I can’t recommend the personal training at Synergi enough! Verity is a wonderful coach who thinks about all aspects of your fitness (training, diet, sleep, cognitive load etc...) when devising and maintaining your plans. She adapts the plan as necessary to fit any changes to your weekly routine and is at all times encouraging and friendly (but she also knows how to push you to your limits and then some) ! I have a strength personal training session once a week to supplement my ultra running and I’ve seen fantastic improvement in my running, strength and overall fitness! My improved strength also keeps me injury free! This has become as important to my ultra marathon training regime as my long runs!!

The personal training at SYNERGI gym is highly recommended. I did not know anything about weightlifting, nor nutrition or diet.
I booked 10 personal training sessions with Matt, who taught me how to weight lift properly and also gave me a nutritional diet plan. The results I have had have been amazing, I have lost inches, but not only that, my mind feels great aswell! I now look forward to my gym sessions every week!

I've been training with Matt for two and a half years and he continues to find ways to keep me engaged and challenge me week in week out. When I started, I could barely overhead squat with an empty barbell. Matt was patient and through his exceptional coaching I'm happy to say my lifting has come on leaps and bounds.
Matt is very skilled at being able to see technical faults with your lifts, explain to you what's happening and finding cues to help correct the fault. It's hard to get this level of one to one attention and coaching in a large class setting and so I'd highly recommend anyone struggling with their Olympic Lifts to get in touch with Matt!
I actually see Matt's biggest strength as being able to completely adapt to the needs of the client. My job can be very stressful at times and sometimes the thought of facing doing anything technical is just too much for me to handle. Matt can see this straight away and completely alters my programme to ensure that I can still get a good session in, improve my overall strength and leave the gym feeling positive.
I'd highly recommend Matt (and do so frequently) to anyone and everyone that has a passion for weightlifting and has a genuine desire to improve.

I've been weightlifting with Matt for a few months now. Converting from a background in powerlifting, I have struggled with mobility in getting into positions that are not comfortable, which was inevitable. Matt's extensive knowledge in the mechanics of the body infused with his methodology has significantly improved my mobility in a relatively short period of time.
Matt's patience and technical prowess continues to keep me engaged and challenged during my program and weekly technical sessions. His greatest assist in my opinion, is his ability to breakdown movements and simulate what your doing compared to what is correct. This is a skill you you do not see with many coaches. A skill that is really beneficial in a 1:1 or 2:1 coaching session.
I'd highly recommend Matt if you want to engage with weightlifting. Ironing out bad habits is his forte.

I’ve been training with Matt for the last 8 years. Through the years the training has changed due to work/family and injury issues. Matt has a dynamic understanding of personal training and his vast experience and knowledge always results in an excellent workout that has resulted in the body shape and fitness I’ve desired. Synergie Weightlifting as a gym caters for all. There is an eclectic mix of ages, body type and fitness level. It’s well equipped, well organised and not intimidating. Definitely worth checking out.

The SYNERGI team are brilliant! I normally have PT sessions with Verity and she always plans around your likes and dislikes (and injuries). The sessions are safe, fun and the right level of challenging! Verity is particularly good at dealing with any health problems and can programme holistically. I’ve also worked with Matt when I was trying to improve my olympic lifting technique. He is very patient and can spot and provide understandable cues for the technical side really well! Highly recommended!

I was an avid gym goer but due to a change in personal circumstances and mounting mental health issues I hadn’t been able to train for over a year. I am now training with Elin and she has helped me recover some of my self esteem as well as my strength which has in turn been good for my mental health. Don’t be fooled by her youth as she has an old head on young shoulders!!
I cannot thank her enough for her patience as I can be a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to training but she pushes me when I need it and eases off if I’m having a bad day. Would highly recommend this young lady as she is an absolute star and she makes training fun.

I've never liked going to the gym. but had a shoulder injury that needed stengthening. Verity did amazing job at helping me get the strength back and more. she encouraged me to join the powerlifting classes and now I'm enjoying the gym which I never thought possible. Thanks Verity

Having had group personal training by Matt, it really didn't feel like I was getting any less attention despite being with 2 other people. Matt was able to provide workouts on a group basis but individualise the experience to each person.
I not only had the support of Matt but also the people I worked out with who turned out to be friends from total strangers!

8 months ago, I was new to powerlifting. I asked Verity for a session or two to learn correct lifting techniques. I am now benching 40kg, Romanian deadlifting 65kg and have lost 4kg in weight. Not bad for a post-menopausal woman 🤸🏾♀️🏋🏾♀️😂🤣
