This is a nice public space with the benefit of wonderful historic buildings. It can sometimes be very busy but is often peaceful and relaxing love ❤️ to go visit again

You could walk right past Brenchley Gardens with out even realising it was there, which would be a real shame as it is such a peaceful area which is well maintained & cared for, a great place to just sit and contemplate. Lovely in the summer especially.

During the day and especially in the summer it is a very nice place to come to and chill out, I have done so on numerous occasions with friend and family. It is a beautiful park and there are numerous events held in it throughout the summer months. Plenty of space for a picnic and is located right next to the high street, so isn't out of the way at all. It is probably best to stay away at night because it is known for drug users and various other crimes which is unfortunate but it doesn't seem as though the authorities really have much presence in the area.

Its nice here in the summer, the gardens are well looked after and the bandstand is pleasant. You can find a bench and eat your lunch from the nearby high Street or sit on the grass. It's not so nice at night and can attract people who might make you feel uncomfortable if you're alone. Brenchley House is next to this which is definitely worth a visit any time of the year.

Lovely gardens, always being maintained by the Maidstone borough council staff. Flowers and grass area are pretty and a nice place to pass through. When the weather is nice it's great to see lots of people making use of the green space with picnics etc. It's a shame that Brenchley Gardens is often frequented by people smoking drugs at all hours with not a bit of respect for others having to breathe it in, and it's often the go to place for drunk people staggering around. Also, if you like groups of people making lots of noise and rubbish then it's the place to be. Not so nice for my children to witness but hey ho, it looks nice when the sun is out and if you like a bloke with his status dog and his top off. To be fair, I do see the odd PCSO and other official looking people around trying to make it a better place but unfortunately Brenchley does have that reputation for the not so desirable behaviour too!

I enjoyed a stroll through the gardens on my way to the train station. It is a lovely landscaped green area with flowers, trees and benches where one can relax and enjoy the atmosphere. I like the Victorian Gazebo.

Benchley is appropriate name. It is well laid out with a lot of benches around the border adjacent to a pathway. Pleasant, quiet, central rectangle is just grass flower beds around the edges. Cool for summer, pretty in spring, a bit windy in autumn and winter.

The weather, service and a all around nice play to stay during the day. However lots of drugs are exchanged and smoked/ consumed at night... Cases where people have knives is also true. Its nice just be careful

Nicely kept gardens, popular during the day for workers having their lunch breaks. I would use during the day, but in the evening this is a known spot for drugs and antisocial goings on. One of the towns known avoidable locations at night.

Used to be a great place to go, sadly now one of the entrances has been boarded up (already covered in graffiti) - the gardeners there do a great job keeping the garden looking nice but now probably never go in there again
