Scott's the head coach of BearWolf training. I've had several PT's/Trainers over the years, but Scott is the first coach & I'm very lucky to have had his help. While its easy and true to talk about things like the community and spirit that Scott and the team bring to training, the primary forces which go hand in hand are honesty and commitment. BearWolf also run the classes at CrossFit Purley which is actually a great way to get to know the team and work out who would be a good match for you and your goals. Scott helped me quickly reached mine and I was really pleased to reach the 1000lb club in powerlifting in a much shorter timeframe than I thought.
Honestly, as I carry on my path to transition into a full-on bear, Scott’s been the architect of that. Oddly as the head bear, Scott also has a beard which seems to go into hibernation in summer months. It’s always nice to see it re-emerge just in time to face the winter.

I’ve always been a regular at the gym but I’d picked up some bad habits and I was getting lots of injuries. So I was after some help to fix the causes of the injuries and then learn some new more functional exercises.
Training with Scott has been great; the injuries are finally behind me, my range of movement is dramatically improved and he’s set me up with a program to follow which means I push myself harder when I’m training on my own.
I’d recommend BearWolf to beginners and experienced gym users. You probably think you know what you’re doing, but you could almost certainly be doing it better with some coaching.

His knowledge, careful planning of individually tailored sessions, communication skills, capacity to encourage and challenge me and deliver results is superb! Never felt better about myself since i started training at BearWolf Training. The instructors are 100% committed in helping you reach your goals. The Crossfit training side is a great way to interact with people on the same fitness levels as you are. Everyone motivates each other and pushes you to reach your full potential. Bearwolf training has changed my life massively. Supportive coaches with tons of knowledge in all areas of fitness, and amazing fellow members of all abilities and ages make it a great atmosphere to push each other and achieve our goals together.
Personally I would not have achieved so much in the time I have been with Bearwolf training than if I went to a conventional gym. Cannot recommend Bearwolf training enough.

Had been training at commercial gyms for 10+ years and naively thought i had it sussed. Would train most days, eat well and train well. Joined up with Bearwolf as i'd tried the odd 'functional training' session and thought it was another way to 'do a bit more cardio'
Can safely say joining up at Bearwolf changed my body, attitude and understanding of fitness. I don't know of any where else you can go for a complete fitness experience. Whatever your goal, i genuinely believe your best chance of achieving is by using the resources at Bearwolf. From the coaches who each have their own areas of expertise to the friendly, welcoming environment and equipment...Bearwolf is the place.
I particularly recommend taking time to combine your experience with the CrossFit facility in addition to personal training with a coach or even hand picking a different coach each session for whatever your goal is.
Finally if nothing else it's good just to be able to have the odd moody instagram photo next to the impressive Bearwolf!

I first started working with Scott Huggins and Bearwolf Training in 2011 after being referred by a close friend.
At that time my Goals were to get fitter, lose weight and increase my range of Motion. As a 65 year old man, although I had done a lot of sport before I felt I didn’t have the knowledge and direction to achieve my goals without some guidance from a coach.
After a consistent stint of training unfortunately in 2012 I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, and had to have an Operation to remove the Organ by Robotic Key Hole Surgery. Before the procedure I had to lose between 14-21 pounds.
With the help of Scott, along with a structured training and Nutrition plan, in 8 weeks I had lost 28 pounds, along with feeling a great deal fitter and healthier as a bi product of the plan.
I continued to train with scott until September 2017, until unfortunately I had to stop to have a Hip replacement Operation. I am now in the rehabilitation phase, post operation, and back training one to one with Scott. My goal is to get back to the fitness I had before my hip started to regress.
I can recommend Bearwolf Training to anyone young or old. It is a happy place where I have made so many friends and at the same time achieved my own personal training goals. I am a happier, healthier and fitter man because of the training and Nutritional advice I have received from Bearwolf Training.

Bearwolf Training has changed my life and has helped me love training again. After reaching a plateau (and injuries) in my training I started 121 with JT in August. The results so far have been amazing. These guys know about movement, adapting and progression to achieve goals. Their knowledge and attention to detail on movement is just incredible!! Iv been training with Scott at BearWolf no for about 6 months and the results I have seen are non like any I have before. I have been an avid gym goer for most of my life and have a fairy good understand of what is required through my nutrition and training or so I thought. Scott has blown those doors well open and I am learning more, getting the best results Iv ever achieved and most importantly having fun doing it. The 1-1 coaching is something I have never done before in my life due to the “cost” now I cant see how I could do without it. Having somewhere who challenges but most importantly supports you week in week out, in and out of the gym is amazing. I am not an elite performer, just a normal guy who is now getting to do things like strict muscle ups ( pb -5 in a row ) that I didn’t think I could coz I told myself I couldn’t. I now don’t believe there is anything I’m not physical able to achieve with not only Scott but the bearwolf Family, the other trainers and members are always friendly supportive faces helping you achieve your goals but challenging you to constantly push yourself that little bit furthur. I just want to add to that that if you have any injuries this is also the place for you because I have had a torn maniscus disk in my left knee since I started and Scott tailor made my programme around my limitations, until we knew the out come of my one via an MRI. I could not speak more highly of the staff, the venue, or the other members. if you wanna change your life this is the place to come! - Kris Mitchell

Great coaches, awesome facilities and incredible training program. CrossFit can seem intimidating but the coaches are very technical and will guide you through the entire class so you will learn fast and most importantly won't get injured.
