Sarah has been a fantastic coach for me. I have trained for over 10 years but have plateaued over the past 12 months and my diet has been all over the place. From initial consultation through to weekly check-ins and programs (and everything in between), Alex has been there for me supporting me in my fitness journey.
The most important part of my new fitness regime was that I didn't want to sacrifice my quality of living. In other words, I wanted to be able to treat myself without feeling guilty whilst adding fitness to my life. Rather than diet and gym taking it over.
Working with Alex over the last year has enabled me to do just that. Numbers on the scale, which I previously thought of as the be-all and end-all, gave way to wanting to push myself in the gym to lift heavier for no other reason than to prove to myself that I could.
Meals with no thought and empty calories gave way to lunches prepped in advance and guilt-free meals out/celebrations when the time calls for it.
Last month I joined the 100kg club in the deadlifts, hit record high numbers on squats, and bench pressed more than I ever thought was possible.
The message which made me get in touch was Alex was, "do you want to be in the same position this time next year?". I answered no, and can say this year I'm not!
