I recently completed my Level 5 Diploma in Integrative Health and Nutrition Coaching with Active Health Group. I thoroughly enjoyed the course material and found it sufficiently in-depth and challenging to justify this as a Level 5 course.
The tutors are all knowledgeable in their field and their zoom classes and videos kept the course interesting and interactive.
The company genuinely cares that it is delivering a quality learning experience which is recognised and valued in the 'real world'.
I would recommend this company if you are looking to study in this field.

Thank you to Richard and the team for the support over the last two years.
After completing the level 5 nutritional therapy I decided to also enrol in the level 6. I’m pleased to confirm I have now successfully completed both levels and working as a registered nutritional therapist. Thanks again!

The level 5 health coaching course is very comprehensive. There is a lot to study and a lot of material and extra reading, and I enjoyed being able to do it at my own pace (which with the new course I believe might no longer be possible so you’d want to check).
The online platform is good to use.
The price is great, compared to other courses out there this is way cheaper and I feel has got more content with the research I did.
What would have made it better and 5 stars:
- more feedback on the assignments, especially the coaching case studies
- a more exact grade for the assignments and a final grade the overall course
- more health coaching specific coaching videos. The majority of the videos are life coaching or business coaching.
-didn’t get the business mentoring that was mentioned at the beginning, only access to another online course which felt generic
The company is constantly trying to get better and improve so all this might come soon!

I’ve done many courses with AHG and they never fail to disappoint.
Clinical Pilates is a new thing for me and I’ve found it challenging but I know this will benefit both me and clients a great deal.
Kirsty and Charlie are both extremely knowledgeable and brilliant tutors, very supportive. Feedback is detailed and allows for progression. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to embark on this journey.

Having personally completed a course via AHG, my experience has been positive throughout. Helpful and responsive tutors & coaches, information and course materials were varied, and continued access to materials is a huge bonus. I definitely recommend them!

I studied and completed the Level 5 Health Coaching certification programme with Active Health Group. I found them to be very supportive and the live coaching sessions that they offered were really informative and helped me to understand the processes required for effecting coaching. Highly recommend.

I would 100% recommend Active Heath Group for anyone looking to study Sports Massage / Soft Tissue Therapy.
I attended the level 3 Sports Massage course in January this year. The course content and tuition during hands on practice in the 2 week practical were phenomenal, our tutors were incredibly knowledgeable and the team have been very supportive ever since with any queries I've had.
I didn't hesitate to enroll in the level 4 course and was supposed to attend for the practical in April. Of course, this was not possible due to lock-down amidst the global pandemic. However, the team at AHG put together additional video tuition as well as around 3 weeks of live zoom lessons to teach us the theory. This has been an incredible help both in preparing me for the practical classes yet to come and keeping me motivated to get on with my studies.
AHG clearly put a lot of hard work and devotion in to looking after their students during the lock down and I couldn't be happier with the way they handled it.

Have used Active Health for the last 7 years, the level 5 sports therapy diploma, changed my life and my career. The training is unrivalled and the after support is amazing, Christian and Richard are amongst the industry leaders. Even the modular workshops including the medical acupuncture levels 1 and 2 by freelance tutor's are amazing. I am booked on again with them for 2 workshops this month. I'm soon glad I found active health

I trained at Active Health Group a few years ago, completing an advanced Level 5 course. I've since returned for CPD training, adding a variety of skills to my repertoire. There is always support and advice freely given, no matter where you are in your career. I am proud to be part of the AHG team, speaks volumes that I would be happy to come and teach with them. A great place to work and learn, somewhere that constantly drives forward.

I trained at Active Health Group 3 years ago and I’m now loving my new career as a Sports Therapist. The tutors are excellent and have decades of experience in the profession, so you are learning from some of the best therapists in the business. I re-visit AHG at least 4 times a year for CPD courses and learning new skills such as Medical Acupuncture, Lymphatic Drainage and Pitch Side First Aid.
Highly recommended to anyone considering learning Sports Therapy as a skill. 5 Stars

I have done various CPD days with AHG over the last few years. Always find the courses to be informative, up to date and delivered in a fun and practical manner. All courses are very interactive and draw on the expertise of Richard, Christian and the team to pass this knowledge on. The guys are always approachable and keen to support with any follow up. Highly recommend for CPD in the sports therapy industry.

I have waited to write this review and will explain, I first started studying after personal research and then the proverbial leap some 7 months ago. I passed my first level, practiced, then felt ready go for the next level. I without hesitation came back to Active Health Group. What I liked, too much to mention, however what you are getting over and above your course is the combined years of experience of current practicing successful and highly knowledgeable enthusiastic therapists! This challenges you as a student to grow personally and professionally. Now as a practicing therapist in the real world I see the results of helping clients on a daily basis who's comments and recommendations to others speak for themselves!

I did my Level 5 and some more courses recently with AHG and would highly recommend every time. Richard, Christian, Karen and the rest of the team are fantastic, knowledgeable and make you feel welcome. The practical elements are invaluable! The aftercare and support is also great.

I spent several years Teaching for Active Health, and I can safely say that the students who came on the courses directly from AHG were extremely well trained, very professional and a pleasure to work with. You’d be hard pushed to find a more complete Sports Therapy training program and you can quote me on that.

I attended an Electrotherapy workshop recently and was really impressed. Richard, the tutor, combined theory and practical very well. We received essential information/theory concisely, allowing time for crucial hands-on practise and use of equipment. To say this was a one-day workshop, I feel surprisingly confident to use electrotherapy in the future. This workshop will probably save me money because Richard also gave me key advice on what equipment to invest in for my size of business. There was no hard-sell of specific equipment either, which was refreshing. The learning environment was friendly, engaging and the tutors could not do enough. After the workshop had finished, I asked Christian and Richard for advice about other courses that Active Health offer. They were amazing - sitting down with me for nearly an hour. Exceptional customer service.

I studied Kinesiology (science of human movement) and Exercise Science to master's degree level, which included a significant sports medicine/physical therapy component. The techniques and quality of instruction delivered by Active Health Group's tutors was better than anything I received at university. Furthermore, the reputation of AHG and the strength of the sports therapy diploma were instrumental in my being accepted to study a PhD in Biophysics (so said the admissions tutor). If you want to be a sports therapist, you can train with anyone; if you want to be one of the best sports therapists in the world, train with Active Health Group.

I love training with AHG, all the tutors are so knowledgeable and passionate about their field. The support I received both in lessons and out, when doing assignments was amazing. Will definitely be doing more training with them.

@Ivan Dansigman, having checked, you were never a student at Active Health Group. We have been running a Level 5 course for 19 years, and have trained over 3,000 sports therapists, with the vast majority of our students coming via referrals from our happy graduates, most of whom go on to have successful practices. We have students attend from all over the world, as well as all over the UK, who stay in Manchester for the duration of the course. Our Level 5 course far exceeds the national standard (you can fact check this very easily), meets the requirements to register with the Sports Therapy Regulator (not many can claim to be able to do this), and our graduates have used the course as entry to physiotherapy, and fast track into osteopathy degrees. We regularly update our course content, based on new findings in the Sports Medicine field, and as a private training provider, we can do this immediately and not have to wait 3 years to change a syllabus, so our content is always more relevant. We are organisational members of FIMS which is the International Federation of Sports Medicine, so we can link with Sports Medicine institutions across the world to ensure we have the very best research to hand.
@Jason Ryan, I am sorry that someone has been cold calling you from Gumtree, but it is definitely not someone from Active Health Group. We are a training school, and don't go anywhere near Gumtree to do any kind of business. We advertise on Google and Social Media. We have inbound calls to our training office, and are not in the kind of business to do cold-calling of any kind.
I hope this clears up both of these reviews that do not appear to be related to Active Health Group. Please scroll down to see the genuine 5 star reviews that we have gained over the years from people that can be verified.

Qualified with AHG as a Level 5 sports therapist this year. I love the quality of training and the techniques are brilliant. I'll definitely be back. The structure of the courses were perfect for fitting around my day job.

I trained at AHG under the tuition of Richard, Christian and other AHG instructors. Their knowledge, understanding and professionalism is second to non and I would highly recommend them to other students. I look forward to going back on other courses in the near future to learn more off the AHG team.

Just completed my level 5 health coaching course after 2 years of study in my own time. I enjoyed the course, learnt a lot, and have seen quite a few improvements to the course since starting, as it is continually reviewed and updated where necessary. Recommend for price and qualification gained as recognised by the UKIHCA.
