I started off doing PT with Jo 3 years ago, and since then have continued with boot camp and her online exercise programme. Jo provides a great variety of workouts meaning each PT session or boot camp is different and motivating. She has a friendly, supportive approach to the workouts but always pushes everyone to continue improving.
During lockdown Jo has adapted her business to ensure she has been able to keep the FitFam active. Regular online workouts and challenges along with boot camps on zoom has been brilliant. It has enabled me to workout at a time that is convenient to me but the challenges gave focus and ensured I remained motivated. Personally the availability of these classes and the community Jo has created has kept me sane through these strange times. I would thoroughly recommend Jo to anyone looking to make fitness progress in very fun, friendly and supportive environment.

I’ve started training with Jo last summer when I signed up to her bootcamps and absolutely loved each of my training sessions. The session with Jo not only gives your body a push to stay fit, but your mental health is lifted too. Jo makes training fun and fulfilling, and has definitely helped me improve my fitness and physique. I not only found a good PT but also a great friend! I would definitely recommend her to everyone who wants to get fitter and have fun while working out :)

For the past 6 months I've had both individual personal training sessions with Jo and I have been attending her group sessions too. My running, abs, and overall strength have improved dramatically since starting. If you ask to be pushed hard she will more than deliver a challenging session. I can honestly say that in the 6 months Jo has been training me I've never had the same session twice. The sessions are always interesting and challenging. Joanna is both passionate & knowledgeable about the industry. She offers advice above and beyond to all her clients. I've made some great friends through the group sessions (#nightingalefitfam) and highly recommend Jo and Nightingale fitness.

I have been having regular PT sessions for the past 3 months with Joanna. Jo is fantastic! She is a great athlete, very professional, and most importantly a fun person to go to gym with! She is extremely passionate about what she does. She puts a lot of effort to suit your training needs and tailors the sessions to ensure you get the most out of it. During the sessions, we have covered strength training, cardio sessions, kickboxing and hit sessions. Results have been great, I feel stronger and healthier. Joanna is very flexible, she would not mind to meet up at the gym at 7 am in the morning or 10 pm at night if this is what suits your lifestyle.

I've been working with Jo since September, getting support through both PT sessions and boot camps and have to say that she is incredible! I've been reluctant to use a PT before but she tailors the sessions for you and your individual goals . She's found the perfect combination of challenge, support and fun! Her January Jumpstart has given me the exact boost I needed to pick my back up after the Christmas over-indulgence. Jo is a great personal trainer. She really pushes me to my limits and never lets me give up when I want to. Jo took a great understanding of why I wanted a personal trainer, she is helping me achieve the fitness level I want. I noticed improvements within the first few weeks of seeing Jo. I've been to a number of Boot Camp classes both inside and out. Jo makes everyone feel welcome, she modifies and adapts workouts depending on skill and any ailments. She has created #nightingalefitfam who all inspire and encourage you to hit your goals. You get real results working out with Jo. She even offers some free trial sessions so you can see if you like it first!

I was recommended Joanna by a friend, and I am so pleased I was. After being a member of a gym for years and not seeing any results, after 10 sessions with Nightingale Fitness I have lost 1 stone and 41.5cm’s in body measurements. Not only do I feel fitter, stronger, but finally feel confident in my clothes, ticking each and every one of my goals.
I had a hip injury prior to starting my PT Sessions, which Joanna took note off, and planned the sessions around. My sessions were varied and Jo makes you feel really comfortable, even when being pushed outside your comfort zone. But, don’t be fooled by Joanna’s lovely personality – she’s no push over and has this amazing trait that somehow pushes you right until that final beep, so you don’t, and can’t slack!
Nightingale Fitness also offers weekly Boot Camps and Online Plan – which is prefect for me now to ensure I do not put my weight back on, which let’s face it, it’s the one thing we all dread! The WOW (Women Only Workout) is a really friendly welcoming class, making it comfortable to attend on your first session, when you may not know anyone. The Online Plan is really motivating, especially when you see everyone posting their workouts, and earning their stars – it definitely makes you want to move! I’m now into my 2nd week alone (without any PT sessions, and still losing weight)
I cannot thank Joanna enough for introducing me to a world of fitness that doesn’t just involve running on a treadmill, for all her help and support, and for my awesome results in a short space of time – which also involved some weekends away(!!) demonstrating that what she does, really does work.

I have been working with Nightingale Fitness for about six months now, doing a few sessions in the late summer and then taking on the eight week bootcamp series. I am on to my second eight week session and I thoroughly enjoy them. Joanna brings a bubbly personality that really makes the session more enjoyable. She understands who she can push and who she needs to encourage. I am one who needs to be pushed. Joanna recognizes that and pushes me hard to get more out of me. Her workouts are varied enough to where something new hurts each week after the workout. (The good hurt).
As a point of my background: I bike long miles, run marathons, and lead my own HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) groups. I have been taking boot camp style classes for about six years now. I understand which ones work and which ones don't. Nightgale Fitness' classes work!!!

I found Jo and Nightingale Fitness completely by chance on Facebook while looking for a female Personal Trainer in Newbury to help my youngest daughter prepare for a services fitness test… and I struck gold. Both myself and both my daughters are now involved in Jo’s #fitfam, benefitting from her superb personal training and weekly boot camps. Jo not only improves your physical fitness, but your confidence and self-belief too. Always with a smile and a laugh she is a real boost to everyone and is flexible; accommodating to your needs and timetable. She is a real support to you in attaining your goals and while sessions with her are always a lot of fun, she will work you hard and push you out of that comfort zone – but to great effect. I've been having PT Sessions with Jo for the last few months. I was initially very nervous of how unfit I was and if this would be right for me. I had no reason to worry, Jo is very encouraging and motivational. She even persuaded me to attend ParkRun with her! I have realised how far i have come along with my training so am very pleased.
I have signed up to the bootcamps for June and July and can't wait to train with Jo again.

I've been training with Jo at Nightingale Fitness for about nine months now and I can't recommend her highly enough. I've been a regular at her weekly bootcamps, which are tough, varied and so much fun, and I've also had a brilliant one-to-one session with her, where she tailored the activities to my preferences (lots of boxing!). Jo was even kind enough to write me a personalised daily programme to help build my core and upper body strength when I spoke to her about my frustrations with my ability in this area. Jo is fantastic at making sure everyone gets something from her classes; I made the mistake of saying I could have gone for a couple more rounds of circuits one week and she's been upping the ante ever since! The best indication of her ability to motivate and get the best out of people shows in the improvements in my overall fitness. I do weekly 5k parkruns and my best times were all around 26-27 minutes from 2012-2015. In 2016, after training regularly with Jo, I got down to 24:49. I fully attribute this improvement to the help Jo has given me and I can't wait to see even more gains in 2017!

My aim was quite simple, loss 8Kg in 8 weeks and in a way that was sustainable for the long term (No fad diet). From my initial consultation and PT sessions Joanna gave sound professional advice followed up by testing bootcamp sessions. Nightingale Fitness is absolutely fantastic!
From the first time I met Joanna from Nightingale Fitness I could tell how passionate she was about fitness and helping people reach their goals no matter their ability. Now three boot camps in I can still say the exact same thing.
It all starts with a friendly chat over some coffee where she learns about your needs and that friendly nature continues throughout. Unlike some of the scary PT's you see out there, shouting and screaming at you with huge muscles telling you to push harder, Joanna has a wonderful way of motivating you through positive reinforcement and a great personality. Her bootcamps are absolutely fantastic; she offers a range of bootcamps from outdoor or indoor classes to bespoke bootcamps like getting fit for Skiing or getting ready for a wedding.
When you join Nightingale Fitness you don't just sign up to get fitter/healthier, you also become part of a family. Together 50+ people took part in a January Jumpstart challenge and there was so much motivation and inspiration within the group it was amazing! The boot camps share this wonderful atmosphere with everyone being so nice and friendly, they really are an absolute pleasure to attend! There are some great things you can get involved in too with Nightingale Fitness such as weekend walks, local races such as ParkRuns or 5/10k, as well as great initiatives such as the January Jumpstart.
I cannot recommend Nightingale Fitness highly enough!

Jo is really passionate and knowledgeable and works with you to get great results whatever your goals may be. She quickly adapts her approach to suit each individual and tailors the sessions to ensure you get the most out of it. Jo has clients at all levels of athletic ability and works with people with variety of goals, from general weightloss, weightloss for a particular event such as a wedding, a specific fitness goal or competition or just a general desire to become fitter and stronger.
Nightgale fitness has been really key to my fitness and weightloss achievements so far and I couldn’t recommend them more. Thanks Jo!
I am also taking part in January Jumpstart 2017, an event involving daily workouts and goals, and a group event each weekend such as a parkrun, bootcamp or walk. All these components are completely free and incorporate a Facebook community group of people to help motivate eachother and celebrate eachothers progress and achievements. This is a fantastic initiative and the #NightingaleFitFam are a great group of people.

I would highly recommend Jo to help those who may have physical or emotional barriers to improving their fitness or weightloss because of her care and compassion to each individual persons needs. It is not a one size fits all programme.
I did a 10 week programme of 1:1 personal training with Jo at the end of last year after 3 years of ever increasing weight that was out of control since being diagnosed with a melanoma. I also have Fibromyalgia and have previously broken my back so I was always very protective of my body. I had convinced myself I was never going to be able to train enough in my 'old' age to lose weight ever again. Jo saw this as a challenge and has proven me wrong. Four months later I am 2 stone lighter!
If you have known you need that 1:1 support but have found the idea of a PT too intimidating or embarrassing then please go too Jo and work together with her to see how she can help.

I've been doing th January Jumpstart with Jo and she's included exercises for those of all abilities. She's corrected me on my form for some exercises so I don't cause myself an injury and on top of that, she's great at motivating people to exercise.
I've also been to a couple of her boot camps and love exercising in the outdoors- she had little team games which have definitely bought out my competitive streak!

Thanks to my time with Jo, I have lost 3 stone 5 lbs over 9 months. I now have far more energy, feel less tired and feel able to deal with the hum drum and challenges of life. I go to the gym regularly, enjoy swimming and walking. My knee no longer hurts and I have not needed a further steroid injection. I have an increased zest and positivity for life. My diet is much improved, as is my mood. My BMI was obese and now it is healthy. How did I do it – discipline, diet, exercise, water and Jo’s support.

Joanna you are an exceptional trainer. I had thyroid and losing weight was a task for me. You not only motivated me to give my best but also showed me that losing weight with thyroid was possible. I could only train with you a couple of months before moving but you were hands down the best support I had. You were always there for me and it showed in the short time we worked together. You really helped me by giving me all the tools to push myself in the right direction. If I had not moved to United states, I would still be working with you. I have been a Bootcamper with Nightingale fitness since Summer 2016. I have attended Bootcamps before but I found this much more beneficial and noticed real changes in my body shape and improvements to my fitness. The classes are different every week, you can work to your ability and it is a friendly and social group. All in all, the classes are enormous fun to attend and I have gone in the pouring rain, blazing sunshine and sloshed in the mud (and snow), just because I don't want to miss it!

She won't let you slack if she thinks you can push yourself but she adjusts the workout to match the ability. Best all round solution. If you are a seasoned pro she can help you with techniques, if you are a total newbie like me, she can get you fit without causing any damage.
