It was an absolute pleasure working with Calum and having him capture our wedding day in June! From start to finish he was so accommodating and friendly, and made everyone feel at ease in front of the camera. My husband and I were both nervous about having our photo taken but from our engagement shoot to the big day itself, Calum made us feel totally relaxed and enjoy the moments! Our wedding day was captured perfectly and we absolutely love our photos. We are so grateful that Calum also captured the candid, intimate moments from the day that we didn't recall at the time- from pictures of grandparents, to tiny details from our venue- they are truly special memories we will cherish. Thank you for being part of our special day Calum! We cannot recommend you enough- a true professional!

I've been lucky enough to have Calum photograph my pre-wedding shoot, my "should have been" wedding and my actual wedding! Calum is an amazing photographer and always ensures everyone is at ease, capturing real smiles with his unintrusive, fly-on-the-wall technique. As well as capturing the professional set-pieces you'd expect from a wedding photographer, his ability to recognise important moments throughout the day is second to none - resulting in a really special collection of photos. Calum photographed our wedding in July and he did an incredible job. He captured every important moment and more (I'm not even sure how he managed it). Calum went above and beyond every step of the way and we felt like he truly cared about capturing our day. Before our wedding, he took the time to get to know us, make sure he knew who was who of our guests, and talk about photo locations with us. On the day we felt totally at ease (even though we were nervous about feeling awkward being photographed). What can we say about Calum that hasn’t been said. As soon as we saw that Calum who went to school with Judy was doing wedding photography it was an obvious choice and one that we are so delighted with. Forgetting for a moment the absolutely amazing pictures he took that we continue to be asked about by everyone the actual taking off the photos was just so easy. Calum made it all feel so relaxed and just simple. We’ve all been to weddings where the photographer is so busy making sure that everyone’s dress is at the same length and angle that by the time the photo is taken it’s a forced smile through gritted teeth. Well not with Calum. He makes everyone relax and we both personally had so much fun and laughs that getting the pictures taken felt like being out with your mates. Some of the shots and settings that he put us in although we didn’t appreciate it at the time you do get a true wow when you see the finished picture. It’s a credit to his amazing talent that even now we still get that buzz when we look at them after over 6 months. We feel he caught us perfectly and even chose backgrounds and settings that fitted us down to the ground. We couldn’t recommend him more. If you have the chance to get Calum to do your pictures jump at it, you won’t regret it for a second.

Our experience with Calum has been amazing from start to finish. He is incredibly personable and made us feel completely at ease during the entirety of our wedding day at Pittodrie House. He worked alongside the staff there to make sure everything was coordinated and even helped the guys get dressed properly in their kilts! Calum was fantastic to work with from start to finish, he was so accommodating during all of the uncertainty and nothing was too much effort or bother for him. We met for an engagement shoot before hand and he made us both feel so comfortable and so at ease right away. During the day our guests all commented on how he made the atmosphere feel exciting, comfortable and relaxed, he managed this without feeling imposing or fake! Unbeknown to us, during the day he pottered about getting the photos of my wife's dress, shoes and accessories without being asked, he even noticed that our wedding cake toppers had not been set up correctly and put them in the right place!!! During his meal Calum was working away and even had half a dozen photos edited for us to see by the time we had finished eating, he even managed to get the full album sent to us way before we expected! During our conversations before the wedding we briefly mentioned that it was important that our grandparents were there and we would love some photos of them, he obviously listened to our request and managed to get lots of photos of grandparents and other important guests during the wedding, both posed and casual.His photos are beautiful and we really feel he has managed to capture our personality with them, if you are thinking about booking Calum, do it!!!!!!

Wow what can we say Calum is amazing at what he does! My wife and I knew Calum was the photographer for us before we’d even booked our venue, such a calm, friendly and charming individual who certainly knows what he’s doing behind a camera. My partner and I decided very last minute that we wanted to get married before the birth of our baby boy. We contacted lots of photographers in the area but loved calums work the best and we also really liked that he had a little questionnaire to find out more about us and used this when talking to us as he brought up how we met. Although we had a very small wedding I was determined to have a photographer and was so pleased we went with calum. He answered all of my questions before the big day and also helped coordinate us all pre-ceremony so that my fiancé didn't see me beforehand. From the initial contact to the final product Calum is a pro! Due to family a situation the location of the wedding had to be changed at the last minute, this was no problem for Calum- and he was quick to haul his kit to Insch War Memorial Hospital. It was a very emotional day, stress levels were high but Calum was a calming influence on the adults and a welcome distraction for the kids. His kind nature put the entire wedding party at ease. As there were only twelve us us there it was a very intimate wedding, Calum was very respectful of the situation and captured some amazing shots. I would not hesitate to recommend Calum for your special day. Complete flexibility, good advise and an amazing eye for detail- what more could you want in a photographer, one small piece of advice- book him soon- you won't regret it. Thank you Calum

We went for a Mini Shoot in November and the pictures turned out stunning. Even though it was a grey and windy day Calum went out of his way to find a suitable spot for the pictures. The mini shoots are perfect for young children and Calum was really good interacting with our young daughter, he managed to make her laugh and smile and feel really comfortable.
