Matthew is an outstanding personal trainer. He is professional, knowledgeable and adaptive, with first-rate interpersonal skills. Matthew designed a bespoke training programme to support me and, as a result of my sessions with him, I lost weight, gained strength and improved my overall fitness. Matthew was 100% committed to my goals: he was punctual and present for every arranged session, helped motivate and encourage me to give my all, and even checked in and supported me during lockdowns, sending virtual workouts to keep me going. I worked with him at home, in the gym and outside - and in every context he enabled me to make good progress.
The best thing about Matthew is his positive encouragement and expert teaching: I always left every session with him feeling motivated and like I had succeeded. His positivity and passion are infectious and I was very grateful to him for his patience and care.
If you want to meet your personal health and fitness goals, you will find no better trainer and coach than Matthew. I recommend him without reservation.

I started training with Matthew at a local park during lockdown and really enjoyed our sessions. I’ve always dreaded exercise in the past but I found myself actually looking forward to Matthew’s sessions. While he pushed me and encouraged me he never went too far and always ensured enough variety of exercises to keep it fun and interesting.
Matthew is very professional and friendly and very easy to get along with. He was always accommodating of my work schedule and was happy to meet me at different locations depending on where I was working that day.
I’d highly recommend Matthew, no matter what your fitness level.

Matt put together an excellent training plan after a chat. He really seemed to get the jist and an understanding of what was needed. He put together a routine that was spot on and (still is) flexi with times to make it happen. During the sessions the program needed to change a lot to a combo of fitness, core and rehab work. Again he listened and got the routine spot on. He pushed just enough to keep progressing, constantly reviewed excercises and timing. Meant could carry on and build up fitness different way. Matt has a good way of naturally putting you at ease. Definately recommend, still getting increasing rewards from the sessions. Thanks Matt.

I’ve been training with Matthew for a few months now and (almost) look forward to my weekly training sessions. He has been really encouraging and I’ve noticed a massive difference in my stamina and general fitness already. Matthew is professional, accommodating and very patient when he has to demonstrate things multiple times for me. He is great at pushing just enough to help you to progress but still leave you feeling motivated. I would definitely recommend his sessions, especially if it has been a while since you have done regular exercise like me!

Matthew is absolutely brilliant PT who would push you hard, but see your limits and guide you well to reach your fitness goals. He is really passionate about his career. He is discipline with himself on his routine and would be with you too. He has a good social skills and knows well how to communicate with you during the session- to give you more space or encourage you if he sees that you need an extra help. Always punctual and plans well his schedule. I would say from my personal perspective - it would be one of the best self treat and life investment that could do for yourself. At least, it is mine. I started training with Matthew whilst I was working from home during lockdown and I am so pleased I did. I wanted to generally focus on fitness and strength and Matthew kept the workouts interesting and challenging at the right level building up to some goals to achieve for our final session - having me do 15 press ups from nothing at all! I could not recommend Matthew enough, he is knowledgeable about what he does, drives just the right amount of challenge and is also generally a really great guy so enjoyable to be around even when you are working out at 7am and it is 0°c!! Matthew is great at communicating and was really accommodating around my work schedule which made it easy for me to fit a workout during the week. I feel much fitter both mentally and physically and was sad to say goodbye to Matthew on our last session when I moved out of London. For those thinking about building a PT session into their regular workouts it is not something I had done before and am definitely a convert. It adds a bit of a boost, variety and motivation to the week which I really enjoyed.

Matthew and I have the very best client, trainer relationship equal parts him pushing me to my fullest work out potential, me complaining saying I can’t do it then doing it anyway but mostly having fun whilst fulfilling all my goals I set for myself. I’ve had the privilege to work with Matthew for just over a year now in London in person and then remotely on zoom during the pandemic from a different country and after a 13 year career in the Royal Ballet and almost 5 years of retirement and more office based work with old injuries and aches and pains I can say hands down Matthew is one of the best trainers out there! - I am so much stronger and injury free through his program which has really been focused on quality and balanced all around strength (one of my goals) and it’s been fun and sustainable. He is such a professional knowing when to push you and makes sure the programme is designed to help you achieve your individual goals 🙏 Can’t imagine a life no matter what it throws at me - without his training sessions!

5/5*star rating to Matthew as our Fitness Trainer!!
Matthew was our Personal Trainer for several months and we couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Me and my partner were beginners in fitness and he helped us improve our fitness and strength, and gain confidence with the various exercises he showed us over this period. From an introductory call regarding our current fitness and our goals, he then introduced us to several different exercises and changed these up as the weeks went on.
He is extremely knowledgeable about a whole range of fitness, cardio and strength exercises; helped us in our form/technique/posture, and also extremely motivating in helping us get over the finish line!
There was always a great line of communication, and the sessions were really great fun (and hard work:D).
He was also very flexible when we wanted to change the location of the sessions.
I would recommend Matthew as a personal fitness trainer, either for a 1-2-1 session, for a pair, or for an entire group!
Extremely satisfied with our training sessions with Matthew, hence the 5/5*star rating!!

Very glad to have come across Matthew as I attempted to get back into exercising following too long of a break during Covid.
The sessions with him were always highlights in the week, getting away from the desk and working out outside together with exercises designed to help reach my personal goals - these would be both fun and challenging. For example, I was really interested in calisthenics training and I have learnt lots of challenging exercises on the pull-up bar. The training sessions have always been diversified and I would be dead after - in a good way!

I had an amazing training with Matthew and just in 6 sessions I could see the results (I could do easily 10 full press ups with extended legs, where before I could hardly push to one:)
I was very impressed with Matthew’s communication and organisation skills. Every time he sent a reminder of the session and he’s always on time. He takes his teaching very professionally and with high passion. He’s friendly, but when it comes to training no messing around with him, no chit chatting and he’ll challenge you even when you think you can’t push anymore. I highly recommend training with Matthew and I’d definitely be training with him again.

Matthew is a very professional and friendly trainer. Excellent communication and punctuality. The calisthenics training was great and sessions in the park are a good level of challenge. We picked up a lot of useful exercises and circuits that you can do with any outdoor gym setup and no extra equipment. Perfect for those who don’t like the gym.

Matthew is an excellent personal trainer who offers more than just standing there watching you work out. He educates you on the muscle groups that are enganged and encourages you to get the most out your work out session. It helps that he is also moblie so if one week he needs to come nearer to me it helps. He's currently helping me be a superhero like him with all those muscle ups!

I'm not usually compelled to write reviews, but I thought this might be helpful to someone like me (an overweight, exercise hating & somewhat grumpy woman) looking for a personal trainer.
I've been training with Matt for just under a year and he is BRILLIANT, warm, patient and kind. I had been on my weight loss journey for a year before I started training with Matt, I had lost a decent amount of weight through diet alone and finally felt like I was at a stage to bring exercise into my routine.
I was extremely nervous and not at all confident at all, I have hated exercise all my life and have tried to avoid it as much as possible. Matt was friendly and unintimidating and took things at my pace for our initial sessions. Coming from zero fitness it takes a while to build up the workouts and Matt was very patient with me while I (quite literally) found my feet.
My fitness and confidence over the past year has increased so much, I've NEVER have pre-workout dread before one of my sessions with him. Even though it's hard work I always enjoy the sessions. Having said that, I huff and a puff and I moan and swear throughout, but Matt just meets all my protestations with a smile and pushes me to go that little bit further each time.
For the first time EVER I am actually enjoying exercise and I can't tell you how profoundly that is continuing to change my life. I have to thank Matt as a huge part of getting me to this point.
I'm now training for a half marathon and have never felt fitter or happier.
I hope to continue to work with Matt for years to come, providing he doesn't get too sick of my foul mouth and sweaty tomato-looking face!
