Jonathan is great at introducing new exercise ideas that have got me moving and keeping fit. He is brilliant at making sure I am safe, but working hard. I have loved every session and keep going back for more!

Jonathan has been training me for 4 months now. We use zoom to meet for 30 minutes each week. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1996 and have managed to maintain a level of mobility, but over the past 4 years this has been deteriorating.
I can honestly say that the specific exercises Jonathan has shown me have contributed to me being stronger and more mobile than I have been for years.
His approach is unique because he listens. I mean he really listens to me and then he suggests an exercise ... and then we work together to adapt that exercise.
I have always worked out since the age of 13. I know what my body is still capable of and where I have challenges, and Jonathan has shown me new exercises. Since my first lying looped band single leg press to a basic dead bug; from stagger rows to shoulder mobility I cannot believe the level of improvement.
6 weeks ago I was able to get onto my spin bike and have the strength to stand and slowly pedal. I now do 2 spin sessions a week. I have also started indoor rowing twice a week since building my leg strength and recovering from an old shoulder injury - it's all been as a result of Jonathan’s exercises.
Yes, it takes effort on my behalf ... but knowing Jonathan is working in my best interests has made such a difference. I would trust him to suggest the right thing for me and do the same for you.

We have been working with Johnathan both in person and remotely for a few months now and would highly recommend him as a person and personal trainer. Johnathan is very responsive to our needs (physical and learning disabilities) and has made the sessions accessible and engaging. He has sparked a desire and willingness to exercise and we have really enjoyed the sessions. They have developed our strength and coordination and are contributing towards a better quality of life. We highly reccomend Motion North East if you are looking to improve your health and fitness.

I have been working with Johnathan for a while now and I can't speak highly enough not him. Not only does Jonathan make our workouts fun and exciting, he knows what he's talking about and even makes them engaging over zoom and whilst being over 100 miles away!
If you're on the fence about doing this, I would recommend jumping it. I have had more energy, felt happier and lost weight in the time that we've been working together and I truly look forward to our weekly sessions!

Excellent personal trainer, kept me fit, motivated and sane via Zoom during Covid 19 lockdown. Highly recommended for anyone, especially those with visual and/or physical impairments. Great for adaptive gym training.

I have been having weekly remote training sessions now since September. We do resistance training to support my goals in my wheelchair.
In that time frame Johnathon's work coupled with my own cardio exercise has seen me lose 35kg and from being able to wheel less than a mile to a maximum distance of 29 miles. I have even entered The Great North Run!
