I’ve been training with George from Ultra Peak Fitness for over five years - he’s trained me in power-lifting and running in particular. I went from being a very slow 5km/10km runner in 2013 to doing a three-day ultra marathon in 2015, plus I can lift more than I ever thought i’d be able to. George is really inspirational which I find important but way more important is that he’s so much fun to work with - I love our sessions and really look forward to them.

I really enjoy training with George, every session is something new, including new exercises I definitely would not have tried before. He pushes you quite hard to find your limit during sessions and provides great advice to help improve technique.
The tailored workouts he provides to do inbetween sessions are fun and easy to keep up with while also pushing yourself each time. He’s also very flexible with when you train so I was able to space a few sessions out over a longer period of time.
From being someone who has always been interested in fitness, this style of training has seen the greatest improvement to me so far!

George designed a personal training plan for my first marathon - it’s great. Really tailored to what I need and to address the areas I have struggled with. He gave me lots of strengthening and conditioning exercises not just hours of mindless running. I’d definitely recommend George if you are thinking of doing a big event and are daunted by all the generic training plans out there.

I spent some time training with George out in the Alps before the PLT endurance race. I have done several ultra events in the past and found my training with George to be the best training I had ever done. He is focused on improvement and has many helpful training tips. He also shares his knowledge on other aspects including strengthening techniques and nutrition advice. Best of all he makes you want to train and makes it feel enjoyable

George was honestly the most amazing personal trainer that I ever could have hoped for. When I first started training with George and he asked me to squat I did this totally pathetic slight knee bend. He not only told me I could do so much better but he built my confidence up through the use of bricks to show me how low I could go. Once I had mastered the technique we then started adding weights to really push me to do my best. I am now frequently complimented my men at the gym (not that gender should matter) about my squat technique and can squat 70kg. Something that I never thought would be possible and it is all thanks to George.
George also encouraged me to do other things that I hated like sprinting and when he saw I was suffering took the trouble to teach me how to run properly. Imagine having gone through all your life, including times when you ran long distance in country trials at school, to discover you weren't running properly! The effects of his training were immediately obvious, suddenly I could sprint properly, if not without fatigue, than at least without muscular pain.
George never took "no" for an answer. Always told me to get on with it but did so in a way that made training fun and enjoyable.
The only reason that George doesn't train me anymore is because he has moved on to pastures new. I know George misses ribbing me during training but I believe that is because he misses my backchat too ;)
If you want a trainer that will inspire you, get you out of your comfort zone, teach you the right technique, make you fitter than you thought you could ever be and make you laugh then George is the one for you!

I had heard good things which is why I tried Ultra Peak Fitness. George put together a great 3 month training plan to tackle the Himalayas. The results over that period have been impressive!

We went to George for a Sports Massage and would highly recommend him. He really knows what he is doing, knows how the body works and also gave us stretches/exercises to do at home. It's great to find a good sports massage in the area.

Just spent a weekend fell running with Ultra Peak Fitness. Certainly feeling fitter after some epic trails in pretty torrid weather! Would highly recommend, I will be out with Ultra Peak again no matter the weather!
