I started training with Mike in 2015, I was already a member at the gym but felt I needed more help on how to loose weight & get fitter.
From day 1 Mike encouraged me to try new exercises & routines that would help me with my goal. He has a very professional & positive attitude & does not judge you. His approach & attention to each session was always 100%, I lost 2.5 stone in 18 months. Mike has a vast knowledge of nutrition & is always there to give advice even away from the gym, be it a txt/email or phone call. I would highly recommend him to anyone as he’s a great bloke who knows his stuff

I was not happy with myself going to the gym and yet not seeing any results. So, I tried Mike's 90 days muscle acceleration program and since then have seen non-stop progress week after week in terms of weight loss, gym performance and form. Mike's program helped me improve on my over all well-being but most of all it has increased my self-esteem.
I have learned from coach Mike about dieting and weight training. He is particular with the way you are executing the exercises, and will give you tips on how to do it properly. His instruction videos are short but very instructive. He checks regularly to make sure you are on track with your goals. He knows his trade very well making him one of the best online trainer out there. Very honest and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Although I attended the Gym most days, it wasn't until I started training with Mike that I really saw the difference. Mike personalised my training programme to suit my age, size and strength and helped push me reach my goals.

I first met Mike in 2015 whilst being a member of the Total Fitness gym in Hull, I have been a gym member on & off over 25 years, also a keen cyclist, swimmer & walker, my partner was considering consulting a personal trainer to help us develop a weight loss & strength programme that was realistic for our age, size & life style. So she did some research. She met a few PT’s & then asked me to come along & meet Mike. From the start Mike was very approachable & easy to get along with, he is professional & positive with his complete out look to tailoring your training & nutrition. He helped us both, encouraging us to learn new & better techniques with exercises, more importantly Mike has a superb knowledge of nutrition which helped, I lost 1.5 stone over the year & learnt to make better choices of food to eat to stay healthy but still enjoy life. Mike is a great personal trainer with a vast knowledge in a wide range of training methods. He couples this with a great in depth understanding of the needs of correct nutrition in the training programme. I first worked with Mike about four years ago where after a few disappointing endurance event results, a fellow runner said I should try a personal trainer and recommended Mike. I was not disappointed, I received great encouragement and was told to take a more consistent training approach. Mike formulated a great training programme for me to follow which worked, and I took 20 minutes off my marathon personal best. I have two big Ironman events towards the end of 2021 (hopefully) and with lockdown causing chaos for training, I have started working with Mike again and I know with his guidance and training methods I will achieve. I would highly recommend working with Mike to anyone wanting to achieve their goals.

Mike and I met 2 years ago when I was at a low point in my fitness. I had tried everything to achieve my goal and was still nowhere close to what I wanted to achieve for myself. I had tried all the diets (even a fish only plan, eugh!) and all the different exercises people came up with, nothing worked.
Mike changed all of that for me and within the same year of meeting him and following his advice, I achieved my goal physique, something i had dreamed of for so long. Mike showed me about calorie tracking - how to work out how much fat, carbs, protein i was eating a day and how to play around with this to adjust for when i was wanting to gain muscle or lose fat. At first it sounds tedious, tracking your calories, but it made the biggest difference and with Mike's advice through MyFitnessPal, it was so easy. Now i'm so used to it I can adjust meals wherever i am to still hit my targets daily.
Mike also set me up with exercise plans. At first glance you think "this doesn't look hard, there aren't lots of sets or reps".....but when you push yourself, they are exhausting! Not only that, they have never failed me. I have never been as happy with my fitness progress as I have when I have had Mike helping me out. He is always at hand to advise as well. No matter what i need to ask or when, we always gets back to me quickly and answers my questions, no matter how out there they are.
If you are looking for someone who really knows his stuff, Mike is the PT for you. His understanding of fitness, down to the science, is outstanding and second to none. Not only that, he LOOKS the part and when your PT is your body goal, you know they know what they're doing and how to get you there too.
I am still working with Mike 2 years on and I cannot wait to see where i can take my progress, knowing i'm in safe hands with him and trusting the process.

Mike was a huge help when I started seriously considering getting healthy 3 years ago. He helped me lose 5 stone, something I didn't think was possible and helped motivate me whenever I thought about giving up, which has not been the case with previous trainers I have used.
He is incredible at what he does with great knowledge and doesn't provide cookie cutter training but works with you to suit you as an individual and can easily suggest alternative exercises to work around injury and repetitiveness to keep your fitness journey fresh.
His support both in and out of the gym is next level especially when it comes to nutrition and helping you understand what and how much you should be eating to get the results you want as well as during the pandemic his online coaching has helped me maintain all the progress I made.
I would highly recommend Mike to anyone bo matter their goals, from wanting to loose that extra weight to wanting build up that strength and get the confidence boost that comes with it.

Working with Mike was the best thing I did. I had a goal and Mike helped me achieve it. I was unsure about starting as I was 68 at the time but Mike’s programme both in the gym and nutrition was achievable but needed hard work which it’s all about. The results made me feel it was all worthwhile and I still follow the gym programme when the gyms are open. As an older person I felt I was becoming unfit, and as a result, lazy. I made contact with Mike after I heard bout him through friends. I found him to be very professional and knowledgeable. He worked a bi-weekly programme out for me.

I couldn’t recommend Mike enough. I achieved amazing results with his guidance and really toned up. I first put on some muscle and then lost the body fat whilst maintaining the amount of muscle I had put on and was absolutely blown away with the results. Not only did he show me amazing form and made sure I was performing the exercises correctly, he also taught me a lot about nutrition and how important getting adequate protein carbs and fats is in muscle building/toning up. He is very responsive and when I had queries, he would get back to me straight away on the same day so I never felt alone in the process.. he was there every step of the way!
