where Opera and other musical events are staged regularly.
There are a number of Sculptures and art installations spread around the park.
There is a nice cafeteria area and a number of well maintained toilet facilities too.
There are both tarmac and natural trails to lead you round the park and they are very well sign posted.
There were quite a few very friendly Police and Park enforcement officers to assist visitors.
An excellent location for a stroll with friends and family and a great place for picnics too.
The sports area is used regularly by locals and especially children.
A great example of a local park used mainly by local residents but a nice place to visit for non locals and tourists.
Highly recommended.
a. s.
I mainly went here to visit the kyoto garden which was a delight. However, other than that there is nothing much significant to see in the park. There was also an play area for kids which was quite good.
S. C.
Great for a family day out, a scenic walk, outdoor activities, tourists- very popular especially in summer months.
Enjoy best by going early
Has outdoor chess, restaurants, peacocks, Japanese garden with Coy pond .... small forest area, maze garden and good size play ground as well as a picnic area and substantial green spaces.
Something for everyone but can get too crowded
A. L.
Great to discover this park. Good for gentle short walks. Small but very attractive Japanese garden. Nice cafe.
M. F.
Holland park takes you away from the city busy streets and puts you in the Country side or somewhere in japan with beautiful open fields, wild flowers, pick nick tables and wild peacocks. It's a very beautiful park where you can enjoy a nice walk or morning runs or just sit and relax and observe the beautiful nature around you.
A. B.
Gorgeous park. It was near the hotel where we stayed so we took the chance to visit it. Absolutely amazing and great for children too.
M. G.
Beautiful park with great playground for the kids. The Kyoto garden is tranquil and glorious. The kids lived seeing the peacock roaming wild. We feed the squirrels as well. Great fun
V. K.
My favourite park in London. Very beautiful flower beds, different style gardens, great refurbished kids playground, picnic area. This park has it all: art gallery, open air opera, picturesque Japanese garden, peacocks !!!! Love it. Only one downside is that it can get very busy with people.
J. G.
For a small to medium sized park, it offers a variety of designated areas for various occasions. Whether you're a family looking for a playground for your kids to play, looking for somewhere to have a stroll with your loved one, or even small quite spots to have a read or a chat with friends.
Recommended.

I absolutely love this area! It feels so refreshing, especially during spring warm days!🕊️🌻 My favourite destination is the Japanese garden in Holland Park! It's a very well kept garden and, although busy at times, you will definitely enjoy the experience! Absolutely recommend visiting it! Make sure to stroll around Notting Hill too if you plan a visit there and bring some tote bags with you to fill with fresh market fruit & veggies! 🍎🍏🍌🌽🍄🍅👌🏽
S. M.
We got to the park closer to sunset and as a result it was less crowded than what we had expected. The park was really beautiful and picturesque and had a lot of interesting finds such as the Kyoto garden and the peacocks wandering around the park. Given the proximity to Hyde park, it could get easily missed out but I think it’s unique in its offering and worth a visit.
S. k.
I love it, something for everyone, well managed, full of beautiful flowers, smelling a mazing, outdoor play area, Kyoto garden, caffe shop, wall path's, birds, you must see it. Enjoining Sun playing with colours and sound.
E.
A beautiful park to enjoy.
The park is not very big, but it has many features to visit.
Don't go at weekend or Bank Holiday. It is proper busy and noisy.
K. A.
Very nice park, beautiful garden, nice Coffee shop! Out door gyms! Play area for children, tennis court! Football ground! Dog friendly! Very relaxing!
l. T.
Amazing for families, the photos don't do this place justice. Hence why I took my own, there is rental barclay bikes for £2.00 for the whole day, a huge playground with a zip line, climbing frame, slide ect. An area to feed squirrels and observe peacocks and a small cafe all within a 10 minute walk from the station. Plenty of space to enjoy a picnic too with tables within the playground. Dog friendly.
L. K.
This place is a beautiful gem. It’s such a lovely walk in the shade of the trees in Summer. The smells and colours are beautiful, especially when you get to the Kyoto Garden. I adore the neal lawn and pretty flowers. The Japanese vibe is just so relaxing.
Then my favourite is the rose garden. We stayed for so long because of the beautiful fragrance. Rose is my favourite flower and scent; it was hard to leave.
The colours again were beautiful, so relaxing.
We had some tea and cake, and it was idyllic, a reasonable price and everything was fresh and good quality.
Visit - June 2018

I was very surprised on my visit to Holland Park I was not aware of this beautiful wonderland inside my purpose of the journey was to see the Japanese garden which was well worth the trip I highly recommend visiting put on your to do list
m. P.
Perfect place to relax and have a peaceful time in the center of London. It is extremely 😍beautiful. There are plenty tree species to look at. The squirrels are one of the ultimate attractions, so don't forget to take along some nuts. The koi fish are as big as my forearm lol.
P.s. It is open during the coronavirus. It is still beautiful even when the weather is bad.
G. M.
Love this space. Wonderful trees, walks and gardens so great for picnic lovers and dog walkers.
T. L.
Great Park in the middle of busy London, between Kensington and Nothing Hill. Escape the noise and enjoy the sun, get some coffee from the coffee shop and relax or come along with a friend for a chat. Dog friendly!
L. J.
Holland Park is one of my favourite places near to centre of London. This park is always amazing, clean and beautiful landscape place of Kyoto gardens with a diverse range of habitats for wildlife. Peacocks are moving around in the park freely, ducks and lots of squirrels around too. Great playground for kids, tennis court and football field. Coffee shop with snacks and drink around. Toilets available. Would recommend to carrying some peanuts to feed the squirrels.
S. J.
Absolutely loved the huge space of greenery into which you can just immerse yourself. Pathways, green scapes, benches, designated children's area's and well marked for your ease. Kyoto Garden just notches up an extra point to the Holland Park - Beautiful, Calm and Serene!
T. l. s.
Really fun for kids. You can see fishes and go to an amazing park where kids can play my favourite part is the log swing. There are so many activities to do and it really fun going through a jungle/forest hope you enjoy.😄
L.
The place is quite small but so lovely! I love the Kyoto garden it’s really pretty and really makes me feels likes I am in Japan!
A. V.
Very well maintained park. They have a children's play area which keeps them occupied. Kyoto and Dutch gardens are a nice touch.
M. C.
Spectacular place. Holland Park is truly special, especially with the vivid, dramatic, Autumn colours. I love the Dutch and Kyoto gardens. Fantastic play park for the kids, beautiful, peaceful setting, decent cafe and clean toilets. Not much more you could ask for.
m. D.
Lovely picturesque place... large park with big trees is really blissful. It has a beautiful Japanese garden with a small waterfall and pond full of fish. Along with that a great play area for kids. Overall great place for photography and a peaceful place to enjoy the nature. Watch out for the peacock
m. t.
This is one of my favourite London parks. Not as busy as some of the more well known parks but has many interesting features. It"s also a good walk connecting High Street Kensington to Notting Hill Gate. Popular with locals but not full of tourists. The Kyoto Gardens are a lovely feature.
I.
Really serene and pretty park. Even on a grey winter day
n.
Great park with a more forest feel to it. It is on a hill so it is a nice walk around with a lot of trees. It has a Japanese garden which is definitely worth a visit. I would recommend going to this park, especially for forest walks amongst trees.
R. J.
Beautiful park 🏡 Amazin playground 🎠 Toilets clean 🚻 Cafe has a good variety of food and drinks 🥪☕️ Car park gets quite busy and max stay is 4 hours 🅿️ Dutch Gardens - absolutely gorgeous and the smell is divine when all the flowers start blossoming 🌸
T. R.
This is a good place to rest and relax it has a very picturesque setting with all sorts of activities for any and all family members. There is a play area for younger children and also walking paths for the more curious. Kyoto Garden is really nice with the small pond with all its fish. Really worth a visit.
O. L. M.
A park always worth visiting if you’re nearby. The Japanese garden very nice in every season, while you’ll have to wait till spring/summer for the rose garden. There’s also a huge children playground, which can be crowded on the weekends.
D. R.
Beautiful park, multiple playgrounds and a Japanese garden with peacocks.
S. L.
It's been a whole year since we took a stroll here but I will go back much sooner. It was just lovely and green, not too crowded with people and lovely trees and woodland for our dog to enjoy snuffing. The cafe provided a delicious coffee n cake out stop. The opera was getting started and now I want to book tickets for that. Hurry along, parking, toilets snacks everything you might need
S. B.
One of the most wonderful parks in London. Relatively small, but you have everything here; woods, ornamental gardens, fantastic playgrounds, open fields, small duck pond, Japanese garden, tree-lined avenue, woodland trail, rose garden, orangery, fish, peacocks and the most brazen squirrel population (they will come very close to you). Garden cafe is a bit disappointing, but given that the park is between Notting Hill and High Street Kensington, there are plenty other choices close by. During summer months (between June and August), it hosts open air opera performances in front of Holland House in a temporary structure erected each year to house the performances of the season.
C. T.
Beautiful park with lots to do, beware the half dressed women, there is however a place for children to play.
S. S.
Beautiful nature, wooded areas, playing field, cafe, Japanese garden, walking trail, eco centre, picnic area, best place to be in Holland Park!
R. D. R. R.
Very nice and quiet place, it is one of secret spaces in London that is 100% worth to see. The kyoto gardens are very beautiful. It is full of nice squirrels that will get close to you, hilarious. There is also a great playground for kids.
M. P.
Holland Park is a really nice Park in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is really worth to go for a walk, specially during the lockdown, as it is a beautiful park, and it has a small but cute Japanese garden, the Kyoto Garden (see photos attached).
K. E.
What a wonderful experience. It’s lovely seeing the paths with the greenery. It’s awful to still see that there is still garbage everywhere. I loved seeing the Kyoto garden and the hostel. It was nice exploring the park. The squirrels are very tame and are always wanting food. People shouldn’t feed them.
M.
A picturesque, beautiful and peaceful park. The Kyoto garden in particular is impressive. Well maintained. There are even peacocks wandering around. It's not a big park but very nice for a stroll.
Great place to hang out both with and without children. Peaceful, clean and quite park located in Chelsea and Kensington borough. This park has, coffee shop, small museum and toddlers play ground. Very lovely wild-like park, extremely enjoyable to walk around. One can bring the dogs along, there is even a special place designated for them. The Kyoto park is the most attractive zone inside this park. It's a Japanese garden with a small waterfall and pond full of fish. Lovely picturesque place. The largest sandpit in Chelsea, Lovely place with a nice shady area for parents and enormous amount of sand for kids.
Parking is a bit of a problem since there are limited spaces outside the park.
Nearest tube stations are Holland park, National rail is Kensington Olympia.
E. L.
A beautiful park with a lovely visit from a 🦚 peacock.
The kycto Garden with the waterfall looks very pretty and interesting
J. D. -. M. G.
Been spending much more time in Holland Park during the lockdown as it’s my local park and handy for walking and exercise!
Beautiful park, large and well laid out with nice areas to walk as well as playing fields.
Great green space with a fabulous Japanese garden with peacocks!
H. H.
Lots of open spaces to walk and explore. Garden centre. Playgrounds. Outdoor gym. Cafe. Lots of asphalt Tennis courts, cricket pitch with astro wicket. Nets cage no stumps.
M. م.
Lovely park with a stunning Japanese garden. The waterfall with the fish pond and freely roaming peacocks together make a space that captures the natural beauties of nature. The friendly squirrels are sure to keep you company and entertained with their cheekiness they will happily eat from your hand if you got nuts to offer. We also had the chance to feed the peacocks peanuts offered by their keeper who was doing a great job keeling them safe and answering any visitors questions. All in all s fab day out ;)
B. B.
It was a lovely park with tons of trees. There was a large sand pit for children to play in. It felt rather safe and our son had loads of fun. That being said they do close at sunset which was a bit disappointing. We all had to be rushed out at the park. Other than that it’s a good park and I definitely recommend.
A. M.
Beautiful park. My third time here. This time with my cousins and their wives to do picnic with the kids.
Weather was so beautiful and we had some sun for the whole day after a month long cloudy-gloomy and rainy days.
It was really great getting out after a while and spending some quality times with my cousins.
Japanese Kyoto Garden is one of the main attractions that we lived being there and taking a lot of pictures. The scenery and the surrounding the small fountain was breathtaking!
There were Peacocks roaming around and also fish swimming in the makeshift pond.
If you are planning to spend the day in Holland Park, go on a sunny bright and a beautiful day.
The park is massive and a short walk from Holland Park Tube station.
S. P.
Lovely park, very well maintained but preserves it's wild nature
N. R.
Beautiful park with something for everyone. Plenty of paths to take in the manicured gardens and beautiful structures. A delight worth visiting.
J. T. C.
Lovely wooded walks, easy to social distance. The tulips were beautiful in late April-early May. The flowers and birds are a nice respite from the busyness of the city. There is a stunning Japanese garden.
D.
Attractive park with sports facilities, summer concerts, the Design Museum, restaurants and a Japanese Garden. Great place to relax.
A. P.
Visited Holland Park twice. I was very impressed by the Kyoto Garden and it's picturesque features. It's a perfect place to go on a Spring/Summer's day. Not too crowded either (Like other parks) and a peaceful place to enjoy the Nature and scenery.
Great place for photography :)
Also, the design museum is very close to it. Would recommend anyone to visit here.
M. R. H. R.
This is an amazing park where you can see flowers, mini fountain, fishes etc. You can see peacock as well. I was lucky because the peacock opened the beautiful feathers that time. Have a look on my uploaded pictures. Kids can play and enjoy their day. I think summer is the best time to visit.
Highly recommended 👌👌👌
M. A.
Really lovely park with beautiful gardens and wild animals around. Fell in love with Kyoto gardens and would probably go again. Also go here if you wanna be in a photography student's pictures. Damn there is a lot
M. M.
Holland park also known as Kyoto gardens was really picturesque. There are beautiful peacocks strolling around. There is a small waterfall and fishes in the pond at the centre. Squirrels are really friendly and love a few nuts/dates. The park has it's own parking however on Sundays the parking on the main road is free. The garden is beautiful! A little treasure hidden in Earl's court 🦚🦜🌳🌴🌾🍀⚘
m.
A lovely park in Kensington that a little bit off the tourist trail. It's a very large park with plenty of green space, paved walkways and even some very rustic walking paths that makes you feel like you're out in the countryside.
Inside the part is a sports field and the Kyoto Gardens inside the park is a must-do. The Kyoto gardens was constructed as part of the 1991 Japanese Festival and is a match for any Japanese garden in Japan,
A lovely for a walk for an hour or two
M. S. S.
Even though the entrance seems like a forest it gets better as you walk in. Inside there are beautiful gardens.
The main attraction is Kyoto Garden, where you can find a pond with hundreds of little fishes, a few dozens of koi fish, a nice waterfall, few gorgeous and colourful peacocks, a 20-30 year old Bonsai Tree, a Japanese fountain and every thing comes together because it was created based on a Japanese environment scenario.
Plus, there are 2 playgrounds for kids to enjoy. The big one covers a massive amount of area and it recently opened so it looks really nice. The playground has some elements that you cannot find in any other place in London.
A. A.
One of the best places in London, definitely you will love it ❤️❤️❤️
A. H.
This is a nice park, however it is common to find same things in different parks! I like the peacocks 🦚 and the fish was SPECTACULAR! I would like it to have activities u could do and scenery to look out! Otherwise, it is a AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! 👌👌☆☆ ( Basically just saying how lovely it it)
V. V.
I admired this place during spring time a couple of times - and my plan is to see it's beauty in summer and autumn time! That must be absolutely beautiful ❤️ located in one of the teachers districts of London, it gives you an absolutely peaceful atmosphere just straight after you enter it. Great for families with kids, couples, for picnic, reading a fave book or just relax on a bench
l. c.
I love this place I have been going since I was a kid !!! The band in the summer and picnic and drinks great little gardens and play areas for the children always a great place to go
J. W.
Free park with plenty of seating areas and pedestrian pathways. Japanese garden was pleasant and there are numerous sculptures across the park.
E. N.
A place where you can relax and forget about any problems.....so beautiful...recommended

One of the best parks in London for a kids day out. Lots of variety too spread over the a large wooded area, a good illusion to make you feel you are not in the middle of a city. The Japanese Kyoto park houses peacocks, Crane, and lots of fish. The kids adventure park has lots of activities to keep children busy for a couple of hours. The Dutch gardens and terraced area are well designed with even a giant chessboard you can actually play with. The park is also abound with friendly squirrels who will eat right out of your hand, so make sure you bring nuts along.
S. S.
Absolutely beautiful park! It's huge! And there are so many things to do, have a picnic, meditate in the peaceful Kyoto garden, or just have a lovely walk! So many squirrels roaming around that aren't scared of humans at all! The adventure playgrounds will stop your children's bordem. And at every corner there is something to do!
#. R. A. E.
It is very dense park created as a forest lots of green trees, grass and flower beds and lovely paintings and a cafe in the centre of park where you can get something to eat and drink. Free Restrooms are also provided in the park.
A. A. H.
Lovely park, has a peacock, amazing pond and huge fish! Really good for animal lovers and a nice relaxing walk/ sit on the bench. This park is where I knew I'm a disney princess because even though I've had birds stand on me for no reason before, it was my first time having a butterfly land on me, so really its magical 😍
L. O.
One of my favourite places in London, Holland Park is always serene and beautiful. The formal walled gardens are like those you'd find at a stately home and the Kyoto Japanese garden is beautiful. I love the free roaming peacocks and the koi carp in the Kyoto garden. The park facilities are good and well maintained and there's a diverse range of habitats for wildlife.
T. M.
Lovely park with a lot of space to walk, Japanese gardens, an area for operatic performances & many sculptures dotted around the park. Big playground for children & many entrances for easy access. Not so dog friendly as other parks, many areas dogs have to be on their lead.
A. S.
Nice park and woodland in West London.
There are 2 playgrounds, one for under fives and one for older ones. Toilet is well maintained. Kyoto garden is very nice. Lots of fish, big and small. There are peacocks.
There are sports facilities such as tennis courts and golf practice nets.
M. L.
Love this park, always beautiful with seasonal flowers, peacocks were roaming free this time, you wouldn't believe they can climb trees unless you saw it!
Also nice that, the place being popular, there's always people but it's not crowded at all, so it feels safe to walk there even on your own.
Kyoto gardens visit is a must.
A. C.
Variety in a rather small park: a little pond with fish, a mini cascade and a mini forest and free roaming peacocks. It's worth visiting, great for pictures.
M. D.
Best time to visit is March/April. Dutch garden (more like a patch ) is small but pretty, expect 2 peacocks . My favourite bit was the Kyoto garden which i think is done perfectly , exactly like Japan. Yes there will be a lot of people trying to get near the waterfall. But it's London ; everywhere is crowded really. So try and get there early to avoid big crowds
I. O.
Small and cute intimate park. Used to live around here and I decided to re-visit after a long time. It was nice to be there. There are some benches and seats for sitting and eating your lunches. 😊
C. M.
Beautiful park with variety of different areas
H. I.
Beautiful and tranquil setting in the Japanese Garden in Holland Park. Amazing design and beautiful 🦚, waterfall and Japanese trees and plants. A peaceful setting for an afternoon of contemplation and meditation.
Y. T.
This is one of the most beautiful parks in Central London! The Kyoto Garden is stunning, embrace the moment! This park has a variety of areas to sit down to enjoy the day along with fun activities including a large chess board! Keep an eye out for the striking Peacock!
M. C.
It is a small park in the the center of west London. There is a hug rhododendron macrophyllum tree, an imitated Japanese garden and an astonishing peacock who loves and knows how to show his beauty at any degree without blind spots.
J. L.
Nice place, but not quite. A lot of kids around making noise. Anyway I love squirrels and you can meet them there.
a. O.
A truly outstanding park in West London. You really do need to pay a visit to its small rose garden and it's magnificent Dutch Garden. They have such a lovely colourful display of flowers. The Team of Royal Parks gardener's are to be commended for the brilliant work here.
Which is visually stunning in the geometric layout.
S. D.
A well maintained park with lots of different areas. English and Japanese Gardens, sports fields, tennis and cricket as well as a cafe and toilet facilities.
Popular with locals and tourists.
S. S.
Wonderful garden. A lot of people going to stay there or to run to read or just to relax
A. J.
It is such a nice park!! It is not as big as regent park and Hyde park, but those are big because of large green land. But Holland Park is full of gardens with beautiful flowers and trees, and a unique Japanese garden! Oh and so many wild lives, one Peacock! It’s def worth a visit!
C. M.
Walking in Holland park you walk in the nature, wildlife, ponds, waterfall, playground and café, all you need for your recreation.
J. W.
Just cannot resist sharing these pictures. The most interesting part of Holland Park is the Japanese-style Kyoto Garden...koi carp, waterfall, beautiful pond, peacocks, cherry tree, roses...A lovely stroll after a whole day work. Highly recommended.
T. T.
A wonderful dense park with trails that lead through dense fauna and towering trees. Amongst the facilities that cater to families there are also well manicured gardens and water features in the park.
A. D.
Beautiful place. More like a garden in some placeses and a bit of woods in others. Went to visit on my own but have seen some nice playgrounds there. I will be back with my son one day.
S. J.
Fascinating park. Unusual for the amount of woodland, in places you would have no idea you where in London. Lots to do with tennis courts, grass areas for playing football etc, adventure playground, Japanese gardens, cafes etc. A little gem of a park
v. k.
Very beautiful dutch garden with different types of tulips.lot of benches to sit and relax
K. A. S.
Amazing Park, You have to visit Kyoto garden
A. A.
One of the best parks I have ever visited.
The park covers about 22 hectares (54 acres), with a northern half of semi-wild woodland, central section of formal garden areas, and southernmost section used for sport.
It contains a café, as well as the Belvedere Restaurant that is attached to the orangery, a giant chess set,a cricket pitch, tennis courts, two Japanese gardens - the Kyoto Garden and Fukushima Memorial Garden, a youth hostel, a children's playground, squirrels and peacocks.
The Holland Park Ecology Centre, operated by the borough's Ecology Service, offers environmental education programs including nature walks, talks, programs for schools and outdoor activity programs for children.
To the immediate south of the park is the former site of the Commonwealth Institute, now home to the Design Museum.
E. T.
Always great place! May get a bit crowded during weekends, but beautiful place! ❤️
A. D.
One of my favourite parks I. West London, Holland Park is a real gem. From a Japanese inspired garden, to a giant chessboard, there is more than you would expect to discover in such unique park. Don’t forget to spot free peacocks flying around the gardens! There is a coffee place and a restaurant inside the park. Tennis courts and a picnic area. Plus, a direct entrance to the Design museum, on High Street Kensington road, south entrance of the park.
M. P.
Stylish, beautiful, historic & quirky. A green gem mix of lovely gardens especially of course the Kyoto Garden & Orangery
Y. T. R.
Nice and clean park ,enjoyed with family nice pounds,peacocks..
Toilets were clean too ..
A. B.
This park isn't just beautiful but so amazing and calm. I've never seen so many cute squirrel that approach to you to be feeded. One did even climb on me with his little cute feet. We've been to the kyoto garden as well which is very beautiful but small. To me I would always come back to visit this nice park
a. c.
My visit was in the middle of December, when the orange/Yellow leaves are on the ground . The garden itself has some Internal gardens . one of them is Kyoto. dont miss it. you can find there many people walking with their dogs. The place includes some pathes that turn to mud due to the rains and it gives the park more interesting look.
O. B.
Great park, but gets very crowded on weekends. Especially around the Kyoto garden, families with children are queueing to see the peacocks, and as mentioned by many reviews before, the bridge is causing a traffic jam. We even saw a kid falling into the fish pond, going completely under. Staff is very friendly and tries to entertain kids by feeding the peacocks and squirrels in front of the crowd.
E. N.
~Escape the concrete jungle by, entering the green ocean~
It's a great place to relax, meetup and get some fresh air! (^_-)
There is certainly a lot to see like the gardens there but, also in terms of history (if you're interested)
It can get crowded on holidays and weekends.
N. '.
Such a nice place for kids and family. Can spend whole day without getting bored.
P. P.
Nice park but I went there for the tulips and they weren't any. And also they took out the irises flower now and they fixing that place so no flowers. But still very nice for a walk with kids, dog or alone. There is a cafe you can rest and eat or drink something.
B. T.
Peaceful, clean and quite park located in Chelsea and Kensington borough.
This park has, coffee shop, tiny museum( not always open and small art gallery) children play ground,(currently under construction), children sand pit play ground, very big football and cricket play ground, very big picnic and sun basing, colourful flower garden close to the cafe, giant garden chase play ground, the famous Kyoto garden ( Japanese inspired garden with lots of Japanese plants and touches), very big woodland walking and jogging area, eco garden, with small hall to rent for children birthdays and more.
I live10min walk to this park and it’s a blessing for us to go there and connect with nature with out being disturbed.
M. T. I.
This park is amazing. It has a trail where runners can use easily. There are also so many different parts to the park, you would be spoilt for choice. It has a cafe, a youth hostel, toddler playground, adventure playground, Japanese garden, Dutch garden, large chess piece, car park and so much more. There are so many areas a family could have a picnic and really enjoy nature. Will definitely be going back again. One thing I found moving was that there were a lot of park benches in memory of loved ones.
M. I.
Been a long time since I came but this park is still fantastic. New Kyoto garden installation and was very impressive.
Worth coming for this or to relax in the flat greens.
Kids area if you need that too. Friendly park wardens who can give directions.
Relatively large park with not too much crowding
Z. B.
Love this park. There's a lot to do and see here. Kyoto Gardens is definitely a must see. Even in gloomy London weather this is still a nice park to visit. Also a really great place to bring your dogs for a run. Have a picnic. Play football. Adventure playground, the list goes on. It's also near The Design Museums so if check that out too.
G. H.
A peaceful, recharging must-see in London. Absolutely go to the Kyoto Gardens and stroll around the ponds and big chess board. The park offers a lovely picnic opportunity that shouldn't be missed. Go off and enjoy statues, peacocks, ponds, geese, and café :)
R. B. H.
LOCATION : Holland Park district next to the Kensington. The main entrance from Kensington High Street, next to the Design Museum.
Free entrance and good for all ages. Wheelchair accessible.
Nice and beautiful park and garden
The Royal Borough’s largest park with 22.5 hectares of gardens, children’s play facilities, sports areas, a cafeteria and large areas of woodland abundant with wildlife.
Contained within the park is the beautiful Kyoto Garden; a Japanese garden donated by the Chamber of Commerce of Kyoto in 1991.
Holland Park provides facilities for tennis, football, golf practice nets, cricket practice nets and net balls.
S. H.
Beautiful park and gardens, walking space with playing fields. Nice outdoor space for the kids and Cafe for coffee for the adults (plus snacks and drinks). Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
M. T.
Very busy at reception, long queues to get checked in. Assumed it was staff shortages so no complaints from me. Room was adequate, bed ok. Fridge was very useful and shower was great. Useful sockets near mirrors for a change. Good choices for breakfast. Room decor was a bit tired and I could hear tube trains constantly but wasn't too loud and didn't stop me sleeping. Air con was good too.
N. P.
Such a beautiful park with different gardens within, the Kyoto garden is especially beautiful. Stunning landscape design with coy carps, and even a heron watching over the pond! The park is also home to peacocks which we saw two about the Kyoto garden.
A cafe within the park open and also toilets for public use.
T. B.
This park is amazing with wildlife + waterfalls. Great place for a picnic.
L.
I love that London has so many parks you can escape to! Holland Park is smaller but offers such serenity! I got at 4 pm, the birds are already trying to nest for the night so it was just a bird sing along throughout my walk! The real tweet!
S. M.
Lovely park, two beautiful gardens, Japanese and Dutch gardens, and the adventure play area is great for active kids.
D. R.
Such a beautiful place to be. Everytime am here i just turns my mood on
R. K.
Beautiful, peaceful and quiet. You can easily get around the park and experience all the sceneries the park has to offer. There is a restaurant, public toilets and many seating areas. A must see is the Kyoto gardens with the peakocks roaming around. Get off at Holland park and there are many cafes, where you can grab something to eat while you enjoy the park.
e. o.
Beautiful park, very busy, but it still is possible to find a quiet spot to contemplate
s. s.
Not so great as tourist spot. If you have been to place near the park. Do visit. Kyoto garden is small but beautiful. The park is maintained nicely.
A. F.
Great park with many different sceneries, going from wood to nice botanic garden. The highlight of the park is Kyoto garden which is one of the must see places if you are in the area. It is Japanese style garden with small waterfall and fairytale-like landscape.
N. S.
Nice place for day out. Would recommend visiting the beautiful Kyoto Gardens where we found some tame squirrels and wandering peacocks too :)
M. N.
Gorgeous enclosed park. Amazing decor all over. Free, but not too large which means it does get quite busy. Full of exotic plants and birds. Don't miss the Japanese garden!
J. N.
I love this place! Cannot recommend it enough! Dog allowed didn't see any nay sign that said they must be on lead but in the park they usually are IF they are behaved. Great for kids! Lots of space for ball games and sun bathing. Lovely koyoto garden with peacocks and ducks.
A. W.
Most reviews are about how large, beautiful and peaceful this park is, which is true! However, not many mention the numerous sculptures found here. I have posted a number of photos of the art, so do check them out!
R. K.
Strongly recommended. It is not too big but big enough. Walk, picnic, have a rest, find animals e.g. squirrel and peacock and enjoy beautiful blossoms.
E. W.
Nice park for kids and adults as well. There are lots of playgrounds for kids of all ages and a nature centre. There's a rose garden and a gallery. Spent a nice, relaxing afternoon here looking for peacocks.
A. N.
Great park with confident squirrels. Park is left to do it's own thing naturally with little human maintenance, which I think it best. Definitely see the Kyoto garden in it as that is quite tranquil
K. J. (.
A beautiful park, tucked away in the hustle and bustle of London life. Roaming with beautiful peacocks beautiful small forest walk ways and a gorgeous Japanese Garden, if you need a small touch of nature , Holland park will give you that and more. The park nicely links Holland Park, Notting Hill and High Street Kensington. A beautiful secret garden waiting to be explored.
L. G.
Beautiful park with a variety of landscapes in a small area. Peacocks add a lot of colour and the flowers are amazing
r. j. r.
Beautiful space full of variety. Ideal for
families. Play areas. Formal and 'wild' areas.
Expertly maintained, as with all the London
Parks. Easy access. Cafes and toilets.
S. S.
Beautiful garden with restaurant, cafe, playground and hostel inside. There is also a small Japanese oasis named Kyoto Garden.
A little tip for you: bring your boots, when it rains it gets muddy!
H.

Holland Park is a gorgeous green space perfect to relax, doing sport, read a good book or enjoying of a good coffee.
It remains open during the covid situation however toilets are close.
F. Z.
Great place to be with kids! Beautiful gardens, with all the amenities as restaurants and toilets. The kids area is large with different sites to different ages. The kids loved it a lot.
D. S.
Fairytale place, best for wedding photoshoots, real peakocks freely roaming around, garden is simply stunning. I can proudly state that tjis park is one of mostly beautiful ones in London
A. A.
A beautiful park in central London nice place to relax, go for a walk or even a game of footie
J. H.
Everything a park should be with wild areas to formal gardens and a Japanese garden. The roaming peacocks are great. If you live in the area and have kids the adventure playground is amazing.
K. M.
Gorgeous park to spend time in,such a lush and pretty park, its a huge park with a long history plus has many different sppts to relax in like the different gardens, kyoto garden and Fukushima garden are amazing
K. a.
Dear Hikers, lots of tracks, one side life is running ( Westfield walking distance) and other side mother nature is flourishing. Your best hiking partner will be " The squirrels". Unlike others they will run with you and would love their share of nuts
M. S.
park a little different from the others! despite the many people you can really find peace, surrounded by colorful flowers and decennial trees! inside beautiful Japanese park. many varieties of birds! many squirrels and the presence of at least two peacocks that light up your eyes with the opening of their feathers!
S. H.
Hardly any signage anywhere. Ok if you're a local but otherwise you'd struggle to find a specific place. We wanted to see the Kyoto gdn but after what felt like ages, we gave up. Cafe did a good cup of coffee.
B. B.
Beautiful sunny afternoon in Holland Park. Many visitors quietly going about their day
K. K.
The opera house was under construction. The cafe could deliver better services. There was a loud bunch of newly graduates doing their typically unpleasant stuff.
Nevertheless if you are lucky to skip all of abov, the Holland park is like a Neverland! You just cross the gate and it takes you into a different world.
D. C.
Lovely place to spend a couple of hours in, perfect for relaxation. Kyoto garden is quite popular and tends to be crowded, since it's a nice place to take pictures in.
M. J.
Great park for a stroll and picnic, beautiful views and grounds, historical building, great outdoor spaces, nice forest walk.
j.
Great to come with kids, have many activities within the park, eg Japanese garden, adventure playground for kids etc etc
R.
One of the most unique parks in London containing a Japanese style garden as well as an orangery. It's also home to peacocks which can be found around the park!
P. C.
You cannot find a better park than this one in London :)
D. B.
Definately worth a walk round, Koyto Garden and Dutch Gardens were goregous but based in centre of park. Take a picnic as plenty of grass and shade to sit on and peaceful enough.
F. C.
The most beautiful park around earls court. Exercising áreas, big open field, japanese gardens, coffee shop, benches. Amazing place to be with family, alone or friends.
J. H.
There are some renovations at the moment in Holland park but it would not disturb you visit. Children's play grounds are fantastic. Gardens well mantaine. Good for walks or picnic.
A. d. A.
Beautiful park and a nice place to walk around and absorb the nature. Many different interesting gardens and experiences. The walk between each space is under beautiful trees. Sometimes you might spot a peacock. There is also a playground for the kids.
R. K.
The most beautiful park in London!! Peacock's are amazing! Lot's of Japanese fish!
N. G.
A perfect place, whether you want a quiet day to meditate, a fun day of photography or a beautiful family day. Holland Park is the place to go to enjoy different sides of life!
B. N.
The best park to go and relax with nature!! The park is separated in different sections, my favourite the Japanese garden!! Recommended 100%
E. A.
Lots of footpaths to lose oneself in woods and meadows without feeling like you are in the heart of a major city
C. G.
A definite must, if coming to London! And go to Mimino Restaurant too! Located just outside the park. Great people, great food, excellent shopping and a totally environmentally conscious supply of stores and food. Well worth the visit.
P. C.
My favourite park in London. Plenty of photo opportunities. Great place to unwind and chill. Very centrally located. The Kyoto gardens are a treat to the senses.
k. a.
Beautiful, calming park, full of wildlife (peacocks, squirrels and even a parrot!), the Kyoto garden is tranquil and the Dutch garden is pretty and formal, there is a kids play area and cafe and restaurant
H. M.
I love this hotel. The breakfast has alot to offer. The design of the hotel is creative and I like the triple beds where you can close the curtains. And you also have your own light and plugin for the phone. And this all is in Holland Park and the air is fresh and you don't hear cars when you sleep.
S.
It's a forest + a zen garden + orangerie + summer open-air opera. And small little gardens to hide in. Perfect for meditation and running as there is plenty of areas in the shade. One of the best parks in London. And the best selection of flowers! And you might even bump into the odd VIP who has her/his mansion nearby. If you're into these things ;-)
G. M.
Fantastic park where you have many gardens, hostel, cafe shop, sport center. Love to know this incredible place. So peaceful.
A. Z.
Has a lovely Japanese garden, Dutch Garden, even peackocks roaming around. You can hire out tennis courts too. Really nice quaint park hidden away from busier Hyde Park
M. P.
Beautiful Park with wooded área. There is a Japanese garden and a Dutch on
A. M.
My boys and I, always have an amazing day, walking up down and around Holland Park, so relaxing, with adventure park for older children and small playground for youngster one, tennis court, football pitch, kyoto with fishpond, exercise area, theatre and café, beautiful gardens and lovely flowers too. Nearest station Holland Park 5 minutes walk and less than 10 minutes from High Street kensington. x
L. S.
One of the best parks close to Kensington, small but not too small, buildings, Cafe probably a good place to relax and to take some pictures. Sometimes you meet a parrot here.
M.
Neighbourhood of Eddie & Patsy. Love this area. Quiet tranquil just an absolute heaven to be in. Don’t expect late night parties here. One pub I saw closed early. A good area for family life
D. K.
Beautiful park to get some peace and quiet. Must visit the rose garden!
s.
A beutifull alternative to the near Hyde Park and a bit different from the other parks. It takes its name from Lord Holland and it is especially beautifull during rain when it smells like a wild forest mixed with exotic flowers.
C. O.
Huge park and historic gardens in the heart of London (situated at the end of High Street Kensington). Great place for kids and picnics. Dogs allowed. Open spaces, adventure playground, toilets and tea room, outside gym stations, historic gardens, peaceful Japanese garden (with peacocks and Koi Carp), wildlife area. Easy to spend the whole day there as there's plenty to do!
M. D.
Great little park in a lovely area of London. The Kyoto garden part is especially good with the Koi carp and peacocks.
N. A.
I love this Park. It has a nice cafe. Playground for toddlers. And beautiful design of gardens like the Kyoto Garden. You can fine peacocks over there.
S. v. B. v.
That's a amazing park at the heart of the city centre of London. There's a historical castle and kyto Japon Garden. İt's very crowded at the weekends specially on good weather. Big green yards and nice walking paths. You can rich that place via Central Line at the Holland park station.
A. P.
Really beautiful park with small areas dedicated to specific themes (example Kyoto Gardens). This park feels more natural than other parks in central London
S. S.
Very nice place to walk and relax.
M. P. S.
It is a really beautiful and small place, where you can enjoy a peaceful morning or afternoon with friends. The landscapes are really beautiful and all the animals there as well, specially fishes (karpas or koi) and peacock.
K. C.
Really love this park. It's not very big, but have everything. The most important thing is they have a little Japanese garden inside. Small but beautiful. Especially during the spring and summer, every month have different kind of flowers blooming. Once you have walk in, you will fall in love with the place.
O. N.
Beautiful park! Pick up your picnic blanket or stop by a cafe! Either way you enjoy the flora around!
M. W.
Beautiful and peaceful park. We specifically visited the Kyoto garden which has a stunning waterfall and coi carp pond woth a bridge
B. T.
Such a lovely park and beautiful with coy fish, peacocks and a lovely little waterfall
A. K.
A charming place, with beautifully laid out, themed gardens. And then the many peacocks elevate it to a higher level altogether! Though January it was real zen...👌
L. W.
Great small park with different themed gardens. Peacocks, koi carp and squirrels all to be seen in the park. Well kept gardens a nice place to stroll.
s. i.
Very nice clean and well maintained. Highly recommend one of the best parks in London.
K. S.
Beautiful park, good parking facilities, many serene gardens to enjoy and peacocks to admire. Never too busy and always a nice day out.
G. W. t. W.
London is full of beautiful parks and green areas. Holland Park is one of my favourite places for walking and chilling out.
A. U.
Very good environment especially if you have kids
S. S.
One of the best parks in London with lovely posh areas around it
A. A.
What a beautiful place to spend a great day in nature. I think I'm visiting at leat once a year, but I'm still very much in love with its beauty.
E. M. M.
It is very nice to spend a family picnic
R. D.
Great place to hang around for family. Have huge spaces to play. Peacocks running around and a beautiful rose garden.
i.
The quite part of the parks area and possible the best part. Great place for tea if you are a tourist who wanna be a bit English
Z. M.
Beautiful colours and smells of the flowers in bloom. We'll maintained and a visual paradise. Especially with the peacocks roaming around freely. On a warm day I have to admit it feels pretty small as it's very popular with everyone having the same ideas. Even the Kyoto Gardens were closed off to the public by police officers. They have a spectacular Dutch garden, That smell amazing !! The Orangery is also beautiful to walk along.
a.
Nice place for a walk with the best gardens with seasonal flowers. MUST VISITED place for people who love nature 🌄
A. W.
I love Holland Park it’s absolutely beautiful and most importantly 🐶Dog friendly
In the summer evenings there is opera which isn’t my kind of thing
It’s very clean and extremely safe
M. L. S.
Lovely park where you can feed the squirrels, peacocks, enjoy the Kyoto garden or the rest of the flowers.
J. R.
A lovely park which I did not know was here. Lots of paths through wooded and open areas together with some managed planting. A great place to chill out. There is also a cafe / restaurant and the end of the park near the Design Museum.
莎.
A lovely garden with rustic and exotic charm. Its so surreal and fascinating experience for me to spend a hour with the peacocks.
H.
Was surprised how close this park was ,the park itself was really nice not much to see apart from a few Area’s especially the Kyoto Garden that was nice and also got the chance to feed the peacocks .
M. K.
Absolutely great place to relax a bit in between business meetings or a shopping. Birds and trees are naturally helpful indeed.
D. D.
Reccomend the Opera and the Japanese Park. Beautiful place. If you are leaving late make sure to have a torch on your phone as it gets dark.
A. V.
Nice place, except for the Kyoto garden. There is a lot of rabbish, something white, mostly located near the tiny lake. At first sight we thought was the floor!
J. W.
Amazing variety of attractions, with the Kyoto Gardens a particular highlight! The peacocks are extremely tame and seem to pose for photo opportunities!
C.
The Kyoto garden is so picturesque. There are usually alot of people trying to take pictures by the waterfall. Take care to wear your mask as it tends to get really crowded.
O. G.
Go check out Kyoto Gardens. Nice big park with tennis courts and sport facilities. I didn't get a chance to explore the whole park, spent most of my time in Kyoto gardens. Plenty of birds, peacocks, statues and gardens. Definately worth a visit.
P. L.
Really nice park. Not too big, but peaceful and beautiful
a. s.
Lovely for a walk or to cut through to get to embassies or other locations around. Amazing to see chubby squirrels around😅
J. B. L.
Very nice London Park, especially Kyoto Gardens, a Japanese inspired mini garden of tranquility. The park is nice at any time of year, be it spring or winter. It is varied, with paths through wooded areas as well as open ones. If you are interested you can even book a tennis court and hire a trainer. There is a nice coffee shop here too.
C. C.
Wonderful place to visit at any time of the year.
A.
Beautiful Big garden with huge walking area ...with nature of Beauti
J.
Holland Park is a must visit in London. It is much quieter and less heard of than Hyde or St James. It is full of wildlife with peacocks, herons, koi and many different varieties of bird.
Kyoto garden within Holland park is a beautiful symbol of the relationship and history with Japan.
T. M.
Beautiful park with a lot going on from forest like paths to music concerts, adventure playgrounds for kids, Japanese garden with resident birds and fish, spacious coffee shop, art, playing field, rose garden and picnic areas. Love this place 😊❤️. There is a car park but it's quite small so I wouldn't Bank on a space and parking on roads around Holland Park is probably almost £5 an hour.
K.
Lovely park on central line with a beautiful Japanese garden, roaming peacocks and squirrels. The garden is not too busy on weekdays; the Japanese garden is quite tranquil and relaxing place.
A. A.
Beautiful park with lots to see and do. Highly recommend the Japanese garden with the koi pond. And see if you can spot a peacock or two wandering through the gardens.
A. D.
It’s a great place to spend a day.
H. W.
Lovely park to walk around in. A little on the small side but not as as busy as Hyde park, especially on weekdays. The Japanese garden is well worth visiting. If you are lucky you can catch one of the Summer operas.
D. C.
I think this may be the finest park in the whole world. Sports fields and outdoor gym for the adults. Toddler playground and adventure playground for the kids. Formal gardens, Japanese and otherwise. Peacocks walking around for heavens sake. The trails in the back feel sufficiently rural that you forget you're in town. A+, 10/10
N. A.
The park is massive and it has lots of beautiful things to see but I'm afraid I couldn't get to see all of it as I'm not really fond of the forests that they have.
F. R.
Serene, picturesque park with trails, gardens, kids' playground, etc. Well-maintained grounds and clean washrooms - make this a great spot to meet family and friends.
R. W.
I hadn’t realised how large and varied Holland Park is. Containing several buildings (orangery, café, Belvedere restaurant, Holland House open air theatre, youth hostel, public car park, the Design Museum just south of it) and gardens (the Japanese styled Kyoto Garden and Fukushima Memorial Garden, and formal gardens), semi-wild woodland, tennis courts, cricket pitch, sculptures, and peacocks
N. h. V. n. S. K. f. J. J.
I've been coming here my whole life. I still love this park. I come here when I need some time to think. The Kyoto gardens are especially my favourite.
M. B.
Really lovely park with a Zen like Japanese garden in the middle. Beautiful in autumn. Good for a nice walk.
D. G.
A big nice park, where you can admire squirrels, peacocks, statues, wonderful vegetation, and also, you can relax in peace
W. C.
It is nice place to visit and walk. Not like other park there are many narrow road and hill. There is kids play ground as well.
K. C.
Really pretty gardens. Although not much flowering. Definitely come back during the summer or when spring has actually kicked in... Assuming we get a spring...
S. J.
This park is a great place to start your day with. Whilst the area is huge there is not that many people. You could take your time to explore the area. It's a very quiet and peaceful place to be. The entry is FOC and you could spend as much time as you need to explore the surroundings. You would also be greeted by a bunch of peace loving and friendly squirrels 😀
J. W.
This is a very pleasant park with great facilities. When passing through here on the way to the station, I noticed that it was very well maintained. I would definitely like to visit here again and take a look at the Japanese inspired section.
M. N.
Beautiful park! Here we found blooming bushes in the middle of November. ( We came from snow in Norway
V. K.
Very nice park in central London. Amazing for hot summer days. It is very easy to find it and the houses/streets around are deffinitely place to visit and see.
Y. A.
Kyoto garden with fishes and peacocks is charming! And there are some interesting guided walks happening regularly like Beginner’s Birdwatching walk. Highly recommended!
S. H.
Great place to chill out in the sunshine. Kyoto gardens is well worth a walk around. There's often wildlife roaming around aswell.
A. K.
Beautiful place for kids and adults.
We saw two peacocks:)
Great playground for big and small.
Roses are blooming so the smell is stunning
V. J.
It had everything you'd like for a park. It's big enough to have a nice city-escaping walk, it has a big green to have picnics in summer, there are children playgrounds around, and you have Interesting attractions such as the Japanese garden.
M. C.
One of the nicest and well taken care of parks in London. Absolutely beautiful, definitely worth a visit!
P. S.
Most beautiful park in London!!
Very pretty and quite.
It’s not a secret tip, but still very nice.
S. D.
Lovely park. Something for everyone to see and enjoy.

All of London's parks are gems, but Holland Park is particularly lovely if you have young children. The Adventure Playground, recently reopened (July 19, 2019) is a must, with it's "dragon" rope swing, zip line, and lots of climbing challenges to get to the slides. Nearby are the Kyoto Garden if you're seeking tranquility, or the beautiful Dutch Garden and Chess Playground. On most visits you will spot one of the Park's resident peacocks and wild birds abound in the blackberry thickets that border many of the walkways.

Beautiful park with wooded areas. Kyoto garden was the best part of the park with peacocks walking around and lovely scenery. A well kept park with a cafe in the middle
e. s.
Absolutely beautiful, best park in london
m. t.
Kyoto Gardens and the resident wildlife are two main draws, though the English Gardens and the meander through the italianesque courtyards are lovely in season too.
d. s.
Lovely park! A bit more crowded than others but Kyoto gardens are wonderful
S.
It's very beautiful place for everyone!
R.
It’s a beautiful park! The kyoto garden & the peacocks are my favourite!
They have really pretty flowers, quite a picturesque place - would be ideal for photo shoots or just general photos for the gram or Facebook.
However, if you’re traveling by car the car park is quite expensive - it’s pay by coins or pay by phone.
M. V.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, had lunch at the cafe and then went to the kyoto garden, saw foxes, squirrels, peacocks, and peahens
I. T.
Amazing park! And there's a good place near by where you can eat.
T. G.
Fascinating West London Park..Out of sight and sound of the traffic. Great for running, walking or just Zen in peace and quiet.
K. Y. L. (.
Nice woodland area in heart of London. However the main attraction (Kyoto Garden) is always full of people even on weekdays and taking wedding photos.
C. G.
I like mostly the small beautiful gardens and one interesting children's playground.
M.
Lovely park in a lovely location, it's great to see the peacocks wandering about free.
Plenty for the kids to do and a nice little cafe.
I has all you need.
G. G.
Very quiet and beautiful place for spending time with all family☺👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
C. K.
Lovely Park, many benches and fallen tree to sit on, well shadowed with tree crownes, playing field for ball games, many kids and dogs. Downsides not cleaned after dogs in sand boxes.
N. A.
Lovely park to spend time with friends and family in hot summer days.
g. a.
Beautiful park and excellent with kids, newish adventure playground has two functioning toilets, and there r more near the cafe. These days when lot of parks shut their toilets it is a rarity (absolutely crazy and will leave u in agony if you are pregnant or in desperate need honestly don't understand why majority of outdoor services r still shut 1.5y later, like if lockdowns weren't bad enough for all of us).
G. B.
A very easy place to spend a day in the sun. Accessible cafe in the middle of the grounds, fantastic horticulture and peacocks galore. What’s not to love?
E. B.
My local park has been my safe haven in times of distress and also on my good days ,,
I am SO blessed to be living on the door step of this AMAZING park!!
O. B.
Relaxing place, this park is not the biggest but is enough to make yourself feel better. There is a cafe in the middle of the park, and a beautiful peacock sometimes sings terrible songs worse than a truck horn. And it has a must to see beauty Kyoto Park inside.
C. F.
Kyoto Garden in Holland Park is one of the most inspiring gardens I've ever been in. They flew in Japanese architects to construct it all and everything has its place, and it's mesmerising.
R. C.
A lovely and calm park in the middle of the city. With the Design Museum as added bonus.
L. C.
If u wan some peace, if u wan enjoy the natures beauty, if u wan some time with your family this is it... Picturesque nature blessing... Jus loved it
R. J.
Holland park with its Kyoto Gardens is definitely worth a visit, but I prefer more spacious parks like Battersea or Regent's park. It is still very pretty, especially the rose garden and the japanese garden. Open air opera is also worth a visit if you have a chance.
R. D.
Kyoto Garden is lovely. The whole park is a little small but beautiful. Shame the peacocks didn't do their thing.
M. T.
Saw a lot of fat squirrels, 2 peacocks, and a very nice Japanese style garden (Kyoto garden).
A. A.
Amazing park, Japanese park is super cute, highly recommend
F. B.
fresh air and wide space, nice exercise place for body and mind, love the quite area. Peacock was a nice surprise
K. B.
Fairly small but nice park in a lovely area of London full of lovely shops, restaurants and coffee shops
C.
lovely park for a walk around nice peaceful area
I. B.
Amazing park! Different from others.. you feel like you are talking a walk in a small forest ❤
i. m.
Nice park to spend few hours.
S. N.
Great if you're just with friends or family but not a place to walk your dog (ken gardens is preferable for that). However, there is an adjoining cycle lane just outside that you can - some people do occasionally get told off for having dogs off the lead but you could risk it. They have to be leader once you reach the woods at the rear.
m. k.
Beautiful park, more like forest. Feels so good to walk through and see many plants, trees and animals. So relaxing ...
M. G.
I really loved this park mainly cause it reminded me of the woods back in my country but alsa cause I got to feed a squirrel some sunflower seeds
R. L.
Holland park is one of most beautiful parks in London. It is large and clean and there is a cozy cafe if one would like a hot beverage and/or snack such as sandwiches, pastries and even very tasty bacon roll. The only shortfall are the prices hence 4 stars rather than 5.
i. h. c.
Do not miss this well designed park. Colourful and full of joy every season. Grab your food from High Street Kensington and eat here or stop by the park's cafe
c. C.
Beautiful park wasn't ever too busy while we were visiting which could be an anomaly, when the opera was on it was wonderful to hear the music floating through the park!
K.
Currently some works going on and was busy but the grounds were beautiful, 'wild' peacocks and plenty of seating. Extra lovely as it was so sunny. A lot of different trails to follow.
F. P. t. L.
Amazing park in the west of London.
Very nice in any season of the year with beautiful gardens.
S. K.
Visited first time.. kids loved this place
B. B.
This park is small but very beautiful. I really like the Japanese garden.
D. H.
Love doing yoga there in summer with my friends! The playground is perfect for families with kids or nannies/babysitters. 4/5 because it's not really for a stroll around you might go to Hyde a park nearby instead for that. But for catching up with a friend, seeing Kyoto garden or doing exercise on flat ground, just perfect.
S. A. N.
... beautiful park, best to visit when the garden is in bloom. just stunning!
S. J.
There is always something to see here, even in January. Don't miss Kyoto Gardens!
M. S.
I went to the Kyoto garden and had a lovely and relaxing walk. Definitely worth a visit
M. B.
Walking through Notting Hill with nice end in Holland Park. Not to big but pleasant, with small section felling like a forest. Kyoto Garden, located almost in the middle is highly recommended few benches around the pond are available to relax for a while. It might get very busy during the weekend with nice weather.
J. K.
Decent park. Loved the Kyoto garden and the concept. If you are lucky, you might end up bumping into a nice peacock 🍁
S. s.
Small but perfectly formed. A staycation vist
L. H.
A quiet park, less crowded than Hyde Park or Kensington & with great little thematic gardens (dutch, japanese...). Very nice for a walk !
A.
lovely little park to visit in the evening , clean and quite park , great place to relaxation
V. I.
Nice park to walk around or jog. Easily accessible from the Holland Park bus stops. Kyoto Garden inside the park and the cafe are good as well. They have toilets too.
S. Q.
Nice place for a walk. Parking on a Saturday after 1:30pm is free on the streets around the park.
D. W.
Really interesting park with network of wooded paths and a terrific kids playground hidden within. There is also a Japanese garden and peacocks...
C. C.
The nice japanese garden is a latest addition to this secluded corner of London thats a far cry from the over crowded Hyde park Green park St James park a stones throw away. A children's corner being built will add more reason to visit this park. For now its got to be a three stars
c. z.
Hidden gem within the city, next to nothing hill, Hyde park and high street kensington.
U. W.
Small garden in the city that feels like a forest. Almost reminded of Northern California nature preserves in bustling Bay area.
z. n.
Great park with a fair amount of places to keep you busy. The Kyoto garden is a particular highlight. Nice little cafes to grab a coffee and food from.
K. A.
Wonderful place to visit it was amazing to get good scenery for photographers in the park
M. V.
I love Holland Park. Let this photo be another admiration of my beautiful London❤️
Today the sky often changes color, the sun competes with the rain. Camelia starts blossom everywhere!
C. M.
One of my favourite parks in London. Nice place for a quiet walk. The peacocks are always something to look out for and feeding the squirrels is always fun!! Kyoto Garden is quite calming as well.
R. C.
By far, the most beautiful park situated in Kensington. Very green a nice variety of flowers and pretty birds around. In case you visit this park, ensure to visit Kyoto Gardens - a splendid small gift from Japan which is located inside Holland Park.
L. A.
Love it there... Such a beautiful park! Lovely, specially in the spring time when the flower beds bloom.
B.
I always love this park. Only one thing it is getting more crowded but visitors are all respect to each other. I love the little cafe and the members in the cafe were so kind. The play ground for children is amazing but it will be easily packed with crowd.
G. R.
We always love going there buy not during half term !
C.
Definitely my favourite park in London! The japanese garden is beautiful and it is so peaceful to sit and hear the waterfall when its not too busy. Seeing the peacocks fly is such an incredibly experience as they soar through the sky. There are lots of beautiful cherry blossoms and lovely flowers.
A. “. P.
Me and my girlfriend loved it, it's a bit too small, but it reflects a beautiful culture of Japan.
s. o.
One of London's great parks, excellent flowers and design and a few quieter leafy wood patches, even during weekend. Kyoto garden area is great for a photo op.
F. D.
A big green spot in center London.Ideal for walk surrounded by green trees and fresh air.no cycling and no loose dogs tough.
E. b.
My favourite park in London! Love all the beautiful details you find around.
A. B.
I visited here years ago with my aunt and sisters. We loved it but its sad we haven't been to visit there in awhile
M. G.
Very well kept gardens, beautiful roses, peacocks and lots of plant species around. Free entrance, but had to pay for the car park (2 hours, I paid £7.87).
N. P.
Amazing ambience that gives you feeling of Japanese town.. felt nostalgic as I lived in japan for years
M.
One of the best parks in London.
I recommend checking out the Japanese garden inside Holland Park.
They have beautiful peacocks which roam the park. The dahlia garden area is usually stunning but they were not blooming yet in June. They didn't even look like they had planted any dahlias. I hope they do. 2018.
M. A.
Really beautiful place. If the weather's nice - it's perfect for a casual stroll. Doesn't feel as busy as so many of the other London parks.
C. G.
A gorgeous park in the middle of London; smaller than Hyde but equally lovely and quiet. An all time favorite.
A. A.
I spent here a really nice afternoon! Amazing park
E. L.
Amazing, beautiful park. The landscaping is wonderful and makes this park really enjoyable and peaceful to go for a walk. Also, peacocks roaming out and about!
S. J.
Great Park loads of room to walk around whether its on your own, with the family or even your dog :)
W. S.
The stunning part is the Kyoto Garden, tiny but cozy, elegant but comfortable.
P.
A beautiful place to rest and reflect. Lots of benches throughout and a restaurant and cafe nearby.
T. A.
I was here in April 2018. Weather and atmosphere is amazing, expect too many unexpected birds 😁 love the nature
M. A.
Beautiful park especially the fukoshima gardens
M. L.
Very big and beautiful park
A. B.
A really beautiful park close to the high street. A lot of places to explore (kyoto garden, the dutch flowers, and a game of chess). During the summer months they also have a opera going on which has reasonable priced tickets.
The space is quite limited for dogs to run around.
There are two places for toddles and young kids to play which are really nice.
The coffee shop seating area has jist been refurbished and there are a lot more seats.
N. R.
One of my favourite central London parks. Has everything to offer. Fantastic children's play area. Beautiful famous Japanese garden. Amazing restaurant and a place for afternoon tea. It has open air opera in the summer months. And also has enchanting forest like walkes with Amazing wildlife including peacocks.
T. W.
Beautiful place! Perfect for walks, picnics and meetups and being with nature!
C. M.
Beautiful park for walk, drink a coffee, play sports
S. S.
I have started to walk for exercise and have decided to visit Holland Park. I really wanted to get back to the Japanese Kyoto Garden which is serene. The fish in the pond there are huge but peaceful. I went again on Sunday but ended up in the same spot. I will explore further.
F. o.
Absolutely love Holland Park, lots of different areas and the magnificent Kyoto Gardens, a small tea shop and an ice cream place that's always a treat
F. A.
very nice oasis in town for a walk around and loads for kids to do especially the kida adventure area. forget finding parking though!
m. A.
I visited this park nearly one hour before means 10:30 .Is good for the nearby area. But if council contribute a little bit more specifically 300 yards approx proper road is much appreciated. Because I just entered and want to take fresh air but my shoes were filled with mud .I met with other people. They were complaining about same issue.Any how good luck
m. t.

Love looking into the windows of these beautiful houses that my money could never ever buy as I don't suppose I could even earn in my years of living so that's why love looking in being nosey and wondering what people live there and what job they have...lol
H. L.
We had a lovely time at the toddler playground at this park! It is ALL sand, and looked like so much fun my daughter overcame her fear of sand !! Beautiful park for a stroll.

D. M.
Fabulous park just what the doctor ordered after a full on day at the office met a couple of friends for coffee and enjoyed the different gardens how ever i did feel sorry for the koi in this green pea soup Coloured stagnant UN filtered pond. Fabulously landscaped tho
M. K.
Holland Park has so much flora from around the world: New Zealand fern trees, Japanese Garden, Italian style garden....
E. T.
I went here today, didn't even have to take a flight, just took the tube and suddenly ended up in Holland. Amazing. There were lots of trees in the part of Holland that we went to, it was very peaceful but there were a fair amount of people. I think that's okay since it is the UK access point to Holland. I experienced no negatives side effects of traveling to Holland so quickly, however I did get a bit hungry towards the end of the day, but it was just a quick journey back to my flat thanks to the tube network connecting Holland to London so the hunger issue was quickly solved.
M. A.
One of my favourite parks in London. I visited for the first time in some time recently and had to visit that same week a few more times.
