Reviews of Claremont Road Car Park
F. A.
Tight entrance, pretty cheap, open 24 hrs. Slightly confused by the gold passes thing but we survived. Great location - straight off the motorway and only a 10-20 min walk to city centre.
P. M.
Mon-Sat, £1.50 an hour from 8am-6pm. (Free after 6pm)
Sundays are £3 for all day parking.
R. S.
Popped in for Parkrun as the Metros were not running properly. Good location for a car park and easy to get to. Pay By Phone is always a bonus.
J. G.
Good rates. The signage could be clearer and generally tidied up.
S.
Good access for getting into Newcastle and good for parking for the match, like all car parks in city you have to pay
D. E.
Easy access. Free after 6.00pm too!
P. G.
Being close to the city is convenient, fortunately we got there early (08:30) the carpark fills up quickly. We were there for over 5 hrs, and maybe because of the school run or the rush hour there appeared to be a good turnnover of spaces as we were leaving.

This car park at the moment is for NHS workers only. It is not obvious as the signs saying this don't point in the direction you can see them as you drive in. An NHS worker passed us by and told us. The pay machines are closed and covered. Only pay method is via paybyphone app anyway...It's good for NHS workers to have some kind of reward or easier life after all....
N. A.
Currently NHS only. Usually £1.50 per hour and reasonable large, can usually find spaces. Sundays £3 all day. Charging hours are 8am to 6pm.

as a disabled driver I have been fortunate I think and always got a space, I believe it has camera monitors so that makes me relieved for the security of my car and it is only 10 minutes to either the town or the RVI a usefull parking spot.
P. H.
Can be really busy but its in a good location, pay and display either by cash or phone payment
A. C.
How do you rate a car park? I paid the car was there when I got back. Happy!

Fairly priced with PatByPhone option. Close proximity to the RVI with far less traffic

Plenty of spaces, think it was £3.50 for a 24hr parking ticket
K. F.
A handy and convenient place to park. As it is away from the main city centre it allows me to join the central motorway without getting stuck in traffic.
M. C.
Good location and price.

Need more disabled bays, as always full early also too many prepaid & reserved bays
R. T.
A little bit more than other car parks

Ok carpark. Feels like kids may drink there at night. Lots of empty bottles around. Best to avoid at night of you can
S. H.
Nice and easy parking, reasonably priced (especially Sundays), within walking distance of the city centre.
C. W.
It's a car park. Near enough to town, less hassle than city centre
A. C.
Parked here for going to an midweek match at St James and it was great. Parking was free after 6pm and was only a ten minute walk away.
V. E.
Close to the hospital and city centre. Dead reasonable charges. Really smashing find. There always seems to be spaces!
M.
Expensive for away from the centre. Targets uni students. Hard to get a space and hard to turn right out the car park.
N. M.
