Reviews of Oxygen Fit Personal Training

Love the personal touch this gym gives. The staff make the effort to really get to know you and are always welcoming. It's never too busy, allowing you to just get on with your workout, and my personal trainer there has really held me accountable for reaching my goals and offers great support.

I decided to give Oxygen Fit’s remote training (during lockdown) a go because I was feeling more and more sluggish and unfit. I knew my own exercising was not pushing me at all.
My first call was just talking through my expectations, medical problems, and basic details. My first training session took me through a warmup and then exercises to suit my needs.
Each session seems to build on top of the last and finishes with encouraging set of exercises to continue before the next session.
I’m a technophobe so was worried about setting up my iPhone but it was as easy as anything.
I was nervous and a bit embarrassed about how unfit I am, but my trainer was so easy to talk to and so encouraging, the whole thing was great. Physically he pushed me on but he was very encouraging and friendly. I felt so motivativated that I have exercised each day, very unlike me!
I would recommend others to give this a go. I’m usually pretty hesitant at recommending things but this is so easy to set up even for technophobes and so motivating for even the most unfit!

I called and made an appointment to join this gym which had been recommended by a neighbour. When I arrived at the appointed time staff denied all knowledge of an appointment having been made, despite my giving the name of who I was supposed to see. I was asked to 'come back tomorrow.' Obviously my first impulse was to walk away and find somewhere else. However I really wanted a session and there is a shortage of good gyms in the area so I insisted on seeing someone. The man on reception found a trainer who would see me and asked me to wait ten minutes. I had to ask where I could sit and wait. But he gave me a bottle of water. I managed to join and after a few weeks am finding it a friendly, pleasant place. Smallish area, arranged on three floors but a good range of equipment, reasonably priced membership, adequate changing rooms although the lockers don't work very well. Only 3 stars because a) staff clearly need better training on the membership side. b) it is not made very clear exactly what is on offer. After a couple of weeks a friendly receptionist said that monthly reviews with a personal trainer were part of the membership package. I wasn't told this at the beginning. c) overloud music playing. I prefer to train in silence. It would be nice if they could have a couple of silent hours in the middle of day when there are few people. In all, 5 stars for friendliness, 2 for general efficiency.

I have to start off by saying that it isn't the cheapest gym around by a good £20 - £30 a month. It also isn't the most "corporate" looking place: it's quirky and a bit tatty round the edges. However, it's friendly, unintimidating, not overcrowded and charming. The staff are proactive and kind and the place has a family feel that none of the others do. 5 stars.

Fantastic little gem of a gym, focused on personal training and achievements rather than getting members to sign on the dotted line. Made up of enthusiastic owners husband and wife team ex military, fantastic staff who actually give a dam about exactly what you need to achieve what you want. Clean hot powerful showers and air conditioned, Friendly atmosphere....if Carlsberg did gyms....

I joined Oxygen Fit when I had reached a point where I was very overweight in September 2015. Within 6 months I had dropped over 12 kilos in weight. I had great support throughout, not only from my personal trainer, Connor, but from Neil and Emma and all the staff at the gym.
Unfortunately for me I have taken I'll and this has resulted in me being unable to train for some considerable time.
As soon as Neil realised that I had health issues he stopped my direct debits and told me he'd frozen any fees until I was fit enough to return to the gym. Nevertheless he kindly offered to allow me to come and use the facilities of the gym when I felt like I could manage to.
There has been continued support from all the team at Oxygen Fit and I have had nothing but positivity from them. I am made welcome at fitness and health lectures run by Neil. I can pop in for a chat about my health and receive guidance and advice.
I know I would not get this kind of support from a big gym where you are a faceless member and all they want is to make sure you pay the fees.
Oxygen Fit is totally different. The staff know the members. They know who you are. They know your aims and goals and they are all rooting for you. It's not about money. It's helping you achieve your goals. They all go the extra mile.
I can't thank them enough for the support they continue to give me. I'm encouraged to return to fitness and return to the gym and regain my achievements.

Awesome gym! Results orientated. They understand each person individually and as a physio I can tell you their training methods are great! They have the right balance and good natured people making a big difference to anyone who walks through their doors

A lovely personable gym, lovely staff, I stopped for a while and have now rejoined and discussed my goals and they are all helping me to achieve. I have been to many gyms in the past and this for me is by far the best.
