TomPT is a bit of a legend in our house! My husband persuaded me to have a trial session after he had amazing results with Tom and I’m really glad I did (I’d never set foot in a gym previously except to swim). Tom is an absolute professional, he really knows his stuff and is super encouraging while taking care to make sure you do the exercises correctly and safely and pushing you just the right amount. I never thought working out could be a pleasant experience but I really do look forward to our sessions. I have 100% confidence in Tom’s training methods and would recommend him to anyone whatever your fitness goals. Thank you Tom!

Tom is the best! The training schedule and nutrition plan that he suggested to me a few months back has worked amazingly well for me. We may put all the effort but we certainly need the guidance. Tom is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about performance fitness that it's infectious - I am someone who struggles to run 5k, but through week after week of well-planned, incremental training, I can feel myself getting stronger and dreaming about taking on longer hikes and bigger athletic challenges :) Plus he's just a really great guy to talk to so the sessions (almost) whizz by (he is still a tough taskmaster!). Tom is a fantastic PT. He is friendly, reliable and supportive. I’ve never worked with a PT before and was nervous for my first session, however, Tom immediately put me at ease. He doesn’t just boss you around like I’ve witnessed other PTs do, he works with you to improve your independent knowledge of fitness as you work towards your goals. Additionally, Tom is such a friendly character that you look forward to working out - and at the end, it feels as if you’ve had a gym session with a mate. He is also very generous with timetable changes and is as flexible as he can be with people’s busy life schedules. I had an injury at one point and Tom was great at incorporating rehab exercises into sessions enabling a quick recovery. You can tell that Tom really cares about his clients and that is reflected in how hard he works. Lastly, Tom gives great advice with regards to diet and additional fitness training (for instance if you have a race or event coming up). Since working with Tom, I’m definitely the fittest I’ve ever been and I wouldn’t hesitate in fully recommending him to anyone.

Overall Tom offers a first class PT service. His analytical methods with respect to diet, weightlifting and cardio are impressive. His tailored approach to fitness & nutritional planning helps achieve great results. His planning is meticulous and this enables you to focus on improving your strength and fitness which I have during my 6 months working with Tom (increased strength, muscle mass, lower body fat and much improved cardio performance). Tom is available to chat and support at all times during the week and a great guy to have as a PT.

I cannot recommend Tom highly enough. I've been very sports injury-prone for a few years and asked Tom to help make this go away. After 10 sessions with him, I have noticed an enormous difference and I've not had a niggle since. Tom is very knowledgable and always backs up his opinions by quoting research, which I find re-assuring. He is also very kind. Despite playing sport all my life, I'd never set foot in a gym. Tom took the time to go to my local gym with me and explain how all the equipment there works, which was extremely generous. Finally, his encouraging demeanour is very helpful, especially if you're new. You will not regret choosing Tom as a PT.

I discovered Tom in January as part of a new year’s resolution to become stronger and re-condition my body after a few sports injuries. Suffice it to say, thanks to Tom, this is the first new year’s resolution I’ve ever kept and I’m still working with him 10 months later.

I cannot recommend Tom as a personal trainer highly enough! From the beginning, he took the time to understand my lifestyle and objectives and is excellent at making sure that every session is tailored to my fitness goals. Tom's focus on teaching the right technique and his ability to motivate his clients to challenge themselves has helped me achieve a level of fitness that I would not have thought possible at the beginning. For example, I went from never having entered the weight training area of the gym to confidently deadlifting 50kgs! I also really appreciate the advice that Tom gives to his clients in relation to their fitness outside of the personal training sessions, including advice on nutrition and diet. I have been training with Tom for about a year when I wanted to get toned for my wedding which we achieved. Now that I am pregnant he has done a tone of research on the type of exercises that are appropriate which is helping me keep fit and healthy.
I have always struggled to find motivation to train regularly but have managed to get into a good routine since I met Tom. We work out once a week and he sends me exercises to do at home which I can easily fit in to a busy week.
All in all he is a fantastic PT and can't recommend him enough!

I started seeing Tom after training for about a year without noticing much measurable progress. Tom gave me the nutritional and training information and structure that I needed, whilst still allowing me the flexibility to fit it into my lifestyle (which includes a few drinks at the weekend…) and, after 12 weeks, I’ve significantly and measurably lowered my body fat and increased strength and performance. I honestly think I’m feeling and looking better than I have for 20 years. He’s also completely reliable and professional (confirming appointments, being punctual and promptly replying to messages) – which unfortunately I’ve found not all trainers to be! Tom is a fantastic trainer! He took the time at the start to personalise a targeted diet & exercise plan that was the right balance between doably gentle and effective – I started seeing results within the first month and I have now lost around 8kg in 4 months whilst building up muscle mass.
He is really supportive – available 7 days a week over WhatsApp – and attentive, changing my workout plan to push my PBs and circumvent injuries.
Since the lockdown Tom has gone online, providing great value with continued support and weekly catch-ups. 100% would recommend.

After many years of dipping in and out of fitness, and not seeing results, I became extremely frustrated. I needed help and someone to point me in the right direction while holding me accountable, so I reached out to Tom.
Tom's plan was simple, achievable, and tailored toward my goals. He is always available whenever I have a quick question or concern. While also being really invested in seeing you achieve your goals, with check in's looking at your progress, and altering the plan if needs be. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients, which is very hard to find in a trainer.
Tom gave me confidence in our 1to1 sessions, ensuring I was executing all the exercises with correct form, meaning I can go into the gym confidently by myself.

I have been working with Tom since early 2015 and couldn't be happier (I wouldn't still be with him if I wasn't)! Tom is super friendly, knowledgable, flexible and happy to cater sessions around your needs/desires. When I joined I wanted to work on my arms and core which we have improved and recently switched it up to include legs and glutes. I have a bad knee) and Tom is always conscious of it making sure not to aggravate it. Tom can advise on diet (or not) - I was never bothered with this in our first sessions so he dropped it as I eat healthily already. Without it being a goal I have lost over a stone since working out with TB by just focusing on the fitness. I would highly recommend Tom Blackett as a personal trainer and am very glad I live in Angel to be near him.
