I have now been training with Stu for 5 years and would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to try training for the first time, or if you have trained before but want to train for a purpose. I started training with Stu after the birth of my first child when I wanted to lose weight and within a year I had lost a stone and have maintained my new weight ever since. Having a busy home and work life means that training with Stu once a week gives me a break and the chance to keep fit and healthy. Stu makes the sessions enjoyable and I look forward to training each week. Tom

I have been working out with Stu for over a year now just before we were coming out of lockdown, he is a great PT! We started the training at my home in my garage and outside. Even my neighbours noticed it and loved our training days. In the gym I hit a lot of my personal best during this time be it squads or dead-lifts weights or push-ups. Not only does he push you to do your best in every workout, he also knows how to have a great chat lots of stories never a dull moment with him and make you laugh! He’s great at making workouts tailored to your needs keeping in mind your strengths and weaknesses and achieve your goals . Thank you so much Stu!

I’ve been working with Stu for quite a few months now and it’s been honestly great. I went in with very little knowledge of working with weights and my general fitness was at an all time low due to developing chronic fatigue syndrome. In these few months my confidence in the gym has grown exponentially.
Stu knows exactly how much and when to push me without pushing me too hard and causing my fatigue to flare up. Always patient and never judging when I’m having a particular hard time that day with my illness. I’d highly recommend working with him, you certainly wouldn’t regret it.

Stuart is an exceptionally good personal trainer who I've been seeing 2/3 times a week for 6 years now. He is motivational, knowledgeable and friendly. He created a fitness plan based on my goals and works with me to achieve it with encouragement, wisdom and banter. Stu is a wonderful trainer, and I had an excellent experience using him. From the first phone call I made to enquire into his services, to our final workout before I left Bristol, communication was great and clear, and he was always able to adapt our sessions to my schedule. I am an athlete who needed to regain muscle after an injury and prepare for an upcoming season. Stu listened to what areas I specifically wanted to work on, and catered the workouts to those. In the workouts there was variety every time, and the perfect balance of working my muscles hard without unnecessary exhaustion. He’s a great trainer with extensive knowledge who listens to requests, makes excellent personalised workout plans, and provides great chat during the workouts. I wholeheartedly recommend him, and am so thankful for everything I gained from our sessions!

I first contacted Stu as I wanted a personal trainer to get me into shape for my wedding in July. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but Stu made me feel at ease from the first session and gave me the motivation I needed to carry on. I started training with Stuart in January 2016.
As a 52-year-old man who had never exercised before, my goals were simple: to increase my muscle mass, to become more supple/flexible and improve my posture.
Not only did I achieve these goals with Stuart, I achieved something much more important. As my body changed, I gained more confidence and belief in myself.
Initially, I was apprehensive starting to exercise. But Stuart soon put me at ease. He introduced me to a whole range of functional exercises which used all my muscle groups.
With Stuart, devising a dedicated training program, through my own hard work, my overall strength and fitness significantly improved. And so did my quality of life. It was not easy, but Stuart kept on motivating me when I was ready to give up.
When employing a Personal Trainer Instructor, getting the results you want is crucial. With Stuart, I found his professionalism and dedication towards me, as a client, was second to none. We built up a rapport and trust.

He is a motivating trainer who continued to push me (even when I had a broken foot) and helped me prepare for trekking across the Sahara and some of my other crazy ideas! Before I looked into personal training sessions, I had been going to the gym for a while but I was really stuck in a rut. I wasn't pushing myself at all and didn't know how to make changes to my workout. I started training with Stu in September 2011 and I've seen him every week since. The sessions are relaxed, fun and never daunting.
Stu is encouraging and knows how to push me that little bit more. I still look forward to every session and always leave feeling that I've worked hard and am very pleased with the results and the improvements I've made. The sessions are varied so I don't get bored and I've tried exercises or equipment that I wouldn't have gone near at the gym. Stu has given me work-outs to do at the gym and has helped me with a healthier eating plan.
The sessions are worth every penny as you get one on one attention and guidance for the whole session; he's with me every sweaty step of the way!

I've been training with Stu for a few months and I have to say I've had a great time! In the first session we sat down and talked about my goals and I was immediately relaxed. He has devised a varying and very effective program for each session and I can honestly say that, as a person who was at first very averse to exercise, I now look forward to each session. He is a great motivator and makes the exercise enjoyable whilst also encouraging me to achieve my targets and tone up for summer.

I've been trained by Stu twice, 3 years ago and again more recently (August 2013) and on both occasions I was looking for something to get me moving, as left to my own devices, I just don't make the time. He's a very likable, easy-going character, gently cheerful of an early morning and just chatty enough to take your mind off the 'burn'! Importantly he really knows his stuff and is very attentive, making sure you keep good form throughout each exercise, to ensure maximum benefit and that the weights etc are appropriate for your ability. He varies the session every single week - to the point that in more than 12 weeks, I've hardly had any repeats at all. Also, each exercise tends to only last a few minutes, or a certain number of reps before it's time for the next one. This is perfect if you are not naturally drawn to the gym or get bored easily. He will listen carefully to what you want and make sure that's what you are working towards. Despite being very fit and healthy himself, you can still talk to him about things like cake without being looked down on - I find this is a very reassuringly human trait! I'd seriously recommend him to anyone, young or old, pro athlete or couch potato, fit or fat - don't be nervous, if you want to get fitter but just don't know how to get going, give him a call.
